A little help please (Dragon/Steel) (Pokemon X)

So....Before we start let me explain that im kinda terrible in the game, i have trouble telling what types pokemon are and what the weakness is sometimes. Im sure that will get better once i spend time actually playing competitvely (Which is also something ive never done before).

Anyway Ive been trying to make a Dragon/Steel team, and ive been having loads of fun doing it, but im having trouble covering as many bases as i can. Optomizing the team and such. Before i fight the E4.

Anyway my current team is this.

Salamance

Goodra

Metagross

Haxorus

Ferrothorn (Rocky Helmet)

and

Doublade (eviolite)

So i looked around online on Mono Steel teams (Since no one seems to be doing dragon/Steel) and came up with the idea to switch out a couple of pokemon for magnezone and mawile sounds like a good idea so i can get some electirc and fairy on my team (Could do Klefki as well for the steel fairy but ive seen several debates about mawile being better) Probably gonna pull out Haxorus.

Also something i should mention i have Pokemon X only so i would like to make a team where i can catch them mostly myself. Or be able to trade fairly easily for what i need. (I have no trouble breeding for a better version of a pokemon)

Anyway I would appreciate any help optomizing my team before i beat the game so i can start competitive play. (Also planning on doing alot of breeding to try to get shinys with the Ivs i need after beating the game at least the shinys that look good anyway)

Again which is why im asking for help. Telling me a team is bad is good to know, but its not helpful

Well for one, its best to stick with poke'mon that best represent their typing. Steel types are known for high defenses and durability, and Dragon types are known for wrecking other poke'mon with shear power. You have the right idea having A salamance and Metagross on your team, but the rest are better off in the box. Tyrantrum and Dragonite are good dragon types to replace Goodra and Haxorus. Tyrantrum is part Rock type meaning it can take more of a hit against any fire types you come across (and we all know who that's going to be good for), also being a dragon type means you can use it on your team without feeling like its cheating. Dragonite is an old R/B/Y Vet. who has been a good poke'mon ever since the games hit america so using one of them is a no brainer. since it can learn thundershock. thunderbolt, and thunder punch, fighting water types will be a breeze. as for steel types Metagross is a good pick for it is part phycic type and will be a threat to any poison types the E4 throw at you, but the other 2 must go. Try out Aggron and Lucario instead. aggron is part Rock type meaning that its defence will be all but unbreakable. and mega evolving it will make it even more of a wall, while Lucario being part fighting type will be best for tearing down wall poke'mon.

next you should give ALL your poke'om items that will benefit them in combat, remember you can only have one mega poke'mon at a time so choose wisely witch one you give a stone. Your dragon types will be better off with items to boost their defenses since most of them hardly have any, or boost their attack powers to give them more of an edge against walls. as for the steel types, mainly give them Items to boost their defense, but DO give a mega stone to either Aggron or Lucario.

Finally and obviously be sure to level up your poke'mon at least 10 levels above the champions, its best to have them all be at lvl 100 but that's easier said than done. I say 10 levels because that's seem's the a tad bit more reasonable.
