Omega_Ra1der
Form my experince, that chatot can be deadly if you don't one of these:a high sp def pokemon,a high speed pokemon, or a electric type (shinx is very useful if you don't the grind) Training? In the same route that taka is in,there're beedrills, they give out about over 500 exp (which quite a bit of exp.) combine that and shinx (or a bulky pokemon that isn't a fire-fighting starter)=WIN. Also protean frog can help alot if you have smack down. This guide helps if you chose a starter that isn't torchic. If you follow the 1st page of the posts and you don't have berries that cure cosfusion, you might want to be prepared for the lileep. Omega_Ra1der
Combusken can sweep this battle with 3 X Attacks. I don't how setup that I going assume combusken nature isn't a speed increasing nature, no way you can't get of enough damage before chatter ohko it. 1. chatot is flying so fighting types are out 2. I am not sure ame updated it moveset so it learns flamecharge at LV. 20. Edited January 7, 2015 by OmegaRa1der
dondon151
Set up against Lileep; Double Kick is stronger than Flame Charge anyway.
Deleted User
Well Combusken, most players often soft reset for Speed Boost for it when they're getting their starter. Alternatively, you could find yourself an Ability Capsule possibly, but the only one I know for sure that was available to this point, is no longer after blowing up the Team Meteor base in Northern Peridot Ward. ej190
Taka and flobot are the entire reason why i loath the cradilly line now. Trainers should be really careful what with confusion being a god tier status in reborn. That lileep spams confuse ray like its going out of style makes the battle a lot more excruciating than it has to be....

Omega_Ra1der
Just highlighted guide main use. Part of its contents also helps with low levels grinding even you beat taka, still grinding off of beedrills and shinx are the keys.
Knight_Teutonic
Emolga can take the role of the faster pokemon and the electric type. It's fast enough to outspeed chatot and kill it with a single shock wave.
Wolfox
Also a good poke to take on the Chatot is the Onix you can get from the little side quest right after Julia
