Bearadactyl
So, what I'm talking about here are newer Gen games; recreated using the old engines, like Pokémon Platinum on the Pokémon Crystal Engine and so on.I haven't found many out there, so I'm taking it to the forums to ask if any of you have found any nice Demakes? In my case, I'm particularly interested in newer games remade via the Gen II Engines as Gen II is by far my favourite generation due to deep personal reasons. So, what's the word out there? Have any of you found and decent demakes?
RedSinger
That would be an interesting idea, and I'd love to see it. If only I had experience in ROM hacking...
Commander
Pokemon Prism is the only Gen II game I can think of with Demakes, but it's slowly still in development (Pokemon Brown is Gen I, but fully completed).
Bearadactyl
I've only seen a few demakes, like Pokémon Hoenn League. And, it seems like development has all but stopped in the Beta stage.
Maelstrom
You hipsters and your demakes. I find that to be an odd thing to desire. What are parts of gen ii did you like that much, exactly?
Bearadactyl
I really enjoyed the atmosphere, but I feel that was brought almost entirely by the limited colour pallets. I also enjoyed, I guess the simplicity compared to Gen III and forward? Sort of like how I enjoy Minecraft 1.7 or so over the current build. But, yeah, mostly the look and how much simpler the game play was.
