Hence topic. I want to see what is the one of the powerful units, I start. FE awakening, Chrom-Female MC morgan. Remember he have both mc and chrom traits so his chance of ignis of triggering is 45% or something and he is a tactician so after these following class changes, mage, sage, knight, and sword master, he will be a god.

EDIT: Since this thread magically revived, I will allow any general fe units BUT PLEASE REFER THE GAME THE CHARACTER IS IN.

Dread Fighter Male MU ~ krim. This is my final build for my Lunatic+ run.
After getting vantage and vengeance from myrmidon and sorcerer respectively, he can kill pretty much anything he takes a hit from. As for the other slots, Armsthrift for unbreakable brave weapons, limit breaker for +10 to stat caps and finally counter just because I needed another skill.

Donnel could be powerful if you develop him correctly, if you grind him to at least lv.10. second seal to merc, then master seal to hero. Bam tough to kill high damaging unit, why? Aptitude is there when you get him which increase the chance of all stats increasing by 20% which means every 2nd level on average, all stats will increase.

Sorceror Noire, Henry or MU are usually the best parents IIRC. Or really any Sorceror in the game. Give them a Nosferatu/Aversa's Night tome Vantage, Vengeance, Armsthrift and a couple other skills (PavGis being optimal, but Tomefaire, Bowbreaker, Tomebreaker, and of course Limit Breaker are all useful) You can also mimic this with an Aversa-mothered Morgan in the sage class, I think your defense is a tad lower but your damage will be off the charts

I honestly prefer Sniper Noire. Virion as her father. Then quite honestly I agree with most of those, but choose carefully who you have Donny marry, the ability he has will create one of the most op units for you

Lon'qu is good but kinda fragile, but his skill activation rate is just about as dangerous as henry if you're going for characters that don't attack from a distance. Lethality + Astra = byebye All Who Opposes Potato Peeler

Lon'qu!Owain is also pretty dangerous since if you have sage lissa as a parent (who can have up to 52 maxed out magic, by the way (if you keep +2 magic and tomefaire on her, and also add galeforce to that) he'd make a pretty good dread fighter.

Am I the only one who turned Tharja into a Dark horse guy and had her eat all the hits and then the enemies souls to heal back up?

nope, did the same as well! tharja becomes a real tank as a dark knight tbh

I then paired her with Vaike for more bulk and blonde Noire, best Noire, and then paired HER with the MC who I also made a Dark Knight whilst giving him skills. Unfortunately this process took so long I couldn't be fucked to grind Morgan up again. I mean, I had beaten the game outside of the bonus uber hard maps for the extra characters

If you only want extreme levels of damage, Vaike!Gerome!Morgan for the highest base strength, Limit Breaker, turn him into a Warrior, and voila! near-Apotheosis levels of strength.

Overall, in-game (not Apotheosis), I've found that Robin, the Taguel, and the Manaketes tens to be the most powerful units, due to, respectively, the ability to use almost every skill (such as Galeforce/Lifetaker), Immense skill for... skill activations (...except Lethality suffers on L+), and being and overall tank once they get going.

If we're talking about Awakening only then some of the strongest units I've ever used among the parental generation (children being broken is a given) are Swordmaster!Gaius (the extra str growth really helps him out over Lon'qu in my opinion), Hero!Cordelia (one of the most optimal blends of str, skl, spe, and def I've ever seen in a close quarters unit), and Wyvern Lord!Panne (this is just downright broken, easily the best axe user in the early game if you reclass her straight away, just look at her growths). Tharja's also a really good mage, but that's probably because I've never really used Ricken or Miriel.

Then again I've never used Donnel 'cause I reckon he looks stupid, he probably beats out all of these except maybe Panne.

If we're talking about FE in general then holy hell Zihark is good.

Completely forgot about the most broken character, Donnel. He is one of the only units that gets Aptitude
