What starter should i use?

So my save file got corrupted and deleted itself so what starter should I use on my next run of the game?

Protean Frokie/Frogadier/Greninja

If you can handle using water pulse until late game and are willing to use TMs then this should be fine '3'

It depends on how difficult you choose your early game to be, in my opinion.

I'll quote from the "What starter should I choose?" thread.

Alright I'll post it in modes

Easy mode: Charizard, Blaziken, Infernape, Empoleon, Torterra, Greninja

Normal mode: Venusaur, Typhlosion, Feraligatr, Swampert, Sceptile, Emboar, Chesnaught

Hard mode: Blastoise, Serperior, Samurott, Delphox

Impossible mode: Meganium

I would say the two best starters are greninja and blaziken.

I started with Chimchar and it made the game easier (especially Noel, the little bastard). But he's not even the star of my party now so it's really about what's best for early game.

I'm running with Greninja and he saved my ass too many times so far. Piplup is always an easy cute one though

Delphox is fun, Blaziken is OP, Greninja if You like to stomp sh*t out of enemies. But I tried Samurott line once and it was pretty good early, even on grass gym.

I have to say Swampert. It has Damp and a brave nature with Hammer Arm, Earthquake, Muddy Water(will be replaced with surf later on) and Rockslide. Pretty good coverage except against of course, grass types.

All natural moves, eating up pretty much every attack. It really is the star of my party.

Although you can get a Mudkip later in the game after the 7th gym,

Tepig is available after the 5th

Chikorita is available right before the 5th

And Piplup after the 8th.

Anyways, froakie and torchic are OP, but this is a game to have fun, so I'd recommend starting with your favourite starter and try to do your best.

Ah, no, you get Surf before Waterfall. We've only just gotten Waterfall in this latest episode.

(...Unless you mean via Goldeen/Seaking in which case, I must concede. Not that you can pass that along with Gen VI breeding mechanics anyway.)

I agree with this. The others are also correct. Blaziken seems like the best choice, especially if you get a speed boost one lol. Might make the game easier. Or, Charizard. I used an HA Charizard and it works out pretty well, most of the time.
