shinymissingno
I know I made another topic a little while ago, and I'm sorry, but I wasn't sure - and couldn't find - where one would ask this question. In the canon game, I believe Contrary only affects stats-changing moves, but since so much in Reborn has been altered, I was wondering - if given an item meant to slow down a pokemon, such as Lagging Tail, would a Contrary pokemon speed up? Because I wouldn't really wanna give it a hold item mean to raise a stat only to have it lower them instead. Sorry for being a bother, and thank you for any help. Cyaloom
The ability Contrary works only with stat changes in Reborn too. Also, the lagging tail and the iron ball do not give stat drops anyway: the lagging tail always makes the user move last (unless the opponent uses a move whith a lower priority than the move you're using), and the iron ball cuts your speed in half. I hope I was helpful
shinymissingno
Ah. Yes, thank you~ I wasn't certain if that had been changed at all, and wanted to clear it up before I decided to spend a bunch of money on slow-down based hold items. Thank you~!
