SO FRUSTRATING!

I actually beat the arceus a few times.

Usually I try to base my team around the super bosses this game throws at you.

I was able to use a crobat to damage it a few times with acrobatics. Then Medicham nearly kills it with high jump kick. Empoleon used brine and finished the job.

All you need is desiny bond gengar+ thunder wave on anything (in my case ampharos) that helps vs EVERYTHING, except for Solaris's Garchomp :(

Stun Spore Whimsicott. Problem solved, AND speed isn't a issue either. IIRC there was a Cottonee event somewhere, wasn't it?

High Jump Kick was pretty much the way I won. I don't remember the fight all that well. I just know I weakened it, Scrafty took a hit and Scrafty killed the Arceus with HJK.

I didn't have destiny bond so I used a quick claw perish song(kriketune lvl 50-something), which was close enough. My team is/was not geared towards those high level boss battles at all, so I have that little trump card to deal with those situations. Really trivilizes those fights but hey he healed my toxic damage so If he wont let me stall2win, then he gets a lifetime supply of cheese.

edit: One idea I had that might do this play through is play with a ghost pokemon using curse. Still stall2win but afaik can't be full restored so easily.

I just used thunder wave with an Ampharos (Ampharos could survive 1 hit from anything other than judgement, so i reloaded until he didn't use judgement) and then straight up beat him up - your pokemon shouldn't be that low level that they're not doing much damage to the Arceus as long as they get the opportunity to attack it, and he doesn't use any actual healing items (iirc he has 3 full heals but nothing that actually restores HP, so use thunder wave 4 times in a row to run him out of full heals).

You can always get a seeder and switch into a level 1 sturdy pokemon.. Or if you really want to mess with him get a prankster purrloin with yawn and then seed him..

This works for pretty much all bosses..

I beat Arceus by giving a Pokemon with thunder wave the focus sash you can find underneath the grand gate stairs when going to rescue Victoria. I have it spam thunder wave until El runs out of full heals. Then it just comes down to brute force.

Yeah the seed strat is a good one too that I've used in Jan's Pokemon Rejuvenation. It works even better if you have a detect/protect user on your team. After a death fodder you can use protect, then switch out to more death fodder(even better if said fodder has fake out), and when they die switch your protect in and so forth. Its a pretty reliable method but imho a lot slower than doing a curse route. Also if Ame puts in a boss mon with better recovery ability they may out heal leach seed in the future.
