Pyon Pyon Kyuu!~
So for a while the argument of Dota 2 vs League of Legends has existed, tons of arguments on both side blah blah blah, and some people talk about putting heroes from both games into one MOBA. However, this would never work because the mechanics are too different! But what if they made a fighting game? This a theory crafting kind of thread, where if Dota 2 and League of Legends characters were in a fighting game, how would they function etc? I am aware mostly everyone will answer for League of Legends so go for it. The roster would have a max of 15 characters on each side, and heroes could have 4 super flash moves representing each of their abilities. Even if they are passives! Get creative! Pyon Pyon Kyuu!~
How ironic...Game Theory made a video on this thing 2 days back.... If you read the topic, it actually has NOTHING to do with the video you are referring to c: I'm talking about a theoretical fighting game, they are discussing which game is better. Godot
If Renekton or Nasus was playable, I would play the fuck out of this. I always wanted to see a LoL fighting game made by a professional team. Obviously it would be a team based game like MvC. I theory crafted this myself and majority of the Champs would lend themselves well in a fighting game environment. I can see Renekton being a super agro rush down character with tons of Mix ups using his slice and dice move to cross up the opponents and extend aerial rave combos. Nasus would be a heavy hitter with gimmicks. I can also see him using Syphon Strike and that spell circle thing that I cannot remember the name of now to OTG the opponent. Leona, thresh, and supports using assists protecting the ADC esque characters like Jinx and Caitlin allowing them to play a strong keep away game. A lot of jungle champs could have cool combo extending assists to help Mid and Top pan champs play point and do long combos. Khaz'Zix using spikes, Amumu's Bandages, Vi's Uppercuts, ect. Riot games should actually hold up to their name and make GAMES not just a Game.

Imagine a hyped up version of ultimates, like Katarina's ultimate. Or Garen's as a finishing move.
Claydoll
It depends on how BS you want that game to be since you could have stuff like Ogre Magi/Rubik and others that when i adapt them to a fighting game in my head seem to be just absurdly strong. That said, i would love to play characters like Volibear or Lion in a fighting game more similar to, say, Mortal Kombat rather than Marvel vs Capcon even if MvC is a lot flashier. I guess i'll tinker with this for a while.

Flux
Well it would be balanced so RNG based abilities like Ogre's would have to be non existant. You just made Chaos Knight cry. THAT WAS HIS THING. Anyway, like Claydoll said, some characters would be difficult to transfer to a fighting game -- Abaddon and Rubick for example. Still, I'd be so down for a game like this. I've only ever played DOTA between the two, but it'd be really cool. Though I would like to have a chance at playing Kog'Maw from League. (<3 Kog'Maw)

Between the two games you have about 230 characters. So at max you should have 30. And why would Rubick be hard to implement? Make him a staff fighter, with some zoning abilities and as his level 3 super he uses the enemie's level 3 super. Or he can steal a certain specials from his enemies. He'd just require work. Another Felix
Orianna would probably be some kind of puppeteer with her ball. I could see Nunu as a grappler and Ashe fighting like Green Arrow in Injustice.
Joker
It would be a neat idea, but I could only see certain characters working well. Like Yasuo, Renekton, Riven, Volibear. I could list more but you get the idea. Honestly, I don't think many ad carries would fit that well, but that's just my opinion.
Godot
Transitioning from LoL to DotA or from LoL to a fighter? I cannot think of a single champ who wouldn't work. I could also most likely name a character or two from other fighters who would be similar
Pocky
Lee Sin would be the master of jungling (litterally lol). Personally, I wanna know how a character like Crystal Maiden or Lina would do in a fighting game.
Pyon Pyon Kyuu!~
Lee Sin would be the master of jungling (litterally lol). Personally, I wanna know how a character like Crystal Maiden or Lina would do in a fighting game. First you have to remember two things: 1. Zoning is a thing 2. Even characters who in their own series are archers for example, when converted to a fighting game they do get melee attacks. Lina could easily punch people with fire hands, or materialize pillars of fire to do the work for her. Meanwhile Crystal Maiden would just fight with her staff, and wolves of ice wrack. And never swift. It would be a neat idea, but I could only see certain characters working well. Like Yasuo, Renekton, Riven, Volibear. I could list more but you get the idea. Honestly, I don't think many ad carries would fit that well, but that's just my opinion. As I said before, anything can work. Corki could be a little weird, but Kog'Maw could be the master of zoning with artillery falling from the sky and poison shoots and crap. Graves could hit people with shotguns, throw grenades, or shoot them at point blank range. I'd actually love to see Graves in a fighting game. Chevaleresse
There are a few heroes I'd like to see. CK would be cool, he could summon his horse for specials and such. Beastmaster, Syllabear, Lifestealer, Bloodseeker, Juggernaut, PA would all fit pretty solidly as well. Rubick could work as a copycat sort of character.
