He looked down to check the message, confident that either one of the others could handle the conversation. He clicked the screen on and selected Zander's message, quickly reading it: On 3/31/2015 at 10:40 AM, TacosAndFlowers said: Alright, I've got some leads on Ike Johnson as well as Armor Guy. Apparently Ike is in town to cure an exhibit in the museum, as you know. He also seems to act suspiciously, looking over his shoulder and what not. He should be at the port right now. Since you're chasing Ike, I'll get Armor Guy. His name is Ayatane Michitaka and he apparently hangs out around the school. Seems suspicious enough to me, so I'm gonna head over there and see what's up. -ZH Sounds good, he thought to himself. No need for a reply at this point. I'll update him when I can. He said bluntly to the group, "Whether or not you want to join me is your choice." He then left, hands in his pocket, towards the school. Maybe if he hurried he might be able to catch the culprit or at least get some more info. He preferred to be alone though he couldn't stop anyone if they decided to tag along. I was the first to hear this, after all...". After saying goodbye to the other people, she kept talking with Roy and Paul. "Hello Paul, I am Monika." She told him. Then she turned to face Roy. " Did you actually Duel with the cop? Also, I hope you don't mind if I keep my Rollerblades on", she whispered with a slight smile, while they were headed to the school. In any other situation, she would be willing to give her opinion to the man and converse with him especially since he initiated. However, she gave a quick and apologetic bow to the man. "I am sorry. However, I don't have the time to talk about the D-Gazer at the moment. If I don't hurry, I could miss the person I came to see." Time was of the essence when tracking down a person without knowing exactly where they are. Each second that one did not know her target's location was another second that the target could be spending widening the gap. Right now, he was, to her, the end of a harrowing wild goose chase. If she was unable to meet him today, there was no telling if she would be able to meet him again afterwards. After all, he seemed to be in town to restore some artifacts for one of the museum's exhibits. There was a possibility that he would leave the next day. As such, it was imperative that she find him at all costs. She then shot a quick glance at Dominic and made eye contact. At the next moment, she grabbed his hand and started to make a break for it. Was it Paul?... made their way off in the direction of the high school. She then dropped her left arm from its dueling position, allowing her hologram to disappear, and started her scooter's engine. "Since they are already on that lead, and we have basically covered everything around here, I'm going to head over to the Beach to get some clues. It's a weird spot, but that's why someone could hide things there, right? Most would never bother looking in such a place." After she's seated on her scooter, she took off her black D-Pad and handed it over to Rene. "Also, might as well get each other's contact info just in case one of us bumps into Arclight, right?" He would do the same for Klive and Blair as well. He then continued to the rest, "Since Arial is going to the beach, I think I'll head to the Port to see if anything is there. If anyone else wants to come, you're more than welcome to. If not, perhaps we can check out the entire east side of Heartland City and let each other know if anything pops up." He pauses for a moment before saying, "I'll call all of you if I find out anything or run into Mr. Arclight. If I don't, I'll probably make my way between the Port and Beach area next. Then, if that yields nothing, I'll meet up with everyone else elsewhere." That said, Rene tried to find the nearest bus stop that would take him and anyone who would go with him towards the Port. I don't want to go too fast, or else I might scare the guy, or even worse, completely miss him. He started to make his way around the building in search of Ayatane. He pulled some sunglasses out of his pocket and put them on, as well as pulling up his blue hoodie in hopes that Ayatane wouldn't recognize him immediately if Zander were to find him. "Sounds good. I've found some stuff out I forgot to mention in my message." Before he could continue, Mr. Arclight showed up with an enthusiastic demeanor,. "Hah! Mr. Arclight! Yes, the-!" His words were yanked short by Setsuna's pull on him, but the next second they were running off and away."Wh- Where are we going, exactly?" Cutting a gaze forward from behind her, he didn't need to further his questioning when he saw they were heading toward the beach. "I see, now. We better hurry, then!" Picking up his pace he tucked his fists in and up near his face as he ran next to Setsuna. "I wonder if the others will tag along, as well.." Sighing and simply hoping they'd meet up again, he focused back forward and the two both headed to the beach. I just want to investigate this one thing and she has to go and show up everywhere, he thought mirthlessly. "I like the product, but I wish the D-Pads had their own line of paint. Some of them don't take well to the factory finish," he added. No reason to let a personal grudge get in the way of scientific progress, he thought to himself. You try to question him while you duel, but to no avail: he seem to be in some sort of berserk state, screaming that the power he obtained will protect him from the likes of you! And suddenly you feel it... An enormous pressure, a sensation you cannot describe with words, as he overlays his Neo-spacian Grand Mole and his Gorgonic Guardian to summon a monster you have never seen before! You are quicky overwhelmed by it, apparently monsters cannot destroy it in battle, and it has 3000 Atk points to boot: but when you are about to give up, a soft, soothing light erupts from your Extra Deck case! You feel a reassuring feeling, you feel calm and collected out of a sudden: you overlay your Blackwing - Zephyros the Elite and your Harpie Harpist to summon Number 39: Utopia! Utopia is still unable to overcome Acid Golem, but it has an effect that allows you to negate its attacks: soon enough, Adam runs out of overlay units on its Number, and then its own rawbacks kick in, drawing his very life points! You have nothing to do but wait for him to self-destruct! Chimchain won the battle! And as Adam collapses on the ground, your hand moves on its own: you reach for him, as if to offer him an helping hand, and a small light exits his body an lands on your palm, turning into the mysterious card he used earlier! This is suspicious. I have no doubts that Ayatane would be here. Out of habit, Zander checked his immediate surroundings, making sure that there was nothing dangerous around him. He turned back to the alleyway, deciding there was nothing dangerous around, but suddenly did a double take after seeing some people heading towards the school. He squinted through his sunglass and saw it was Roy, Monika, and Paul. What are they doing here? How would they know about Ayatane? Zander thought they were still a bit far away, and he assumed they hadn't seen him. I don't have time to waste. They're probably going the same way I am anyway. If I wait any longer, anyone who may still be in the school is in immediate danger. Not to mention, I'll look like a complete hero if there's any cute girls in there. Zander looked back away from the group and threw himself against the wall of the alleyway, trying his best to conceal himself even with the vibrant blue hoodie, and began to slide down the alleyway. He then took a deep breath, doing his best to compose himself. I guess it couldn't do any harm, he thought. The blue-haired youth put on his new Duel-Gazer, impressed at how much lighter it felt on his head than the older model. "These seem like a big improvement over the old ones," he noted. "I'm always up for a quick match, though. Especially against such a famous opponent! It's time to duel!" he said enthusiastically as he activated his D-Pad. The field slots shot out of the main body and Arthur took his Deck out of its holster on his hip, slamming it home into its slot. "I'm ready when you are." Setsuna ended up stopping in her tracks right behind her. What am I doing? Every second I am not going after that Johnson guy is a second he could possibly be using to get further away. She crossed her arms and furrowed her brow for a second. "Muuuu-mu." Dammit, empathy. You win this time. She reached forward to the trembling girl. "Excuse me...miss? Are you alright? Upon arriving at the port, Rene looked around to see how expanse it is compared to some other places in Heartland. He then turned towards Klive and said, "Sometimes things always seem bigger when you're looking for smaller things...I imagine some of our classmates have probably come by here already, but that doesn't mean that we can't look ourselves." Rene wanted to look around the port, but he wanted to look closer towards the beach area towards the end of his search. He knew there were a few students going towards the beach and Rene thought that they might have a better shot at finding things there if the search party covered more ground. He turned to Klive and calmly said, "How about we check between the Port and the Beach? The more ground we cover, the better of a shot we might find something."
