Sevonic
A loud (very loud), clearly audible rumbling sound erupted from Vivienne's belly. She dropped to the floor and start laughing hysterically. Finally, she was showing her "true colors." What was so funny about it? She didn't know. But Vivenne wanted to liven things up a bit for those showing a pessimistic attitude. Edited February 16, 2015 by Sevonic
Sutoratosu
"I think it's right about now, actually," Arya said, stowing her sketch pad and pen in her bag before pushing her chair in. She glanced down at Vivienne on the floor. "Come on; the less time we spend here- the less time we have to wait in line to get our food." with that said she began to follow the trough of students beginning to leave; expecting her partner to take her advice and follow. Sevonic
Vivienne hopped right up and nodded. "Alrighty then, let's go."
Commander
While most of students were mingling, a black haired girl stood idly leaning against a nearby occasionally fixing her glasses whenever the decided to tilt. The girl was in deep in thought thinking of who knows what when something hit her. Every seems so focused on finding a partner, but I'll settle with whoever is left...unless there isn't anybody left. Crap! I hope I'm not too late. Nina began twisting her head back and forth trying to find some lonely girl, but failed to notice even one. "Sigh...maybe something will turn up during lunch." Raindrop Valkyrie
"You should go on ahead Arturia, I don't really fit out the doors around here so well, so I typically wait for everyone to funnel out before I get going." Emberly said. "Besides, I'll find you again, you can guarantee it. Mostly cause well... tall. I can find people pretty easy from up here." she said giving her a thumbs up. She didn't want to be trouble for Arturia already, but it was hard enough not slamming her head against the doorframe when she was walking into a room herself, but when every girl and her sister were trying to shove through the door? That was just a nightmare. People wanted to get places, they wouldn't make a wide-berth like they did in the hallway. Emberly would rather not shove through a bunch of people. Not because she couldn't, but because she couldn't be bothered to. So, as always she just waited until everyone else got out the door.
Chevaleresse
Arturia nodded. "See you there, then." She gave a smile in return to Emberly's thumbs-up, but inwardly she was still irritated. Who was that girl, and what was her issue? She had gotten a decent look at the other girl when she randomly decided to shout insults at her from across the room, so Arturia went to find out. Weaving through the crowd, she made her way toward a familiar green-haired head. She called out, loud enough to be heard over the general noise but not enough for the entire room to be deafened. "Do you have some sort of problem with me?"
Sevonic
"Do you have some sort of problem with me?"Vivienne knew this wasn't a question. Of COURSE she didn't have a problem with Arturia, but she was aware of her mood and couldn't convince her otherwise. Intimidated by this foul mood, Vivienne took a step back and huddled somewhat close to Arya.
Sutoratosu
Of course...well not like she doesn't deserve it with what she said, she might be sorry, but this girl here doesn't know that...but I can't just leave her to drown in a mistake though... "Please, forgive my friend here for what she said earlier," She said expertly, trying to appease the stranger's anger... all while casting an unreadable glance at her partner next to her. "Sometimes she let's her temper get the better of her and... well, she says things she often doesn't mean and doesn't really realize how they might hurt others until afterwards... in fact, she had something she wanted to say to you..." Her glance intensified just the slightest bit, those misty, cobalt eyes giving Vivienne the obvious cue to open her mouth and apologize for the hate she'd gone and spouted not long ago. Please, just take the hint, don't mess this up just when I'm trying to help you out of it...
Raindrop Valkyrie
Emberly just watched the situation unfold, she had no stake in it. 3 Girls she didn't know? Even if one asked to be her partner, she still didn't know her yet. Unless something got ugly, she wasn't going to spend the effort to do anything. Emberly was not one to make conflict where there didn't need to be any. If she wasn't involved, no need to become involved unless someone had serious risk of being hurt. And this small caveat was only because one of them asked to be her partner. As with earlier, she hadn't even thought to lift a finger to help that girl that got kicked over a bunch. It wasn't her problem, and she should have fought back or just solved the issue. It was not Emberly's problem she did neither. Arturia was the only reason that was even slightly considered right now. If she was in super trouble, Emberly would help out. However, she didn't see that coming to pass, and as such waited for the rest of the class to file out still. Sevonic
"Thank you. You're really...awesome." Vivienne looked at Arya and nodded. Now, as for Arturia. What was Vivienne going to do about her mistake? If she apologied, Arturia might not believe her. What if that only worsened the situation? What if she already ruined a potential friendship? These questions ripped her heart apart, yet she couldn't quit asking herself them. However, it was worth the risk. She absolutely HAD to apologize, or this would be on her mind for a long time. "Look, I'm sorry, and I mean it."
Chevaleresse
"Okay... Still don't get why you felt the need to do it, though. I don't know you." Arturia's expression had softened to one of mostly confusion, rather than anger. She was still miffed, yes, but mostly just wanted to know what had painted a target on her head - not that she wasn't used to it.
Sutoratosu
Arya gave another subtle glance to the girl, another cue, this one to explain what had happened... while sure, she could've stepped in for her and done it, how much more would it mean, how much more genuine would it be, if Vivienne stepped up and explained instead of having a friend save her from it? It's always better to hear from the source than through the vine...
Sevonic
"Aaaaanyways....we should go stuff our faces! Aren't we all starving?" Vivienne grabbed Arya's hand and made her way out the room.
Sutoratosu
"Hey, wait, what are you...?" Arya just sighed as the green haired girl dragged her away, completely missing the subtle suggestion she'd been gunning for. She cast a single look back at the girl who'd been randomly insulted, deciding that she deserved at least some explanation...it was honestly kidna crappy to just leave her there hanging. "IT wasn't anything against you, specifically," She called, straining herself to be loud enough over the commotion of the other students as they rushed out. "She was just so mad that she hauled off against the first person she laid eyes on, didn't really give any thought about who it was..." she hoped the girl had heard her... but she honestly doubted it. Chevaleresse
Arturia shook her head and walked back over to Emberly. "Well, that was productive," she said with a note of sarcasm. She then started back out of the door and to lunch, gesturing lightly for the other girl to follow. "Wonder what they're serving?"
Raindrop Valkyrie
"Eh, I am sure she was just freaking out, people do that sometimes. Why? No clue." Emberly said shrugging. She followed Arturia making sure to not smash her head against the doorframe as she walked out of the room. "As to what they are serving, no idea. Hopefully it is nice and hearty though. I enjoy good food. You would hope school food wouldn't be completely horrible so not getting my hopes up yes."
Sevonic
"So wait, where are we even going?" Vivienne paused. "I don't know anything as far as the layout of the school goes." She turned around to face Arya and tilted her head.
Sutoratosu
"Just follow everyone else, Vivienne..." Arya sighed, still a bit disappointed at her partner's skittish behavior back there in the room. "The herd knows... and it never starves..." Sevonic
Vivienne let go of Arya's hand and followed the crowd. She could sense unease in Arya, and she felt an awkward aura surrounding her and her "partner." I have to break the ice, or she'll not choose me as a partner. "So, what do you think of this place?" Sutoratosu
"It's nice enough, I guess," Arya said, a look of disinterest on her face. "Except when the claws come out and everything, but still better than my old school in that regard..." She shrugged. "Though, I've honestly never seen battle lines drawn so quickly on the first day... makes me wonder what the rest of the year might be like..." Sevonic
"Tell me about it." Vivi made a strange face before speaking once more. "...I was so annoyed with people's attitudes, I ended up getting angry enough to the point where I was engaging in fights myself." She wondered why everyone was so upset on the first day. The school wasn't that bad, was it? Vivienne didn't expect her first day to be ruined by such a... strange event. "I'm really sorry I made things bad for you. I don't know what went through my head when I thought it was okay to take my anger out on others." She looked at the ground and sighed hopelessly. "Damn it." Sutoratosu
"Hey, come on, it's fine," Arya insisted, glancing over as they walked and acting on natural impulse to cheer the girl up. "It's not like you're the one who got the hate flying to start with back there, after all... you just kinda... got swept up with the current while you were trying to stem the flow, that's all... though... you could've at least explain to that girl back there that you didn't have anything against her particularly when you said all that, that you just said it and didn't think..." She trailed off, shifting the weight of her bag on her shoulders a bit sheepishly... seems in her attempt to make things better, she'd gone and just poked right through to what about the girl was irking her... "Sorry, I didn't... mean to bring that up...but... you kinda just..." aw hell, probably too late... she should just stop herself now... "I'll just... be quiet now..." Shamitako
Sharp The dining hall was absolutely huge, that was the first thing Sharp noticed about it. It was also very, very white. At first she thought it was just the walls and furniture, but then she realized most of it was coming from the ceiling, which seemed to just be one massive light. Well, that's overkill. She thought, squinting a little. Not being one to waste time gawking, she walked briskly over to the buffet, her long dress trailing behind her. The lines were not long, there were so many that even if one began to lag girls would just move to another. Sharp grabbed some of everything: Steak, mashed potatoes, peas, and some kind of weird pink fruit juice. Not having made any friends yet, she plopped herself down in the middle of a group of three girls, all of them older than her by the looks of it. "Hey." She said to the girl across from her, driving her fork into the steak. "Hello, um, Sharp was it?" Said the brown-haired one. "Yup, and you're Lexi." Sharp replied through her steak. "How did you know my name?" "Oh, I know everyone's name. Unlike you, I was paying attention during roll call." Lexi was obviously off-put by Sharp's comment, possibly even taking it as a challenge. Yet for some reason she said nothing. "So, you gonna introduce me to your friends?" She added, tilting her head towards the blue and pink haired girls. "Oh, um, sure." Lexi said nervously, "The one next to me is Mary, and the one next to you is Riley." Okay, not challenged, just off-balance. Seems friendly enough... Sharp turned her head to the girl next to her, catching Riley in the act of analyzing her. Sharp held her stare for a moment, but--after adjusting her glasses--turned back to her food. The table grew deathly silent, it seemed almost as though the awkwardness was blocking out the clamor of the cafeteria around them. "You have really pretty eyes." Cut through the silence. "What?" Sharp said, looking up from her food and trying to catch who had said it. "Your eyes, they're a beautiful shade of red." This time Sharp caught the speaker, Riley. Sharp felt her cheeks turning color to match her eyes, "Th-thank you." Sharp was far from used to receiving compliments for her eyes. Other parts of her, sure, but her eyes were always a source of negative humor ever since they'd gained color. "Red eyes, you must be eeevil." Her older brother had teased. She was certainly glad to have him out of her life in second-stage school, she couldn't imagine a going through this drama with a bunch of unruly males running around in addition to the unruly females, or mostly, female. What was Nat thinking? She's never been the nicest, but that seemed way beyond normal. Unless... Was she showing off? Sharp would have to ask her cousin about that later. For now, she had a chance to befriend this Riley girl, and she wasn't going to let that slip through her fingers. A plan began forming in her mind. Sevonic
"I completely understand, don't worry about it!" Vivienne gave Arya a reassuring pat on the back and smiled. Upon entering the dining hall, Vivienne took a deep breath and looked around. Everything is going to be fine, right? I just hope something terrible won't happen that might ruin my relations with my new friend. She grabbed her tray and started taking food from the buffet. The food looked pretty tasty, but she wasn't sure if it tasted the same as it looked, so she started out with a small amount of everything. RubyHeart
Mary stared at Sharp as she sat down and started to talk with Lexi and Riley. There was something about her a bit more eye catching. Perhaps it was her amazing red eyes that Mary was a little jealous of, or just her Sharp hair. Though she was yet another stranger to Mary, it made her happy that another girl wanted to hang out with her and the two others. "Hey thar Sharp~ As Lexi said earlier my name is Mary, Mary Alexi~ And I have to agree with Riley, your eyes are very pretty, and that's not just because red is one of my favorite colours~ But hey, I'm glad you can join us here. The more the kin-- merrier after all!" Mary's face lit up in joy as she was speaking, she loves to meet new people, though she tries to be very careful about the things she says since she has a habit of speaking without thinking most of the time. To ease her own awkwardness of what she was about to say, she turned to Lexi to continue. "Right Lexi? It is always much fun to have people sit with us~" Though this was only her first day speaking with these people, she spoke as though she knew them for a while. After realizing this she thought to herself, "is it really okay for me to act so familiar with these three... We only just met.. and I think I'm starting to weird them out a tad bit. Oh well, I suppose it can't be helped..." Edited February 17, 2015 by RubyHeart
