Doj
Still in Derring (starting) armor and currently in Village 9*. So far, a Monoblos, black gravios, seregios azure rathalos, pink rathian and seltas queen were my objectives since I last spoke about this. I also completed all the possible low rank and 7* quests, but there's a bunch of 6* quests missing which apparently require you to be g-rank in the gathering hall to unlock. Shitty as hell. Edit: I did it :^) I completed all of high rank's main quest line with just the starting armor, apex seregios and all included. I don't think it can get better than that. Doj
He is exploiting the insect Glaive 's pole volt Pole vaulting alone isn't going to safe you from instakills from every ragemode attack from every monster past 8* though :^)

Raviel the Phantom
Just took down Dah'ren Mohran pretty easily, killed it on my first try. I am not sure whether I just had good equipment or it is just weak.
Doj
The first Dah'ren is pretty low on health, the second one has a bunch more. Then again all offline gigantic monsters like Shen, Lao and Jhen have always been killable the moment you get to them.
Raviel the Phantom
Shagura Magala, a symbol of a great cataclysm from years past: A challenge, but one on first try. The Dahran Mohran, a titanic creature that plagues the sands: Easy peasy. Kirin, a magical unicorn: Holy crap the hardest thing ever! Doj
Shagura Magala, a symbol of a great cataclysm from years past: A challenge, but one on first try. The Dahran Mohran, a titanic creature that plagues the sands: Easy peasy. Kirin, a magical unicorn: Holy crap the hardest thing ever! The Mohran family isn't exactly aggressive. They're pretty docile until they get bothered. If it wasn't for the fact they're as big as a football field, they would be harmless as a Rhenoplos I killed a few hundred Kirin in MHF, Dos and MHFU so that little dick isn't going to get the drop on me anymore. Meanwhile they buffed Yian Garuga into the most evil piece of shit to ever grace a western Monster Hunter release and the high rank village quest involving him has so far been my hardest and longest fight. I'm definitely not looking forward to fighting the g-rank version which will probably boast even more ways to kill you.
The Fush
Beat Shagaru, rad fight although I personally preferred Gore gonna move on to Rank 6 quests after farming Gore's stuff a little his feelers are a pain in the ass to get since you can only break them when he's enraged, but protip try to mount him when he's enraged, pull it off and stab/shoot his feet a few million times, add a bomb in if you want to looking forward to the shit this game's gonna throw at me now

Kontana
high rank caravan quests or are you talking about guild quests? D:
Raviel the Phantom
I noticed there is a big gap on damage output the monsters have between low and high rank in the caravan quests.
Kontana
thats normal though, idk iif the same thing would apply with guild quests though since they are buffed up for groups, g rank monsters hurt. ;<

The Fush
that theme played to the background of me screaming angrily at silver rathalos i beat him yes and i'm trying to farm molten tigrex gimme those godamn fang+s already also beat up fatalis need to work on beating up things without dying though
Doj
and i'm trying to farm molten tigrex gimme those godamn fang+s already Have fun with that. Only face breaks and captures have a fang drop chance (57% and 28% in that order), and his face will need maybe 40% of his total health in damage in order to break. On top of that, his head will likely make you bounce when he isn't in 2nd stage rage mode so you probably have to resort to using traps, blast or impact weapons. He also will not show any indication of being near death so you'd have to time a capture well or use capture guru. Worst monster to farm >solod Dalamadur >solod Ukanlos Fuck these health sponges. Farming my twin velocidrome guild quest right now where one of the two is almost always frenzied which makes seem time to go fast forward when it goes in ragemode. They also twoshot me with any attacks so it's pretty fun, especially since a frenzied deviljho keeps invading as well.
Raviel the Phantom
Well after a break to beat Majora's Mask, I'm getting my Charge blade back to unlock Rank 9 in the caravan.

Kontana
Gem for minds eye and destroyer for stuff like that, its a pretty neat useful combo to have when you need to break parts on things like that. Going to have to farm shah dalmadur and that thing really scares me i don't even know if i was doing damage to it when i fought it lol. Doj
you're implying i use weapons that bounce on him I'm not implying this. I'm saying his head has really high resistance out of second rage mode, which means it takes a lot of hit to make him stagger; 3 times more hits than a regular or brute tigrex to be precise. It also needs to staggered about 4 or 5 times before it breaks.
