Cepheus
I'm hopping onto the trend of the adventure diaries, like the mono-type runs and whatever... In a few days ORAS will be finally released in EU, and I planned on doing a Wonderlocke run in Alpha Sapphire. I'm creating this topic beforehand so I can kickstart and I don't need to write this introduction right before I start playing This will be my very first "-locke" ever. Here are my rules for this run: - The wonderlocke will end after the Champ is defeated and the story therefore completed. - On every route or area only the first encountered Pokemon is to be caught! - Every caught Pokemon is to be wondertraded immediatly! - Every Pokemon obtained through wonder trade has to meet certain criteria:--- The obtained Pokemon must be inside the current Level-Cap of obedience (2.Badge Level 30, 4. Badge Level 50, 6. Badge Level 70, 8. Badge Level 100 - if it is still like in the original)--- The obtained Pokemon must NOT be 10 or more levels above the Pokemon with the highest level in the team--- If a Pokemon does not meet theese criteria it is to be wondertraded again until a Pokemon, which meet the criteria is obtained - When a Pokemon is defeated, it is considered dead, and has to be released or put into a special PC-Box. - Ressurecting Pokemon -> Reviving Items are not to be bought! However the ones found through out the game may be used, but only INFIGHT and only in the turn that follows up after the Pokemon fainted... like it's in a dying stat for one turn. Reviving after a fight by any means is prohibited! - After the following battles the team-member with the highest level is to be retired from the team and to be stored into a special PC-Box:--- Rival-Battle, Team-Aqua Boss Battle, Gym-Battle - Limited Team Pokemon allowed:--- Beginning with a maximum of 3 team-pokemon, with every 2 achieved gym-badges the maximum increases by 1 (0-1 Badge = 3 Pokemon, 2-3 Badges = 4 Pokemon, 4-5 Badges = 5 Pokemon, 6+ Badges = 6 Pokemon) - I may continue as long as I have reserve Pokemon in the PC, that have not been used. Retired Pokemon may not be used again (except for the use of SURF, described further down) - As soon as SURF is needed to advance in the story and there is no water-type or a Pokemon that can learn SURF on the team, I am allowed to catch or reuse a water-type to be able to use SURF. This Pokemon is prohibited to be used in battle. - The Run is over once I have no more Pokemon left to use in the PC. ------------------------------ That's it, as soon as I get my hands on my copy of Alpha Sapphire I will start my little "diary" here. You can expect the first part on Friday 28th, the official release date of ORAS in EU ... maybe even one or two days earlier thanks to my trusty electronics store, we will see
Cepheus
Chapter 1 - A wonderful Journey begins "Hi, my name is Sapphire. I'm a 10 year old girl. Me and my family just moved to the Hoenn region, specifically Littleroot Town, because my Dad has become a Gym-Leader in Petalburg City. My Dad moved here before because of his new job, and now me and my mom have finally arrived." As I climbed out of our truck I watched into the sky, and I thought I saw a Pokemon there between the clouds, but my mom called me up to go into our new home. Inside there were a few Machokes moving our stuff around. Mom told me that Dad got me a new clock for my new room, so I went upstairs to set the time, and look at my new room... my Lapras-Doll is so cute and fluffy! When I went down to the Living room my Dad was in a TV show giving an interview, but I just missed it... Mom told me I should visits Dads old Professor Birch, he is our neighbor... so I went next door to pay him a visit. There a Woman greeted me, must be Prf. Birch's wife, she told me they have a son in my age and I should go upstairs and say hi... I feel a bit uncomfortable just barging into his room... if a boy would just come into my room I would freak out... what if I were just changing? - creepy... He was actually kinda chill, but he thought I would be a boy because I was the child of a gym-leaders... yeah because girls can't be the child of a gym-leader?? His name is Brendan. He asked me if he should catch a Pokemon for me - as if I'm not capable of doing it myself - but he almost forgot that he had promised his Dad to catch Pokemon for him, to help him in his studies... and then he ran off, leaving me standing arkwardly in his room... Well I better leave. Professor Birch wasn't at home and not at his Lab... but his assistant told me he was out doing research on Route 101 right before the town, so I went to Route 101. A litte boy told me that he heard someone screaming and as I moved on I also heard someone calling for help. There was a guy being chased by a Poochyena... he told me I should grab a Pokeball from his bag and use the Pokemon inside to help him out. There were 3 Pokeballs, each containing a different Pokemon: Treecko - a Grass-Type Torchic - a Fire-Type (soooo cute!!) Mudkip - a Water-Type I chose Treecko. As cute as Torchic is, I know a guy in Kalos who has a Torchic, and is willing to send me one. And I also know someown who owns a Mudkip. I send Treecko against that Poochyena, ad after a few Absorbs it ran away. The Man I just saved was Professor Birch, we went back to his Lab, and he allowed me to keep Treecko as my first Pokemon, YAY! He told me his son, Brendan, is on Route 103, and that I should look for him. On my way I encountered a few wild Pokemon but Treecko could beat them easily, the first one I encountered on Route 101 was a Wurmple. In Oldale Town a man, working at the PokeMart approached me and gave me a few tips and a free Potion! As I enterd Route 103 I could see Brendan from a far, and I aproached him, and he challanged me to battle... and of course he uses a Torchic, way to be fair to newbie... but my Treecko managed to beat his Torchic, easily. And back to the Lab... Professor Birch handed me a Pokedex, and Brendan gave me a few Pokeballs... but why? I don't understand... I never mentioned that I wanted to go on a journey... Mom called me and told me to visit Dad... and that I should be careful on my way. As I wanted to leave Brendan came up and updated my PokeNav, because his Dad forgot it earlier. Also he taught me how to sneak up on a hidden Pokemon... it was Poochyena and it knew Thunder Fang! Wow! Treecko was a bit harsh and hit it a bit to strong so I coudln't catch it... I'm on my way to Petalburg City and on Route 102 I encountered a few Trainer, which I could beat easily with my Treecko. Here I encountered a Surskit, with it's Bug-Moves it hit my Treecko really hard, but I was able to catch it! Yay, my first Pokemon! But for whatever reason Surskit didn't want to come out of it's Pokeball... hmmm... I finally arrived at Petalburg City and met my Dad, he showed me his new Gym, and then a young boy came into the gym and asked my dad for a Pokemon. His name is Wally, he seems a bit shy and insecure. Dad gave him a Zigzagoon and a few Pokeballs so he could catch his own Pokemon. Dad wanted me to go look after him. He encountered a Ralts, and he wasn't even to clums and catched it. I think he will has the talent to be a great Pokemon-Trainer. We went back to Dad and gave him back his Zigzagoon. Wally even Updated my PokeNav with the Player-Search-System, or "PSS" for short, the Pokemon-Ami System and the Super-Training-System. WOW! How generous, and I just stood there and watched him catch that Ralts. Dad told me I should go on a Journey and fight the different Gym-Leaders of Hoenn... of course I would have to battle Dad sometime... The first Gym I should visit is in Rustboro City... OK! If Dad wants me to go on a journey, so be it! But first I need to go home and tell Mom! Also he told me why my Surskit didn't want to come out of it's Pokeball... because it wasn't my Surskit anymore! - I was shocked! It is some kind of mysterious force, that chooses natural born trainers (I'm flattered) once a Pokemon is caught, it is immediatly traded for another Pokemon of another talented Trainer... they call it "Wondertrade" Also he told me that I could only have a certain amount of Pokemon with me, depending on the number of Badges I own. Apperantly for now I am stuck with a maximum of three Pokemon in my Team. To make matters worse - I can't allow my Pokemon to be defeated... because they will never be able to fight again, what kind of horror is this? I thought that is what Pokecentres are for?? And my Pokeballs won't catch any Pokemon that I didn't encounter as my first Pokemon on a given Route or area?? What is this madness??? Oh great Arceus, why did you chose me for such a cruel fate? I checked Surskits Pokeball again, and the Pokemon inside was a Ralts! It was just level 1, acording to it's data but hey, I'm a Trainer and I will make it grow stronger! As I went back to Littlerot Town to visit Mom and tell her that I'm going on a journey, I caught a Wurmple... because that was the only Pokemon I could catch on Route 101. I checked Wurmple Pokeball, like I did with Surskit, and inside was Shelmet! It was Level 30! Wow!!! But... the data get scrambled? What is going on?? Suddenly the Shelmet in the Pokeball changed into a Wurmple?? But that was not my Wurmple... Why did it do that? I have to ask dad when I am in Petalburg again... but first let's see what Pokemon I get from Route 103! I found a Wingull! I caught it and the Data on my Pokeball began shuffling again... It is kind of sad that I loose the Pokemon I caught myself... but it is a thrill to find out what Pokemon I get from other trainers... the Data stopped shuffling around and I got a Whismur! Sadly I can't use it now... because my Team already consists of Treecko, Ralts and Wurmple. Back in Petalburg, Dad explained to me why the Shelmet I received got traded away immediatly. That is because I am not suited for a Pokemon of a level that high. It would never obey my orders. I need the gym badges as a sign of respect, so that high level Pokemon will obey my orders. This super-natural force, "Wondertrade", recognized it and gave a Pokemon more suitable. However... before I continue my journey I make a short rest here with my Dad... See you next time! Team: Treecko - Level 10 - Grass Overgrow Pound Leer Absorb Quick Attack Ralts - Level 4 - Psychic Synchronize Growl Confusion Wurmple - Level 2 - Bug Shield Dust Tackle Stringshot First Pokemon per Area and traded for: Route 101 - Wurmple -> Shelmet -> Wurmple Route 102 - Surskit -> Ralts Route 103 - Wingull -> Whismur Backup-Pokemon on PC: Whismur
Cepheus
Chapter 2 - Petalburg Woods and the Rustboro City Gym I continued my journey and went to Route 104, where I caught a Zigzagoon, which got wondertraded for a Level 10 Gulpin. I decided to do a little training with my new Pokemon to get to know them a bit better and to make them stronger for the upcoming battles. During this training my Wurmple evolved into a Cascoon. And I hoped for a Silcoon for a beutiful Beautifly *sigh* I guess you can't have everything... After I felt my new friends were strong enough I headed into Petalburg Woods. My first encounter was a wild Slakoth. I caught it, and "wondertrade" gave me a level 11 Marill in return. I fought a few Bug catchers and won every battle with ease. On my way through the woods I met a scientist of the Devon Corporation, and soon we got attacked by a suspicious looking guy, who was dressed like a pirate. A said something about "Team Aqua" and very important documents, that he wants from that scientist, for their big plan. I protected the scientist against his Poochyena. After that battle my Cascoon evolved into a Dustox and it learnt Gust! After his defeat, this Team Aqua guy fled to Rustboro City. The scientist thanked me for protecting him and handed me an EXP-Share, after that, he also left for Rustboro City, back to the Devon Corp. HQ. I continued my way thorugh Petalburg Woods and eventually leaving it behind me on the northern part of Route 104. I visited the Flowershop and a nice Lady has given me the Wailmer Pail, so I can plant and water my own berries! A boy handed me the TM49-Echoed Voice. I fought my first double battle on the bridge of the lake against twins... and I think Dustox ignored one of my commands... everything happened so fast, I'm not sure. I finally reached Rustboro City and mer Brendan again, who came out of the PokeMart. He said he want to challange Roxanne, the Gym-Leader here, but he wanted to train a bit more. Rustboro City is big compared to Littleroot Town so I took my time to explore a bit. A man gave me the HM01-Cut, another one the TM54-False Swipe, and the teacher of the Trainer-school handed me a Quick Claw. I went to the Gym and met Roxanne, the Gym-Leader, who is eager to accept my challange. This is a Rock-Type Gym. The gym looks like a big excavation site. There are fossils and stones on display everywhere, and the giant statues of fossil-pokemon give me the creeps... I began fighting Roxanne's pupils and here it was made clear that Ralts and Dustox tend to ignore my orders! I think I was a bit to eager in their training... at least Treecko will still follow my orders. After I have beaten all of Roxanne's pupils Treecko learned Mega Drain. How convenient, right before the battle with the Gym-Leader. Roxanne lead with a Geodude and I lead with Treecko. Treecko used Mega Drain and got Geodude to the brink of deafeat, only its Sturdy ability kept it from falling. Geodude countered with Rock Tomb and critically hit Treecko and lowered it's speed. Roxanne gave her Geodude a Potion, how generous of her, because Treeckos Mega Drain could grant him more energy this way. Next was her Nosepass. It was faster than my Treecko thanks to the earlier Rock Tomb. Nosepass also leads with Rock Tomb, getting Treecko dangerously low and lowering its speed even further, but nothing that a Mega Drain couldn't handle! Nosepass was halfway down and continued to use Rock Tomb, which Treecko just barely survived again and got his last Mega Drain off to defeat it! Game! Set! Match! - Sapphire! Alright! I beat Roxanne! She handed me the Stone Badge and her signature move Rock Tomb as TM39! She explained to me that now every Pokemon will obey my orders without question until they are level 20, and that I may use the HM01-Cut outside of battle, sweet! There were a few bushes right before the City and in Petalburg Woods! Suddenly, Treecko's Pokeball began to glow... and vanish! Like it was transferred to the PC-Storage System! Now I'm actually freaked out? Is this yet another constraint? Roxanne witnessed this and explained, that trainers under the influence of "Wondertrade" cannot use their strongest Pokemon of the team after a particular challanging battle, like gym-battles. Great! So now I can't use my Treecko? This is unfair! It was my first Pokemon and trusty partner... As I left the Gym, a guy run past me... he looked like the Team Aqua guy from earlier. A scientist was after him, shouting something about stolen wares... this is something the police can handle... I'm just a 10-year-old girl, not a crime-fighter! I went to the Pokecentre to get my other two Pokemon healed up and check the PC-Storage system... there it was, Treecko's pokeball within a special strage box labeled "Veterans" and I couldn't get it out. I said goodbye to Treecko and promised to look out for him from time to time. Since I could have 3 Pokemon on my team, I decided I use that Marill I got earlier... since I got the feeling Brendan is waiting to challange me... it will be a surprise for his Torchic. Team: Marill - Level 11 - Water/Fairy Huge Power Bubble Water Sport Defence Curl Rollout Dustox - Level 12 - Bug/Poison Shield Dust Tackle Confusion Poison Sting Gust Ralts - Level 12 - Psychic/Fairy Synchronize Disarming Voice Confusion Double Team Teleport Pokemon caught and traded: Route 104 - Zigzagoon -> Gulpin Petalburg Woods - Slakoth -> Marill Pokemon on PC: Whismur Gulpin Veterans: Treecko
Cepheus
Chapter 3 - A complicated trip to Dewford Town I wondered where I should head next, as I looked on the big map in the Pokecentre. The Rusturf-Tunnel isn't completed yet, so there is no way to get to Verdanturf Town... Route 115 to the north is impassable, because of those high ledges... leaves only Dewford Town to the south, but I have to cross the water-routes 105 and 106 for that, but I can't swim that far... if only I had a boat or my Marill knew how to Surf... ah boat hmmm... there was this old man with his Wingull, who owned a boat, maybe he could bring me over to Dewford Town! So I went back to through the Rustboro Woods but he wasn't at home, what a bummer... and my Pokemon couldn't learn the move "Cut" I got earlier... so I couldn't explore the other part of the Woods yet, I'll have to come back later. A young boy told me, that Mr.Briney, that's the name of the old man, went for a walk to the Rusturf-tunnel. Since Mr.Briney is my only hope to get to Deford Town I took another stroll through the woods and thorough Rustboro City. At the entrance to Route 116 I met the scientist from earlier again. He begged me for help because that Pirate-Guy from earlier stole important parts from the Devon Corp. and I should bring them back. (Seriously, this is a huge city, where is the Police??) Alright I beat that guy in the woods, so he should be no problem to deal with, if I meat him. I traveled through Route 116 and beat a few trainers and caught a Nincada, which got swapped for a Taillow by this "Wondertrade"... I'm slowly grow accustomed to this. Here were a few more of this bushes, but my Pokemon still can't use Cut. I arrived at the Tunnel and met Mr.Briney, who was upset! apperently that Pirate-Guy took his Wingull hostage and fled into the tunnel. Sweet! This guy is trapped there and I get to beat two birds with one stone! If I rescue this Wingull Mr.Briney will surely bring me over to Dewford City! I went into the tunnel and as I thought, this Guy from "Team Aqua" was no match for me again. I got the Devon Wares and Mr.Briney got his Wingull back and promised to help me. I returned to Rustboro City and gave the scientist the Devon Wares. He gave a Great Ball as a thank you and invited me inside to see the president of Devon Corp. Mr.Stone. Mr.Stone updated my PokeNav with a News-Channel, and asked me to deliver a letter to his son Steven, who is currently in Dewford City... well ok I guess, I'm headed there anymways. As I exited the building Brendan greeted me... but he didn't challange me to a battle... strange, I guess my feeling from earlier was wrong. I went thorough the Woods again to visit Mr.Briney and ask him to bring to Dewford City. Finally arrived in Dewford City I searched for Steven but couldn't find him, but some nice fisherman gave me a fishing rod and another boy gave me a Silk Scarf. I went to the Granite Cave on the city outskirts. A traveler handed me the TM70-Flash, which I can use to light up dark places like this cave... however there was a long line of hobby-archeologists so I couldn't go further. In the cave my first encounter with a wild Pokemon was a Zubat which I caught... and it got swapped for a Weedle. I might as well challange the gym, maybe I find Steven when I got my second badge. The gym looked... well... like a normal gym, where you lift dumbells and stuff, guess this is a fighting gym, which was quite convenient, because Dustox knew Psychic and flying moves, Ralts knew Fairy and Psychic moves, and is a fairy/psychic type, and Marill is also a fairy-type! "All your Type-advantages are belong to me!" I swept thorugh this gym like breeze... but they could work on their lighting... it must be frustrating to be changing or training in utter darkness unlees someone stays on the lightswitch. (seriously, this is dangerous! Who approved this? Lightswitches on the floor which need to be held down?) anyway... Brawly seemed like a cool guy but I think he is only muscles and almost no brain... my Dustox sweeped his team without getting hit once because he only used Bulk Up! All these muscles are pointless if you don't use them! Brawly lead with Machop, I lead with Dustox. Dustox poisoned Machop with it's Poison Powder and coninued with Confusion... Brawly used a Super Potion on Machop but this didn't help because he kept using Bulk Up... after Machop was defeated he sent out Makuhita, and it was the same as with Machop - Poison Powder - Bulk Up - Confusion - Bulk Up - Confusion -> defeated Makuhita! I have to say this match wasn't even fun, and he is supposed to be a Gym-Leader? Whatever I got the Knuckle Badge from him and his favorite move TM08-Bulk Up, and all Pokemon will obey my orders until level 30... I think I won't have any more Porblems with my Pokemon ignoring my orders. Brawly told me about the Granite Cave and that Steven is a friend of him, and I could find him deep inside... no wonder I couldn't find him earlier. As our chat came to an end, Dustox's Pokeball began to glow and vanished... *sigh* again? Yeah Dustox was my strongest Pokemon after I defeated Brawly so it got send to my Veterans PC-Box. I went to the Pokecentre to heal up Ralts and Marill and grab a substitute for Dustox, and another Pokemon, since I got my second Badge I can now carry 4 Pokemon with me! I grabed Whismur and Weedle from my PC to accompany me from here on. And now I'm headed to the Granite Cave... hopefully I will be able to get deeper this time, to meet Steven. Team: Ralts - Level 15 - Psychic/Fairy Synchronize Disarming Voice Confusion Flash Teleport Marill - Level 15 - Water/Fairy Huge Power Water Sport Bubble Beam Defence Curl Rollout Whismur - Level 7 - Normal Soundproof Pound Echoing Voice Weedle - Level 1 - Bug/Poison Shield Dust Poison Sting String Shot Pokemon caught and traded for: Route 116 - Nincada -> Taillow Granite Cave - Zubat -> Weedle Backup Pokemon on PC: Gulpin (lvl 10) Taillow (level 9) Veterans Treecko (Roxanne) Dustox (Brawly)
Cepheus
Chapter 4 - a long day in Staleport City I entered the Granite Cave to find that all those hobby-archeologists were gone... thank goodness, now I am able to meet Steven to give him the letter from his dad. As I entered the big room of the cave, I saw a guy in a black suite and metallic-blue hair, this must be Steven. He stood before a giant wall-painting showing an enormous fish-like Pokemon in the Ocean, causing gigantic waves. on its fins was the symbol of the greek-letter alpha. I approached Steven as he was thinking loudly about this wall-painting, that this Pokemon could have caused huge destruction, and that it looks a bit like a Mega-evolved Pokemon... Mega-evolution? What is a Mega-Evolution? However I handed him the letter and he gave me the TM51-Steel Wing. He also said that he could feel that I'm a a great trainer capable of becoming the Champ of the Hoenn-region. (Did he mean it seriously, or was he just flirting with me???) He left the Granite Cave and so did I, after I trained my Weedle and Whismur a bit against the Pokemon in the cave. Soon Weedle evolved into Kakuna and then to Beedrill apperently I teached Ralts the TM-Flash for no reason... that Hiker who gave it to me was lying! The cave wasn't dark at all... or did he mean another part of the cave which I couldn't reach? I returned to Mr.Briney and he told me that he got a Package and a letter from Mr.Stone. In the letter he asked me to deliver the package, which I saved from that Team-Aqua guy, to Slateport City to Captain Stern. Well since I'm on my way to the next gym in Mauville City, Slateport City is the next logical stop and Mr.Briney would even take there. We hopped onto his boat and traveled to Slateport City... or rather it's wonderful beach! I battled a few trainers on the beach and the beach-house. In the beacah-house were a few tough trainers who almost defeated my Pokemon, but I could beat them all and receive 6 Soda Pop as a prize from the shop owner and I bought 4 more to round up to 10. Also my Marill evolved into Azumarill! Two cute kids, who were building a sand castle gave me some Soft Sand in a pouch... apperently it increases the effect of ground-type attacks. Since the trainers in the beach house gave a bit of trouble I decided to return to the Granite Cave to train my Pokemon a bit more. After my training was complete, I taught Beedrill HM01-Cut, and returned to Rustboro Woods and Route 116 to cut down those pesky thorny bushes to explore what lies behind them. In the Rustboro Woods I found a boy who gave a Miracle Seed, which is supposed to increase grass-type attacks, and a mossy stone... I read that an Eevee would evolve into a Leafeon, if it grows stronger near one of those. I have to remember the location. On Route 116 I found a few trainers, who were no match for my team now, and a few berries. I returned to Mr.Briney and he gave another ride to Staleport City. Before I deliver the package I did a bit of sightseeing. On the Marketplace I found an odd shimmering stone... my Pokedex said it was an Alakazite, which could help Alakazam to do a Mega-evolution. There it is again... "Mega-Evolution"... I'll keep it, maybe I'll get my hands on an Alakazam and I can test it out. I bought a Luck Incense for ~9600P$ from a Lady. She told me that it would double my winning-prizes! I could always use more money, even if it means I have to spend some... if it is true I will have this money back in no time! I visited the Contest-Hall, unfortunately they wouldn't let me participate because I don't have a Contest-Card, and there weren't any contests held at the moment which I could watch... I spoke to a Contestant and he gave me the TM41-Torment. I wanted to visit the Ocean-Museum... but there was a huge line... and they all had those pirate-outfits like that Team-Aqua Guy... soooo is this the whole Team Aqua... and if so WHY IS THERE STILL NO POLICE??? I decided to stay clear of the museum for now, and deliver the package. I headed to the wharf, where captain Stern should be but I was greeted by his assistant, who told me that Capt.Stern was in fact at the museum, and that I should bring him the package of important ship-parts. Soooo... if this package contains parts for a ship, why can't I just give it to you, here at the wharf, where that ship is actually build? Why do I have to go see your boss, give him the package so that he can return with them here??? And this museum is possibly overrun by this Pirate-Gang by now. Ohhhhh well... whatever... you can't argue with some people about logic. I went to the museum and paid 50P$ entrance fee... and like I thought, these Pirate-guys were everywhere! They even talked about the stealing stuff from the museum! (Hello??? Security??? oh yeah... no police I almost forgot...) I went upstairs and meet Capt.Stern and just as I wanted to hand him the package these guys come up and want to steal it from us, but their Pokemon didn't stand a chance against my team! As i beat the two guys who challanged me, their Boss approached us! He was pretty muscular, must have been an old-school sailor, he even wears a giant golden anchor on a chain around his neck... and I think I thought a Stone embeded in the anchors hilt, which looks similar to that Alakazite I found earlier... Archie, that is his name, told me about his or rather Team Aquas plans to restore the oceans to it's former beauty and increase the sea as a habitat for Pokemon and humans! A noble goal, I must admit... but why go with such illegal actions? And how will he "increase the sea"? And how is the sea a habitat for humans, when we are clearly land-creatures?? (again... logic... I begin to think that I'm the only logical-thinking person in all of Hoenn...) He let us go and retreated with his Evil-organization. I finally handed over tha package and Capt.Stern left for the wharf. I remained in the museum to look at the exhibition for bit and while I was at it, I ran into that Team-Aqua guy I beat in Rustboro Woods and Rusturf-Tunnel. He gave me the TM46-Thief and ran away. I visited the Pokecentre to get my Pokemon patched up. After that I wanted to leave Staleport City to the north to make my way to Mauville City, but something caught my attention: before the Contest Hall was a big ruckus! I went over there to see what it is all about, and there was the Contest-Star Lisia and her Altaria Xeblu. She gave an Interview of some sort and looked out for a new possible Contest-Star and then she approached me! (ME! From all the people around her she chose ME!!!) She handed me a Contest Card and Pokeblock-Set, and encouraged me to try participate in a Contest. And that's what I wanted to right away! I went into the Contest-Hall and got enrolled for the next Cuteness Contest and I wanted to participate with my Azumarill. Lisia showed me the preparing-room and gifted me a special dress, for I'm her 100th Contest-Newcomer. It is a dress that looks similar to hers but in pink, and I'm soooo cute in it. I wish I could always wear it, but then it would get dirty during my travels... Our rivals were a Zigzagoon, a Whismur, and a Wingull... but only the Wingull was a truly challanger who ultimately won the Contest because it had the luck to show it's moves last to earn all of the build up tension of the viewers applause... that was so unfair! I call a deceit! It was arranged, that it could show it's moves last! After the show a women approached me and gifted me a special cosplay-loving Pikachu... It wore the same dress as I had on the stage. The women tailored it for the pikachu right after she saw me on the stage and thought we would make grate partners. And this "Wondertrade" didn't send it away... so it must be very special and I should keep it. Finally I was able to leave Staleport City and head for Mauville City. On Route 110 I encountered a Plusle which I caught and I got a Sableye for it... but apperantly it was to strong for because it got swapped immediatly for a cute Skitty. I battled a few wild-pokemons here and my Whismur evolved into Loudred and Ralts evolved into Kirlia. I came across a strange house, I went inside and found a man hiding under a table. He told me he is a riddle-master and challanges me to solve his riddles. Behind the scroll on the wall was a giant hole that lead into a whole new room... this room was filled with trees! It was like a forrest! I went around to find a door behind another scroll... but this door was locked with a password. I had to find the password in that forest. Luckily, my Beedrill knew Cut, so I cut my through, battled a few trainers who were also doing this challagnge, and found a few Lava-Cookies! After a while I found the password and unlocked the door an completed the challange! The man told me he would create more challanges for me in time and handed me TM12-Taunt, and I found an expert-belt lying around. I continued my journey on Route 110 and met Brendan again, but this time he challanged me to a battle! He lead with a Wailmer and I countered with Kirlia, who knew Magic-Leaf - Two hit and Wailmer was done for! He then send out Shroomish and I used my Beedrill, which made quick work with Twineedle. As his last Pokemon he brought out Combusken... his little Torchic evolved! I sent out Azumarill. One hit with it's Aqua Tail and Combusken hit the floor! That was a quick and easy win! After the battle Brendan gifted me a Dowsing Machine, which could find hidden items on the ground... and OH MY GOD! They look like floppy, glowing bunny-ears! Soooo adorable!!! All my Pokeballs began to glow! wait - what? This was not such a challanging battle, why put away my strongest Pokemon - and why are all glowing?? The glowing stopped... what happened? All my Pokemon where the same Level hmmm... either this "Wondertrade" couldn't decide which was my strongest Pokemon... or it decided that this really wasn't that of challange... did I just beat the system? But I can't possible keep all my Pokemon the same level when this stuff happens... damn... I continued my way to Mauville City and fought a few trainers along the way and picked up a few items with those adorable Item-finding-bunny-ears! As I reached Mauville City I saw Wally with his Dad. Wally wanted to go straight to the gym, to see how strong he became. I looked around this "City" which looks more like a giant Mall! To bad the gaming-hall has been closed... but I got three cute dolls from the owner, because he had them left over. These were dolls of Treecko, Torchic and Mudkip. As I traveled thorugh Mauville I also encountered an musician who handed me a Metronome and a strange man who all of a sudden pressed a gold-nugget into my hands and leave... strange indeed... As I came across the Gym, I met Wally and his dad again. Wally challanged me to a battle, because his dad didn't want him to challange the gym just yet. I beat his Ralts with ease... I felt a bit bad for him. His dad gave me HM06-Rock Smash. I headed to the Pokecentre to take a break after this long day... Cepheus
Chapter 5 - A Shocking battle, a visit to Verdanturf Town and my way to Fallarbor Town After my break at the Pokecentre, I explored the town a bit more and talked to tourist. He kindly handed me big decoration Globe. I paid a visit to the Bikestore and it's owner gifted me a Bike of my choice! He also said I could swap between the two bikes anytime, I just need to come back, how generous! I choce the Mach-Bike for now. Before I challange the Gym I wanted to restock my supplies, and stock up on Paralyze-Heals, because this gym would be an electric-type gym. A Girl in the PokeMart asked me if I like Rollercoasters, and gave me the TM58-Freefall. I challanged the Gym and could solve the puzzle really quick and defeat the Gym-Leaders pupils with ease. Then I met the Gym-Leader, an old, half-bald, chubby man. His name is Wattson and he is a very funny man who is always laughing. Apperently he was in charge of re-designing Mauville City. He accepted my challenge and our battle began. Despite my team being way higher level than his Pokemon, he gave me some trouble. Wattson led with Magnemite, I led with Kirlia... and immediatly swapped it out for Beedrill, because I feared a Steel-Type attack, however Magnemite used Thunderwave to paralyze Beedrill. I ordered Beedrill to use it's new move, which it learned while battling his pupils, Toxic Spikes. Magnemite was faster with a Supersonic, which confused Beedrill, but it was able to lay down the spikes normally. Next Magnemite used Volt Switch, and luckily I ordered Beedrill to use Pursuit. As Magnemite withdrew into it's Pokeball Pursuit hit it it for moderate damage. To replace Magnemite, Wattson send out Voltorb, which got poisoned due to the Toxic Spikes. Beedrill hurt itself in it's confusion and now began the most annoying part... Volt Switching... over and over again... His third Pokemon, which he eventually sent out was Magneton! He always used Volt switch and occasionally Super Sonic when Beedrill snapped out of it's confusion. I ordered Beedrill to Pursuit everything, which KOed Voltorb and eventually Magnemite but Beedrill has taken a fair amount damage, but I was blind in my pursuit. As Beedrill had around 1/3 of it's strength left, it got confused again and got hit by Magnetons Magnet Bomb, and then hitting itself causing it faint... I was devestated... but as I send out Loudred to finish the job, I remebered, that I found a revive earlier. I hoped it wasn't to late and used it on my Beedrill... and it came back... slowly... I was so glad... I couldn't afford to lose Beedrill and my Azumarill which unluckily surpassed my other Pokemon in the level and would most likely be taken away after I beat Wattson. A few Bites from Loudred and Magneton, and therefore Wattson was beaten. He handed me the Dynamo Badge, which allowed me use HM06-Rock Smash out of battle to... well smash rocks. Also I'm now able to control Pokemon up to level 40. He also handed me his signature move TM72-Volt Switch. As I left his Gym, Azumarill's Pokeball began to glow... yeah as I suspected, Azumarill was transfered to my Veterans-Box... I could have made great use of it at the next Gym. I returned to the Pokecentre to get my team healed up and chose Taillow as Azumarill's substitute. I also apologized to Beedrill, for letting it get KOed, because of my stubborness. Now that my business was done here I decided to not head straight for the next Gym, but to pay Verdanturf Town a visit. I entered Route 117 and battled the trainers to train my Taillow, which evolved into a Swellow pretty soon. I even found another one of those weird stones... my Pokedex said it was a Mawilite. In Verdanturf Town I visited the Contest Hall and a Girl gave me the TM45-Attract. I remembered that there was a guy digging through the Tunnel from Rustboro City's side, so I decided to see if he managed to break thorugh yet. I encountered a Whismur in the tunnel which I caught... during my first visit I didn't encounter any Pokemon here. For that Whismur I received a Psyduck on Level 29. Now this is what I call luck. I got a new Water-Type which I might use against the next Gym. I found Wally's sister and the guy who was digging through the tunnel, but there were a few hard rocks, which he couldn't break. I taught Loudred the HM06-Rock Smash and did quick work with them. As a sign of gratitude he handed me another one of those stones, this time it was an Aggronite. I found a small part of Route 116 where a guy was looking for his glasses... I found some Black Glasses... but these weren't the glasses he was looking for... so I kept them. I returned to route 117 and encountered an Illumise, which I was able to catch. I received a Furret on level 39 ... wow... so close to my restriction. Since I now had a Bike I decided to check out the Bicycle-route. As I entered the north entrance I found yet another one of those stones... this time a Manectite. As I came down the Bicycle-Path I paid the Riddle-Master a visit... this time he was behind the flower on the right side of his house. He created a new puzzle. His Puzzle-room was full of rocks... luckily my Loudred knew Rock Smash, so it didn't take long to solve this puzzle and defeat the trainers. After i completed his challange he handed me a Hard Stone. Now that I have done everything I could with my new capabilities I decided to move onwards! To Lavaridge Town, where the next Badge awaits me! As I wanted to exit Mauville City to the north I overheard some guys from Team Aqua, who said that they'll meet up at Mt.Chimney... what are they up to now? I traveled at Route 111 and came across the house of the Winstrate family who I defeated in four quick consecutive battles and got a Macho brace in return. I continued onwards and on Route 112 I encountered Brendan again, who healed up my Pokemon and gave me the HM04-Strength... how nice of him, he then left for Fallarbor Town, to help his dad and Professor Cosmos with some research. I saw some Pokemon sticking out from the tall grass and sneaked up to it. It was a Machop, and a strong one, it even knew Thunder Punch! I managed to catch it and it got swapped out for... ... a Magikarp... really... a lousy Magikarp for a Machop that knows Thunder Punch?? Ah well... Magikarp do evolve into Gyarados... As I approached the Cable car, which drives up to the top of Mt.Chimney near Lavaridge Town, I saw a few guys of Team Aqua blocking the entrance... apparently waiting for the rest of their gang to finnish some job in Fallabor Town, and they wouldn't let anyone through... Fallarbor Town... that's were Brendan was headed... and Professor Birch is there too. I got the feeling that there will be no police this time around either... I guess I'm now the official One-Girl-Crime-Fighting Team! Like the Hoenn-Rangers from that TV-Show (damn I love that show *tihihi*)! Go Hoenn-Ranger ... ... hmmmm... no... ... nope... ah! GO HOENN-RANGER ALPHA-SAPPHIRE! Go and stop Team Aqua yet again from hurting inoccent people! Ok... I got a new goal... temporarily... but I need to find a way to Fallarbor Town first... I can't take Route 111, the Sandstorm in there is to strong. I looked around and found a tunnel-way, the fiery path. I caught a Grimer and got a Charmander through the "Wondertrade"! Holy-Arceus! A Charmander? And apperently it was still a Baby... why would you trade away a newborn baby-Charmander? that is cruel! I mean it's weak and helpless... It knows FLAME BURST??? Ok... forget what I said about it being helpless... I continued through the tunnel and exited on a northern portion of Route 112, as I reached the northern part of Route 111, which lies across the desert area, I meet a strange guy, who seemed to switch between different languages everytime... His name is Aarune, and he told me everything about Super-Secret bases and handed me the TM94-Secret Power and a few decoration items for my secret-base... but I have no time for that now. As I continued my Kirlia eventually evolved into Gardevoir. I entered Route 113, and I'm glad I don't wear my Contest-Dress everyday... this place is dirty with all the vulcanic-ash, that rains down from Mt.Chimney. I got attacked by a Skarmory, which I caught of course and it got traded for a Gible, which apparently was also a new-born... but it knows Outrage! Damn that's powerful. I found TM32-Double Team on my find and came across the hut of the glass-blower, who handed me a pouch for gathering that vulcanic-ash around Route 113, which he uses for his glass-works. I finally reached Fallarbor Town, and got my Team healed up at the Pokecentre and I met Lanett, who designed and programmed the Pokemon-PC-Storage System. After a quick chat she returned to her house on Route 114. I got my Pokemon ready... come Team Aqua! Try to hurt my friends! I will stop you, whatever it is you are planning! Cepheus
Chapter 6 - Hot dance on top of Mt.Chimney! As left the Pokecentre Brendan called out for me. We went to the house of Professor Cosmo, where he told me that the Professor got kidnapped by Team Aqua... and that they went to the Meteor Falls, past Route 114. He went ahead to keep track of Team Aqua, so we could team up later. I made my way to Route 114 and found the house of a Fossilmaniac... his little brother gave the TM28-Dig. Near the house was an old man with a Poochyena, he gave me the TM05-Roar. I went on and found the house of Lanette... it was chaos in there, but she gave a Lotad-Doll if I don't tell anybody... soooo shhhhhhh! I encountered a Swablu and caught it, and received a Kecleon through "Wondertrade" in return. Once I arrived at the Meteor Falls I saw Brendan engaging Team Aqua who threatened Professor Cosmo. There were two Members of Team Aqua, one of them seemed to be a higher ranking member. Her name was Shelly. She challanged me and Brendan to a double battle which we easily decided to our favor... well I did... my Beedrill made short work of their Dark-types with it's Pin Missile. Suddenly some otehr strange guys appeared... all dressed in red. Shelly called them "Team Magma". Apparently these Magma guys are enemies with Team Aqua. Shelly's subordniate grabbed the Meteorite from the Professor and and they said something about combining the Meteorites energy with the energies from Mt.Chimney, whatever this means, and they fled. Maxie, the Leader of thos Magma guys approached me and told me that he doesn't care if we are trying to stop Team Aqua, but that it is their mission to do so, and if we tried to stop them he will show no mercy, and left. Brendan and I brought the Professor back home and he gave us the TM 23-Catapult, then I accompanied Brendan back to Mauville City, where he wanted to challange Wattson. I harvested some berries I planted earlier on the nearby Routes and restocked on refreshing drinks and headed to Mt.Chimney, to help stop Team Aqua, because that is my duty as Hoenn-Ranger! (*thihihi* I'm beginning to like this) **Side-Note: Where was Professor Birch?? Brendan said he would be there earlier... weird... maybe I misheard him...** The Cable Car wasn't blocked anymore and I went up... Wooooooow... what a view... As soon as I stepped out of the cable car, I saw Team Aqua and Team Magma fighting all over the place! Damn... this place is pretty hot, well it is the top of a vulcano... good thing I'm dressed pretty thin, or I would melt up here. I came across Maxie, the Leader of Team Magma, again. He was surrounded by 3 members of Team Aqua... I guess it's now all up to me now to stop Team Aquas plans! I battled with Shelly again, who was guarding her Boss Archie who was operating some kind of machine on a big Plattform, right above the vulcans main crater... I was a bit scared of the plattform... it didn't even had rails! What if me or one of my Pokemon would fall down there? - BUT I had to stop him... whatever he was doing... As I approached him, he mumbled something about "unplugging the ancient Pokemon", and as he noticed me he tried to explain his plans to me and told me that "the meteorite could be used as a Mega-Stone or a Key-Stone" and then stopped because "there is no need to go into more detail". I challenged him to a battle. My trusty Beedrill sweeped through his team, like it did with Shelly's! He then wanted to use a Mega-Evolution! - Wow really? you can just use this? I want to know what it is! But before he could do anything, he got a call from another member and mumbled something about Mt. Pyre and a special "Gem". This Phone-Call seemed to change his mind about the thing he was doing here, because he handed me the Meteorite and then left with the rest of Team Aqua... I guess I will meet them again on Mt. Pyre. Maxie approached me and was surprised I was able to beat Archie, and was then shocked when I told him about that Phone call... he also mentioned the special gem and that they would make their way to Mt.Pyre aswell... Hoenn-Ranger Alpha-Sapphire! Mission Successful! - See you next mission! (*tihihihi*) After everyone had left, Beedrills Pokemon began to glow... Now you are taking away my Beedrill? C'mon! He wasn't that of a challange... I found a small path near the Plattform that leads a bit closer to the Crater and found the TM59-Incinerate just lying there. Since Lavaridge Town was very close, I decided to go there first to get my next Badge before returning the Meteorite to Professor Cosmo. I entered the Jagged Pass and encountered a Spoink, for which I received an Eevee! Yay! Eevee!!! I love Eevee!!! It's so cute, cuddly and fluffy!!! - I could go and evolve it into Leafeon... but I guess I'll wait a bit longer before I decide. As I walked down the jagged pass, I heard from a trainer that you can jump across those stones with a Acro-Bike... hmmm I guess I'll have to come back later. I reached Lavaridge Town and a nice old lady handed me a Pokemon egg she tried to hatch using the heated sand... I entered the Pokemon Centre and took Psyduck as Beedrills substitute, for the comfort, since Lavaridge Towns gym is a fire-type gym. I entered the gym and what I saw was some kind of hot springs resort. Hot stones and water everywhere! It felt soooooo good... to bad I didn't have time to stay and relax for a bit. As I encountered Flannery she yelled at me... then went completely silent and yelled again... WHAT IS WRONG WITH HER??? Apparently she has just became the gym-leader and inherited the postion from her grandfather, so she is a bit insecure... however, she accepted my challange. She sent out Slugma and I send out Psyduck. Psyduck managed to faint Slugma with one Aqua-Tail - then came Camaub... the same with Slugma... one Aqua-Tail was enough. For her last Pokemon Flannery use Torkoal. Torkoal survived an Aqua-Tail and countered with Overheat! Damn that move is powerful! Because it is a Fire-type attack it wasn't very effective agains Psyduck but it did surprisningly huge damage. Flannery healed it up with a Superpotion, but that didn't stop my Psyduck to defeat it with it's next attack. Now the Heat Badge is mine. Now all Pokemon up to level 50 follow my orders, I may use HM04-Strength out of combat AND I may now carry 5 Pokemon in my team for this is my 4th Badge! She also handed me TM50-Overheat! Unfortunately this time it was Swellow who was taken from me... So now I had to fill in 2 extra slots in my team... As I exited the Gym, Brendan came up to me. He was worried about me if I made it unharmed because of those Team Aqua guys, how cute and caring of him... He was surprised when I told him that I beat and stopped them on top of Mt.Chimney. He handed me a pair of Go-Goggles, which I can use to enter Route 111 desert, because these glasses are sandstorm-proof! Brendan told me that he wanted to go to Petalburg City next, and told me that the Petalburg-Gym is most commonly the fifth gym to challange... sooo I have to go battle my dad at long last... Brendan, began to stutter as he asked me if I want to come along, I agreed although I knew of a few places I would want to re-visit. He kept stuttering with a big smile on his face... WAIT!!!! HOLD ON A SECOND!!! He was worried about me, he began to stutter when asked me if I want to come along... he was very happy when I agreed???? Oh-my-god... d-d-does he like me? I mean does he like me really much??? - I don't know what to do... oh god, oh god, oh god... Cepheus
Chapter 7 - Training and the long awaited battle against Dad I had two new members in my Team - Gible and Gulpin, and I had to train both so that they would be around equal to the rest of my team. So a little training-journey began! I went to the Granite Cave with my Mach-Bike and could drive up a slope I couldn't climb earlier... it was pretty dark in there but I have good eyes, so there was no need for "Flash". I battled a few trainers and found a few treasures inside, the most notable are TM65-Dark Claw, an Everstone and another of those... I guess they are Mega-Stones, if my suspicion is correct, it was a Steelixite. I battled a few trainers who wanted a revanche. I beat them and my Psyduck eventually evolved into a Golduck. I also took on the next challange of the Riddle-Master... it was dark like in the granite cave, but again, I could see well enough to not need Flash. I completed his challange and gave me TM92-Trick Room. I went to Route 111 and into the desert to explore. I found two Fossils in the quicksand... unfortunately I could only grab one before the other one sunk into ground. I grabbed the Root-Fossil. I even caught a Sanshrew, which got "wondertraded" for a Tentacruel at Level 30. While I fought the trainers in the desert my Gulpin evolved into a Swalot, and Gible evolved into a Gabite. During my exploration I found TM-37-Sandstorm and a pair of Safety-Goggles. When I was done in the desert I returned to Route 113 and gathered around 1 kilogramm of vulcanic-ash, which did take a rather long time... well I guess ash doesn't weigh that much. The Glass-Blower made me a Blue Flute out of it. With it I can wake up sleeping Pokemon! I went on to the Meteor Falls and caught, yet again, a Zubat. I received a Solosis for it... and it was named "Ebola" from it's former trainer... WHAT KIND OF CRUEL JOKE IS THIS SUPPOED TO BE?? WHY would you nickname your cute little Pokemon after a deadly disease?? As I went on through the Meteor Falls I found a Moonstone... I could evolve my Skitty with it... hmmm... I exited the Meteor Falls towards Route 115 and battled a few trainers here. I arrived at Rustboro City and remembered that there was a scientist at Devon Corp. who could revive Pokemon from fossils. So I gave him my Root-fossil and moments later I received a Lileep... which strangely didn't got swapped away... maybe it is a rare occassion, because it is revived from a fossil... or maybe "Wondertrade" somehow lost connection to me for a moment... I accepted it and went on, back to Petalburg City where I would finally battle my Dad. I entered his Gym and battled through his new students, with Gabite and Swalot alone... And Dad... honestly I was prepared for more than what you showed me... I mean c'mon it was hardly a challange... my Swalot beat all three of your Pokemon with ease! Let me go a bit into detail: You lead of with Slaking, knowingly that is lazy and doesn't listen to every other command of yours... granted it is very strong to make up for it but WHY DIDN'T YOU UTILIZE IT'S SHEER STRENGTH?? I thought you want to battle me with all you got! However - You let it use Yawn, to put Swalot to sleep... I orderd Swalot to use Toxin, which HEAVILY Poisoned your Slaking... and it would slowly succumb to that poison, because it will just do nothing for you! My next move was to break your defence! Swalot used Acid Spray and lowerd your Special Defence heavily! Swalot fell asleep, because of yawn... but it didn't matter, I used played my blue flute to wake it up, and you orderd Slaking to Yawn AGAIN??? Another Acid Spray took down Slaking to the point where the stronger growing toxin would defeat it. You send out your second Slaking and it was like the same battle again... At least you showed a bit of competence with your Vigoroth. The first turn you ordered him to use Retaliate, a very strong attack if a Teammember got KOed before... but it was just enought to take down Slakoth to about 1/2 of it's strength. Instead of Toxin I used Body Slam this time to paralyze your Vigoroth... and I continued with Acid Spray... I am still amazed how strong it is after it's first use... I beat my dad, got the Balance-Badge, and can now controll Pokemon up to Level 60. I can use HM03-Surf (if I had it...) and I got the TM67-Retaliate. Sadly... Gardevoir got transfered to my other Veterans... well I must admit, from my current team it was there for the longest time... You got me out of the most dangerous situations... I don't know which Pokemon to use as a substitute yet... maybe I'll try my luck with the next Pokemon I catch... Dad acompanied me outside where we met Wally and his Dad. Wally wasn't here to challange my Dad, he just wanted to grab a few things from his home for his upcoming journey. Wallys Dad handed me HM03-Surf! (How convenient that I just got the Badge to use it!) Me and Wally traveled to Mauville City together from where we will continue our journey on Route 118 and onwards. But now I need a rest... marching all the way to Mauville City is exhausting... Cepheus
Chapter 8 - Mega-Evolution and trouble at the Weather Institute! I was sooooo tired... felt like I have slept throught a whole day! Anyways, I continued my journey. I haven't filled in Gardevoirs place yet... I exited Mauville City to the east to Route 118, where I taught Golduck the HM03-Surf to cross the river. On the other side I met Steven again, I talked a bit and he wanted to tell me about the Mega-Evolution (finally someone can eyplain it to me!), but we got interrupted by a worried Pokemon-cry! A Latios descended before us! A LATIOS! WOW! Steven seemed to understood what it wanted to tell us - It was in need of our help. We jumped on it's back it flew directly to a small Island to the south. As we took foot on the Island Steven seemed a uncomfortable. We went on to a small grove where a Latias seemed to guard something. Suddenly another Team-Aqua Admin appeared! Matt was his name. He told us that Team Aqua needs the power of the Mega-Evolution for their plans and therefore need Latias! HELL NO! As if Hoenn-Ranger Alpha-Sapphire would let them have the power of this cute Latias and the Mega-Evolution! Matt's subordianate mentioned that she saw Steven before... and that he is somewhat famous like a Contest-Star... weird... They challanged us to a double battle, but Steven and I made quick work with them. Steven used a Metang. After their defeat they left... and Latias was very happy and Steven saw that Latias seemed to have took a liking in me... that I was worthy Trainer for it. I didn't know what to say... I'm flattered to be chosen by a legendary Pokemon. Latias went easily into one of my Pokeballs, proving Stevens theory right. Before we left Steven explained the Mage-Evolution to me and that Latios and Latias are somewhat guardians of it... Latias even held one of those Mega-Stones. Steven gifted me a Bracelet with another gem inside it (JEWELLRY! This guy knows how to treat a girl! *tihihihi*). He said it is a Mega-Bracelet with a special Key-Stone in it. A Trainer needs such a Key-Stone and it's Pokemon needs it's specific Mega-Stone... and trainer and Pokemon need a strong bond to eachother and both stones will react to eachother, allowing the Pokemon to perform a Mega-Evolution. Latios returned us to Route 118, where Steven and I seperated. Latias was transferred to my PC... yeah, I figured it would be to easy with a Legendary-Pokemon. But I continued my journey and I caught an Electrike, which I received a Sandshrew for. I decided to keep it in Gardevoirs place for now. Route 119 was long and full of trainers, and VERY TALL grass. I ancountered a Tropius and caught it... which got replaced by a Buizel. Except for a few relatively easy trainer battles, with which I trained up my Sandshrew (which evolved into Sandslash on the way), nothing important happend until I was nearly in Fortree City. Near the end of Route 119 is a weather institute... and it seemed that Team Aqua had occupied it. Time for Hoenn-Ranger Alpha-Sapphire to save the day again! I battled my way thorugh the members of Team Aqua until I reached their Leader for this mission... it was Shelly... again. She wanted to investigate some weather data from around thousand years ago... but why? I battled her and won with flying colours... again. She told me that, now that she saw the weather data, slowly doubted Archie's plans for "waking up an ancient Pokemon to increase the sea". Team Aqua left afterwards. The scientists thanked me and explained these weather data to me. Apparently, there are two ancient Pokemon who fought thousands of years ago. One with the power of the sea - Kyogre (which I assume Archie wants to awaken... according to my information) and one with the power of the land - Groudon! The yalso explained that they can gather power form the nature around them, to cause HUGE weather anomalies like torrential donwpours! This happens by some kind of "Protomoprhosis" ... which is a bit like a Mega-Evolution... but can be done by the Pokemon itself without a trainer... wow... The director of the weather institute gifted me one of their Castforms as a thank you. Me and my Pokemon took a quick rest, before continuing our journey. Moments later, near the gates of Fortree City, Brendan approached me and challanged me to a battle. His team didn't changed since last time - He led with Wailmer, followed up with Shroomish and ended with Combusken. I won again. Brendan handed me HM02-Fly, with which I can easily revisit Cities I've already been to, but first I need the Badge from the Fortree City gym. Also my Loudred got transferred to the PC after this battle... and it was so close to evolving into Exploud... *sigh* I entered Fortree City, I stocked up on supplies and visited the Secret-Base-Guild, where I met Aarune again. He told me about Secret-Base-Teams and handed me a Rulesign, which I can use in my Secretbase to change the battle-rules once I have a team. I saw Steven again as he left Fortree City to Route 120... mumbling something about a Pokemon there. I shrugged it of for now, for I wanted to see more of Fortree City... I met to old Ladies. On handed me the TM10-Hidden Power, and the other was able to tell what type Hidden Power would take, if one of my Pokemon would use it... handy! As I made my way to the gym... somewthing blocked my path... I couldn't see what it was... something just pushed me back everytime I tried to go down that path... strange. I decided to go to Route 120, to look for Steven. But before I could enter Route 120, finally my Pokemon-Egg hatched, which I received in Lavaridge Town! It was a Waynaut! ... but it got traded away as soon as it entered it's Pokeball... So now you take away a baby from it's 'Mother'??? HOW CRUEL ARE YOU?!?!? In return I received a Pachirisu... That might come in handy since Fortree City's gym is a Flying-typ gym. Pachirisu took Loudreds place in the team. I entered Route 120 and trained a bit with Pachirisu and encountered a Lineoone which I caught. I received a Burmy in return. Eventually I came across Steven who was standing on a bridge. He asked me to use a special Devon Corp. device... Suddenly a Kecleon appeared out of thin air! Wow... this Devon Scope makes invisble things visible... maybe it was a Kecleon that pushed me in front of the gym. Steven allowed me to keep this Devon Scope and since I was capable of performing the Mega-Evolution now, he also handed me a Sceptilite for my Sceptile... if it wasn't still a Treecko trapped inside the PC. I returned to the Fortree City gym, and indeed it was Kecleon that blocked my path, but once it wasn't invisible anymore, thanks to the Devon Scope, it ran away. I found a small path behind the Gym, and found the TM86-Grass Knot just lying there. I entered the Gym and prepared for the upcoming battle... Cepheus
Chapter 9 - A new Badge, a training session and arival at Lilycove City I challanged Winona, the Gym-Leader of Fortree City. Her Gym looked like a giant tree-house with giant open windows, thorugh which the wind was blowing. She lead with Swellow but luckily I got Pachirisu not so long ago, and made quick work of it. Then she used her ace, Altaria, right away, but Pachirisu hit it critical with it's Ice-type Hidden Power. Skarmory was next and I send out Sandslash to take it out with Rock Tomb. Pelipper was her last on and I used Pachirisu again. One hit with Spark and the victory belonged to me. I received the Feather Badge from Winona, which allows me to control Pokemon up to Level 70, have 6 Pokemon on my team and use the HM02-Fly out of combat. Also I received the TM19-Roost from her. As I left the Gym, two of my Pokeballs began to glow... it was Golduck and Swalot and both got send to the Veterans-Box... ... Is this the revenge for me beating the system after I beat Brendan near Mauville City?? Great... now I have to restock my team with 3 Pokemon. I went to the PokemonCentre and healed up my team and chose - Solosis, Tentacruel and Burmy to fill up my Team. And since all three were far behind (well Tentacruel not so much) in training I decided to use this day to train my new partners and re-visit a few locations. First I returned to Mauville City to exchange my Mach-Bike for an Acro-Bike. I also went shopping and bought all the TMs the PokeMart had in stock: TM09 - Venoshock TM40 - Aerial Ace TM42 - Facade TM57 - Low Kick TM78 - Bulldoze TM82 - Dragon Tail TM98 - Power-Up Punch I then went to the Fiery Path where a giant boulder was blocking off a part of the cave before. I met Aarune there and he handed me the TM96 - Nature Power. As I explored this part of the cave I found a Firestone and the TM06 - Toxic. I went up to Mt.Chimney to fully explore the Jagged Path, now that I had an Acro-Bike with me. I found the TM43 - Flame Charge and TM69 - Rock Polish. A few Trainers rechallenged me I put these to a good use for the training, and soon Solosis evolved into Duosion, and Burmy evolved into Wormadame. I returned to the Riddle-Master and his challange house. This time it was full of giant boulders which I had to push around. For solving his challange I received a Smoke-Ball. When I felt that my three new team-members were strong enough I returned to Fortree City and ventured forth to Route 120. There I entered a Cave in the middle of a lake. In there I caught a Golbat, which got traded for a Minun, and I found the TM11 - Sunny Day. On Route 120 I even found a Ball Lightning, which I will give my Cosplay-Pikachu to hold. I went on to Route 121 where I found a few Members of Team Aqua, who were on their way to Mt.Pyre... hmmmm looks like I have to intervene there soon... Is this the Safari-Zone? I always wanted to visit it! Entry is FREE???? Sweet!!! I caught a Heracross there for which I received... a second Eevee!!! Wohooo!! In the Safari-Zone I found an Absolite, which I could only reach with my Acro-Bike, and the TM85 - Dream Eater. I returned later with my Mach-Bike to pick up TM22 - Solar Beam. But there where two TMs I couldn't reach... I would need both bikes to reach them... bummer... As I continued on Route 121 I encountered a Shuppet, for which I received an Electrike! I reached Lilycove City where I met Brendan again, who came just out of the Shopping Centre. He ran a few errands for Professor Birch... and he "certainly didn't buy any Pokemon dolls." - *tihihihi* yeah as if... you are not a good liar Brendan. However he challenged me to another Battle, which I decided for myself in a landslide... again. He finally evolved his Pokemon and added a Swellow to his team. So now his Team consists of Swellow, Breloom, Wailord and Blaziken. My Duosion even evolved into Reuniclus. After he left Gabite's Pokeball began to glow... and you know the drill by now... it was Taken to the PC. I decided to take Kecleon with me this time. I went a bit shopping myself and on my stroll thorugh the City I saw that the Team Aqua was lingering around here, and blocked the water-route with a lot of Wailmers. I was given the TM44 - Rest from a man. Since Team Aqua is blocking my way... it seems I need to take action and head for Mt.Pyre and stop them there... whatever they are up to now. Cepheus
Chapter 10 - Only trouble with Team Aqua - Farewell to a friend I hardly knew... I was all set and head for Mt.Pyre, where Team Aqua was searching for some kind gem. Just outside of Mt.Pyre, the very small Route 122, I caught a Pelipper... and for my surprise it held a Lucky Egg! I returned to the Safari-Zone immediatly to check their PC and could get that Lucky Egg from it, before it got traded away... for a Bagon! I gave the Lucky Egg to my Kecleon, since it had a few Training-sessions to catch up, compared to my other team. I returned to Mt.Pyre and went inside. I didn't know Mt.Pyre was a Pokemon-Graveyard, were trainers lay their beloved partners to rest... I took a moment to pay respect to all those Pokemon... but I was soon thrown back into reality when a Duskull appeared out of thin air before me and scared me almost to death (how ironic...) I managed to catch the Duskull, and I received a Golbat for it. Kecleon could catch up to the rest of my team due to the Lucky egg and the wild pokemon and trainers here. An old Lady handed me a Cleanse Tag, and I found some Lax Incense and Sea Incense. On the top floor I found TM30-Shadow Ball and a Medichamite. I stepped outside to reach the top of Mt.Pyre, where I found TM61-Will-O-Wisp and a Bannettite... I didn't take long and I could see Team Aqua before me. I battled their members to reach the top and meet again with Archie and Matt, who just grabbed one of two gem-stones lying on top of Mt.Pyre... guarded by an elderly couple. Archie said something about awaken a legendary Pokemon with the Blue-Gem he just took, and that it sleeps in an undersea cavern... and now he needs a U-Boat to reach and that would go to Slateport City to get one. Team Aqua retreated and went straight for Slateport City. Before I could follow them, the elderly couple stopped me. They told me that those two gems, the blue-gem Archie took, and the red-gem, which was still lying there, should never be seperated or something really, really bad would happen. So they asked me to take the red-gem with me, if I'm persuading Team Aqua... so that the gems are not seperated.... That made sense, so I took it with me. The old man told me a story: Long time ago, Kyogre - The Lord of the Sea and Groudon - The Lord of the Land fought a seemingly never ending battle. While Kyogre summoned heavy rain and giant waves, Groudon fought by chasing away the clouds and cause a drought and fill up the sea with earth... Then suddenly the two gems appeared... the red-gem, the one I'm holding right now, weakened Kyogres power. And the blue-gem, which is in Archies posession, weakened Groudons power, and thus the two Pokemon were slowly drained of their power and they fell asleep and finally ending their battle... This battle took place here in the Hoenn-region... and is most commonly acknowledged as the story how the Hoenn-region was created by those two Pokemon: Mt.Chimney in the west symbolizes Groudons power of the Land, and the deep sea in the East symbolizes Kyogres power over the sea. I took of to Route 123 and caught a Gloom there and received a Ghastly in return. I went the down the entire Route 123 to Mauville City, from there I took of to Slateport City. As I arrived there I headed for the port where Capt.Stern was giving a TV-Interview... guess I'm not too late... or so I thought just as I wanted to warn him about Team Aqua, Archie was making an anouncement via some speakers, that they are about to steal the U-Boat. We went inside and found Archie and Shelly in front of the U-Boat. Archie challanged me to come to their hideout in Lilycove City... If I'm brave enough to stop them... of course I am! Some members stood in my way, nd buyed Archie and Shelly some time to escape with the U-Boat. Capt.Stern was so nice to organize a small ship immediatly to follow Team Aqua to Lilycove City. I made a quick stop at the Shopping Center to stock up on Medicine and Pokeballs. I met a few Team Aqua members in the City and one was clumsy enough to mention that their hideout is in the cove in the water just outside the city. I went to the beach, jumped on my Tentacruel and went there right away. WOW!!! They must be here for a long time... There are theses Teleporters everywhere! I managed to find my through this mess... and eventually landed in... I think It was Shelly's room... I'm a girl... and that was clearly a girls room, with that cute scented Wailmer-doll... There was a photo on the shelf which showed a black haired haired girl, a young man and a starshaped-pokemon with bangles dangling from it's head. On the back side was an hard to read note... it was an old note that's for sure... there was a date and if I deciphered everything correct the note reads: "07/??/2003 Me, together witch Archie and Jirachi" So this Photo is around 11 Years old... and it shows a young Shelly and Archie.. with a JIRACHI??? How come Archie knows a Jirachi... or yet is a friend of one? Why is he trying to "set everything back to the beginning", when he was a good guy that even a Jirichi would befriend him? What happened to him that he would do such evil things?? I put the Photo back on it's place and continued on and eventually came across Matt's room... which was... well almost empty... all that was there was a bunching-bag, an old cassette-player and a Pillow... Yeah... this was clearly Matt's room. I found the TM97-Dark Pulse there. And I eventually ended up in Archie's chamber... it was bigger than the others and had more of a "Boss"-Stlye decoration... Here I found two Electrodes just wandering around... I managed to catch one, while the pther exploded on me and my Pokemon. For that catched Electroede I received an Torkoal. I found a Nugget and a MASTERBALL! I think Archie wanted to use that Masterball to catch that Legendary Pokemon... to catch Kyogre, once he has awakened it... but not on the watch of me, Hoenn-Ranger Aplha-Sapphire! I take the Masterball with me... If something goes horribly wrong... I will catch it, so that Archie can not use it's powers to destroy this world we live in! I managed to find my way to the U-Boat... but a group of 5 Team Aqua Members stood in my way and battled me 5 vs 1! But they were pushovers... they only had one Poochyena each... and my Sandslash KOed them with one Magnitude. Now the only one that stood in my way was Matt. He obviously challanged me to buy time for Archie... but I had no choice. He send out his Sharpedo and I send out Kecleon. After a bit of skirmish, his Sharpedo was on the brink of defeat when it landed a critical hit with it's Ice Fang against Kecleon, right after I ordered it to attack... Kecleon was heavily injured and I couldn't recall it fast enough... Kecleon KOed Sharpedo... but Sharpedo's Rough Skin was enough to rip up Kecleons wounds enough. Kecleon couldn't handle it's injuries any longer and was defeated... I tried to recover it with a revive... but it was to late... ... I... I... I failed... I'm sorry Kecleon... you trusted me as your trainer... and I failed you! I'm sorry Beedrill... I couldn't keep my promise... I failed you too... please forgive me... As soon as Kecleon was back in it's Pokeball it began to glow... but different than usual, not like it was transfered to the PC because I beat a hard challange... I began to glow red... but I'm relieved... my Pokedex said it was transferred to another special-Box in the PC-storage system... I looked up and saw how the U-Boat just began to merge underwater. Matt said, that he would do anything for Archie... He wants that his dreams come true... Why would anyone support someone who wants to destroy this world we love? He also said that the Cave of the Legendary Pokemon lies deep under water, and if I want to stop them I need to find away to go underwater and that I should check out the Coastal-cities around... Wait... Is he trying to help me? - Why? I thought he wants to do everything to help Archie... Well I guess my next stop in this case is Mossdeep City... it is the only coastel-city beside Lilycove and Slateport City... But for now... I need rest... I need a moment to grief over the loss of friend I hardly knew... Cepheus
Chapter 11 - Kyogre Awakens - The true Power of Protomorphosis! I'm done griefing over my Kecleon... now I need to replace it... and I chose Skitty to acompany me from here on out. But I needed to get it in shape first - So I decided to go on a quick training run and visit "Sea Mauville". Within Sea Mauville I found the TM18-Rain Dance but I couldn't explore it further since I need to be able to Dive in there. I've let Skitty fight against the swimmers on the Routes 106 - 108, and it eventually caught up to my other Pokemon, and I still got my Moonstone from the meteor falls. I used the Moonstone to evolve Skitty into Delcatty after it learned Play Rough. On these routes I caught: Wingull and two Tentacools... which got traded for an Trapinch, an Oddish and a Forretress. I returned to Lilycove City and hopped onto my Tentacruel and ventured forth towards Mossdeep City. Once arrived I looked around first, like I always do. A Lady in the PokeMart gave me the TM60-Quash, a Fisherman gave me the Super-Rod and in the Space Center I received a Sun Stone. I headed into the Gym to obtain my next badge. Inside the gym were giant floating rocks, serving as plattforms for battles with the various trainers. To travol from rock to rock, I got lifted up into the air, just like I would float! What a funny feeling! I reached the gym-leader... well gym-leaders! Why are there two? Tate & Liza were the gym-leaders of this Psychic-Gym. They are twins and have some sort of telephatic connection... that's why they do double battles in their gym. I chellenged them anyway, since I'm not afraid of double battles... and I really didn't need to worry about this one... seriously... They only used Solrock and Lunatone. While I used Sandslash and Wormadame. Sandslash opened with a Fury Cutter against Solrock, which continued with Sunny Day and Lunatone used Light Screen to Protect them and Wormadame followed up with Razor Leaf. Tate used a Hyper Potion to heal up his Solrock, which then got defeated by another Fury Cutter/Razor Leaf combo, while Lunatone used Psychic against Sandslah. - Solrock was down and Lunatone heavily injured. Liza then used a Hyper Potion to patch up her Lunatone... but one hit by Sandslashs empowered Fury Cutter made quick work of it this time. I received the Mind Badge from them, which allows me to command Pokemon up to Level 80 and use the HM07-Dive. They also handed me TM04-Calm Mind. Sandslash was *promoted* to Veteran after this fight and transfered to the PC. As I left the Gym, the earth began to shake heavily! A huge Earthquake! Also a giant pillar of light shot towards the sky, just south of Mossdeep city! What is going... oh no... Team Aqua! They must have found that underwater cave! Steven approached me and wanted to talk to me at his house, where we would not be disturbed or distracted... I didn't know he lives here. Inside his house we talked over the current situation, that Team Aqua must have found that ancient Pokemon and that we have to stop them. He handed me HM07-Dive and a scuba-device, so that I would be able to reach that cave. I taught Dive to Tentacruel. I patched up my Pokemon at the PokeCenter and chose Trapinch as a successor to Sandslash. I went to the Coastal Cave north of Mossdeep for a quick Training-session for Trapinch which eventually evolved into Vibrava. Inside that cave I caught a Snorunt, which got traded for a Tympole and I found the TM79-Icy Breath with my Mach Bike, and a deep part of the cave fully covered in Ice, where I found TM07-Hail, a piece of Eternal Ice and a Glalitite. I the center of the room was giant ice-block that almost froze me when I touched it... maybe I can evolve one of my Eevees here into a Glaceon? - That would be so awesome! I love Glaceon! After my visit in the cave I quickly ventured back to Sea Mauville... now that I can use Dive, I could explore it even further. A little girl handed me a Key she found, it had a tag on it with the number 1. I headed to the Door with number 1 and found another key... that went on until I finally had the Storage-Room Key. I went outside on it's backside and entered the storage-room... which was FULL of NUGGETS! I found 8 big nuggets and 4 normal sized ones, the TM13-Ice Beam and a Beedrillite. I returned to Mossdeep City and made my way to the Underwater Cave to stop Team Aqua. I battled my way through the members of Team Aqua and the wild Pokemon here, and Vibrava learned Boom Burst and evolved into Flygon... and immediatly learned Dragon Rush. (I evolved it later than it needed to be, so it could learn Boom Burst first). Inside the cave I found the TM55-Scald and TM26-Earthquake before wenturing into the deepest parts. Once I arrived there I witnessed how Archie has just beaten Maxie and was mocking him... and right behind them it was still sleeping... the legendary Kyogre! Archie challanged me to a last battle, to stop me from stopping him... He send out Mightyena and I countered with Wormadame and her Bug Bite. Mightyena took a few hits before going down. He then send out Muk and I used Reuniclus to defeat it quickly. Next was Crobat vs Pachirisu... and after that he send out his Ace - Sharpedo, and this time he used the Mega-Evolution... to bad that Sharpedo still is very weak in terms of defence even when Mega-Evolved. After I beat Archie, Shelly showed up and tried to stop Archie from awaken Kyogres, because it's power is to strong to control, it would destroy the world instead of creating one like Archie wants... But Archie didn't listen... the used hte Blue-Gem to awaken Kyogre! I could literally feel it's immense power in the air around me. Then Kyogre left the Cave on search for nature-energy. Pachirisus Pokeball began to glow but it flickered... with an error message "exception error - destination unreachable - try again later". Did the heavy rain somehow interrupted the Pokemon-Storage-System... I guess my Pachirisu is safe for a while until Kyogre is stopped. Archie got a call from the Team Aqua Members outside to report: Immediatly after Kyogre awakened, heavy rain set over the region... and apparently the rain was stronger than anticipated by Archie... it was out of control, and Kyogre headed for Sootopolis City. Maxie explained that, in order to reset the world into it's primal state - Kyogre would annihilate everything on the planet... and now even Archie realised that this is not what he wanted. We left the cave together and Maxie and Archie want to plan how to stop Kyogre, and that they await me in Sootopolis City. After they left Steven finally arrived on one of his Pokemon. I told him about the situation, and he went ahead to Sootopolis City to inform an old friend of his about the situation. I immediately went for Sootopolis City myself. Once I arrived I saw Steven talk to a man, which must be the friend he mentioned, so I approached them. Steven introduced me to Wallace - Sootopolis City's Gym-Leader and Guardian of the Cave of Origin, where Kyogre wants to go to gather Nature-energy. We went for the Cave of Origin where Archie, Maxie and Shelly were already waiting. Since I held the Red-Gem, which could disrupt Kyogres powers, it was I who had to go and face it. Shelly handed me the Aqua-Suit. A special protection-suit developed by Shelly during her time with Devon Corp. Brendan showed up to to wish me luck for this mission. I braced myself... took a deep breath and entered the Cave of origin. I used a Max-Repel... because I didn't want to wear down my Pokemon against the wild ones here before I have to face Kyogre. I ventured deeper and deeper... and with every step I took, Kyogres screams got louder and louder... and the quakes it caused within the cave got stronger and more frequent. As I reached a pool of water at the lowest part of the cave I put on the Aqua-Suit. and got a call from Archie. He told me, when Kyogre appears I have to jump on it's back and ride it down to the deepest part of Hoenn below the cave, where it will try to absorb as many nature energy as possible. Kyogre appeared and I did as I was told... I jumped onto it's back and rode it to the deepest part of Hoenn... Woooooow... if it wouldn't be like the end of the world outisde... I would just stay here and admiring the view... it is beautiful down here! How ever Kyogre reached it's destination... and began to absorb nature energy immediatly and began it's protomorphosis! It was like it hurls itself into a crystal-like cocoon. A symbol appeared it's shell... it was the greek letter Alpha... it began glow and then the cocoon shattered and before me arose Proto-Kyogre! It is HUGE! Somehow Proto-Kyogre caused Heavy Rain here inside this cave. Proto-Kyogre looked into my eyes with a challanging look - like it was mocking me: "You want to stop me? Don't make me laugh! C'mon give it a try - puny human!" I reached out to the Masterball in my pocket... but I put it away... Kyogre wants a real fight... even if it is currently destroying the world it shall aknowledge me as a worthy trainer through a battle, before I put an end to this madness. I need to catch it... if I juts defeat it, it will eventually rise again and cause havoc again. I send out Pachirisu and ordered a Thunder Wave, which I taught it beforhand. I think I caught the mighty Proto-Kyogre off guard, since it got hit and paralyzed. P-Kyogre used Water Ring to engulf itself with water to heal its wounds over time. A Discharge and a few Superfangs later, Kyogre was heavily wounded, but it managed to attack with it's Origin Pulse and KOed Pachirisu just as I threw an Ultra Ball to catch it, but Kyogre broke free. I couldn't help it anymore... I'm sorry little fellow... you will be remebered. Tentacruel was next and attacked Kyogre, to counter its Water Ring. A few Ultra Balls later... I tried a Dive Ball... and it worked! I caught Proto-Kyogre! The Power of Protomorphosis is now in my hands... but... "with great power comes great responsibility" - to quote a famous superhero-comic. I must not use it's power lightly... best would be to seal it away somewhere... The cave began to shake! Was it going to collapse? I didn't want to find out and ran away as fast as I could... luckily I found a way back up. With Kyogre sealed inside it's Pokeball its tremendous power could not cause any more havoc. The rain stopped and everything seemed to go back to normal... Everyone congratulated me to this great effort, and Archie handed me the Blue-Gem for Kyogre... with it Kyogre can perform the Protomorphosis anywhere and anytime... but do I really want this? Team Aqua and Team Magma left. Troy handed me an Eon-Flute, with which I could summon Latias to fly around with me... even when it's inside the Storage-System? HOW? Well if I learned one thing on this journey... Don't question flawed logic... Pachirisus Pokeball began to glow red with a warning "conflicting data - veteran status achieved & defeated"... yeah it should have been transferred after my battle with Archie, but Kyogres powers got in the way... "Analyzing Team" appeared suddenly as a message and Tentacruels Pokeball began to glow too. "Conflict resolved - Pachirisu status: defeated - Tentacruel promoted to veteran as a result." Both got transferred to the PC... well now I can't surf around to reach the PokeCentre... I took a quick stroll thorugh the City and found Sablenite... then it dawned upon me - the Eon-Flute. Iplayed it and Latias appeared. I jumped on it's back and let it fly me to the PokeCentre. This day was exhausting... I need a rest... Cepheus
Chapter 12 - A small training journey and the Final Badge Feels like I've been away for days... Feels good to take a nice long rest after saving the world. However, I need to continue my journey, and prepare for my last gym-badge. Since I lost Pachirisu against Kyogre and Tentacruel as substitute for Pachirisu for my battle against Archie, I needed to fill up 2 slots in my Pokemon team. I chose Electrike for Pachirisu and Tympole for Tentacruel, and since those two needed training I set off to train them, so I played the Eon-Flute and hopped onto Latias and flew threw the sky! Weeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee! This is sooooooooooo awesome! This feels amazing! The wind through my hair, the speed! Wooooooooohooooooooooooooo!!! Before starting my Training-Session I flew back home to tell everyone! But Mom seemed more interested in the fact that I beat Dad in a gym-battle and won his Badge, than the fact that I litterely just saved the world! - However she gave me an Amulet Coin. I also wanted to visit professor Birch and tell him about Kyogre and show him the Pokedex entry. The Professor told me, that after the weather-incident more Pokemon appeared thoroughout Hoenn. Pokemon that normally live in other regions. He updated my Pokedex to the NationalDex. After I left the Lab I saw something shimmering under a tree, I picked it up - and it turned out to be a Megastone - my updated PokeDex said it is a Mewtwonite X! Wait... X ... Why does it have an X? Are there more Megastones for the same Pokemon? Why is the Mega-Evolution so complicated? Now all that's left is, that there is a Pokemon that can Mega-Evolve without a Megastone... ... I just want to understand! I called Latias again and we flew to Mauville City to plan our training session (and because I wanted to eat in a restaurant for a change *tihihi*) I saw Wattson in front of the Prismtower replica, which was illuminated for a change. He said that the replica is connected to "New Mauville City" - a canceled underground city project - and that it symbolizes that there is something going on down there. He asked for my help to investigate it, and that I should meet him in his apartment on the first floor (which normally is only for residents). First I went to the restaurant because I was staaaaarrrrrviiiinnnng... Well looks like my training would start right here! Once you order your food and got a seat, you have to defend your seat in Pokemon battles against other trainers who want a seat... but this should be no problem for me - whoever dares to stand between me and food has to pray for Arceus' mercy! I managed to defend my seat for 4 rounds until my food was ready! *YAY! FOOOOOOOOOD!!! nomnomnomnomnomnom* After I stuffed myself with sandwiches, I went up to the apartments and in the search for Wattsons apartment I visited a few others and found TM89-U-Turn on one of the balconies. One guy seemed a bit behind with his rent and after a few minutes, the rent-collector came out and handed asked me if I was a trainer and if I could make use of a weird stone the guy gave him as a part-payment... it was a Lopunnite! But... if this was part of his rent-payment... WHY does he just give it to a random trainer that crosses his path? Some people are somewhat crazy here in Hoenn... not like in good old Johto... damn... now I'm getting home-sick of my old home... I found Wattsons apartment and he made an Iris-scan from my eye so that the security-system of New Mauville would let me in. He told me the entrance was just in front of the southern entrance to Mauville City under the Bike-route, I would need to Surf to get to it. I should investigate the main security-computer and transmit the security logs to Wattson. So I surfed with Tympole to New Mauville and entered it - the security system let me in, like Wattson said. There were much construction stuff lying around... and electric-type Pokemon. A Magnemity immediately attacked me, but I managed to catch it just for it to get replaced... by a cute little Fletchling! *dawwwwww* I dug through some of this stuff lying around to find a Thunderstone, and a few angry Voltorbs... after I was done looking around I headed for the security computer and submitted the logs to Wattson with just a few clicks. I wanted to look around a bit more but all doors were locked by the system.. but I found an Ampharosite and a Metalcoat in tugged away in a corner. I returned to Wattson, and he said me that everything was in OK... seems the little Prismtower had a short malfunction in detecting... well, malfunctions... Wattson handed me TM24-Thunderbolt as thanks for the help, which I taught Electrike without hesitating. I went on with my training and headed through the fiery path. With all the fire-types there it would be easy to train up Tympole, and soon it evolved into Palpitoad. I even found another Megastone, a Charizardite X... which wasn't here the other times I was here... maybe the events surrounding Kyogre have something to do with the appearance of new Megastones. And it has this ominous X again, well I have Charmander... I could try it out once I get to train it. I wanted to visited Lavaridge Town again, and therefore I had to go thorugh the jagged pass again... and as I almost finished it, I saw something glimmering on the ground, yet another Megastone - a Tyrannitarite! In Lavaridge Town the old lady that gave me an Egg before now had another Egg for me... but currently I don't have the time to hatch it... it has to wait for later. I almost forgot to visit dad! So flew with Latias to Petalburg City. And after that I decided to take on a few re-matches against trainers nearby. So I went on and through Petalburg Woods where I found ANOTHER Megastone... (seriously... how many suddenly appeared out of nowhere???) - it was a Scizorite! After I re-battled a few trainers, Palpitoad evolved to Seismitoad and Electrike evolved into Manectric. To further train them I went to Fortree City and Route 120... and I was strangely attracted by the Sungrotto where I found the Sunny Day TM the other day... I went there to check it out again. I met Flannery inside, and she told me about a strange Pokemon that has appeared here. I went on to investigate further and found another Megastone - an Charizardite Y! AHA! I knew it! Two different Megastones for the same Pokemon! I wonder what effect each of them has. On the lowest level of the Sungrotto I was a large empty cave. It was HOT... UNBEARABLE HOT! As soon as I entered it I began to sweat like a... you know... BUT I DIDN'T smell! Because girls don't smell! We have dignity!!! However... in that large empty cave was a big, floating, golden ring with somekind of dark whirl inside... I wanted to investigate it further but then the a Pokemon jumped out of it! My Pokedex identified the Pokemon as "Heatran"! Damn this looks tough! and with my two low level Pokemon it wouldn't be easy.... I send out Manectric to Paralyze it with Thunder Wave and immediatly recalled it after it barely withstood a hit... I send out Flygon to attack it with Earthquake until it was heavily injured... I hesitated to throw a Hyperball, because of the rule that I could only catch one Pokemon per area... but this was a special occasion, right? So I tried... and tried... and tried... it broke severel of my Hyperballs before it finally stayed in one of them... I wasn't denied the catch... but using seems to be prohibited... like with Latias and Kyogre... it is way to powerful for me to use. The heat subsided... I exited the Sungrotto and continued my training until Seismitoad and Manectric caught up to my other Pokemon and I went back to Sootopolis City to challange Wallace for my Final Badge. His Gym had a giant Waterfall and severel thin Ice plates which cracked as I stepped upon them, and the stairs, which lead to the next floor, were hooked on a mechanism that would only give them free once all Ice plates were cracked... so I had to be careful not to step on one of them twice and fall down... I managed to solve his puzzles and finally challanged him. Since this was a Water-type Gym I decided to let Manectric do most of the work and lead with him. Wallace lead with Luvdisc... and all in all... it was hardly a challange with Manectric and Wormadame as a backup. Manectric defeated almost everything Wallace threw at me with one electric attack. After Luvdisc he send out Whiscash, for which I switched in Wormadame, which defeated it with a Leaf Storm. Next was his (beautiful) Milotic... another Thunderbolt from Manectric was enough. Then came Sealeo... again Thunderbolt took care of it. Last was Golking... I decided to use Discharge this time... it worked out too. I defeated Wallace with ease, and he handed me the Rain Badge, with which I can control ANY Pokemon regardless of their Level. Also he handed me HM05-Waterfall! Which I'm allowed o use outside of battle with his badge... what a lucky coincidence. Again... like all the other times before, one of my Pokeballs began to glow... this time it was Reuniclus! I went to the Pokemon Center to get my Team healed up, and choose a Substitute... and I knew the perfect one - Charmander! I will train it and try out those two Megastones! Now... all that is left is the Pokemon League... It could be that the next entry is my last... before becoming Champ of the Hoenn-Region that is... Strange... why am I so excited about this? I mean... when we arrived here in Hoenn I never had the intention to challange the League... Well I never would have thought that I would save the world from a weather disaster and an evil organization like the Hoenn-Rangers in the TV-Show (hopefully my mom remembered to record the episodes for me during my journey!) - I guess I would make a great honorary member... maybe I will get a character in the show after my heroic acts! Cepheus
Chapter 13 - All roads come to an end... - Challanging the Pokemon League! I made my way to Ever Grande City! Since Seismitoad couldn't lern Waterfall, I had to replace it with Buizel, which I trained up to a Floatzel, and taught it all the Water-HMs - Surf, Dive and Waterfall... and Ice Beam for coverage. I made a short stop at the only building, the Pokemon Center, in Ever Grande City, to calm down and get ready for the Victory Road. How can a single building be called a city? I stepped into the cave that is the Victory Road and knew, that strong trainers and Pokemon where ahead... as I made my first steps I already knew that I would need to use my Pokemon to make it through here... because a giant boulder blocked my path! Then a Lairon attacked me. I managed to catch it, and received a Skarmory in return! A few trainers later I came across a ladder marked with two torches. It seems those torches are there guide you thorugh Victory road, to keep you on track. I climbed down the ladder and it was really dark... good thing my eyes are good enough, so I didn'T need to use Flash. This place isn't that much of a maze then I thaught... I found a few items lying around here and there but nothing extra ordinary... I managed to beat the trainers and the wild Pokemon that stood in my way. I cam across a pool of water, which I needed to cross to advance, so I hopped on my Buizel and surfed. But before advancing I saw down another I saw some light coming into the cave, so I wanted to investigate. It turned out, that this source of light was actually sun light from outside. This water path brought us back, in front of the Pokecenter! I investigated a bit further and found the TM29-Psychic, and returned to the cave and continued my way. Not long after I found a pair of big boulders blocking a small path, Delcatty moved them for me and we found the TM39-Flamethrower, which I taught Manectric for coverage reasons. It didn't take long until we reached the final stretch of the Victory road... here everything was so idyllic... grass growing everywhere, water silently flowing around... I climbed a Waterfall with Buizels help and found the TM89-X-Scissors and continued on... until we reached a field full of Flowers! Petals were flying thorugh the air! In the middle of this field stood a boy in a light blue shirt and greenish hair... Wally! I'm impressed that he made it this far! He looks so... confident now... he isn't that shy kid anymore like he was when I first met him. The fact that he made it here before me... well... ok... he didn't have to stop a criminal organization from destroying the world... He challanged me to a battle, to see who will challange the Pokemon League, and assured me, that he has grown stronger and believes in the friendship and strength of his Pokemon - That is everything I needed to know - Wally, you have become a true Pokemon Trainer! I will not hold back! Wally send out Altaria as his first Pokemon, while I started with Buizel and defeated Altaria with an Ice Beam. Next was his Roselia, while I used Manectric and it's newly learned Flamethrower. After his Roselia came his Magneton. I stayed with Manectric and it's Flamethrower. His Delcatty was next and I called Flygon out. Flygons Dragon Rush was enough to defeat Delcatty. Last was his Gallade! - Well it seems his cute liitle Ralts from before has grown strong... As he send sound his Gallade, Wally pulled a chain from under his shirt, on it was a Key-Stone! Could it be? After further Inspection I saw that his Gallade was wearing a Mega-Stone! So that's what you want - Let's end this Mega-Pokemon vs. Mega-Pokemon! - Go Charizard! We looked int oeach others eyes and nodded... we reached out for our Key stones Mega-Charizard-Y vs Mega-Gallade! ... ... Charizard was just to well trained for Wally... as it managed to defeat Mega-Gallade with one Flamethrower. Wally has come far, but he was just not strong enough... he admits it to himself... He promised me that we would battle again, and that he will continue his training. He mentioned that he got that Mega-Stone from his cousin, Wanda, in Verdanturf Town, and that she found a second one, which he insisted she should give to me, when I visit Verdanturf Town next time. He also handed me a Dawn Stone, like one he used to evolve his Kirlia to Gallade. I thanked him and promised that I will beat the Elite 4 and become Champ! Flygon's Pokeball began to glow... of course it would... Well... now I have to find a substitute for Flygon and train it for the final challange. I made my way out of Victory road and saw it before me: The Pokemon League! As I stood before it's entrance, I saw something shimmering just next to the entrance... a new MegaStone - a Mewtwonite-Y! I entered the building and got my Pokemone healed up in the Pokemon Center there, while I stocked up on important medicine like Full-Restores. Then I browsed thorugh my Pokemon on the PC... which one of you should I bring into the Pokemon League? I know! - I choose you Eevee! - How about we evolve you into Glaceon? - I've got the feeling we will encouter a Dragon-Trainer in there... I left the Pokemon League for now to evolve Eevee into Glaceon and train it up to match my other Pokemon, so I went back to the Coastal Cave near Mossdeep City and visited the Icy-Rock on the bottom of it. After Eevee evolved into Glaceon I went to Verdanturf Town to visit Wanda and, like Wally said, she had a Mega-Stone fore me - a Gardevoirite ... the opposite to his Galladite. I visited a few Secret-Bases to train Glaceon and soon it was up to par with all my other Pokemon... back to the Pokemon League! I gave Nurse Joy my Pokemon for a last check-up before we challange the Elite 4. One deep breath... I closed my eyes, opened the door and went through... the two League assistants closed it behind me... I opened my eyes. I stood on a long bridge... it was dark... sand was flying in the air... at the end of the Bridge was a hut. I walked towards it ... a giant stream of sand came down from the ceiling... I continued my way, and entered the building. There was a man sitting on a chair, he was wearing a black Shirt and red pants. He was almost completely bald, except for a curly hairstrain on his forehead... he also looked really grumpy... But looks is looks... he was actually really nice! His name is Sidney - first member of the Elite 4. Specializes in Dark-type Pokemon. He accepted my challange and started of with a Mightyena - While I lead with Wormadam. I taught Wormadame Struggle Bug, before I entered the League, because I realised that it's Special attack was way higher than it's physical attack. And Mitghyena's Intimidate would made it much worse. Sidney started with Crunch, and Wormadam used Struggle Bug, which was almost enough... Sidney healed up Migthyena two times with a Full-Restore, after a Wormadam's Struggle Bug, until it couldn't handle it anymore. He then sent out his strongest Pokemon - Absol! And I healed up Wormadam ... then came an Aerial Ace from Absol... which Wormadam couldn't withstand... I send out Manectric to deal with it, and immidiatley used a revive for Wormadam... I will not loose any of my Pokemon here! I've come to far for this! Manectric managed to defeat Absol with two Tunderbolts! Next up was Shiftry - which didn'T stand a chance against Manectric's Flamethrower ... and neither did the following Cacturne. Last was his Sharpedo... well one Thunderbolt was enough to secure my victory over Sidney! He opened up the door behind him for me... and he said he was confident that I could beat the Elite 4. I went through the door and found myself on another bridge... it was dark again... and eerieeee... with all that mist, and those glowing lotus-flowers... and then suddenly violet flames appeared out of nowhere, which flew to the lanterns hanging at the building, at the end of the bridge, igniting them. - spooky... I bet the next Elite 4 uses Ghost types. In the Arena stood a happy girl, who was kinda dancing around... flailing her arms back and forth and so on... she had lotus-flowers in her hair and was wearing long blue skirt and a blue sleeveless top. Her name was Phoebe, specialized in Ghost-types... but somehow I got the feeling there was someone other in the room with us... sitting in chair in the back and then came closer to us... I really got the chills in there... "2spooky4me"... Anotnia accepted my challange and her first Pokemon was Dusclops. I chose Wormadam again... but it's Psychic didn't do much... Dusclops defence was way to strong... but I didn'T want to give up and eventually Wormadam managed to defeat it. Her second Pokemon was Sableye, and I send out my Delcatty. Delcatty's Play Rough did a quite good job in taking down Sableye, but Sableye's Curse did hefty damage to Delcatty, so I had do withdraw it, as Phoebe send out Dusknoir. I send out Manectric again. It took a few Thunderbolts until it was defeated, but it didn't do much damage to Manectric... next were two Banettes ... both were no Problem for Manectric and I defeated the second of the Elite 4. Although she just lost, she just kept on smiling and dancing... damn she's one happy fellow... She opened the door for me and I went on. I stood on a bridge again... it was snowing... the building in the distance was covered in ice and snow... Let me guess - the next one is an Ice-type specialist! As I came closer a huge Snow Storm blew in front of the building, bursting open the doors... I went inside to face the third member of the Elite 4. A Women stood there in a fancy purple dress, her name was Glacia... and like the ice around us, she was rather cold hearted... she insulted all the previous challangers and their pokemon as pitiful... Well I will not allow you to call my Pokemon pitiful! My Pokemon will melt your precious Ice-Pokemon you cold-hearted... ... ... ... She accepted my challange and send out Glalie as her first Pokemon... I was burning with anger... how could she insult those trainers and pokemon? - I'll show her... my Charizard! And not just this - I Mega-Evolved Charizard to Mega-Charizard-Y to create a Sunny Day with it's ability and increase it's firepower! Mega-Charizard will burn everything you love! To make it shot: Glalie -> Flamethrower Walrein -> Solar Beam Froslass -> Flamethrower Froslass -> Flamethrower Glalie -> Flamethrower OVER! DONE! WHO IS PITIFUL NOW? She opened the door to the final member of the Elite 4 for me. Who would have guessed? A Bridge... again. On the building in the distance is what seems to be a dragon head.... beneath the brisge lava... Ember is floating in the air... as I came closer flame pillars arose from the lava beneath and into the Dreagon head which opened the door... I entered. Before me stood an fairly old man with a glorious moustache. He was wearing a black mantle and blue pants and a boat-captain hat ... I guess he was or is the captain of a boat with that hat. His name is Drake... Captn. Drake the Dragon-Master. He accepted my challange... as a dragon trainer he will not know what has happened to him, when I'm done with him... He started with Altaria, while I send out Glaceon to it's first major battle! Glaceon was faster then Altaria and summoned a Hail. Altaria attacked with Dragon Pulse, which didn't do much damage to Glaceon.... Now the fun part begins: Glaceon attacked with Blizzard, instantly defeating Altaria! His next two Pokemon, two Flygon, suffered the same fate as his Altaria... directly hit by a quick Blizzard. Next was his ace - Salamance... which managed to attack with Dragon Rush before succumbing to Glaceons frosty powers! His Last Pokemon was Kingdra. Glaceon was exhausted so I swapped it out for Delcatty... It took a bit of time but Delcatty managed to defeat Kingdra with Play Rough. Last one down! All that is left is the Champ! Captn. Drake praised me for defeating him... for knowing what a trainer needs... a pure heart connected to with his Pokemon. He opened the door and wished me luck. I stood on a bridge again... but it was different then before... everything was well lit up... the bridge was made of white marble... the walls were polished steel... and once I came closer to the end a GIANT (and I mean GIANT) door opened up with a huge light beam coming out of it... I entered the door and climbed up the stairs to face the champ. The he stood on the other end of the room, the back turned to me, in a black Jacket and pants and light blue hair... wait a minute... could it... be? No way! He turned around - it was Steven Stone! - Why did he never told me that HE was the Champ? - I bet he held it a secret to surprise me... He said he hoped to see me come here ... that he wanted to know what I learned during my journey... what I felt ... what has awaken within me... I should show him all that in a battle! Steven was always a friend... and as friend... a challanger for the title of the champ - I WILL show him everything I got! He led with Skarmory, while I led with Manectric! Manectric could have defeated it with one Thunderbolt, but Skarmorys Sturdy hindered it... Skarmory used Spikes to lead my upcoming team into a trap... Steven used a Full-Restore to heal up Skarmory, and it took another hit from Thunderbolt... surviving it yet again... next was a Flamethrower that finally defeated Skarmory. Next was his Aggron, I kept going with Manectric. One Flamethrower was not enough and Aggron managed to used Earthquake, but Manectric took it easily. Another Flamethrower and Aggron was defeated. His third Pokemon was Claydol, and I swapped Manectric for Floatzel. Claydol survived a hit with Waterfall and managed to set up a Lightscreen. A second Waterfall defeated Claydol. Fourth was Cradily, which gave me a bit of trouble due to the Lightscreen setup... I kept Floatzel in for now in the hope that an Ice Beam would freeze it... but that didn't happen and Cradily used Giga Drain which Floatzel just bearly withstood... I swapped it out for Delcatty. Delcatty's Rock smash did a bit of work but it wasn't enough but enough to stall out the Lightscreen... Then I swapped for Glaceon... One Hit with Blizzard was now enough. Next was Armaldo, for which I returned Floatzel! One Hit with Surf was enough. His last Pokemon was Metagross... He showed me his Key-Stone and I withdrew Floatzel and send out Charizard... We both Mega-Evolved our Pokemon... but Mega-Metagross couldn't withstand My Charizards burning power! I did it! I defeated Steven... I defeated the Champ! He congratulated me for my victory ... and just as he want's to name me the new Champ Brendan came bursting in! Screaming about, he needs to tell me about the champ before I battle him... well he was a bit to late... Professor Birch came in too. He said something that Brendan was worried about me... (Brendan was worried about me... again... *blush*) and that he always knew I had a chance of becoming the champ... and that I can now enter the final room of the Pokemon League! I followed Steven up the last set of stairs into the Hall of Fame. Brendan wnated to come along... but Steven denied him, since only Champs are allowed to enter... The Hall of Fame... here are listed all Champions for eternity... Together with Steven I put my Pokeballs and my Trainer Card on the altar. Now me and my Pokemon are officially the champs of the Hoenn-Region: I left the Hall of Fame, and Brendan was still waiting for me... He wanted to go home together, and I shouldn't interpret to much into this (*thihihi*)... we went to Route 103 with our bikes... and it has gotten pretty late... Route 103... that small pond... where we first battled... He challanged me to a battle... regardless of me being the new champ... for "old times sake" ... (we haven't been on this journey for THAT long come on!). I agreed. Brendan led with Swellow and I led with Manectric... and Thunderbolt hit Swellow really hard and it fainted. Next was Wailord, I kept Manectric and another Thunderbolt was enough... His Pokemons were approximately on Wally's niveau... so no real threat for me now... Third was Breloom, I send out Wormadam and defeated it with Psychic. Then came Raichu, I steayed with Wormadame, and one Leaf Storm and one Razor Leaf later, Raichu was also defeated. Last was his Blaziken... which he Mega-Evolved. But my Floatzel managed to defeat it in one hit with Waterfall! He admitted that I had surpassed him a long time ago, and that he knew that he wouldn't stand a chance... We went home on foot and watched the night sky, while we talked about our journey... what we learned and all the fun we had... As we finally reached Litteroot Town, there was a small Meteor shower in the sky... it was very beutiful. I arrived at home and told my Mom and Dad the news, that I have become Champ! And then I went to bed... (AHHHH!!! my own bed... how have I missed you and my big fluffy Lapras doll!) While trying to fall asleep I overheard Mom and Dad talking about an astronomy show they wanted to attend in Mossdeep City... but dad has work to do in his gym... *tihihihi* I WONDER if they will give me the ticket for the show *tihihihi* Well... time to sleep... I'm tired... I accomplished so much today...
