Xiri
Okay so I got bored... so I decided to make an 'updated' team roster for the first three Gym Leaders - bearing in mind to keep them 'challenging' but not 'impossible' (might do the rest later...) These are just purely my opinion, and was done out of boredom - so no harsh criticism please... (But your opinion is welcome!) (Changes made in bold) 1. Julia Helioptile, Magnemite, Voltorb, Emolga, Luxio, Electrode Having 2 Voltorbs seemed slightly redundant (although I think this was done on purpose to ensure Julia makes use of the synergy caused by Explosion/Selfdestruct and her field effect) - so why not have a Magnemite? (It can also explode right?) Blitzle never really caused much problems for me - so I replaced it with Luxio (although Flaaffy might have been suitable too) 2. Florinia Maractus, Cacnea, Ferroseed, Grotle, Breloom, Cradily I think her team is fine as it is - since its supposed to be a Grass-Sandstorm Team (too bad her starting Pokemon doesn't start a Sandstorm). I suppose Grotle could be replaced with Swadloon/Leavanny with Overcoat, but that seemed slightly harsh. 3. Corey Arbok, Koffing, Croagunk, Trubbish/Garbodor, Skuntank, Crobat ...I might have gone slightly overboard with this one. With 3 Poison-type experts in the game, it felt extremely redundant that all three trainers carried a Grimer (pre-E14) - and none of them had a Koffing or an Ekans. I know Corey had a Trubbish in the past, but again - Cain and Aya doesn't have a Garbodor so why not?
Knight_Teutonic
Nice. I decided to make a roster for julia too, just for fun. It contains moves that pokemon could either learn later, or by breeding with a ditto (a low level voltorb with explosion, for instance). I might add other rosters as well later. LittleDevilex
I made this team for Julia. It is pretty hard to beat. I had to reset for good IV's/natures to be able to defeat her. And speed EV train my team. Heliolisk (Leftovers), lvl18, Modest Charge Beam Mud Slap Charge Quick Attack Chinchou (Leftovers), lvl19, Timid Bubblebeam Shock Wave HP Fire Thunder Wave Joltik (Leftovers), lvl19, Timid Struggle Bug Electroweb HP Water Toxic Magnemite (Leftovers), lvl20, Modest Gyro Ball Shock Wave Sonic Boom Flash Emolga (Leftovers), lvl23, Adamant Acrobatics Spark Astonish Quick Attack Electrode (Leftovers), lvl25, Adamant Spark Volt Switch Rollout Explosion I also gave her 2 more potions...regret that now. For my challenge replay I remade the other gym leaders to be harder, some of them got mega evolutions, and also Fern, Victoria, Pulse pokemon, meteors... This team seems to have some problems against Marshtomp (unless Electrode explodes in his face), but if you don't use it, it could be "too" hard to defeat (so it would encourage people to choose Mudkip). Also, is the level cap changed? If it isn't, you can have a big level gap between your Pokémon and Julia's. It may be interesting to know how you've beaten her with this team. In the end, this could become the Reborn Challenge Mode (like in Black2/White2)! Edited January 19, 2015 by Cyaloom

I used the same pokemon/strategy like I would normaly. 2xTrubish for Toxic Spikes/sludge, Kricketune, Marshtomp, Goldeen, Espurr, Litleo...all were lvl 19/20. I managed to beat her with Monferno too. How exactly does one make new teams for Gym Leaders? By making new teams for them ↑ That is all you need to know. Cyaloom
Yep Marshtomp counters it hard. Let's add a Rotom-Mow! (JK) You tested the team in Reborn, right? So you may have RPG Maker yourself! Edited January 19, 2015 by Cyaloom

No, I did not use any special program/tool to change or play the game, I don't even have the one you mentioned. I tested it normally during my challenge replay. Also I would rather not speak about how to do it since Ame said if people knew how to do this they would probably change it to be more easy rather then making it harder. Cyaloom
Ok then! if people knew how to do this they would probably change it to be more easy rather then making it harder. That would ruin what Pokémon Reborn is doing; making you use at its fullest all the Pokémon available (and liking them after using them) and providing a great challenge Edited January 19, 2015 by Cyaloom
Administrators Amethyst Posted January 20, 2015 Administrators Share Posted January 20, 2015 regarding julia and magnemite, she originally had one but I removed it because it basically made choosing fire type starters a necessity for anyone who didn't hate themselves. Guzam
Welp, let me give my Kaizo mode Julia roster. Keep in mind for my Kaizo you can only get Bulbasaur/Squirtle/Charmander as your starter and have limited options. I made a post about this in another thread (Which by the way I have been trying to work on Kaizo reborn ). Anyway, level cap before Julia is now 15. Reason being is so that you can't dragon rage spam. The one Common Candy is no longer accessible either. Anyway, on with the show. Get ready for some real Kaizo shit here. Joltik (Lead) Level 15 Ability: Compoundeyes Item: Focus Sash. Moves: Sticky Web, Giga Drain, Signal Beam Charge Beam. Dedenne (The Monster) Level 15 Ability: Cheek Pouch Item: Sitrus Berry Moves: Charge Beam, Rest, Snore, Charm Stunfisk (Trap House) Level 16 Ability: Static Item: Leftovers Moves: Stealth Rock, Water Pulse, Mud Shot, Charge Beam Magnemite (Heavy Metal) Level 15 Ability: Sturdy Item: Shell Bell Moves: Electro Web, Flash Cannon, Electro Ball, Signal Beam Emolga (Higher than a Kite) Level 16 Ability: Static Item: Assault Vest Moves: Nuzzle, Electro Ball, Aerial Ace, Knock Off Electrode (Al-Qaeda) Level 17 Ability: Statice Item: Life Orb Moves: Electro Ball, Signal Beam, Sucker Punch, Explosion

Guzam
Sounds like someone doesn't understand the point of kaizo. The point is to be as impossible as possible. You could still win...if luck was in your favor or if you know what the hell is going on.
NickCrash
With that 1 common candy people could at least have a second evolution. Such sets only discourage Squirtle. Also, what's the point of half the pokemon having Signal beam? It's not like it's super effective against the anything (bar psychic type you'll have to pay for) Edited January 23, 2015 by nickcrash
