Yes, yes, all that... basically Periphery Scan is just him shooting some extra bio electricity what-have-you into dem eyeballs to increase the functioning output and preformance... resulting in an expanded field of vision.

and the same explanation is what I have drafted for the increased, lightning like speed and reflexes he has yet to actually have reason to show... cause mitochondrias and all that Jazz.

Electrokinesis is so versatile though, ya'll don't even know...

And him shooting some extra juice into his eyes to enhance their functioning is also the reason they glow during transformation...

And I am tempted to have him ask if there are any batteries just lying around he could see... but that would blow his cover XD

Eh, it's fine... before you edit though, I have gone through and done a bit of touching up on my own post

This is the new version of it- I actually like it a bit more than the last one. just making sure ya see it.

And yes, the eye thing is tied to the electric powers... because all cells run off of electricity, the mitochondria is simply... eh, nevermind, don't want to bore yall...

Will do. I am just kinda waiting for a train at the moment so now is not the best time...though I may make the attempt...but typing on my phone is a pain.

That being said, the main electric activity in a cell actually happens at the cell membrane (hence the reason why axons are so thin). There is actually very minimal electrical activity that happens in a mitochondrion and the closest you will get is the charge gradient across the inner membrane shifting due to protons being pushed to one side by either the electron transport chain or through the ATP Synthase channel.

You might also have some fun with magnetism if you are manipulating electricity a lot (eg Misaka Mikoto).

Eh, well... I've never been good at physics outside of Sci-Fi and just making up stuff that sounds believable...

And don't even get me started on the possibilities of magnetism. Faust reminds me a lot of Anver Dunn- with the amount of sheer versatility they both have in their abilities- just need to figure it all out one step at a time...

Though Electro-kinesis trumps Thermo-Kinesis, I'm afraid...

yeah, uh, FoV isn't due to performance or anything, it's literally based on how our eyes are actually shaped and the fact hat we have two of them. Case in point me, I myself have a condition where my eyes are literally shaped like rugby balls rather than just regular spheres. Because of this, I have less of an FoV and no peripheral vison. Sorry to call you out Strat but that FoV thing is straight BS. The reflexes thing slies, it's fairly standard but the FoV thing i gotta say naw to.

When you learn enough science and engineering, creating realistic seeming powers can get really fun and the amount of BS you can pull and get away with also gets really big. XD

Source: This biomedical engineer

I will be honest, when you first mentioned versatile electricity powers, my first thought was Mikoto. :P

Like I said- Physics (And probably Biology too to a degree)=/= my strong suit. Guess I'll need to find some new viable explanation then... or change the post to something else...

but that also means the Hawk/ magnified Vision thing that's been used is BS too.

And this IS magic afterall... the purest manifestation of BS in the eyes of physics...

Well, the closest I can think to substitute the eye thing- Cause I have looked and that trully was a load of BS on my part, Sorry- Is the sensing of electrical fields like I discussed earlier... which doesn't really logically mean he'd be able to tell if peeps were looking at him or not from the whole eye sight thing...

Hmmm... dayum, I've dug myself a hole and I've got no muligan card to fix mah mistakes... well, back to the drawing board...eventually, I WILL come up with a way to fix all that BS...

i mean, the idea in Parasite Eve, a game centric around how Mitochondria improve humanities potential, suggests that it improves cells output, so the mito thing could explain the reflexes and hawk vision because you're straight improving the eyes performance. I just pointed out the FoV thing because it was literally a physical thing based around the eyes shape, not cells or any such thing.

Again... sorry.

now- I've come up with something with the help of my dear dead friend einstein!

...

...

...

He says for me to give up and just him glance at her... screw it, I'll do it, Einstein!

Normally i would have let it slide, this is an RP with magic, it's just that you started bringing some science into it so I kinda had to at least clarify that.

Science typically isn't my shtick either. I just kinda think somewhat logically a lot and combine that with common sense and some half remembered science lessons (And in this case personal experience) and ta-da yu get semi-accurate science.

I will be studying electricity after this though... very hard...(Chances are I'm not gonna do much more than look at wikipedia and the super power wiki and a few scientific sites though... cause studying is also not my strong suit! XD) now, to finish editing this...

I didn't even intend to make that pun. XD

That being said, I will fix that part of my post when I am at the airport tomorrow. Didn't have time to work on it.

Just ignore that part for now since those are just a space for Nagi's thoughts. Her actions and expressions will not change.

@hiss13 I'll edit the post to say who was going for a shower..

EDIT: On the topic of meta gaming.. Is it fine to refer to other PCs by name when they havent been told the names?? It makes it easier to write and keeps things lucid..

honestly I do it for clarity as long as the character doesn't say their name it is fine. ((because it can get confusing if not referring to them directly by name, so I either take the half measure and put the person I am talking to directly in an OOC comment so they know exactly who I mean, or just use their name. So long as the character doesn't say it... it isn't really meta gaming... imo.))
