Drake took advantage of The General's charge striking at his back as he passed with a wicked lunge he couldn't stop. She bore down hard on him, hoping the armour at the back was weaker and she could get a good hit on him before going back on the defensive. It was probably hopeless, but this strike would determine how she would handle the situation.

"You two, deal with the fire Mage, I've got the Lance man." Yuri told his teammates. Looks like a bit of Drake's leader skills rubbed off on him during the years. 'I hope this works.' Yuri thought to himself as he took the knife in his hand, aimed and threw it at the Lancer from a range aiming for the top part of the leg. Then taking a spare dagger from his belt immediately after.

"Whoops... sorry about that." Komorrin replied to Holland, feeling a bit relieved that he hadn't hit the fighter. He wasn't expecting Holland to circle around the other two as well. He then watched as the axe wielder disappeared in a bright light and then reappeared over by Kelsey and Lucia. "A Rescue staff?" Komorrin thought to himself. "Well then... that definitely changes things..." He turned his attention back to Drake and the armored enemy and prepared another attack. "I've got to be more careful this time." He said to himself. He decided to wait for Drake to put some distance between herself and the general before launching another attack.

Nodding to Yuri he inspected the mage thoroughly. The man was shorter than him, and holding the tome loosely in front of him. "Zach......aim for his head, but don't shoot until I say. I have an idea." He said. Then, he darted toward the mage and upon reaching him made a swift cut, low across his leg. Hoping that he would stumble, Nemir dropped into a crouch and yelled "Fire!"

Yuri's knife nailed the Soldier right in the leg. While he could feel the pain, he wasn't going to let it stop him. He hopped closer and closer to the Thief, but inevitably, he knew he couldn't win. He readied his lance throwing it right at the thief. Unfortunately for him, the lance was too heavy and just flopped to the ground a few feet away from Yuri. Completely unarmed, he turned and tried hopping away. He was easy picking should the thief want to kill him.

((The soldier is as good as dead so you are free to control him))

"You son of a bitch," cried out the mage when the sword cut into his ankle. While the pain was unbearable, he managed to keep standing, he readied a fireball at the mercenary when he saw the archer readying his bow. Instead, he fired it right at the archer. Zach quickly shot the arrow while diving out of the way from the incoming fire spell. Unfortunately, his usual great aim missed the man by a few inches.

The mage laughed for a second at the failed attack while his book began to glow. He turned back to the mercenary. "Now time for you to burn in hell for what you did." Another fire ball appeared in front of him. If Nemir wasn't quick, he'd be toast.

Huk

Like the bronze axe from before, the sword just simply bounced off of the General's armor not even scratching it. The General still couldn't stop the running as he approached a hill. He spattered foul words at the group as he gained momentum. Then his biggest fear came true. As he was moving, he felt a chink on one of his armor boots followed by an up close view of the grass down below.

The General slammed into the ground twice before rolling to the ground. When he finally stopped moving, he could see the sky above. Trying the best he could, he tossed and turned trying to get to his feet, but the armor was far too heavy for such actions. He had to think of something soon. He turned his noticing his steel lance was close. Awkwardly moving his arms and legs, he slowly started making his way toward the weapon.

Everybody Else

Off in the distance, two men on horses could be seen crossing the bridge. They dismounted their units and lined themselves up with the other man. Nearby, a small army of around 30 was making its way towards the city. Two Generals who looked stronger than the one the group was facing were leading this little army. A couple of Mercenaries among the army noticed the small group pointing towards them. A Halberdier behind the first Mercanary shoved him with his lance ordering them to keep moving forward. They reluctantly followed these orders keeping in formation.

Drake being the closest kicked the Steel Lance from the General's grasp. It would be surely some time until he could get up again and know he wouldn't have the Spear for leverage.. "Now is our chance! Let's get out of here, into town! We must meet with the other forces. Let's go!!!" Drake shouted to the group.

Holland looked at the fallen general on the ground as Drake had kicked his lance away. Holland started to move towards the town along with the unit. Before he got too far, he turned around and looked at the general. "There will be more dirtnaps for you like this in the future." Holland continued to move forward, catching up to his unit.

Yuri chased after the wounded man after he missed with his spear. He quickly caught up to him and touched the edge of his knife to the man's neck. "I'll make this quick" Yuri said to the scared man and he slit his throat. With the man now dead, on his side, he retrieved the knife that was lodged in the dead man's leg and placing the one used to kill him back on his belt. He turned around to see Nemir being threatened by a Fire ball from the mage. 'I leave them for one second' He thought to himself annoyed as he began to try and make his way back to the group. Though he was too far to help due to the now dead man's hopping away, putting too much distance for even a throw of a dagger to reach.

Chaust rushed after Drake and the others towards the town. He'd been looking for an opening to attack the general, but it seemed as though the others had that covered. Either way, they would need his help if they were going to have any chance to defend the burning battlefield of a town. He drew his new sword and rushed into battle with his new allies.

"I suppose that's the end of this fight, then." Komorrin said as he watched the general struggle. He had started to move toward the rest of the group when he noticed Karl's corpse laying on the ground. He walked over to the lifeless body and kneeled down next to it, feeling responsible for what had happened to the dwarf. Komorrin struggled to find his last words to the little guy, realizing that these were also his only words to him, which only made Komorrin feel even worse. "I'm..." The mage let out a sigh as he tried to speak. "I'm sorry that this happened to you. I barely even knew you, but I can bet that your heart was in the right place when you first signed up for this. You would've been a fine warrior and a great asset to this team if you were given the chance." He stood up and adjusted his glasses while he kept his gaze on the corpse. "May the gods find a place for you in the heavens above." Having nothing else to say to his fallen comrade, he glared at the general before catching up with his group, the regret still showing on his face.

"Aye matey, but you'll be going first." Nemir thought. Agiley, he got up and made a move as if to knock away the mages tome with his sword, but instead of doing so, changed angles and made several quick cuts across the mans chest. Then he dropped back down into a crouch, ready to move if Zach couldn't feather him in time.

The mage felt the sword slash across his body causing him to take a few steps back right in front of a house. His sight started to get a bit blury, but he couldn't help but laugh seeing the man crouch down to the ground again. "You think you're so smart crouching down like that." He opened his book chanting something. The book suddenly glowed much brighter compared to when he used the Fire spell.

With the last of his strength, he tossed the book into the house before falling to the ground. "These deaths...are on you." After his final words, he gave a light chuckle as the house went up in flames. A few screams could be heard before for a second before everything quieted down.

Meanwhile, Zach was distracted as he though he saw something running down the alleyway. He couldn't quite make it out, but he knew the person was wearing a red hat which could only mean trouble. "Hey, I think I saw something over here. Mind if we take a look?"

Yuri cringed when the mage lit the house ablaze killing the people in it, "You bastard, those we're innocent people!" Yuri shouted angrily, "If I was only a little faster I've saved them." He said to himself clenching hist fist. Then Zach spoke up, telling them about a thing he saw. Maybe it was a survivor of the house, they could go protect them. "Yea, lets take a look. Nemir I suggest you take point and me and Zach will follow from behind. Since Zach and I both have a ranged weapons we'll be able to provide support just in case we run into more Onishian soldiers." Yuri responded calming down from the rage he had from before.

"More innocent people.....dead...." Nemir thought as he heard the screams. "I couldn't do anything to save them....my crew...these people....the only thing left for me to do is keep fighting. For their sakes." Driving those thoughts from his head, he readied his blade and took the lead, making his way over to where Zach had pointed.

Lucia followed Drake's command, she knew that it was almost hopeless with just one enemy so it really was best to run. She stayed behind Kelsey as they ran with Drake. "This will be rather interesting. I'm glad I chose to join the army."

Zach led the others through the alleyway and into a bigger street. Before anyone could make a move, a fireball was shot over their heads and into the one of the building causing the alley to collapse. Zach didn't bother looking back. His eyes were focused on the caster who wore similar garbs to the fire mage before. The man wasn't alone as four others, two mercenaries, a soldier, and a fighter, stood in front guarding him. "We're outnumbered!" Even though he wanted to run, there was nowhere to go. It seemed they had no choice but to take on the group.

"Oi! There they are!" A hefty looking man with a brown beard wielding a bronze axe came charging in from the north. Shortly behind him came a black haired man holding a bronze lance and a rather tall purple haired man wielding a bronze sword. The axe wielding man then noticed Zach and the party. "You guys can fight. Good. Let's get 'em." The three then charged toward the mage and his men.

Zach watched as the fire mage began chanting a spell as the book suddenly began to glow. This gave him an idea and quickly turned his head a bit to talk with his comrades. "You two, keep the soldiers busy. I have an idea of how to stop our mage friend over there."

Everyone Else

As soon as the group got very close to the bridge, a battle began to break out. The two generals charged towards the trio of soldiers. Heizen easily dodge the incoming lance and pierced the man's armor with his own lance watching as he fell to the ground. Virgil, on the other hand, had a grin on his face as the General came at him with full force. The lance simply just bounced right off his armor.

"My turn!" yelled Virgil. He raised the Silver Sword up into the sky as the red gen began to glow. Suddenly a yellow aura began to surround the Annean general as he swung his sword at the heavy armored foe. Not only did the sword cut through the armor like paper, but it sent him flying a few feet back on top of a couple of enemies. This gave Virgil the opportunity to run right into the middle of the enemy army. He was so confident, he did even budge when one of the enemy swordfighters tried cutting through his exposed sword arm. Not only did it stop upon reaching his skin, but it didn't even draw blood. Virgil simply laughed as he impaled the man watching him die on the ground. "So, who's next?"

Some of the weaker units became very intimidated seeing no hopes of even scratching him. The two Mercenaries from before noticed the group from before was closer and charged towards them. Shortly behind them was a fighter, a soldier, and an archer ready to pick off these weaklings.

After the mage had cornered them in he got into a ready stance, seeing as how they're out numbered it was likely one of them would die. Yuri then noticed three other men who were proceeding to help them and he couldn't complain. He hoped the diversion of the three men would steel the attention of the spear soldier and threw the knife in his hands at the man. "I hope you know what you're doing Zach." Yuri said then quickly drawing another dagger from his belt and waited for Nemir to make his move.

Komorrin quickly spotted the group of enemies that turned their attention toward his unit. "We've got five of them coming right at us!" He yelled to his teammates as he started to examine their combatants. Holland could probably take care of their lance-wielding soldier if he had a good enough cover from the rest of the group. However, therein lies the problem: while most of the enemy group consisted of close range fighters, the archer would prove the bigger threat if left unchecked and the entire enemy team would be all over any close ranged fighter who dared try to attack their archer. While Komorrin knew that he was the only one that could solve the problem since he can also attack from afar, he also knew that he wouldn't be fast enough to fall back before the enemy caught up to him. He began to come up with a plan that would resolve the problem without any casualties. Komorrin turned to Kelsey. "Kelsey!" The mage called out. "I've got a plan, but I need your help. That archer's going to be a big problem if we don't do something. I can probably take him out, but after that, I'm going to need a Rescue... if you catch my drift. You think you can handle it?"

"So long as the frontline is occupied it should be easier for you to take out that archer Ko. Holland, on the Solider when he arrives be careful though don;t get tied up with those mercenaries. But, you break that damn spear, you hear me?! We will crush that fighter when he arrives. Everyone engage these Mercenaries! Hopefully we can outmaneuver them and get them out of the way before their back-up gets here." Drake said confidently to her troops. These foes would be short work. By the way they passed up the main bulk she knew that they had an advantage from the get-go. They were most definitely in-experienced to a degree. Surely, they would know numbers would be good even if they were only distracting the main forces of their enemy, even if they weren't making an impact themselves. Drake had lead troops, she knew what to do. And Drake's force also had a healer to replenish the health of those under her. Any wounds could be done away with. This was a key advantage they had over the approaching foes.

"I'm on it!" Holland examined his situation. His goal was to get to the soldier and break him in two. He had to watch out for those mercenaries however. If he got too close to them, he may be sliced to pieces. Holland would need some cover in order to go in for the kill. "Aight! Someone get on those mercenaries and cover me. As soon as I bash this scum's head in, I'll try to assist as best as possible!" Holland started to move towards the soldier hoping his unit would keep him safe.

"Gotcha ya covered!" yelled Chaust to Holland. He'd try his best to keep the two of them occupied while the big guy did his thing. He rushed past Holland, sword drawn, keeping a watchful eye on his surroundings just in case the Archer tried to take a potshot at him. He stopped in front of both of the mercenaries, ready for a fight.

'Two on one? That's hardly fair. Eh, whatever, I just need to hold 'em off till that Holland fella takes care of business. Shouldn't be too bad, right?' the young myrmidon thought to himself as the mercenaries drew their swords.

"Well, that was unexpected. Hopefully it's enough." Nemir thought as newcomers appeared to offer aid. "I'll take the fighter." he said. Being careful to avoid the soldier, he ran towards the axe-wielder and made a cut from the side at the mans stomach.

Drake rushed in behind to take on the other mercenary. Finally... she thought to herself. She hadn't had a real battle in awhile and certainly not one where she could slaughter someone. She enjoyed killing, so long as the bastard deserved it. However, as a Mercenary you don't always have the luxury of fighting those that are always in the wrong. Things were much more grey. Hell, even now it was hard to tell. She always found it strange that she wanted to protect life... but end it all the same. But now wasn't the time for pensive thinking, it was time for action.

She rushed in, her greatsword still slung over her shoulder. Her face went from the calm level-headed expression she had when she was leading them, to something different. It became more primal. It was the very reason they called her the Drake's Knuckle. She moved with feral strength, but it was contained by just enough precision to not be wild and uncontrolled. She went for one of the mercenaries, hoping to strike before he was ready to receive a blow.

Komorrin waited for the enemies to be occupied with his unit (excluding Lucia and Kelsey) and turned back to the priest. "Just keep your staff ready in case something happens." The mage said to Kelsey before he started to turned his attention to the enemy group. Before he did, however, he thought of something and turned to Lucia. "Oh, right... sorry Lucia, but with me being occupied with that archer, I'm not going to be able to keep an eye out for anyone else, so until this is taken care of, you will have to be the one to watch out for the enemy. Once again, I apologize for putting this on you, but someone has to do it." With that being said, he waited a couple of seconds before running into the fray himself. With the other enemies now distracted, he was now free to attack the archer without any worries.

As Drake engaged the other mercenary, Chaust took this opportunity to attack the other as fast as he could, hoping to catch him off guard from witnessing the tall woman's overwhelming force. He took his new sword from his side, stepped in close and made a wide horizontal slash right above his targets waist, hoping to deal a swift and critical blow to the man before he could react.
