Shing
Thanks for that dude. Crawli was easy, but then I went in a dark cave without Flash. Fun time. It's not really to hard without flash i can say. And if you want flash, you can get it by having 1000 coins at the casino.

Peepeepoopoo
Hey, you know what this thread needs more of? People stuck in Angie's hell hole. So I was just wondering if it's true that you can get rid of her stupid field with an Eruption. I've got a Camerupt right now with Eruption and I sent it out first against her Abomasnow. I used Eruption. The text was as follows; "The cold weakened the attack. The ice melted (field disappears, graphics change from icy terrain to cave terrain). The ice shattered (graphics go back from cave terrain to ice terrain)." I one-shot the abomasnow which is cool and all but this doesn't seem to remove the field which is super sad. I took down her Walrein with a curse, then she sent out her Froslass and used Cold Truth. It said something along the lines of "The immense cold powered up the attack" indicating that the field was still here. Do I need to use a different move or is it not possible to remove the field? Edit: Welp, I just beat her with a bit of luck and a lot of potions (used up the hyper potions and max potions I had too :'( ) I'll post my team and strategy as it's quite different from the teams that have seen success on this thread so far against Angie. My team (they were all level 53 entering the battle); Hera [Camerupt] Timid:Solid Rock @None Yawn Earth Power Eruption Amnesia Reaver [Dusclops] Brave:Pressure @Quick Claw Shadow Ball Will-O-Wisp Confuse Ray Curse Voltage [Ampharos] Relaxed:Static @Hard Stone Discharge Power Gem Signal Beam Thunder Wave Purity [Mr. Mime] Sassy:Soundproof @Light Clay Psychic Safeguard Light Screen Reflect Luss [Medicham] Docile:Pure Power @None Force Palm Hi Jump Kick Meditate Recover Anubis [Houndoom] Bashful:Flash Fire @Flame Plate Fire Fang Flamethrower Feint Attack Foul Play The strat; Lead with Camerupt to OHKO the Abomasnow with Eruption. This had Angie send out her Walrein (because it has Surf). I switched into Dusclops and used Curse. Don't know if it was faster or if it was the Quick claw but I got it off before dying. Then I switched into Mr. Mime and set up Light Screen (Angie uses mostly special attacks except for Abomasnow I believe) and Safeguard (mainly to protect against the Walrein's toxic but also to prevent freeze). From here it was a stall war between Mr. Mime and Walrein. I kept healthy using potions. I had to set my Light Screen and Safeguard up one or two more times. The hail was long gone by the time her Walrein fainted because of the Curse. She sent out her Froslass to which I responded with Houndoom. Because of the Light Screen I took her Froslass' Thunderbolt quite well and 2HKO'd her Froslass with Feint Attack (eat that Snow Veil). After the Froslass came her Glaceon, to which I sent out Medicham. From there I Hi Jump Kick'd the rest of her team (thankfully it didn't miss once). TL;DR get Mr. Mime with Light Clay, Light Screen and Safeguard, Camerupt with Eruption/Houndoom with Flamethrower and Faint Attack (I don't know if you can OHKO Abomasnow with a Flamethrower but it's worth a shot) and Medicham with Pure Power and Hi Jump Kick. And pray that RNGeesus is with you. Edited May 20, 2015 by vsx2000goton
hawkespeon
Guys I saw Videos and stuff about beating Angie's team, and one thing came in my mind, her levels in my game are a lot higher (like her weakest pokemon was Abomasnow and it was lv 60 I believe), was it normal? 'Cause i'm seeing videos with her pokes around 56 - 58.
berlyda
The levels depend on the difficulty. You must be playing on a harder difficulty than the people in the video. Also bear in mind Jan made Intense Mode harder in 5-5, which I think includes higher levels.
Karlboy21
It seems that I have trouble with all the gyms no one has trouble with.Except For the Arceus Freak that is Angie A lot of people I have seen play through have been beaten easily by her. Most of them are either Natures that screw the pokemon over completely and/or are neutral. Now I really want an answer for this one question WHERE IN GOD'S NAME IS THE TUTOR PLEASE TELL ME FOR THE LOVE OF GOD Also, I really need some items that can help my team out. Peepeepoopoo
Now I really want an answer for this one question WHERE IN GOD'S NAME IS THE TUTOR PLEASE TELL ME FOR THE LOVE OF GOD Move Tutor is not available until you beat Angie and finish all help quests in that town. You're SOL there. I recommend replacing Ursaring with a Thick Fat Hariyama. Hariyama's naturally high HP and attack stat along with good moves such as knockoff and close combat will help you a lot in this gym.

Halp me pls Dude all you actually need is the Hitmonlee ... i dont understand why everyone neglects the usefulness of reverse candies. Level hitmonlee to lv 57 via Breeder from the ship to learn CC, then use 2 reverse candies on hitmonlee so you dont go over the lv cap boom no move tutor needed, then proceed to CC angie's entire team bar Froslass, that's the only pokemon that you cant CC, so train up that Houndoom to 55 as well to combat the Froslass, then you should be good to go. Her Walrein is also pretty bulky so training up Hariyama will be good for you too. Edited May 25, 2015 by SexyMilotic

Or you can burn/toxic stall it (and also stall out the hail assuming you've KO'D the Abomasnow already). This will also get her to use all the hyper potions she has. LeonTakashi
Like the other have said, Have Hitmonlee and Hariyama (as back up if Hitmonlee faints) and both have close combat, you basically can sweep her whole team with them cept the froslass one, you can just bring a fire type or use ur houndoom on it, also if u got a chandelure, It can learn flame burst to remove the ice field too. ShatteredSkys
So I'm at Crawli's gym and I kind of have a dilemma around ep 4 my team has slowly been taken over by grass types. I started with a snivy, I later picked up a sawsbuck to beat pre nerf Narcissa and after Narcissa I trained my self a shiny trevenent (Does anyone know where I can get Sitrus Berries?). Does anyone know any goood pokemon for Crawli? I was originally going to pick up a fossil pokemon but there still not out yet so I guess I'll just have to find something else. I recommend Golem (you should have the link heart by now). Also a water type Pokemon would be a good idea considering the rain. For this I suggest Swampert (you can get a mudkip in Wispy Path). Veterans Azeria Posted May 26, 2015 Veterans Share Posted May 26, 2015 Empoleon destroys him but you don't have that....hmm,try getting the Magneton from the Sidequest thing,it walls a good portion of his team, for the Volcarona, have a Flying type like Crobat to keep it from sweeping. In a recent run, those two managed to beat him on their own.
tails12
Does anyone know any good pokemon for Crawli? I don't know if Sitrus Berries were available, but I also recommend Ampharos for Crawli's Gym. It getting Power Gem and being in the rain helps its case for Thunder if it has it. I used this combo alongside Empoleon to completely dominate him, even in IM. This worked wonders for me and I recommend it to anybody stuck with Crawli. You can train a spewpa or for more dramatic effect catch Rorrim B's Vivillion and train it to level 50 for Hurricane and Quiver Dance. Jan added a rain effect for Crawli in order to weaken Fire types but in the rain you can hit all the Hurricanes you want. Also, Quicer dance raises your stats by 2 stages so if you can get Vivillion out you can just sweep his whole team with +2 Hurricanes.
Cepheus
I'll be giving my strategies for beating Crawli and Angie... both of which I UTTERLY DESTROYED on my first try! (On Reborn Difficulty that is) and I didn't look up here or any videos... I went in there knowing only their Type. They only killed the Pokemon I was willing to sacrifice from the start meaning 1 or 2 of them because of their specific roles I only needed them for: All Levels were 1 below level cap - 49 for Crawli and 54 for Angie Crawli Lead with: Golem Sturdy Rock Polish Rollout Earthquake Stealth Rock Obviously I lead with stealth rock angainst his Castellith then proceeded with EQ until his Castellith fainted... it was spamming Barbed Web... Next was Galvantula... which managed to KO Golem... Then came: Noivern Frisk Air Slash Roost Superfang Tailwind Air Slash spam... just Air slash spam... Noivern outsped EVERYTHING... his Volcarona got down to half HP because of stealth rocks and it got One Shot... like everything else... That's Crawli for you... Angie I knew she would use her Ice field... she leads with Abamosnow and it's Hail ability I lead with: Golem Sturdy Rock Polish Rollout Earthquake Stealth Rock Again - Stealth Rock... it was just too soooooo good against Angie... sadly Golem got defeated by Abamosnow without another move... but the work was done... the stage was almost prepared... I followed up with: Camerupt @Quick Claw Solid Rock Earth Power Rock Slide Earthquake Lava Plume Abamosnow was obviously faster and hit with Woodhammer... I followed up with Lava Plume to get rid of that pesky field... and OHKO that Abamosnow. Now the stage was prepared. Stealth Rocks on her side and no mor Ice-Field. She followed up with Walrein, which I answered with Ampharos and it's Thunder Punch. Then came Mamoswine, which I countered with Infernape and it's Close Combat. Then she send out Froslass, which I countered with Mawile... why Mawile? SUCKER PUNCH! - poor Frosslass didn't even stand a chance... Next was Aurorus... well I switched back to Infernape and let him handle it in Close Combat... Last was Glaceon... again Close Combat sealed the deal with one hit... That was Angie... pretty damn easy... I think she never got to use her "Cold Truth"...
