0 Guzam
Beldum is located in the Byxbysion wasteland and cannot be obtained until after Noel. Also, If you're looking for a certain pokemon, then please check out Shattered Skys Pokemon Location Guide V2. It has all you'll need there. Hint: You need Tauros. 0 Developers Samtale Posted December 21, 2014 Developers Share Posted December 21, 2014 Just caught a beldum and learned that nest balls are the best type of pokeball to use as it only took 2 nestballs to catch it dont know if this will help anybody but I thought I'd share what I had learned
0 AuthorReborn
Bring nest balls and bring something that can paralyze/put it to sleep. Emolga/Manectric/Pachurisu are great for paralysis and you can catch a Paras in the forests around route 1 to put it to sleep.
0 ShatteredSkys
Don't forget a ghost type so it doesn't kill it self to recoil

0 NickCrash
^ already warned just in a very unclear manner Nickcrash was clear about this. To elaborate, if you've already caught Gastly, it knows Hypnosis, so it can be your best bet.
0 Mortally Divine
Or you could just soft-reset every time it kills itself? I dunno, maybe some people think that that is cheating
0 Schiffy
One could argue that the entire method to getting Beldum is cheating in a way, or exploiting a glitch...... Well, one could, until they try talking to Aya's mother while riding the Tauros.
0 Knight_Teutonic
There's a ledge in the place where you find a mudkip (in Byxbysion Grotto) where you can only jump while riding a tauros (heal at aya's gym, head to route 1, mount a tauros, get defeated and black out, then you will spawn at aya's place while riding it). Get inside the cave and voila. (As the others say, bring a ghost type with hypnosis).
0 Fehish
Can I get some help with actually catching Beldum??? I have my Gengar with Hypnosis so it doesn't kill itself but after it runs out of PP it Struggles to death. I've been SRing for about 5 hours trying to catch a shiny. Beldum has a very low catch rate, so it's only a matter of luck. Try to get a shedinja with false swipe as well. It's not lowering its health that's the problem. It's making sure it doesn't struggle to death.
0 Simon
Well, there really isn't a way to stop it since it can only use Take Down, and once it runs out of PP for it, it'll start to struggle. You just gotta try and catch before it can. Level Balls (removed unfortunately), Dusk Balls, and Nest Balls are the way to go.
0 Fehish
Yeah I looked all over for level balls, looked in the forums and found out they were removed. And this sucks I've found 4 shinies and they've all committed suicide.
