RaySayer
Your team has a pretty good shot at this gym, if you have the TM Rain Dance you should probably teach it to Greninja. It'll help get rid of her field effect and it'll change the weather in your favor. I'd say get rid of Hydro Pump, just becuase Surf has more PP and is more reliable. Also if you have a spare ability capsule (save first), use it on Hariyama so you can get the thik fat ability, which will help you eat up her fire type attacks. A nice lead off combo could be Greninja and Noivern, since they both resist fire and Noivern resist Surf. Dont really remember Amber's 2 leadoff mons, but I hoped this helped. Also if you can try to get rain dance on as many pokes as possible without ruining their moveset, it could go a long way. And try to replace your bug and grass type with pokemon that can actually assist you with this gym, like a rock, ground, or more water types. Thanks!!! But i haven´t Rain dance... I´ve been searching it but i can´t find it... Does anyone know where it is?? Amber´s 2 leadoff are Tyhplosion and Rotom, and i cant beat any oh them i will try again with your advice, thank you very much!!!
Milotic
Apparently if you didnt get the TM from Valarie after defeating the deoxy on the beach, then you can get from somewhere in the Wispy Ruins, no idea where tho.
DemICE
yeah i had a greninja too and i taught it rain dance for amber.... only to discover that typhloion was faster than me, and was OHKOing greninja with eruption (maybe because im playing intense mode. i dont know how things are at the other modes) so in the end greninja had 0 contribution to that fight Edited June 4, 2016 by DemICE
LittleRedRidingHood
Hi, I'm having trouble with valerie. I can't seem to find how to beat her with the pokemon I have at my disposal, and since we're stuck on the beach, I can't go back to catch what I need, what do I do ? Here is my team : Unfezant (42) rivalry brave quick attack facade air slash air cutter cofagrigus (41) modest mummy scary face shadow ball will-o-wisp curse meowstic (42) keen eye sassy psychic light screen shadow ball charge beam diggersby (43) huge power lax dig take down quick attack bounce medicham (44) bold pure power high jump kick meditate feint force palm blaziken (44) brave speed boost double kick bulk up blaze kick flame charge In store I have pyroar, lombre (without a grass stab) and gloom but without leaf stone 'and they get 2hko or can't do anything back at level 44) and vivillon. I always get 2 mons out of the way with meowstic, but after that I get no kills and all my mons die right away. I've tried with lombre and gloom but it was somehow worse as they couldn't do crap, especially lombre since you don't get it as a lotad. On the beach I have access to krabby, weepinbell (but again, no leaf stone) and goldeen from memory. Once I managed to set up three bulk with blaziken and got +3 speed with politoed, slowbro and lanturn out of the way, but I still got outsped and died to a crit shadow ball from rotom-w. But I don't think it would have cut it anyway since I don't have access to high jump kick despite having three heart scales since you are stuck on the beach, milotic would probably have lived if I was only +2 with just double kick so killing the rotom at +2 isn't really an option I think not mentionning I'm slower anyway even at +3 speed. And I probably won't get to kill the slowbro again haha I killed it with a crit take down from diggersby because it had set up a calm mind instead of attacking (it was obviously faster) and blaziken ain't never breaking through the slowbro and apparently I need at least +4 to outspeed the rotom. If only I could go back and catch some things I could use or if I had leaf stones I could probably eventually beat Valerie, but with only what I have at my disposal I don't see how I can do it, so any help is appreciated Edited June 7, 2016 by LittleRedRidingHood

It gets toxic and light screen so it should be able to help you out. Drop blaziken and Diggersby and pick up Vivilion or literally anything trainable from your boxes tbh. Abuse light screen from Meowstic/Dustox to help you take her powerful water stab. Hell even without a Vileplume, Gloom would prolly help more than Blaziken lol
LittleRedRidingHood
Omg thank you dustox saved my life. Mined a light clay from the beach and light screen did the job, no idea it got it, thanks a lot !

Hey man, your team really isnt all that bad. Pokemon you should keep for this battle : Golem, Gigalith, Omastar, and Gastrodon, im afraid the others wont be of much help. What you wanna do is first change the weather, so she isnt so powerful. You have 2 mons that can do that in Omastar and gigalith, but you'll wanna save omastar for later in the battle so it can set up a rain dance and pretty much win lol. So a pretty good lead matchup for you would be Golem and Gigalith, Golem has sturdy, so if it isnt double teamed it gets up stealth rocks which really hurt Amber. And you can change the weather with sandstorm, if Gigalith manages to survive the first turn as well(If you have an ability capsule use it on gigalith to change its ability to sturdy). And from there the battle should be much easier, continue to keep rain or sandstorm up (as long as the sun isnt up your good). As for the other 2 members for this battle, i'd reccomend just getting some good strong pokemon. Its easy to train in this game so you can literally find anything you think will be good for the battle and train it up to help you. Maybe something that can learn good status moves like Thunder wave. Also if you do have the rain dance TM you should try to get it on as many pokemon as possible. It'll make the battle go much smoother, good luck.

Zargerth
Flying and Psychic -types tend to work quite well. You can find Natu in Amethyst Cave, Lunatone event is there as well. I'd level up that Mime Jr. and evolve it to Mr. Mime. Swoobat is quite handy too, and Fearow too (you can get Spearow by completing the help requests in Sheridan). Some Normal-type moves gain Fairy-typing or something (Litleo's Headbutt was super-effective against Pangoro). CheddarSouffle
Box Graveler for Woobat and evolve it into Swoobat. If you have Simple, 1 Calm Mind easily sweeps Keta.
Quattro Staravia
Did Jan fix that glitch with three Abilities? If so, then I shot myself in in the ass, since I used the Ability Capsule in Venam's gym to give my then Bunnelby Huge Power. :Kappa: EDIT: Also, to all you twats who recommended flying, Thunder Punch. That is all. Beat him. Who knew going to the EV training center with my Spearow could do wonders? It took a combo of her, My Newly purified Duskull, and my Tranquill. With my Combusken taking care of the Pangoro. Edited June 17, 2016 by Quattro Staravia

CheddarSouffle
Try looking through the thread to see how others have handled her. Like above, try looking for a Dustox and mine for Light Clay on the beach. Keep Infernape, as it's speedy and can one-shot the Lapras and can deal heavy damage, but switch out Noibat for Swoobat and level it up. If you have Simple for an ability, lead with Electrode and soft reset until you can paralyze the Politoed with Discharge. Then switch into Swoobat and max out with Calm Mind. It has Ice Beam, so be careful and heal up when you need to. Also, if you have Water Absorb on Tympole, level it up to deal with Lanturn, maybe swap it out for Whiscash. Also, use that Quick Claw; hopefully you'll get lucky. Best of luck, hope this somewhat helps.
