AuthorReborn
So this is just a fun little thing I tend to do every time a new suspect test or ladder reset occurs. It's mostly just fun to make fun of some of the absolutely bonkers sets some people create when they're not very good at competitive battling. I'll start with one I just encountered in the ongoing suspect test (just do ... before your phrase to save yourself some time): ...you encounter a Gengar with Fire Punch, Hyper Beam, and Dark Pulse. Tomas Elliot
...you encounter a Gengar with Fire Punch, Hyper Beam, and Dark Pulse. (Here) Close Combat Keldeo and Dragon Pulse Gyarados were pretty pro too. But if you want to see really atrocious stuff, go on the Ubers ladder soon after a new game has come out: I remember when X/Y first came out, I faced plenty of teams consisting of Greninja, Mega Blaziken, Mega Lucario, Mega Charizard (YES THEY WERE CARRYING MEGA STONE ON MORE THAN ONE POKEMON, a guy actually complained that the Mega Evolution button wasn't showing up the second time...), Xerneas and Yveltal. The mega lineup may vary but really, you'd be surprised by the sheer amount of teams like this I have faced.
Ojama Yellow
When people don't know how to mega evolve, but their Charizard doesn't hold a Mega Stone. Yeah, of course it's Charizard, what else?
Follow
Ubers is the worst place to fight in the low ladder. You can find froakies, pikachus, and other things like that. Edited April 21, 2015 by Follow

AuthorReborn
When your opponents' mons hold things like Quick Claws or nothing at all. ??? The only truly proper time to not have an item at all is on a mon with Acrobatics.
Raindrop Valkyrie
The only truly proper time to not have an item at all is on a mon with Acrobatics. Even then it is a serious consideration. Cause not having an item can be a pretty serious disadvantage. Acro is powerful with no drawbacks ((other than not being able to have an item, or using one that activates somehow.)) yes... but I still hardly find it worth it sometimes. The only thing without a doubt I can say it is certianly worth it on is Archeops, because the mon isn't bulky enough to make use of Lefties, and doesn't want to be losing health from Life Orb due to its horrid ability. It also doesn't get access to Brave Bird ((not that it would use it since it causes recoil which would make the time over half health even shorter for the guy.)) so it doesn't really have any item to synergize with it, so it makes sense to run acro with no item. Other Mons are much harder to make that call on I feel. Also... I have seen a Special Attacking CM Mega-Cham before... it was weird... very weird... Lord Chespin
When you fight a guy with a fully offensive Carbink. This one's actually in the main games, used by Steven Stone of all people during your rematch against him in Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire. Karudae
I once used Blissey on the ladder. It had standard things like Soft-Boiled and Heal Bell. But then, I decided it needed an attacking move. So I gave it the strongest Normal-type move I knew of at the time. Hyper Beam. Hyper Beam Blissey.
