Right, so, thanks for that, I'm not gonna change anything because going over a bunch more tests is gonna make this take like three times as long. I am going to have her test reflexes, I was just covering the stuff Arya needed to reply to first... Also I actually thought I had had Kim ask about dizziness/confusion so if I didn't that was just a general derp on my part that I'm too lazy to fix right now

There we are.

I've done my part now.

EDIT: and in regards to the check up thing- I'd like to point out the fact that it's kinda unlikely that a typical school nurse would have experience and or training with dealing with nervous system checks in the proper manner and through proper procedure... ergo, it would kinda make sense that exuberance would just have to wing it based on common sense and whatever medical training she might actually have already.

Nurses are...well, nurses, afterall, not full fledged doctors. Their assistants to the folks who are doing the serious procedures and such, not the ones doing them themselves.

and even still, I mean, c'mon, really? even in a magical girls setting, would school age girls be struck with lightning/ suffer other injuries that can damage the nervous system freqeuntly enough that it would warrant a school nurse needing to have training in the treatment of such?

it honestly sounds kinda like a stretch to me if so, but eh, that's just me... and we all know I'm the guy who's still deeply out of his element around here. XD

EDIT2: Oh, and... even if I'm wrong and nurse training does go that far and covers that particular topic and procedure, this is lexi's world, so...yeah.

there's really not much use to being pedantic in this setting.

And I'm honestly surprised I'm actually sticking up for the setting at all...I must've gotten really attached to ol Arya

Lol, you have a point Strat. Exuberance has likely never dealt with electrocution before, at least not on this magnitude. Still, I probs should've been less lazy and actually looked some stuff up instead of just winging it myself

In my writing I use the convenience of first person and abuse my characters ignorance on a matter to skip a lot of details. It works out pretty well because it makes the MC feel a little more real to me.

Not exactly an option here of course, being in third person,, but there you go.

Right, so there's a good chance I'll post tomorrow. But in the meantime I have a question about the next scene

My original intent was to have the partners settle into their rooms. Thus establishing a sense of normality and allowing them to sort out exactly what their relationships would be. But due to how slow things have been going (which is my fault, sorry once more >_<) I was thinking it might be better to just skip ahead to when things kick into gear. It'll make the RP feel bumpier, but it'll also make it move faster

honestly, I think it may be better to just do the jump and try to pump some life back into things with a bit of action, considering the...long ass period of inactivity there was- kinda missed out on a lot of the time that could've been spent doing the whole establishment of normality thing (Like a literal two months... sorry to be blunt here, but it's true...)

Though at the end of the day it would probably be wiser to just get the group consensus and proceed from there rather than just take the advice of a few people without waiting for the others to vote. so yeah, there's that...

It really doesn't matter too much to me personally though. I'm fine with either one that's chosen

I'm personally fine with either so it's up to you~

Please don't say that >_<

But yeah, Strat, you basically just laid out my entire thought process right there. If I hadn't been so slow this would be a lot smoother, but because I was there's now a question of whether to make cuts or try to continue as planned

Okay, post made, time to move on

Here's what's gonna happen. There's gonna be an abbreviated version of my original plan. I'm going to make three posts. The first will introduce the scenario, the second will reply to any of the NPCs roommates, and the third will move us into the main part of the RP. Those of you who are not roommates with any NPCs may do as you please between the first and second posts. After the second post you need to finish up your interaction and prepare for the third

Those of you who are rooming with an NPC (Which I think is only Arya and Rein at this point since Mary's NPC-ified) will only get a chance to make two posts: one responding to the scenario and one responding to my second post and finishing out the interaction

I intend to make these posts no more than two days apart (so if the first is on the current Thursday*, which I'm hoping it will be but Friday is more likely, then the second will be on Saturday) so barring fatal injury or heat stroke that's your timeframe to make posts

And with that, be on the lookout for ANKL, Chapter II: Touching Oblivion. Coming to an RP forum near you Soon

*And yes, am I saying Ima try to make two posts in one day

Alrighty, so, I had weird sleep last night. As such I am only just now beginning my post (I tend to work on large posts across several hours) Should be out shortly after I eat dinner (I'm not gonna tell you when that is so you aren't disappointed when I'm inevitably late :P)

EDIT: Turns out I was early, lol

So, uh, was anyone else gonna post or shall I just continue onward?

It's not required or anything, posts are only required in response to my third post. But there were a few people who said they really wanted to get back into this RP and I don't want to just cut them off

Keep in mind... non-linear things are completely fine. A scene happening before something in the main story isn't unheard of in other media hell, TV shows do it a lot where they flash back to a moment to show something between two other characters. This could be such a moment. Something that happened the previous night before the update lol. It happens and is known to happen XD.

It's really ht way we can have a little interaction without it impacting too much lol. You just move ahead with it and bring it to the point when necessary. I'm actually going to start trying to sue it a little more in RPs I do or allow people to go back and take a slice of something to better define the relationships between their character and another as long as they specify it was in the past. That way... players can show they reactions towards another character wiothu bogging down the story. Maybe like in the eventual Graterras reboot show a thing at camp the previous day while the main story is happening at the same time.

It's totally something to consider, though if you'd like us to axe it, I don't have qualms with that.

Yes, nonlinear interactions are a thing, I've been using them since the beginning or my RP experiences. But in this case they need to not be due to plot things. I wouldn't have mentioned it if I didn't have good reason for it to change

k, juuuuuust making sure. I don't see why... but not the host so yea XD. It'd be easy enough to jsut hope it to morning, but would rather murdoc change it up first so I can properly "react" so to speak lol. ((since mine comes later chronologically.))
