anethia
Alien Isolation, hands down. Lived up to and exceeded my expectations. I /hate/ horror, but its more a love-hate relationship. A game really and genuinely hasn't scared me this much before. I haven't exactly played PT demo, but you know what, fuck that. The audio and sound in this game is wonderful, really setting up the atmosphere and scaring the shit out of you. The AI/Alien learns as you go along, and it is genuinely terrifying. It fits into the actual movies perception of the Alien, and is overall amazing to play. There was a bit of repetition, having to go back and forth, but the game progressively got harder using things like that, rather than just making the Alien or the Androids stronger across the board. Overall an amazing game, a must play, and a complete gem. No cheap jumpscares (It does have some jumpscares in cutscenes and you can get jumpscared by the Alien or Androids but it's more based around how you play. Its not the main way of scaring you. Read: Five Nights at Freddys.), great tension, great sound and a realistic/living up the movie depiction of the Alien. 10 out of 10.
Chase
Hyrule Warriors. A 1-time play through a multiple enemy fighter, and it was INCREDIBLY fun.
Damiano
Metal Gear Solid V: Ground Zeroes. First time playing, Sunday. I got it on the playstation holiday sale. People always talk about metal gear and I thought six bucks? Meh, why not? I quickly realized actual stealth was a lot different than the games I was used to. And for some reason I take pleasure in screwing up. I like piecing together a story. It's short for anyone who doesn't care for collectible hunting though but again for six dollars who cares. Now to get ready for when the real MGSV comes out.
Maelstrom
Can't say I went and played outside my genres this year at all. I might be able to say that if I had played Fifa 15. I picked it up but haven't started it.
Shanco
I don't normally play fighting games, which makes Super Smash Bros for WiiU the winner for me.
