UU Pokemon Showcase!

(I apologize for my lateness. When you're involved in as many things as I am you're lucky to have time to even do homework.)

ENOUGH EXCUSES!!!

Donphan

Don Quixote (Donphan) @ Assault Vest or Leftovers

Ability: Sturdy

EVs: 172 HP / 252 Atk / 84 Spe

Adamant Nature

- Rapid Spin/Endeavor

- Earthquake

- Knock Off/Stealth Rock

- Ice Shard

This is Donphan's standard and in my opinion most effective set. I kind of lumped two together but the components are interchangable to suit your needs. It combines a healthy balance of offense and defense and Sturdy ensures it a chance to use a move. Donphan can set up rocks and spin away unwanted debris. It also gets the priority Ice Shard, that combined with Endeavor makes for an easy KO or forced switch out. Despite Donphan's hefty defense it sucks when it comes to special defense, even moreso to moves like Scald and Giga Drain. However for an offensive set Assault Vest comes in hand in those cases. Not to say Donphan won't take a hit but it may give you time to Endeavor, Knock Off or EQ the opponent. In most cases, Donphan is most effectively used during the start or early game.

Types ofPokemon to stay away from:

A majority if not all specially offensive water or grass types. It's not always wise to pin it against Hydreigon, most you can do is Ice Shard or Endeavor.

Types of Pokemon you can do some damage to or can tank/set up on:

In my experience, it mostly depends upon the sets of your opponent (sorry for the vagueness). However Donphan has gotten some leverage upon Jirachi which is mas bueno because that guy is a little stinker and will ruin your life. Most physically offensive pokemon (Darmanitan, Infernape, Arcanine, Aerodactyl). Donphan can also do nice damage to Blissey and Florges who can be pains. Knock Off on Donphan's offensive set really does damage to your opponent. But like I said, the tide of battle is heavily dependent.

And there you have it. I apologize again for such a lengthy delay. Stress is at it's usual high (Les Mis rehersal just started and I've got 3 auditions in the next month). But i'll still try to get these in more around wednesday. Feedback on how I present information is always welcome too. n___n

Well Jelly, basically this.

All three have their drawbacks and their strengths with Forre having not only RS + Rocks ((or spikes if you want some spikes which are doable with Rapid Spin especially with another SR user..)) and it has a slow Volt Switch to get out and keep up the momentum. However, it by itself has 0 Offense presence and and is extreme set-up bait.((this is kinda why Forre dropped from OU, it just has problems keeping up with HO, or more Offense orientated teams.)). Basically, Forretress doesn't do shit by itself.

Mega-Toise has pretty scary Offense capabilities and scares a lot of other Hazard Setters etc and just a lot of 'mons in general. However, it doesn't have any hazards of it's own and takes up your Mega Slot.

Donphan is basically the Half Measure. It is the middle man out of the three. It has Offensive Pressure and can both set and Spin.

So, which of the 3 you use is very dependent on the rest of your squad, and all three are very very good it just depends on your team's needs as I said. ((this is without even mentioning Tentacruel [mostly has the niche of running Toxic SPikes... take that as you will] or any of the Defoggers in the tier.))
