In Terra's "World", there's a diary that mentions how she met Baby Arceus. We knew Terra to be shy before she suddenly joined the circus with her "zany" personality, but thing is, we've had overenergetic characters in Reborn before, and many characters have done things for comedic effect, yet none have done the impossible. Only three characters have done so. Radomus has broken the Fourth Wall and many times has proven to know way more than he should. El has summoned the power of Arceus right in front of us (And those of us with Gengar and Destiny Bond giggled) and Terra has broken the laws of physics. All three of these characters have shown to have had some connection with Arceus, Radomus in particular through his connection to El and his surprising amount of knowledge on his cult, which to me implies he was at some time a member of.

Basically, I don't think anything Terra does is random. Think of the chaos theory; There's order in chaos. There's order to the chaos of how Terra acts. Every single one of her actions have moved us, the players, towards a very specific goal.

It's clear to me Baby Arceus has given her - Much like it gave Ditto when El beckoned him - some of it's power, giving her the ability to manipulate Gravity and do other seemingly impossible things. In fact, if anything, I think Terra has her own agenda, and wants to gather the four gems herself. She probably believes it's easier to get them from us than from Team Meteor, which is why she manipulated our every move so we'd go up against them in Agate - Making us chase Hardy, get Surf - Probably the only think she didn't count on was Amaria attempting suicide, though someone who knew about the players nature to, to quote TItania "sitck it's nose in everyone's business" could assume something to that effect. Terra might be random, or she might, much like Radomus, have a much greater understanding of the human psyche than you'd first assume.

I think that's the whole deal - She shows to be completely rational at some points, and utterly insane at others. She reminds me of the Joker, who is said to have not insanity, but rather super-sanity - He's achieved a higher level of understanding of the world, and realized it's all a big joke.

Think about it. It was by her hand we were spared in Agate. Why did she try to smash Cain and not the PC? Because Cain didn't matter. Like he said it himself, we surpassed him long ago. He stands no chance against El or Team Meteor, or Radomus. Only you, the PC, has proven capable of standing up to these people, and gathering all the gemstones.

Which brings us to Terra's objective.

Setting Arceus free.

I imagine the others want Arceus for different reasons. Team Meteor wants it to rule the world, El wants it to wipe the slate clean. Baby Arceus has shown, however, to want none of that. It only wants to play. And Terra, as his avatar, does just that. Everything to her appears to be a game. Everything she says or does is playful and seemingly inane, disconnected.

Yet she's been the driving force for us ever since we get to Agate.

Shelly asks. Why would the pulse - I forget the name of the pokemon, the one that creates the ice wall - would be right there, and not anywhere else? It's so we could get past him with Dive. Which we could only get from the Agate Circus, meaning Terra made sure that even if we never went to Agate, we'd have to meet her at some point (I.E., if there was a way to skip the city, we'd have to go to the circus for the HM, and we'd meet her then). And then she leads us to Amarantine when she knows we will meet Blake and discover that she was part of Team Meteor. Why would she do that? Yet again, to bring us back to the circus. To guarantee we'd get her badge so we could proceed with waterfall (again, assuming she didn't predict Amaria attempting suicide). Think. She made us fight mewtwo. If she wanted to, her team could've been composed solely of legendaries. She could've defeated and killed us right then and there, yet she lets herself be beaten and gives us our badge.

Terra is part of Team Meteor, but she wants us to continue. She's not interested in stopping us, but rather guiding us forward.

EDIT: I forgot to mention Radomus. I think he was originally part of El's cult but withdrew when he realized what El wants to do. I believe he's the neutral party here, who wants to gather the gemstones to keep Arceus from getting released since one way or another it ends badly for us.

Interesting theories but i highly doubt Terra is the "Super Mastermind" you're implying i think she just plays around doing whatever she wants (and that is why i like her, Anarchy! )

It's not really short, you have just played through 13 episodes before, as opposed to one now. As the old saying goes, 'life is like a roll of toilet paper, the closer you get to the end, the quicker it seems to go.'

Previously, I mentioned three characters had done the impossible in reborn. News flash: I lied.

There are actually five characters in Reborn that have consistently done the impossible. Three are the mentioned above. Radomus, El and Terra.

The last two... Well, let's start with the first.

Anna.

Anna has shown to be able to do the inhumane from the first time we meet her. She can see, and probably manipulate, auras, as well as having tremendous untapped psychic potential.

I find it to be more than a coincidence that a character like Anna, of all people, is the one to carry the Amethyst gemstone. I don't mean to say Ame is egocentrical enough to make the most important character hold the gem with her namesake, but I do think she'd be wiling to do that to drop a hint of sorts. Sort of like a note point - The character with particular item holds importance.

In fact, Anna is important. Other than for her amethyst, she is very important. Why? We've no idea.

From the first time we meet Anna there's overwhelming sensation that this will be an important character in the story. In fact, in every appearance of Anna it's always obvious that she's important. And yet we don't know why. We only know two things.

A ) She, like Terra, has been moving the story forward, wittingly or not.

B )She chose us, the player, for some reason.

We'll get more into that later, But for now let's explore A.

The first time we're allowed into the Orphanage we do so because Anna opens the door for us. She says she could see our aura, but she thought we were Laura. To me that is more likely the fact that she can the see the "aura" of a good trainer. The fact she thought you were Laura means what she saw in your was the equivalent prowess of an E4 member.

She sees our potential, if unrefined, and from that point ownards, Anna trains us. She is the one that directs us to Shade's gym. And afterwards, because she gets "sick" she is the one that directs us to Spinel Town, and the gym there. An event of incredible relevance as it is also where we meet El.

I say "sick" not because I mean she was faking it, but that I mean she was not actually sick. Anna mentions how she can see the strings that connect Shelly to people, and the "burnt scars" that charlotte has, and finally she seems at several points in time, to know the future and to know what's happened to us before we've mentioned it (as well as a character with no dialogue can, anyway).

Anna tells us what Shelly needed to hear to go after Heather. She guides us in the orphanage to rescue her. She is the one that tells us to fight Shade, which in turn forces us to go Kiki and stop team Meteor twice in the meanwhile. Think about it. If the characters had gone a different way, if instead of looking for Shade the characters simply fled, we wouldn't have stopped team meteor at Azurine or at Apophyll. Or the factory with Amaria. Or shut down their most secret base in the company whose name I forget.

Because of Anna's initially innocent suggestion to seek Shade we end up on a quest that leads us to defeating Team Meteor four times and most importantly than that, giving us reason.

The kidnapping of our friends gives us the initial reason to oppose Team Meteor. They're no longer a nuisance, but rather the enemy. Think about it. From that moment, the focus of story shifts completely. Up until then, we were after badges, and Team Meteor was the equivalent of Team Rocket. We stopped when we could but never went out of our way to do only. When trouble appeared in our faces we acted. Or when we were asked to.

Yet from the moment Anna and the others get kidnapped, it's no longer about the Reborn League. In fact, it becomes the opposite. We only batlle Kiki for her badge due to convenience. We went to Apophyll not to challenge her, but to get Strength, so we could save Anna. And then we went after Aya to get the Badge that would let us use Strenght outside of combat for that exact reason.

And from then on out, it's always that. In fact, it's Anna herself that says that we're gonna need as many badges as we can and she makes sure we go to Spinel and then fight her brother just to do that. To get more badges. To get stronger.

The badges then become these necessary steps so we can better oppose team Meteor, and no longer is the Reborn League as important as this. We have reasons. We want revenge. For Corey. For Kiki. For the abuse Heather suffered. For the abuse the others suffer. I'm not implying Anna is some sort of mastermind that's caused all this to happen, but I am saying that she saw in us a great trainer and she chose us to oppose team Meteor.

And she guided us to do so up until Agate, when Terra took over.

I don't necessarily believe Anna comunicates with Arceus or is his avatar like Terra is (though she might be), but it is noteworthy that she keeps talking to her dolls, and although that could be a manifestation of her own powers, it could also be baby Arceus. No proof or anything, just throwing that one out there.

So from the point the journey becomes about opposing Team Meteor, we're brought to the last character whose done the impossible.

You.

You beat several of the strongest gym leaders in the Pokemon universe. You, altough at times accompanied, often single-handedly destroyed entire Team Meteor bases. You've defeated most of the Team Meteor leaders. Depending on your choices, you've even defeated an avatar of Arceus itself. If you had a Gengar, you like, just used Destiny Bond and laughed at it, but still!

Charlotte puts it the best way herself. We're an unstoppable wrecking ball. Which is why the first time we cannonically lose, against Solaris, every single other character in that scene is absolutely astonished at that fact.

We're shown to be, or to become as the game progresses, the strongest pokemon trainer in the reborn region, and probably by extension in the entire world of Reborn and that is an inhuman feat.

We've defeated a GIANT Steelix with relative ease. That thing was large enough to crush us just by falling on us, and yet we've somehow defeated it. The only other person who could so was Lin.

Not to mention the uncountable times we've defeated Team Meteor's pulse pokemon who have themselves shown to be able to do heroic feats like creating giant ice walls or completely covering half a city district with dense forests.

We've completed every puzzle, we've defeated every gym, we've acquired every badge and we've stopped every villain and we've the scars and strength to show for it. If anything, it all ties back to us. We're the one who've done the most impossible feats, because, well, most of the feats we do are impossible.

Think about when we met Amaria. She was astonished that we could beat Cain, and she should be. Cain was the next in line to be the poison Gym leader and you saw his original team and pokemon when you fought Aya. He's a gym leader several levels above us when we meet him the very first time, and we defeat him. And we defeat him every time since. And defeat Victoria, a star pupil of Kiki, every time time too. We defeat Fern, who (at least claims to) have also defeated every single one of these impossibly strong gym leaders every time we duel him, as well.

Now, I know this is not the case. We're likely just that, an exceptionally powerful trainer that has come to Reborn to be a hero, and maybe it is true that some characters have chosen us and guided us along this path to become stronger, but I do have another theory.

In XCOMM it's eventually revealed that the player is not a human being but rather an alien entity that has possessed it. Similarly, when that entity leaves the main character and possesses someone else, we control that person.

I don't think it's possible or the case, but I do think it'd be interesting if a similar concept was applied. What if we're the natural response to the unbalance in Reborn? What if our character is being guided directly by Arceus (not baby) or some other powerful deity-like pokemon (Mew, Celebi or whatnot) to restore balance? In the end, like Radomus said, we'd be a player character with no dialogue. Because our will is not our own. We're being guided along, a puppet on strings, unwittingly moving towards the road that will make champion but more importantly savior of Reborn so that balance can be restored and the land can once again be at peace.

The first time we're allowed into the Orphanage we do so because Anna opens the door for us. She says she could see our aura, but she thought we were Laura. To me that is more likely the fact that she can the see the "aura" of a good trainer. The fact she thought you were Laura means what she saw in your was the equivalent prowess of an E4 member.

She sees our potential, if unrefined, and from that point ownards, Anna trains us. She is the one that directs us to Shade's gym. And afterwards, because she gets "sick" she is the one that directs us to Spinel Town, and the gym there. An event of incredible relevance as it is also where we meet El.

I say "sick" not because I mean she was faking it, but that I mean she was not actually sick. Anna mentions how she can see the strings that connect Shelly to people, and the "burnt scars" that charlotte has, and finally she seems at several points in time, to know the future and to know what's happened to us before we've mentioned it (as well as a character with no dialogue can, anyway).

Anna tells us what Shelly needed to hear to go after Heather. She guides us in the orphanage to rescue her. She is the one that tells us to fight Shade, which in turn forces us to go Kiki and stop team Meteor twice in the meanwhile. Think about it. If the characters had gone a different way, if instead of looking for Shade the characters simply fled, we wouldn't have stopped team meteor at Azurine or at Apophyll. Or the factory with Amaria. Or shut down their most secret base in the company whose name I forget.

Because of Anna's initially innocent suggestion to seek Shade we end up on a quest that leads us to defeating Team Meteor four times and most importantly than that, giving us reason.

The kidnapping of our friends gives us the initial reason to oppose Team Meteor. They're no longer a nuisance, but rather the enemy. Think about it. From that moment, the focus of story shifts completely. Up until then, we were after badges, and Team Meteor was the equivalent of Team Rocket. We stopped when we could but never went out of our way to do only. When trouble appeared in our faces we acted. Or when we were asked to.

Yet from the moment Anna and the others get kidnapped, it's no longer about the Reborn League. In fact, it becomes the opposite. We only batlle Kiki for her badge due to convenience. We went to Apophyll not to challenge her, but to get Strength, so we could save Anna. And then we went after Aya to get the Badge that would let us use Strenght outside of combat for that exact reason.

And from then on out, it's always that. In fact, it's Anna herself that says that we're gonna need as many badges as we can and she makes sure we go to Spinel and then fight her brother just to do that. To get more badges. To get stronger.

The badges then become these necessary steps so we can better oppose team Meteor, and no longer is the Reborn League as important as this. We have reasons. We want revenge. For Corey. For Kiki. For the abuse Heather suffered. For the abuse the others suffer. I'm not implying Anna is some sort of mastermind that's caused all this to happen, but I am saying that she saw in us a great trainer and she chose us to oppose team Meteor.

And she guided us to do so up until Agate, when Terra took over.

I don't necessarily believe Anna comunicates with Arceus or is his avatar like Terra is (though she might be), but it is noteworthy that she keeps talking to her dolls, and although that could be a manifestation of her own powers, it could also be baby Arceus. No proof or anything, just throwing that one out there.

So from the point the journey becomes about opposing Team Meteor, we're brought to the last character whose done the impossible.

You.

You beat several of the strongest gym leaders in the Pokemon universe. You, altough at times accompanied, often single-handedly destroyed entire Team Meteor bases. You've defeated most of the Team Meteor leaders. Depending on your choices, you've even defeated an avatar of Arceus itself. If you had a Gengar, you like, just used Destiny Bond and laughed at it, but still!

Charlotte puts it the best way herself. We're an unstoppable wrecking ball. Which is why the first time we cannonically lose, against Solaris, every single other character in that scene is absolutely astonished at that fact.

We're shown to be, or to become as the game progresses, the strongest pokemon trainer in the reborn region, and probably by extension in the entire world of Reborn and that is an inhuman feat.

We've defeated a GIANT Steelix with relative ease. That thing was large enough to crush us just by falling on us, and yet we've somehow defeated it. The only other person who could so was Lin.

Not to mention the uncountable times we've defeated Team Meteor's pulse pokemon who have themselves shown to be able to do heroic feats like creating giant ice walls or completely covering half a city district with dense forests.

We've completed every puzzle, we've defeated every gym, we've acquired every badge and we've stopped every villain and we've the scars and strength to show for it. If anything, it all ties back to us. We're the one who've done the most impossible feats, because, well, most of the feats we do are impossible.

Think about when we met Amaria. She was astonished that we could beat Cain, and she should be. Cain was the next in line to be the poison Gym leader and you saw his original team and pokemon when you fought Aya. He's a gym leader several levels above us when we meet him the very first time, and we defeat him. And we defeat him every time since. And defeat Victoria, a star pupil of Kiki, every time time too. We defeat Fern, who (at least claims to) have also defeated every single one of these impossibly strong gym leaders every time we duel him, as well.

Now, I know this is not the case. We're likely just that, an exceptionally powerful trainer that has come to Reborn to be a hero, and maybe it is true that some characters have chosen us and guided us along this path to become stronger, but I do have another theory.

Have you ever played XCOMM:Declassified? If you have, then maybe what I'm about to say has just crossed your mind. If you havent, there's spoilers ahead, so press on at your own risk.

In XCOMM it's eventually revealed that the player is not a human being but rather an alien entity that has possessed it. Similarly, when that entity leaves the main character and possesses someone else, we control that person.

I don't think it's possible or the case, but I do think it'd be interesting if a similar concept was applied. What if we're the natural response to the unbalance in Reborn? What if our character is being guided directly by Arceus (not baby) or some other powerful deity-like pokemon (Mew, Celebi or whatnot) to restore balance? In the end, like Radomus said, we'd be a player character with no dialogue. Because our will is not our own. We're being guided along, a puppet on strings, unwittingly moving towards the road that will make champion but more importantly savior of Reborn so that balance can be restored and the land can once again be at peace.

Now that I've gotten that out of the way, what I like most about your theories is that you managed to take a jumbled up mess of ideas, that I'm sure a lot of people have thought of to some degree, and make them coherent.

I guess I'm the only one who doesn't understand why Terra is in meteor. Meteor isn't about anarchy so says the psuedo leader "We aren't petty sadists" -Solaris. Kind of sounds like a grand scheme thing to say. Also on the fence about Cal still. Besides his lack of spilling everything when we see him after Aya's gym something doesn't sit right. Can't put my finger on it.

??? did you play thorugh Episode 14?? If yes, did you went down the mountain yourself, or did you go with Cal back to the City?

Because when you go with Cal, he says that Terra is with Meteor...

Probably because we are not aware of Terra at that point in the game - and I'm pretty sure when we first meet her in Agate, none of us thought that she is related to Team Meteor. Hence when we find out she indeed is connected, the shock factor exists.

Where does Shade fit into all of this? We know he has some sort of influence on these characters. How? TV's and Eggs of course. You see, if you watch the TV and just so happen to get Gossip Gardevoir interviewing Anna, you learned that a mysterious shadow is helping her. Someone she refers to as "Mr. Shadow." So Shade knows Anna right? That's not all. Anna has the doll right? Well right before you see the gang get kidnapped, Anna says she'll tell Shade to open the power plant doors. We never see this. Why? Because she could be communicating with him through the doll.

There's also the fact that Shade knows how the strongest of the Reborn League will die. Did you catch that? The strongest of the league. That's why we don't see Eclipse' death. Eclipse isn't in the league. Yes we see Coreys wife and Sigmunds wife die. Who's to say they aren't merely connections? Corey's wife is connected to Corey of course and Sigmunds daughter, sister, wife, etc. may have been the electric gym leader before Julia. I know she wasn't actually, but it is nice to assume, especially because Eclipse wasn't a person and was more so made up. Finally, when Shade says "So dying souls offer the key to your gain. Let not them suffer from poison in vain." He's saying that their deaths are necessary for you to proceed. Does he see you as a villain? Are you a villain? Leaders have to die because of you so that you may get the "key to your gain." Whether it be saving others, or winning the league.

Finally, Eggs. Not just any eggs. Scrambled eggs. Eggs lost in the jump from episode to episode. I'm talking about Togepi. More specifically, the old man who gives you Togepi. He is well versed in Reborns history. He tells you that Luna ran away from Elias and then asks, "Who gave her this idea?" The answer? Shade. Shade told Luna to run. Why? To keep the gem safe? Or to further your goal? It really is a big mystery. However, we now know that Shade has ties with two of the gem holders. One who is losing her mind, and one who has lost her faith.

So where does Shade fit into all of this? Will he have a bigger role? His words are found on a sign in the wasteland. Perhaps Shade is the catalyst. Perhaps he is an other-worldly being, set on saving Reborn? We may not know until later. All we know is, Shade won't be left high and dry. Set to one area. He takes bodies correct? What if he has everyone's soul? It would explain why he has Corey the Gengar. Does Shade have the power to revive people and return their souls? We will see more of him because if we didn't, well. Ame herself said that's, "Bad writing."

Edit: Not to mention, The teaser for episode 15 has said that 2 of the screens were false. Which 2? We don't quite know yet. However, we see Corey jump off the bridge. Definitely dead. Then we see Kiki get her head sliced. She was buried so we know she is dead. Then we see Titania and Amaria. We should all know by now that they will live. Then we see Lin just explode. If two of the screens are false, which are they? We can confirm Amaria and Titania are false because they don't die. Which other one isn't false? If Shade really can revive bodies using souls, seeing as he has Corey's, Then is his screen false? We may not know, until later into the episode. But until then, bye bye.

According to the latest episode around the time of Heather's rescue, Corey's wife/Heather's Mom was a member of the elite four (which Heather may have inherited from her).

I assume everyone thinks so too, but the house in Ametrine City with the empty Pulse machine, explains that Lin is the hive mind of 3 different personalities (Laura, the Meteor guy and Evelynn) which got merged, because of a pulse Magneton. So it makes sense, that Lin is not completly evil. At least that is my speculation.

First, we can confirm from Anna herself and Gossip Gardevoir's interviews that she is a leader, not an Elite 4, the psychic type leader to be specific. though I dont know how this fits in with Radomus

Second, Laura was fired from the Elite 4 in ep14 or 13, you can see it in one of her conversations with Charlotte, before Charlotte's gym battle

Third, Radomus has the Amethyst Pendant, does he have some relation to Anna? Who is radomus anyways?

My theory about the champion is very farfetched, so until more clues are given, I will refrain from embarassing myself

Edit: What is Blake's role in the story, I only know he is a very powerful Ice Trainer but there should be more to him, shouldn't there

I'm enjoying these theories a bit, but I think I'm going to throw in my own. A love how everyone was throwing up that the ringleader is some evil person, but doesn't he look a bit familiar to you. That hat kind of looks like the one that belongs to a certain master of disguise. Something is definitely going on in Agate Circus, but I don't think Terra is the only one behind it all. Part of me thinks she's being pulled by some strings especially when she just runs away after you beat her in a gym battle.
