Chevaleresse
Takeshi's group The creature cried out in a sort of pitiful whimper as the attacks landed before slumping over, the combined magical assault overwhelming it. It laid on the ground unmoving for a few moments before sort of fading away, the creature turning entirely translucent and then vanishing entirely. The red substance that had leaked out of it did the same, rising into the air and becoming motes before fading. "Well, that's that taken care of," Takeshi declared. "Come on, let's finish the rest of this patrol." He reverted to his normal form, then walked off down the street with the rest of the group in tow. When they finally returned to his apartment, he turned to address the other mages accompanying him. "Alright, so here's the deal. Astros wants me to help you guys out, and I feel like you should get some basic skills before any of the factions rope you in. I'll train you for a week, and keep you as safe as possible while your power builds. Usually it takes about two weeks to get a good solid power base, but one week will be enough to either beat off any monsters you run across or let you escape if they're too much. I recommend getting arrangements figured out so that you can actually do this; you're not gonna have a lot of time to hang out with family, go to school, whatever." Takeshi looked at each of the new mages in turn as he waited for their responses. Faust A man who appeared to be slightly older than the average mage arrived after a few minutes of Faust writing his report, exiting the elevator and moving immediately to the office. "New here?" he asked. "Feel free to claim a bunk; we've always got extra space. I'll be reading through your report in the morning; if you could add some personal details to the end it'd make my job easier. We've got an assignment for you already, when you're ready; the boss has been wanting someone new to the area to look into something." His shorter-than-average stature and shock of bleached blonde hair made him a bit difficult to take seriously, but he didn't seem to be trying to hard to achieve that as long as people listened to him. "I'll let you get back to that; we'll run through introductions and all that fluff tomorrow morning."
Jory
Rooftop Bark nodded again. Then, realizing Vixen couldn't see his head moving, he said a quick, "Gotcha." He stood next to the woman for a moment, feeling an odd sense of camaraderie. Another oathbreaker, perhaps? he wondered. "I'm not going to ask anything about this 'other part' of yours. Just know that I've probably been in a similar situation," he said sincerely. "Plus, what kind of Deviant would I be if I went ahead and helped the factions?" he said with a light chuckle. "Bastards that they are." He cleared his throat for a moment, feeling as though he'd forgotten something. Then, he realized. "You've probably got some crazy sniper-assassin-hunter tracking skills, right? I'll let you take the lead. Anything needs smashing, you just let me know." Support Squad Felicity Posted June 15, 2015 Support Squad Share Posted June 15, 2015 "Fine by me" Bobby said, coming down from the increasingly familiar high he felt from the transformation. "It's not like I have a life anyway. I do have a bone to pick with my room-mate though, if he's still around..." The young man grumbled. "New people! gah..." Raindrop Valkyrie
Rooftop "I'll be sure to point that out to you." Vixen said in regards Bark's last statement. At least the brute knew his strengths, and where to butt his big nose out of. It'd make her job a lot easier that way, without having to try and wrangle somebody else acting on their own accord. It was the first part of what he said that didn't sit well with her. Acting as if he knew her past. He didn't. To think it could have been similar to his. when he had no idea what hers was; A fallacy if she ever saw one. She rather not make any bad blood though. She didn't know his past either. Only that both of their paths had converged fro right now. And probably not even permanently. Especially if she saw to it, to stay alone like always. For now that beast finding itself in a hole in the ground was more important than her want to be alone.
Yash
Krys thought about her life. All that seemed important was her job, and even that wasn't really great. "I don't really have too much to do, except for work from time to time. I can ask for more flexible work hours. So it's fine I guess. Still, I'll just go back and make sure everything is fine." Krys left the area and made her way home. She would need to prepare some stuff before going over to the shop.
Cyaloom
"This seems alright", declared Dexter: he was about to finish school and could have decided by himself what to do next, so he could focus on being a "magical person" without having many other things to do. "I'd probably still stay in my house - so it is better if I just go there and see if everything is OK, if you agree with that. I'll have to go to school right now, but the schoolyear will end soon. And, after all, I accepted a contract..." he said, looking at Takeshi and then at Astros and waiting for a reply - the latter had him, Takeshi and now Krys as his protectors, so likely he should have felt satisfied.
