RagesSorrow
Why I need to buy the Battle Items when I can just steal them from my opponents?
Etesian
Because items stolen from trainers are returned at the end of the battle.
Administrators Ikaru Posted March 9, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 9, 2015 Items from trainers aren't kept after the battle. This has been a mechanic in the canon games since gen 5; did you even try doing this before making a topic about it?
ArmoredGuardian
Lol, steal items from trainers in Reborn? Trying to get your protagonist killed? Better kidnap Nurse Joy so you can be immortal.
CURIE
Better kidnap Nurse Joy so you can be immortal. BE RIGHT BACK, MAKING FAN GAME WHERE THE BAD GUY TEAMS DO THIS And like, you're forced to live off the items you buy and find in the field, and it'll be great fun. Problem is, figuring out how you're supposed to actually beat the bad guys...
NickCrash
Actually you can do it, even if it's use is limited. My assault vest can verify that.
Etesian
Actually you can do it, even if it's use is limited. My assault vest can verify that. Stealing Aya's Assault Vest in E13 only worked because, while Aya was following you, the game considered all battles to be "against wild Pokemon" so giving back items at the end didn't happen. It seems like that's not something that can be fixed ATM, since that is still possible, but her Dragalge now has just Black Sludge. That's the only instance of you keeping items stolen from a trainer because of a bug, it's otherwise impossible.
