Tempo17
So I just beat the bug type gym leader and basically beat him with one move. Other than the crustle at the beginning, I managed to beat him with just air slash from my noivern. I think this is kinda ridiculous how 1 move can be so overpowered in this match. I love the fact that gym leaders are really hard to beat in this game. It makes me rethink my strategy and come up with new ones or train different pokemon for the situation. But if a single move can take out more than half of the team then it is too easy. The reason one move was so effective against this gym leader was how the field actually boosted the power of the move. I believe that an easy fix to this would be to change the typing of the move to grass since the text that is read is "a large tree that was cut fell on the opponent". It would make the match harder while still keeping the feeling of the game and most importantly it would make the gym leader harder. Sheep
So there's only one bug type gym leader and that's Shelly. She's a girl. Alternatively you could be talking about Bennett, but we never fight him in a forest. Additionally I'm pretty sure neither of them have a crustle, though I haven't played the game in a while. Who exactly are you talking about and where do you fight them, 'cause the 6th gym is actually either fighting or ice. Don't mind me. I'm an idiot. Tempo17
This was meant for the Rejuvenation thread not the reborn thread. HENCE WHY I POSTED IT THERE IN THE FIRST PLACE! I'll edit it so that people will understand in the future but I appreciate your advice
pikabusta
If you think about it, every gym is east if you have a Pokemon on your team that happens to completely counter the opposing team.
Tempo17
I see where you are coming from but I just didn't like how my attacks were being boosted. It took the challenge out of the fight. Also if its fine if 1 pokemon can have an advantage, I used quagsire to get me through the valarie, but even then he was only there to take down 1-2 pokemon and help with the rest. 1 pokemon should not be able to beat a gym leader by itself. Shing
Well we could make it difficulty like Angie one. Not like Narcissa Pre-nerf in version 3 lol. I tend to agree. Crawli's gym was too easy, even in intense mode. For me, Quiver dance was damn strong in this gym that vivillion could sweep all the team.
