Before, it was noel and aya. Now.. Shade. The pokemon and the field. Ouch.

If the longest, man. Aya would be the longest. Remember the muk with full evaininess(idk forgot what it called) vs roserade with full growth. So much miss.

That made me fucking urrgh. I'll never forget that experience.

I would've said Noel, but he got nerfed. Charlotte is probably the toughest right now, with Shelly being #2 because of all the hax confusion and stat-reduction she does if you don't have Persim Berries and Guard Specs.

1.Charlotte - Takes A LOT of advantage of her field, and is a very aggressive kind of leader, it won't let you even breath. Chances are that your "to go" team won't stand a chance the first time, and even grinding and developing a strategy, she's hard.

2.Luna - Not only is it the fact that her prankster Sableye is annoying as hell, but her Umbreon just DOES NOT DIE. That battle takes forever.

3.Serra - You're never prepared for her the first time.

I haven't played any of the earlier leaders since Episode 11, so I can't adequately gauge how difficult they are now.

But man, Charlotte gave me a lot of trouble. I was only able to win by the slimmest of margins.

Charlotte, yup definetly Charlotte. But I love that no one ever asks this question for the main games. " Oh man I lost to Candice like 7 times before I finally won" Thats probably my favorite part of Reborn. Gym Leaders aren't just monotype route trainers with different music. They push your shit in until they miss a move, AI messes up or you come up with a great strategy.

You can easily overcome Luna when you have at least 1 Fighting Pokemon that can set up (for example Lucario Sword Dance and Scrafty Dragon Dance/Bulk up) and something that can counter that Sableye.
It is pretty easy to make a team that can face both Bennett and Luna without changing anything with just 4, max 5 pokemons and you have still one slot left for an HM Slave/ Hunter Pokemon/ or another Pokemon that can you use for gyms.

Easiest for me: Julia (1), Corey(1), Shade(1), Cal(1), Kiki(1), Aya(2), Radomus(1), Luna(1), Samson(2), Terra(1).

Harder ones: Florinia(4), Serra(6), Noel(7),

Hardest: Shelly(12) and Charlotte(13) Blake(15)

The numbers behind it are the amount of times it took me to beat them. I find gym battles more fun to train than grinding, you never know when you accidentally win.

My vote is going to have to go with Pre-nerf Serra aka the Hax Queen. Never have I resetted a game so many times before. Pre-pre nerf Aya probably is a close second. Seriously though, when I finally beat Serra I gave out a victory chant. And no, I didn't use the drought tactic.

To be honest I never had a hard time with blake and shelly.

With Shelly it was constantly that Yanmega that bothered me, same as with Bennett's Yanmega.

Blake gave me runs for my money with that Walrein outspeeding the half of my team that hadn't fainted yet. Plus that Vanilluxe with Freeze Dry. Didn't think it'd have it.
