TheSpinyOne
Remember these guys? I think it would be cool to get some kind of rewards like this in reborn. I know I've been collecting a lot of guys on my main file and getting something good for it (other than my own satisfaction) would be nice to see. What do you all think? Vlado Vladimir
I'd like to have that too!
JapaneseWallpaper
i think that'd kind of defeat the purpose of the game, it being rather hard and all, the rewards you get from said "aides" are usually game changers, and the work you go through to get them is not too difficult, for example the Exp. Share, is easily obtained in all main series games, yet quite hard to obtain in reborn, because it makes it easier to do.
Gaunt
That would be cool...some held items maybe, i wonder what will be the reward for completing the entire Pokedex, my bet is : Fern's dea..ahem Mega Ring. Buuut as we know Reborn needs to be repopulated with Pokemon and you capturing them doesn't help at all so the countrary may also be implemented (like a fee for having too many Pokemon)
Global Mods Ice Cream Sand Witch Posted March 28, 2015 Global Mods Share Posted March 28, 2015 Would be neat. From what I understand, doing the Pokedex only gets you a diploma in any games besides the Kanto ones, and I don't think it's a fair reward for all that time spent. Honestly, I don't really think it's a reward at all. It's just a piece of paper that you can't really do anything with. As long as it wouldn't be something required to progress in the game and would be something extra but really useful, though. This is probably my third time saying this, but I'm personally not interested in catching them just for the sake of catching. It's just tedious for me. I actually went through Rock Tunnel in FRLG in near-darkness because I dreaded even the 10 entries requirement for Flash. I think collecting should strictly be a personal thing, like Contests and battle facilities, that you can do if you want but don't have to. Until I saw what a Diploma actually was, I always thought it enabled us to capture a Pokemon that was unobtainable without an event (e.g Mew in Kanto, and Celebi in Johto etc.)... I personally don't really like the idea. I'll probably do it for the reward, but I'm not too interested.

(I think 70 Pokemon?)

Veterans Azeria Posted March 28, 2015 Veterans Share Posted March 28, 2015 in gen 1 it was a Key Item thing,it was called the Exp all and divided the exp gained by how many team members you had.
Sapphire
You mean Gen 2? there were no held items in Gen 1 It still existed. It was a stripped down version of the gen 6 Exp. Share.
Gaunt
It still existed. It was a stripped down version of the gen 6 Exp. Share. I...i really don't remember anything of the sort...where did you get one?
Simon
The exact same way as listed in the OP. One of Professor Oak's Aide gave it to you if you caught at least 50 Pokemon.

That's probably why i didn't have one...at the time i was still a kid and didn't follow the "gottacatchemall" path i lead now, that reminds me maybe i should replay Gen 1 (as i probably missed A LOT of things)
Sapphire
It was pretty useful for training up an entire team of weak mons. Take Mewtwo to the Elite 4 and 5 level 5-20s. Only downside was to turn it off you needed to store it in the PC.
Helia
Maybe that could happen, but don't we already have that sort of with the stickers? And if this does happen, maybe a semi-useful(at least more useful than Quash and his friends) TM could be given?
Administrators Amethyst Posted March 29, 2015 Administrators Share Posted March 29, 2015 oh yeah. that's a thing. sure.
Fuchsia
Liking this idea, it will give more incentive to do things whilst waiting for updates.
