Any advice on the Big Muli Battle Fiasco at Titania's cabin? (Rini's my Partner for the first two battles)

Team:

Ironside the Metagross

Relaxed

Zen Headbutt

Bullet Punch

Meteor Mash

Hammer Arm

Jason Todd the Noivern

Timid

Dragon Pulse

Agility

Hurricane

Roost

Barbara the Crobat

Impish

Acrobatics

Poison Fang

Mean Look

Cross Poison

Ruriko the Scrafty

Serious

Brick Break

Thief

High Jump Kick

Dragon Dance

Hazama the Krookodile

Bold

Crunch

Dig

Earthquake

Strength

Murdock the Infernape

Serious

Close Combat

Rock Smash

Flare Blitz

Acrobatics

I'm also grinding these two over at that one clown at the circus

Dangaioh the Gallade

Jolly

Psycho Cut

False Swipe

Swords Dance

Close Combat

Ben Rilley the Galvantula

Timid

Signal Beam

Electro Ball

Flash

Electroweb

With exception of the last two all of them are in the level 60-70s range. (The Krookodile and Infernape are either level 75 or close to it, so that is why I am training the other two.)

Any help is appreciated!

Do any of the battles give you trouble in particular? I mean, do you, for example, find Fern & Blake easier/harder than the first battle with Meteor Aces?

Scrafty isn't that bad of a lead, considering both Krookodile and Walrein (in Fern & Blake battle) are weak to Fighting. What is your Scrafty's ability? In my experience, Florinia ends up eating a lot of moves, so you have to do the heavy lifting here.

You have some moves like Earthquake and Electroweb, which hit more than one target. They should come in handy, but doing some damage with Krookodile might be difficult since Fern uses a few Grass-types and Blake uses Ice-types, both of which hit Krookodile with super-effective moves. Get rid of Fern's Krookodile and Rhyperior before bringing in Infernape. Infernape can demolish many of Blake's 'mons.

In the third battle, I'd focus on taking down Solaris first. He has strong, hard hitting Pokemon, some of which can set up. Don't let them do that.

Finally beat it. I forgot that there was a place at the circus that sold revives (Well, cotton candies, but still.). My Scrafty's ability is moxie, and there were a few times it got double teamed in the first turn of the Blake/Fern Fight. Still mostly depended on that and my Noivern.

I can handle most of Ciel's team with Walrein or Vanillux sweeping with Ice and/or Water. Eelektross takes care of Togekiss with Thunder Wave + Acid Spray and hopefully makes Ciel use her Hyper Potions. Stealth Rock with Crustle is a crapshoot depending on which of Ciel's team is out and if Crustle gets flinched before rocking. Otherwise I don't have too much trouble with her normal team, although some luck is involved.

The real trouble I'm having is with her Altaria. None of my team can outspeed it, and Hyper Voice will OHKO everyone. Donphan can survive with Sturdy, but she'll just faint on Altaria's next attack and she can't reasonably damage it anyway -- she's mainly there to be a tank.

I'm considering grinding Sylveon up to a reasonable level due to his Fairy typing and his bulky Sp. Def (Hyper Voice is a special attack). I was also considering using Honchcrow and Noivern to use the field to my advantage, or Noivern and Druddigon for anti-Dragon counters.

But Altaria with Hyper Voice utterly destroys my team. No one can survive and no one is outspeeding it. I'm stuck in post-Agate areas so I can't go to the Department Store for any cute items that can help me, nor can I catch any Pokemon in those areas (like a Frosslass + Destiny Bond strategy I saw, but I missed the Dawn Stone). And if you suggest relearning some moves, keep in mind I only have one Heart Scale left and I'd need to mine for more, so I'd like to make it count.

I'd suggest leveling up your 'mons, you have a few under lvl 70. Have you considered using Drapion against her Altaria? Upon Mega evolving it becomes a Fairy-type, so Poison-type moves will be super-effective. I wonder why your Crustle knows Smack Down and Rock Wrecker, but not Shell Smash. I mean, my Barbaracle with Shell Smash swept her team after Togekiss was dealt with. I think you should just paralyze Togekiss with Eelektross, then bring in Crustle for setting Stealth Rocks safely.

Go get Bronzong. Ciel's Altaria might know Earthquake, so Levitate Bronzong might be handy. On the other hand, it's not quite as strong as Heavy Metal Bronzong with Heavy Slam. You can catch Bronzong in Route 3 iirc. Speaking of Bronzong, you can use one for setting up Trick Room as well. Might come in handy, considering some of her 'mons are way faster than yours.

Yea I feel you, my team was really bad against Ciel's Pokemon. What i did is i cought a level 70(i if i remember corectly) Bronzog and used it to wall some of her Pokemon in the late game so i could heal my Donphan and the others.

I too did not have anything that can effectivly hit that Altaria so I'd recommend just using some neutral attack from your reliable high atk/spatk mons and Donphans guaranteed EQ to take her health down

For me she went to 1% after an EQ (she was damaged before it), knocked out my Donphan and i sent out my last team member Absol with the Sucker Punch for the win.
Also Absol did reaally well in this Gym for me. Superluck+Dread Plate+Sucker Punch

Phew, finally did it. I leveled up my Sylveon to 70, got Donphan to Earthquake Altaria, and finished it off with Sylveon's Moonblast. When Sylveon appeared, Altaria didn't even use Hyper Voice, it used Earthquake. Sylveon probably could've survived a Hyper Voice but oh well, Ciel's down and so's episode 15 and I get to restart my Dark monotype run. :D

If you post your save file i could try, but i'll just tell you how i beated her to prove you is possible, i won't pass you the new file. It's kinda like cheating isn't it?

Otherwise, please post your team for suggestions!

If you post your team with their levels and moves, and any other mons in your PC that might come in handy, then we could give you suggestions. Serra is needlessly tricky because of the randomness of her field effect, but if you have some decent Fire-types like Arcanine or one of the Fire starters if you chose it, you should be able to get past her.

You can destruct the field with bulldoze, just catch a graveler to do so, You can find one beneath the grand stairway. Then Ice type has a lot od weaknesses, fighting types are great ! but you need to destruct the field first, they'll miss a lot if you don't.

Welp, I beat her with your save file, and I gotta say, no wonder you were having trouble... WHERE ARE YOUR HEALING ITEMS? o.o You clearly didn't explore much in Spinel because you would've found a vending machine in a hidden building on the museum roof (and the Exp. Share elsewhere, but that's another story). Berry Ice Cream is a very good healing item at this point in the game, better than Super Potions. I splurged a bit with your funds and got some Berry Ice Cream and even a Cotton Candy from Obsidia's candy shop in case I needed to revive someone, but it turned out I didn't need it.

tbh I had a little easier of a time with Serra than I did on my own save file. Charizard was very useful in this fight. He's strong in general and outspeeded most of her team. Even when he overleveled and stopped obeying commands mid-fight, I still managed to sweep most of Serra's team with him. First off, I went to Pyrous Mountain and got the hidden Charcoal in the rock next to Heatmor. It boosted Charizard's fire attacks and that helped tremendously.

But Charizard is also useful due to the field's effects. Physical contact moves are dangerous because if they miss (and they tend to, since Serra's team likes to boost their evasiveness), your mon will take damage. Charizard's Flamethrower became useful because 1) it's strong, even stronger with the Charcoal, 2) it's a special attack and even when it missed, there was a chance the mirrors 'reflected' it and hit the opponent anyway. Since the field effect also boosts critical attacks, Charizard managed to OHKO most everything. The only mon he didn't deal big damage to was Aurorus, and that was quickly dispatched with Scrafty's Brick Break (Aurorus has 4x weakness to Fighting).

So, this fight is totally doable with just Charizard and Scrafty. I'll attach the save file with the Berry Ice Creams, Cotton Candy, and Charizard's Charcoal (and the Exp. Share -- you're welcome), and give you the chance to try again. If Charizard and/or Scrafty are weakened after fainting a mon, switch to one of your 'meat shields' (it happened to be Pancham, Slugma, and even Barbaracle) and heal them. Let the meat shield faint and switch back to your battler. It may take some luck due to the random crits, but you should be okay.

First off, that Psyduck avatar is awesome.

Second, you can attach stuff under More Reply Options.

Third, ouch, Corey's a tough one with your team. I tried about three times and couldn't get past Crobat either, and you're especially stuck since your flat broke and can't afford anymore healing items or other nifty stuff.

I evolved Hoothoot into Noctowl just to see what would happen, and Noctowl got a bit more useful. I timed things so that when Corey was down to his fifth Pokemon (it's usually Nidorina), I send out Emolga and used that X Speed in your inventory so that it'll outspeed Crowbat. It worked, but like you said, Crobat takes it down in about two hits, and it especially gets nasty after Nasty Plot.

If you have the patience, I'd suggest catching a Phanpy, evolve it to Donphan, and level it to 30 where it'll learn Magnitude. I know leveling at this stage in the game is a total pain, but Donphan is worth it, especially against Corey.

If you have even more patience, I'd also suggest leveling that Mareep of yours into Ampharos. Ampharos hits harder and is beefier in general than Emolga, who'll probably be outclassed down the line anyway, so you might as well start using a more reliable Electric-type. It won't be as fast as Emolga and certainly won't outspeed Crowbat, but it should be able to take a few more hits to the face and live.

Again, I know grinding is a pain, and I usually don't like to suggest raising specific Pokemon, but honestly I can't figure out a way to do it with your current team... unless you grinded them up a bit more, maybe.

Thank you, And again thank you xD.

I did a few sidequests and revisited some areas, I have 8600$ and I'm gonna grind the Phanpy I caught.

Also gonna try a couple combinations of pokemon to see if it helps, or try and find a steel type so Venoshock doesn't do bleep against it and I can just grind it out.

and again thanks xD.

Updated save file in case anyone wants to try and beat him, Cause it is probably the hardest gym battle I've done.

I haven't tried, but this kind of strat saved me several times in my hardcore mono dragon : at the beginning of the battle, send Pidgeotto and use Sand Attack 6 times (the max) + Gust (to remove the poison gaz), so that Corey's mon won't touch you anymore or so rarely you can easily heal yourself. Then switch to another one and use X items to boost it. Spe and Atk or Sp.Atk. Then sweep. I would do this with Wartortle probably, since he's the strongest and bulkiest so it would benefit him more and except Skrelp you can bite, nothing will resist Aqua Tail. And if your Wartortle gets killed, you'll still have mons with a type advantage to finish his last mons

I managed to do it, with some RNG. In particular, his Munna, Pidgeotto, and Noctowl were underleveled.

I leveled his Pidgeotto and gave it Feather Dance. Munna gets leveled until Hypnosis and around level 25 for some basic stats. And Noctowl boosted until Echoed Voice .

Whirlwind to fish for Crobat and blow away poison mist, soft reset if I didn't get Crobat. Feather Dance when I get Crobat.

When Pidgeotto dies, switch to Munna and Hypnosis. Psybeam until dead. Hypnosis next pokemon, switch to Noctowl, and set up Reflect. Spam Echo Voice. His Skrelp has Focus Sash, which annoyed me, but wasn't much of an issue. Munna and Growlithe died in the end, but whatevs~

Well, dang. I was a couple of minutes too slow.

Edit: maybe I should have paid attention when some of the posts were made.

You can help now.

My entire team just got destroyed by shade, Gengar 1 shot half of them.

Swapped out my team 4 different times, No luck.

Someone help cause I'm lost as hell on shade.

Done. I evolved Flaaffy to Ampharos and used it to KO Gengar. After I had activated the field with Discharge, I brought in Emolga. Light Screen, Charge Beam and Shock Wave were quite handy. I finished the battle with Blastoise.

You missed a cutscene:

The kids got kidnapped by Team Meteor. Cain managed to escape but he had to cut off the way you had used to get to the door.

I forgot to mention I had to use a couple of your Super Potions.
