Stars
Gardevoir. Because it's Gardevoir. What else do you want me to say? Although I did have a pretty awesome Alakazam back in Red (who didn't?). I gave it Mega Kick and nicknamed it Psy-Kick because I [s]am[/s] was a dork.
And Stars, you couldn't have Charmander in Yellow when you fought Brock
Yeah...I'm really not sure what I was thinking when I said that... I know I wasn't thinking about FRLG because Charmander gets Metal Claw in those. =/
N8theGr8
Bullet wins, solely because he was the only one to provide any evidence into why Gardevoir should win. Bullet is the new Prof. Oak!
Bullet
Yay *uses Arkeis.com* vs.
N8theGr8
I'll go with Kyogre. Most variants carry Ice Beam, so even if Drought is going, Groudon gets pounded into the ground with an Ice Beam or two. I have to say that I'm more of a fan of Groudon though. But Groudon will be outspeeded and can only EQ Kyogre, which probably won't kill it. I like calling Kyogre (Ky-Row-Gey) Gey rhymes with Key. Stars
Kyogre. Against Groudon, it's got Water Spout or Ice Beam, and against everything else, permanent Rain is just plain beastly anyway.
Bullet
N8 is the new Oak for giving more thorough reasons~
Will
Funny how you guys forgot Groudon's solarbeam with drought, but it's still probably not enough, so yeah, congrats, N8.
Stars
We didn't forget about the physical attacker's non-STAB special attack, sir. =p
N8theGr8
Oh, fun, lets do something with a little less bias... VS. CLASH OF THE LEADERS' POKEMON: RAWRCHOMP VS. TUB-O-LARD/STALLREIN Obamasnow's hail is up, neither have any boosts or Substitutes. Mashew
If its like that then my Money is on tub o lard He has Blizzard Protect and so much more he could dominate lol~
Bullet
I don't think there's supposed to be specific situations..... Or that we're supposed to be putting them against each other in a battle, instead of just comparing them.
N8theGr8
But Stallrein is utterly useless without Hail support.
Bullet
And for that reason exactly, I vote Garchomp. The fact that hail is up shows a ton of bias. I mean, the fairest would be no weather, in which Garchomp is better......
N8theGr8
Stallrein without hail is not functional. That's like Jolteon in Trick Room. It doesn't work.
Ninpen
I agree with everyone, Garchomp is too much of a beast.
N8theGr8
This really was a bad round, seeing as no one REALLY elaborated on why they picked who they did, so I'll pick Mashew. He's the only one that put ANY reasoning whatsoever behind his choice
Mashew
thanks N8 lol i think ill go with..... Persian Vs. Purugly
N8theGr8
Persian. Taken straight from smogon.com:
It has a little more Attack than Persian, but other than that, Purugly is totally outclassed by its feline counterpart.
Also, besides being better in EVERY ASPECT other than Attack, Persian also looks just way more awesome. It can look cute, it can look mysterious, it can look mischeivous, and it even can look a bit evil. Purugly's just a cat that looks like it got thrown into a trash compacter. Remember the first season of Pokemon when Team Rocket wasn't just stupid comic relief? Giovanni had a Persian, and it looked BADASS. I don't remember Purugly playing even a somewhat important role in the show. Really, Persian has just always seemed better to me. Maybe it's because I think every 1st Gen Pokemon except for a few (Jynx and others) seem well designed and just awesome to me. I dunno. Ninpen
It would have been more awesome if Giovanni was smoking a cigar and was like "No, Mr. Red. I expect you to die."
Mashew
I WANT THIS REVIVED!!! SO N8 IS THE NEW PROF> OAK GO NOW >
N8theGr8
Alright, I'm gonna do something fun. VS. VS. VS. TIME TO FIGHT FIRE WITH MORE FIRE!
Mashew
this is hard.... Im going with Blaziken only cause I use it often. Brave Bird is unexpected on it Earthquake is a good move and flare blitz and Superpower STAB time~ So yeah lol its a good poke
Bullet
HEAD TO HEAD!! 123 lets pit 2 pokemon together and see who comes out on top. 46 mashew 308 Today, 03:21 PM Last post by: mashew trololol 2 Pokemon, but oh well. Infern®ape because, well, it's Infernape. It outclasses Blaziken with far superior speed, which is arguably the most important stat, as well as movepool. Typhlosion isn't thatspecial without Scarf Eruption, which priority, most notably Aqua Jet, wrecks. Charizard can be pretty good, but just can't match up in mied or special attacking, and is also slower.
Maelstrom
I vote in the order of their listing actually, so first choice is charizard, and so on and so forth.
N8theGr8
Bullet wins for actually putting logic behind his answer, but I, like Orca Mael (HAHA IT RHYMES WITH WHALE), like Charizard the most. My order actually is... 1) Charizard 2) Infernape 3) Blaziken 4) Typhlosion ...I love all of them though. Too bad Black/White's fire starter is beyond retarded, so I can't say that Fire Types are always best starters anymore. Go go Bullet!
