Commander
Fire Emblem Deminian Knights Welcome all to this little RP of mine. Took a little bit, but it’s finally up. Rules 1. Respect thy other players and host. 2. Sexual Content should be inexistent or minimized -Due to the nature of the RP, I’ll be quite lax on Violence and Swearing, but I may say something if I think you’re going overboard. 3. No bunnying without the other player’s permission Overview Deep in the Kingdom of Annea, a massive war has broken out against the Onishian Empire. The Mad King gave his men orders to slaughter every last Annean for reasons unknown. The war had been going on for almost a year with the Anneans slowly losing hope. Their victories in the war grew smaller and smaller with the Onishian Empire slowly pushing them further and further into the kingdom. Fully aware of the situation, the Senate formed a pact decreeing for the armies to immediately find and train new recruits for battle. While there was dispute among the army, some of the high ranking members reluctantly stepped down from the front lines and scattered about. One such man was General Virgil who was ordered southward to the town of Deminbriar. With spirit of Annea slowly shattering, help was all but difficult to find. The Four Kingdoms Annea- The largest of the kingdoms located in the Eastern part of Ithelia. The Kingdom is well known for its fertile soil which helped it flourish and giving it a vast amount of wealth. Their military is also quite strong with their massive supply of horses and the almighty peagusus riders ready for action. Onishia – The Military Strong Kingdom located in the Northwestern part of Ithelia. It is said no other militia matches the strength of Onshia with their vigorous training and powerful Wyvern Riders. The colder climates also make living in the country rough. All in all, the people were built tough. Istrea – The benevolent Kingdom located Southwest of Annea. Due to their pacifist nature, many people migrate here to avoid the conflicts of war. All of the other Kingdoms respect this and avoid bringing battles into their lands. Rumor has it that some of humans can transform into animals. Erzaway- A Kingdom that consists of a large island West of Istrea. While they do have a well-respected militia, their mostly focus on trading. With their expertise in sailing, they trade goods with many countries, especially with their neighboring countries of Annea and Onishia. NPCs Virgil Full Name: Virgil Vanderbelt Age: 42 Class: Vanguard Weapons: Silver Sword, Steel Poleaxe, Tomahawk (and a Shield). Appearance: Short Brown-hair along with a moustache to match. Average height, buff and wears a light amount of steel armor across his body. Under his armor, he wears an orange shirt and white pants. Personality: He is typically mean, loud, and is always finding something to yell at his men about when not giving orders. Background: Virgil grew up living in the nearby town of Darlborough who his parents were bakers. When he grew of age, he left home and joined the militia which he slowly grew up in ranks. He eventually gained his high ranking general status after fighting alongside Onishia to fend off a fearsome armada of foreigners. He usually fights alongside his men up in the front lines, but had to step down to train new recruits. Additional Details: Most of his men nicknamed him "Mad Dog" seeing as how many orders he barks at them. Many of his men would actually rather die on the battlefield than face his wrath. Kelsey Full Name: Kelsey Schecter Age: 16 Class: Priest Weapons: Healing Staff, Rescue Staff Appearance: Shoulder long black hair, green eyes, and wears a white robe with black tights under it Personality: Very shy girl who rarely talks and freezes at the sight of violence. She also tends to be easy to push around Background: Kelsey lived her whole life in Deminbriar serving the church. One day, the army needed another Priest to heal the injured soldiers. Father Thomas was reluctant as many of his members were against warfare wishing for nothing but peace. Seeing as Kelsey was the only one who'd not cause an uproar, he had little choice but to enlist the girl. Shortly after, she began training under General Virgil to prepare for warfare. Additional Details: There have been long conflicts between the church and military so many of the older soldiers give Kelsey a very hard time and harass her. Zachariah Full Name: Zachariah Giarman Age: 20 Class: Archer Weapon: Bronze Bow Appearance: Long, blonde hair that curls a bit when it reaches his shoulders, brown eyes, and a smidge shorter than Virgil. He wears a green shirt along with brown pants to help himself blend in with the trees. Personality: He has a bit of an ego and flirts with every young lady he crosses paths with. Background: Zach was born in the busy city of Bluevale. When he grew older, he decided the girls of Bluevale weren't fit for his tastes and ventured off on a quest for the right girl. So far, his quest has been a miserable failure with nearly every girl rejecting him. Eventually, he ventured his way into Deminbriar where Virgil noticed he was quite talented with a bow and persuaded him to join his training sessions. Additional Details: Zach learned how to use a bow as a mean to hunting animals when traveling from one place to another. Heizen Full Name: Isaac Heizen Age: 30 Class: Silver Knight Weapons: Silver Greatlance, Spear, Iron Sword Appearance: Somewhat short brown hair that is well groomed and is always seen wearing his silver armor. Even not when fighting. Background: Heizen's family has been serving the Annean royalty for many generations. After his father passed away, he took the duty of serving as head of the current queen's royal guard. Due to the traitorous action of General Zagan, he was forced to fill in the role as general leading the army to try and stop the mad king's armies. Additional Details: Heizen sometimes gets lost in thought or forgets something important should the queen's name be mentioned. Available Units Soldier Lance wielding infantry who are light on their feet. While they have pitiful attack and defense, they more than make up for it with their abilities to dodge lethal blows and puncture their enemies multiple times. Fighter The Axe wielding users with unbelievable power. They have a bit of bulk and speed to back up their power, but be weary. They can only take so many hits. Myrmidon (closed) The deadly sword wielder. Anyone who faces them will fall victim to them in seconds. They sacrifice armor for their speed. Even the slightest hit is fatal to these units. Mercenary (closed) Like the Lords, these units specialize in swords. They are well rounded soldiers who are always ready to battle. Just be careful around those mages. Knight Heavy armored spear wielders who have nearly impenetrable defenses. These tanks are slow walls, but only magic attacks do damage to them. Archer These bow wielding users are great for long ranged combat. Unlike the games, they don't stand around when someone is hitting nearby, but there defenses are still paper thin due to not wearing armor. Thief These Knife wielders have the ability to steal from enemies with ease. While they have weak defenses, they can dodge many attacks and don't fear close or far ranged combat. Just be careful not to be gained up on. Mage The magic wielding users who can wield Wind, Fire, or Thunder tomes (random book things). Their magic is quite powerful and a threat to many different types of units, but they are quite frail. A couple of attacks and they're down for good. Priest The main healer of the group who uses staff to tend to their allies' injuries. These frail units never see the front lines, but their role is always important. They can even do things outside of healing such as teleporting allies to their side. Dancer (closed) These special units Dance nearby to help invigorate their allies. Many of them carry swords or daggers to protect them should any danger come to them. Dance(s): Sylph’s Waltz – Increases the speed of nearby ally units temporarily Bard These music lovers often like to sing songs, some that can even hinder their opponent’s. While they do carry bows that can hurt their foes, they tend to stick with their instruments. Song(s): Hymn of Naga – Weakness enemies causing their attacks to be less effective Battles Battles are divided up into two group which I call Free-for-all and Critical Moments. Free-for-all is basically when I let you control the fight however you feel like it, but I prefer if you mix it up a bit. Critical Moments are a bit more serious. Unlike the former, I control the enemy units in quick battle. It's best to proceed through these with caution because one small slip could prove fatal. How battles functions are rather simple. The Weapons triangle helps influence the outcome of the battle. If you fight a Myrmidon with a Lance, that Myrmidon is probably going to die. However, if you see a Warrior nearby, you may want to retreat because you likely won't be unscathed. Axe wielders are able to break lances rather easily, but sword wielders are a bit quicker and can hit axe wielders before they move. Lance wielders have a longer ranger making it difficult for a sword wielder to move in. Keeping that in mind will keep your character safer. Bosses In the games, bosses were units who were just merely stronger units. Things are a bit different here. Unlike a majority of those bosses, these guys are tough, unfair, and sometimes downright brutal. Each boss has at least one special trick or trait that no other enemy has. This could be just about anything, some including armor that cannot be pierced. The only way to take down these foes is through both wit and teamwork. Shamitako
Gonna carry over a character from an old FE: A RP that never got started Not really sure what to do with the backstory, since her previous one centered around giving her Miracle off the bat and was kinda set in Awakening's universe. Suggestions are welcome ^^ Also her eyes are orange, which is totally viable in FE, but IDK if you want more realism Name: Trinity Tapia Age: 33 Class: Knight Appearance: Short, about 5'3/4". She has golden skin the practically glows in bright sunlight. Her eyes are a dull orange, though still full of life. Her thick black curls are usually held in tight buns on the side of her head (think Princess Leia) with silvery ribbons. When not clad in her silver and gold colored armor, she usually wears a simple white dress with orange trim. It covers all of her between just past her shoulders to just beneath her knees and has a high neckline Backstory: Additional Details: She's P much the offspring of an unholy union between Owain and Olivia Also she's terrified of heights Favorite Fire Emblem Game: Awakening owo
SilverJakler
Name: Chaust Tayberd Age: 26 Class: Myrmidon Appearance: 5'10". All around slim figure, with a hint of muscle. Healthy, light skin. Green eyes. Shaggy cream colored hair that reaches the bottom of the neck at a point. His attire consists of a purple, long-sleeved shirt with black combat oriented pants. Brown boots made for movement and combat, along with two black belts slung over either shoulder, making an "X" shape over his chest. Backstory: Not determined yet. Additional Details: Playfully confident. A real charmer at times, but his personality can rub people the wrong way, often unintentionally. Has a good head on his shoulders and tries to do right by others. Favorite Fire Emblem Game: Tie between Rekka No Ken and Awakening. Support Squad Felicity Posted February 3, 2015 Support Squad Share Posted February 3, 2015 Name: Karl Onerlous Age: 16 Class: Dancer Appearance: A veritable dwarf at 4"6, he is rather small for no known reason. He's just a midget. He had a bright smile with a single tooth missing, blue eyes and scarlet red hair with rounded features that lend themselves to the smile often on his face. Backstory: Always the runt, he grew up struggling to do any physical work. He was never very strong and always smaller than the others to boot, but he made up for it with his jokes and antics, playing with the rest of the children by preying on the unsuspecting adults. As he grew up, other children did too and stopped with the pranks, so he made his own fun, Dancing, having much more spare time than others due to his size and the townspeople not bothering to put him to work as it would result in some sub-par results as well as the fact that there were very few miental tasks he could do for the town. Eventually he honed his craft and was sent off to battle for no reason he really knew of. People like to see a dwarf dancing though. Additional Details: Little bit immature. RubyHeart
Name: Lucia Artemisia Age: 21 Class: Myrmidon Appearance: 5'7" in height with medium length silver hair. She has amber eyes and pale skin. Looks healthy and has an average body type. She normally wears tight-fit clothing. keep it in your pants you pervs For Reference of cloths and hair colour Backstory: Lucia was born in a small town in a poor family. One of her favorite activities was helping her dad in a forgery where she took a liking to thin swift swords, which led to her asking her father to teach her how to use one. Her father refused, however. She began to self-teach herself to move swiftly and strike fast while her father wasn't watching. Her father broke and melted down all the swords that she used, one day when he found out, however, on the same day a thief broke into her home and murdered both her parents. After the shocking event she packed up her fathers equipment from the forgery and headed to the town of Deminbriar, where she would set up a new shop and so she can train more to hopefully join the army. Additional Details: Lucia has no ideals for revenge and believes that only true justice should be brought out. She holds no anger towards anyone, but will be sure to enforce the laws and punish anyone who were to break the laws. She was 15 at the time of her family's murder, and 17 when she reopened her fathers shop in Deminbriar Favorite Fire Emblem Game: I like the story for all of them. Raindrop Valkyrie
Reserving for later. ((Much sadness... I can't play my favourite class XD> Pegasus Knights be the beeest. Will go with my other one though.)) Name: Emberly "The Drake's Knuckle" Tagurd. Age: 32 Class: Mercenary Appearance: 6'2" Emberly is almost Amazonian in her looks. She is rather tall for a woman and cuts an imposing figure. Her hair is a Fiery Orange and is a wild mane of a hairdo, mostly because she doesn't really care how it looks. Backstory: Emberly has traveled a lot in her day. She has always been a free spirit not liking to be tied down anywhere or to anyone. She traveled with a group of Mercenaries fro awhile where she learned the trade and gained the skills to fight well with a sword. And as we all know, every good Mercenary has a Calling Card. She was named "The Drake's Knuckle" ((or Drake for short)) for her fiery no holds barred fighting style and attitude. It constantly got her into trouble with clients as she would give them a piece of her mind all too willingly. She mostly was recruited for fighting or guard duty after a certain incident where she stormed out of a Small Lord's Manor((a.k.a no one that was really important, but somebody that thought they were important.)), having been angered at his treatment of his workers. As such, she was never really hired to be a Bodyguard ever again. At some point she met a young Lad by the name of Yuri Lenn. He was a young teen at the time and he had heard of her thorough the grapevine. While she wasn't a huge legend or anything, word of mouth did still pass around in her old trade. She was known locally at least enough that this boy knew of her talents. He wished to be trained. Not having anything better to do, and wondering what kind of a challenge it would be Emberly accepted and took the boy under her tutelage. While he was certainly not the same type of fighter she was, Emberly tried her best to teach the lad how to fight and anything she could. She taught him for nearly 4 years until he decided to join up with the army. As once more, Emberly found herself with nothing better to do, she decided to tag along with the kid ((who was now a young man.)). Additional Info: Emberly typically goes by "Drake" rather than her actual name ((as her actual name is a tie to her family... who she isn't fond of... but for reasons that are kinda normal etc...Nothing to discuss in a background anyway.)) Favourite Fire Emblem Game: This is a question is one I cannot properly answer. I have only just started playing the series and have such... only have played part of one game. Until I play at least 3 or 4 I wouldn't even deem one a favourite lol. I am currently working on Sacred Stones and am pretty sure I am nearly done with the first run-trough. I hope to get a hold of the others and play them though. ((seriously though... Pegasus Knights... best units ever...*fanboys mad hard.*))
krim
Name: Nemir "Blackthorn" Asmodean Age: 33 Class: Mercenary Appearance: A tall man, 6'2 with long black hair. He has red eye(s) but keeps a black patch over the right one. His attire consists of a black jacket and black pants, with a dark purple shirt underneath, as well as a swordbelt inscribed with a black spear that he always wears. Backstory: Unsure of where exactly he came from, Nemir woke up one day, on the shores of Erzaway. Soon he made his way to the nearest city, but when he arrived, he discovered that they would not provide him work. With all of his education, a man with one eye would scare away business- especially in a country where trade was so integral. He did however discover that they had a problem: Pirates were taking their merchant ships. Turned off of any other job, he decided to become a mercenary, and soon he was hired by a merchant ship to protect it from pirate attacks. One night though....a storm hit. He was the only survivor, and lost at sea, he was rescued by none other than the pirates he was supposed to protect the ship from. These pirates were the most infamous.....known as the Blackthorn Brigands. However, instead of killing him, because he could fight, as well as read and write, Nemir was more respected by these pirates than by the people of Erzaway, and he lived among them for years. Capturing ships and stealing their valuables, Nemir and the Blackthorns lived off of what they could take at sea, but one night, everything changed. Landing back in Erzaway Nemir dropped off his stolen goods to his client, and received payment. Upon returning to the ship, a slaughter had begun. It was the pirates against a strange group of soliders, who Nemir later learned were commanded by the Mad King. In a rage, he cut down every soldier he could.....but he was too late. His friends, the only ones he cared for, were dead. With his last breaths, the captain said "Nemir....Stormblessed. Take my axe and my name. Kill the scurvy dog who did this!" and so Nemir set out for revenge. He continued his pirating ways, sailing and taking what was needed, but also killing any of those soldiers that he came into contact with. Additional Details: Sometimes stares off like he hears a voice that only he can hear. (The voice will be done in red text when he is in his thoughts), he owns an axe, but never uses it. Can navigate waters and captain a ship with ease. Raindrop Valkyrie
Question tho... It cool if some characters know each other from before the opening of the story? I am just asking because I feel while I wouldn't want it to get overboard, It would be nice to have someone Drake is friends with already as a way to bounce off a particular character lol. Aurorix
Name: Yuri Lenn Age: 20 Class: Thief Appearance: Long plum colored hair with a dark purple (almost black) long sleeve shirt with a white crescent design as well as a black, sleeveless jacket. Same color pants as the shirt and white and a cinder block gray leather boots. 5,11 Basing him off this Backstory: When Yuri was 14 years of age he and his family were heading back to their home city in Kingdom of Annea by horse cart. On their way there, they were assaulted by some Onishian soldiers. Yuri was able to escape from them though his parents weren't as lucky. He was only able to bring one of his mother's golden bangles and one of his father's spare blade. At a loss for money and no intention of selling the only memories he has from his parents he took a life of crime and use thievery to acquire his basic needs. Then at the age of 16 he heard about a traveling Mercenary who had become quite well know as 'The Drake's Knuckle' as well as finding out about the war against the Onishian Empire. He then made it his goal to find and train with this woman so he could be strong enough to fight in the army. Once they met he convinced her to let him follow her and train her and 4 years later he applied for the army with his Mercenary mentor tagging along for fun Additional Details: He wears a gold bangle on his left had that belonged to his mother and gives him motivation for fighting. Also he doesn't strap his sword to his waist, instead he holds it by the ribbons used to tie to the waist. Commander
Question tho... It cool if some characters know each other from before the opening of the story? I am just asking because I feel while I wouldn't want it to get overboard, It would be nice to have someone Drake is friends with already as a way to bounce off a particular character lol. Yes, that's perfectly fine. Even in the games, characters do know other characters and sometimes there is a group you start out with ie Shepards, Dawn Brigade, Greil Mercenaries. If anything raises a red flag, I'll either post something here or in a PM. Edit: @Kosher: I have a bit of an issue with the armor being made of gold and silver. In this RP, only superior knights/third tier classes have access to them. If she is of nobility, she can have strips of gold and silver on her armor to show her wealth, but the armor is made of steel.
Raindrop Valkyrie
Indeed, that is the main reason I asked. ((also, some hosts aren't overly fond of characters knowing each other prior.)) Raindrop Valkyrie
Makes sense to an extent. Probably could have started off in the same merc group and just became friends. That or she somehow ended up in his village since she tends to wander about. Given his age, it is probably like a little brother, big sister type deal, where she is looking out for him all the time making sure he doesn't get into trouble. Warning... if he doesn't have a nickname of some sort.... Drake will probably make one up for him at some point just a heads up lol. ((can be hashed out via pm if you are onboard.)) I should say though Link... be careful with the amounts of Sue in your background... this dude has lost a lot of people... and it verges on a bit ridiculous. ((Like kinda close... not going to be all like CHANGE IT NOWSSSS. It isn't super bad, just be mindful that a 16 year old losing his biological family, and basically a second family doesn't happen often.))

Guzam
We don't seem to have any distance attackers or healers yet. Which means I shall pick a head on attacker Name: Holland The Brutal Age: 27 Class: Fighter Appearance: Shortly cut, brown hair. Wouldn't need it distracting him in battles. Has brass knuckles for close up fights, but prefers his nice shiny axe. Wears a light chestpiece that doesn't offer much defense, but his natural build makes up for it. Tall and Muscular, Holland should not be trifled with, unless you have a death wish. Small legpieces that allow him to move quicker, but aren't too useful for blocking attacks. Backstory: Holland was a living failure. He had a family he couldn't support, lived in a small cottage and wasn't smart enough to get any job in the village. Then one day, he came across a band of fighters in the woods, watching two men fight for their very lives in the ring. All the fighters watching were placing bets and calling out who would die. He asked them if they knew this was illegal. The fighters turned to him and saw his muscular build. They convinced him to fight in the ring, saying he'd win plenty of cash, enough to support his family for years. All he had to do was hit the other guy hard enough. Soon, Holland rose through the ranks of an illegal fighting squad, and became well-known for showing no mercy to those who got in his way. When the mad king found out about this seemingly unstoppable man, he recruited him saying, "I can give you enough money to support 20, no 200 families. All you have to do, is stand by my side." Holland joined the Mad Kings army. However, for once, Holland was no longer the strongest. He had been bested by one of the armies captains, and would've died in the ring if he were to fight the general. He was no longer happy with what he did and fell into a deep depression, wondering if what he was doing was right. On a fateful mission that would decide whether the mad king would win a piece of the annean land. Holland was late for the arrival of the mission. When he finally got there, he realized it was his own hometown being destroyed. He rushed in to try and save his family from their burning cottage. He was too late. His wife and two children had just been murdered by the captain himself. As the captain laughed, Holland picked up a small hand axe from the burning remains of an armory and threw it at his own captain, decapitating him. From that day onward, Holland would be forever known as a brutal and traitorous man, for turning on his own army and killing a top ranking captain in the army. He was given the title "Holland the Brutal" and would dedicate his life to killing the Mad King and pinning his head on his new homes wall. Additional Details: Holland is emotionally unstable. His family should not be brought up around him, unless you want your head on his wall. He has a small pendant from his wife, given to him before he joined the Mad Kings army. He is still unaware of its true potential, use, and power. Favorite Fire Emblem Game: Tie between Sacred Stones and Awakening. Sacred Stones was my first (loved it) but Fire Emblem Awakening is just fun to play (Except Lunatic mode, you can go die you piece of trash >:I) Edit: Replace "Mad King" with General Zagan, and say he recruits him to fight by the Onishian's side. Commander
@Exlink: Even though Onisha has a Mad King, it's very unlikely they'll kill their own people though the Military is a bit of a mixed pool when it comes to leaders. Many of the high ranking officers are quite respectable with their men often following the same foot. Many of the lower ranking ones are nasty with some of them very questionable. @Pyrr: The mad king wouldn't be the one to recruit you. In fact, only higher ranking generals have ever met him. Recruiting is done by certain generals and their subordinates. Likely, General Zagan was the one who recruited you as he tends to look for a person's strength over their background. As for the colosseum, I could see Zagan allowing something like that going on to find recruits and probably would fund it.

The only exception is when the team is facing off against a boss, then you'll have to wait until they're finished.
