Which gym leader do you think is the weakest so far?

Definitely Luna or Flobot. Flobot's cradily admittedly cam be trouble with the wrong team but Kricketune eats her alive. Luna just comes too late in the game as a dark specialist to be of any particular challenge compared to the others save for Malamar.

I never had trouble with the Malamar from either Radomus or Luna.

STAB Signal Beam for both, plus of course, Signal Beam gets powered up in Luna's Cave, so it was the obvious choice.

See thing is I actually screwed up on Malamar and he killed my bug option before I could use it. That made him a lot more difficult then he needed to be and really was the only difficult part of the battle.

Another thing is that Luna has 3 pokemon with double weaknesses so unlike the other gym leaders rock paper scissors logic actually DOES wonders against her. Giving her Drapion, Greninja or even Spiritomb could make her difficult.

Thing about Samson is that his Hairyama and Conkledurr are legit scary and can seem nearly broken if you keep ending up with bad whammos. I mentioned this in another thread where I got screwed over by weaks or oks while he'd get a NICE or powerful every turn. the luck factor is pretty annoying.I agree but the rest of his team isn't nearly as difficult as his ace or lead.

Samson's Hariyama and Conkeldurr are guaranteed to get high rolls on the high striker field.

Read up on the Field-Effect Manual. ;)

Radomus was by far the one I don't remember ever getting upset about. After all, I did beat him on my first try. After that comes Luna, who only took a couple, which I suppose was nice considering I absolutely abhor Bennet with a passion (though I do always say "Bennet, I hate your dumb team but I do feel ya bro"), so I already had enough troubles by the time I got to her. I haven't gotten to Samson yet due to the current tile error in Route 2 that I cannot get past, but I feel like he will be a breeze with my Acrobatics Archeops.

The others I've fought would have to be in this order:

Julia - Protean took care of most of it. It was as challenging as the first gym should be. Getting used to the game and all

Shade - It did take me a few tries, but once I got a structure down with Gourgeist, I was fine. Priority moves are wonderful.

Shelly - I don't remember getting too mad. Also her Volbeat never really did anything. No Tail Glow or nothing.

Florinia - The field effect surprised me at first, but I made proper use of Noibat's Air Cutter (and that was the last time my Noibat was ever useful)

Kiki - Honestly I had a very hard time with her. Hi Jump Kicks never missed, and somehow she could always get off a Meditate on Hitmonlee. I ended up relying on Slurpuff again (same way I beat Solaris, with some help), and finished off the Medicham by switching into Gourgeist twice because I knew it would crash itself to death.

Aya - This took me a while because it was the first one I had to grind for. Actually, I needed to get an entirely new Pokemon for it; I trained my Lunatone that I got in passing under the Grand Staircase. It was through this battle that I formulated my go-to strategy for fights that are too difficult for me (exception in Serra)--Mamoswine uses Mist, Lunatone sets up 3 Cosmic Powers, then sets up as many Charge Beams as is safe and proceeds to sweep. Mamo can EQ since that moon rock has Levitate.

Noel - I do remember getting pissed at him. I don't remember what it was. I think I blocked it from my memory. I just know I hated it.

Serra - Haha, screw her! The only one without a field effect and it's the hardest for me?? Most of my team couldn't handle her type coverage very well to begin with. I could never get that Lunatone going because of Cloyster. I had to power level my Escavalier, which ended up taking care of the rest with great caution. Even though it was fine once my Escavalier was adequate, I still recall it being the one I got the most frustrated with.

was i the only one that obliterated Serra with ease? i used 2 pokemon (Rapidash and Ampharos) and rocked her like it was nothing.

The only leader I really hate so far is Noel due to clefable + cosmic power. But i am about to go and fight Randomus so wish me luck.

A strong bug is your friend. It will take out two of his, 3 if it's Galvantula ;)

It's a toss-up between Samson/Terra for me.

My Gardevoir has trace or whatever it's called that copies abilities, so as soon as he sent in blaziken I could set up a couple minds' and put him down. Terra was just all around easy, I don't even remember what she had other than a Garchomp, and even then it wasn't that threatening by the time she got it out.

>It's amazing how good curse on torterra is on this game.

I don't get people finding Terra easiest. I just lost 4 straight against her. I guess if you have a strong grass + ice option she's a lot easier? I don't have any grass or water moves whatsoever so she's kind of difficult ATM. Swagsire FTL and she has a freakin Garchomp. Like what is so easy about her exactly? Or is it the field not being as beneficial to her as the other leaders?

I guess it really depends on what members you have on your team. I always had some sort of special Water/Grass attacker in my team, so Terra was quite easy for me personally (except for that blasted Garchomp though)

Well, for me, my Mamoswine didn't have shit on Garchomp so he died, then I actually Bug Buzzed Garchomp to death with Galvantula. I also had Swampert with Earthquake for Nidoking, used surf twice on Hippowdon, Leaf Blade on Gallade for Claydol, Lead Blade on Quagsire, not sure about her last one... Gliscor? I think I used Icicle Crash on it...

I had a Greninja that could outspeed and OHKO all of her pokemon except for garchomp and quagsire (and quagsire could get 2HKOed by extrasensory with the psychic damage buff from the field), so the fight was really just all of my pokemon other than greninja vs. her garchomp - and while the garchomp is strong, it's not going to be sweeping my entire team single handedly.

If you're not using *any* water pokemon I guess that's a problem - I've practically never played through pokemon without using a water pokemon of some kind though (especially since having no water pokemon makes surfing a nuisance, when surf is one of the few actually good HM moves).

Water Pokemon are also very strong and handy to have with you at all times, in case of, you know, fire.

Okay I totally forgot I had accelgor with giga drain lol. Made swagsire his utter bitch.

Her Claydol is like a god though, is that thing even able to get KO'd? Or does it just explode? Somehow Purugly was able to take out Hipowdon which was cool. Her Garchomp was a pain but teaching Drapion swagger was a good move as it allowed him to take out Nidoking.

Hmmm I guess she isn't that hard with a good grass move and something to outlast Garchomp.

Claydol is bulky... but yeah that's about it. I never really found it difficult.

The really annoying thing about Garchomp is that its got really high Sp.Def thanks to Assault Vest, and due to the effect of the field, it will keep firing Draco Meteor without worrying about the Sp.Atk drop.

Terra, for me. No doubt. I almost felt bad for her when I defeated her team so easily. (I'm gonna have to apologize to Hardy when his turn comes up) I think she was the first leader I didn't lose to. And it probably didn't help that the big battle before her was significantly more difficult in my opinion. Next would be Luna as the hardest thing about her battle was remembering the nicknames for counter switches. Then the ice gym and Kiki are tied. The rest are a bit of a toss up. (Except Charlotte hardest gym for me by far)

Guess I'm the only one who got wrecked by Julia... Had no clue about electrike.

It has Assault Vest? Well that explains how it survived Sylveon's Moonblast with yellow health while Misty Terrain was active.

Did Misty Terrain make Fairy moves active again? Because in the Glitch Field Dark, Steel and Fairy are all turned back to Normal...
