Done with my introduction.. Funnily enough it took me almost half an hour to write it.. Couldn't think about posting it until it was perfected.. And even then I'm not sure its perfectly the way I want it.. this perfectionist attitude is gonna be the death of me :P

I'd just like to pinch in here and say good job Hukuna. You've given us a good outline for a character that are all different. Defined enough so we know what we/they are, but the personality and other such things are up to us. I like that.

Thank you, and honestly that was the hardest part of writing up these characters to pull off, until I realized something.

By using the 6 W's we can pretty much get the whole picture of a person's life more or less, and this includes characters.

Who are they?

What are they?

When did key events happen in their lives?

Where did they come from? Where are they now? ((in both the sense of location, and in the meta-physical sense, of how far have them come in life?))

Why do they do the things they do?

hoW do they do them?

As such, I realized that the 2 that most closely relate to one's personality, are Why and How. So, I answered the first 4. ((though I was a bit more vague on when as to give a bit more freedom and not be 100% exact on that matter.)), Without answering how and why they did the things they did, it left the players the room to decide that for themselves. As such they could build the personality they wanted and have some freedom to create their character. While I filled in some of the gaps, I filled in the super mundane stuff. How and Why are the life blood of character, the 2 things that make them characters and well, come to life. It is why people do things and how they do those things that make them interesting, and as such, those are the most important things in creating a character. That is is why I left these questions open. Because to me at least, you guys are still very much creating your own characters. You are creating the part of them that matters and really brings them into context and gives them meaning. I would NEVER wish to take that away from my players, because that is the part of Roleplaying that well, it is the part that makes this enjoyable from the player side of things. Having a character you can call your own. And what are the things we remember most about our characters? Not what class they were, not where they were born. We remember the things they did and how they accomplished those goals. Their personalities drove that by what motivated them etc.

Anybody else hosting a Reroll, I advise you keep that in mind. I am sure your players will greatly appreciate the effort.

I am gonna be busy for a while.. Till 2nd Feb mostly.. So I may not be able to post much.. I will try my best to post something so that the story keeps rolling.. Else Sensei can bunny Oohagan..

I should note K_H, since I can, what you originally described would be projecting your mind into theirs, or it is what Blue does in Graterras: World in Peril. He has this power because he is an Illithid and well, an avatar of a god. He can project his mind onto others much more completely than magic could ever replicate becasue it is a natural power of his. ((and it is part of why Illithids are mad dangerous, or used to be. Blue is really the only one that can Mind Meld anymore, and he doesn't want to use it to harm people.)). Telepathy is nowhere near as powerful a link. SInce Blue melds his mind with those he targets, he can read it as if it were his own, however, a telepathic link is only like a little anchor. While it is attached to another's mind it can only pick up surface thoughts, or what lies on the top. And furthermore, it is very limited in that the people using the link choose what is transmitted. It is much faster than actual communication, but it can only accomplish what a verbal conversation could. ESP ((which is another form of mind reading magic.)) is the forced reading of another's surface thought. One would have to sue Probing magic to go any deeper into the mind, and it is rare, dangerous and highly inhumane. A priest of the Order of Aelia, would never use such magic, not even Priests of Evil Deities really like using it except when needed. ((mostly because it is unnerving to read the thoughts of a being that is in so much pain it is the only thing it's mind can fixate on, and it also messes with reading the thoughts to begin with.))

Anyways, after the lecture on Magic of the mind It is up to you guys to decide who deos the scouting, I am not choosing for ya lol.

I'm waiting for Slairk and Mentheim to follow Oohagan out so that they start scouting. Also, would Ivar be able to relay whatever Oohagan tells him to the rest of the group despite the distance?

The link has a distance for casting, but not for maintaining it. ((it will also snap auto-magically after about 6 hours since this is a lesser mindlink and not a more powerful version of the spell [and no matter how powerful it isn't really permanent, unless a Permanency spell is used on it.]))

So, yes he will be able to communicate with you via telepathy if you are out on the scout mission. For those on the scout mission, to indicate you wish to start, just go looking for the Scout Ivo was sending with you. ((basically that just tells me you are ready, I will run the encounter with him once I know we are ready to move forward. By the way, all of the party will be going out at the same time, just the scouts will go forward a bit while the secondary group waits in the wings, probably get some nice Character interaction going on while they wait.))

Proooooooooooooooooooobably should, would be helpful.

And acquie you should be alright, as well, Roose will be in the Town group. The scouting party is more important to be here at the time. ((and no I won't forget you town group folks, you just will be doing more talking etc or stuff ike that.))
