"Get me the fuck out of here" - shofu

And Ame, gotta check out that Sheer Force + Flare Blitz burn. But other than that, he did a good job facing the Pulse Avalugg.

*cough* *cough* 1. getting through a puzzle in under 5 mins 2. looking up what a field effect does. *cough* *cough*

That too yea. He's slowly learning on what to do when experience a field effect, and if he didn't use the Tile Puzzle Image from the Game Folder or some other reference, that would be pretty damn amazing.

And yea, Archer and Shofu messing around when playing Reborn was fun to watch, especially their freestyles.

Yeah. It's a shame how he uploads shorter parts now, he used to upload parts 45 minutes to an hour long with Archer, those were fun!

Those were the good times. Did he ever explain why Archer stopped showing up?

Shofu's fans are very hit and miss.

Saying reborn is edgy, or that it's too hard, field affects make it too complicated,

Like, reborn doesn't take itself too seriously a lot, and the field affects add a layer of depth that is very necessary because it creates more strategy.

Pokemon fans be like.... "POKEMON IS TOO EASY. REBORN IS TOO HARD"

I've noticed this too. In a way, I feel like Shofu's feelings are causing other's to bandwagon on his views, and most of them haven't even given the mechanic a chance.

On the other hand, I do understand where they come from. Field effects is a huge game changer, and you know how Pokemon fans are with change.

In the end, they are entitled to their opinion just as we are to ours. Reborn isn't for everyone, and that's been pretty clear in Shofu's comment section.

What I really hope for is for Shofu to somewhat learn the field effects and demonstrate that they aren't really as broken as he says.

It'll take time, and that probably won't happen. That's fine though, because we love it and that's all the really matters in the end.

I understand where their complaints come from, but for the most part they are judging without even attempting to learn new mechanics. Even Shofu is doing this, immediately dismissing the field effects as stupid and having no place in a Pokemon game. This isn't some massive test (as Shofu repeatedly calls the field effects), it's just a new game mechanic to learn, which unless I'm mistaken, learning the basics of the mechanics is part of playing any game.

They are also exaggerating the tone of the story, but hey people do this to everything.

Also LMAO at the people saying you have to use the best pokemon to beat this game, I beat it my first time through with a team that is arguably worse than Shofu's, which was my fault as I wasn't really exploring. (Typhlosion, Swampert, Honchkrow, and Mightyena) I got through with strategy rather than just trying to blast my way through with brute force, as it became quite apparent that it usually wasn't an option.

^^^ This ^^^^ This ^^^ A million times this ^^^^^

Like I said before, they haven't even tried learning them. Change is bad you guys!

Exaggerating is an understatement, tbh.

I can't wait till shofu experiences glitch field.

Changing the entire game's mechanics.

With the way he's whining about field effects that can be figured out with basic common sense, I'm sort of anticipating a rage quit, or at least a ton of frustration and reluctance.

I actually have a good feeling about the Glitch field. Dem genwunners will eat it up, or not.

I like how Shofu´s fans think that Charlotte´s ace being above the Level cap is totally surprising thing. You know, something which happens since Radomus.

@Migty Kamina

Don´t bother getting in to arguments. I did it before and it just ended up in circles how the Rainbow field negates weather wars or something.

I used to love Shofu's Reborn playthrough. It was his playthrough that introduced me to Reborn. Any episode that had Archer in the background was a great episode. I guess Reborn was easier back then? Ever since his return it's been nothing but a bitch fest with a side of ignorance and incompetence. I can't even bring myself to read the comments of his Reborn videos anymore. I think a lot of Shofu's subscribers try to be Shofu. If Shofu bitches about something, the majority of the commenters will follow.

Used to, when Shofu would upload a Reborn video I would get excited. I used to enjoy watching him play while I played. Now, I just don't really care anymore. It's kind of a bummer. I like watching playthroughs of video games I enjoy playing.

Man, you've got the same feeling I have.

Of course, the game was easier when he started, many OP Pokemon weren't removed yet, or moved later into the game.

And yeah, I never watch the full parts anymore. Usually I skip through the video until something good happens..

I do wish Shofu would edit his Reborn videos. Since his return, most of his Reborn videos consist of him trying to figure out a puzzle or backtracking. Personally, I don't want to watch someone try and figure out a puzzle or backtrack for 20+ minutes. Just cut to the end of the puzzle/where it is you're going. I think if Shofu would edit those parts, maybe add a death montage when he loses to the gym leaders multiple times (keeping the commentary of course), his Reborn videos would be a lot more entertaining.

Maybe he doesn't care to do that. Maybe he can't. IDK. It's just something I've been thinking about.

Could you imagine if Shofu played a game like Dark Souls?

It doesn't really bother me that he does that actually. Its pretty funny to see him trying to figure out how something works, but that's just me. I don't think he'll edit his Reborn videos like that though, so I guess the best option is just to try and skip ahead to the point where he is done.

Anyways, I'm glad he remembered ZEL and made the connection to her, as well as the Virus Battle. Hopefully his battle with Blake isn't hard for him.

I really doubt it. He has 3 types strong towards Ice & a Swampert to destroy the field.

Isn´t that basically the same Team he had against Serra. The only difference is he has an Darmanitan instead of a Magmar and Serra gave him trouble. Considering Blake´s battle is pretty similiar to Serra´s I expect a lot of rage (and YouTube comment salt).
