Is a spork better than a spoon?

Haha, I'm just playing. Personally Gyarados has a reputation around Reborn for being such a monster that it can "sweep" through most of important battles, which is true. The only thing lacking about it is its movepool, but it got a somewhat buff with the addition of Crunch from ORAS.

Carrascosta has access to Shell Smash, which is one of the best set-up moves in the entire game and Curse. However, its abysmal speed stat and somewhat shallow movepool also holds it back.

So, I would say go with the one and only Gyarados.

If you have to use a setup to make the Pokemon good it's not worth it. Time is money.

Depends on the pokemon. eg in the current meta, few things can stop M-Gyara after a Dragon Dance.

In the games, what can stop a foul mouthed Snorlax?

I don't think so. It was axed in Episode 12, so unless you obtained one from an older version, I think the only way is by the trade thread?

I don't need one personally (I've been a round here a while, so I'm still rocking the Gyarados) but I found it odd that somebody who joined as of February this year would be asking this question, as Gyarados isn't even in the game to my knowledge.
