Time to turn touristy in my Thailand trip!

So, I'm going to be free for a while now and was planning a trip to Thailand with a friend. It's going to be 2 days in Bangkok and 2 in Pattaya.

If anybody has been there I'd like some advice on things to do. We will be going for the Alcazar show and the temple tour and to Coral island. Other than that what else can I do?

Also if there are natives from either cities please tell me good places to go to where there are fewer tourists. Like pubs and all where the local people prefer hanging out.

JOHN CENA WENT TO THAILAND

JOHN CENA RECOMMENDS WALKING AROUND BANGKOK ON FOOT, GETTING A MAP FROM YOUR HOTEL PEOPLE AND GETTING THEM TO MARK WHERE TO GO AND WHERE NOT TO GO

ACCORDING TO THE PEOPLE, THERE ARE NICE DEPARTMENT STORES TO LOOK AT FULL OF LOCALS

JOHN CENA ALSO RECOMMENDS AVOIDING THE BANGKOK MONORAIL AS IT IS FULL AND TO AVOID THE GIRLS BECAUSE

you know

they're run by prostitution rings and such

brrrr appledough

Given it was the first of the 3 that I watched, I liked it, but yes in comparison it did suck.

Oh and don't forget the food. Try to find the stores not so exposed to the public, but the ones in the alleyways. You'll be surprized with what you find.
