I haven't bothered with the War Pig, but, who needs it for Mary when there's OPRoot. That thing is TOO good right now.

Mouroot's our Kricketune, EXTREMELY OVERPOWERED early game but falls off after. However, it has a gimmick THAT CANNOT be overlooked. And I'm not talking about harvest ;)

Wait, you mean to tell me the Elftik is supposed to be rare? I encounter 1/4 battles in Route2. Anyway, not looking here till I get the ep. done not to be spoiled.

Also, my previous question was overlooked, but I would appreciate a reply. Can the controls be changed to become like Reborn and Reju, and, if yes, how?

Edit: Sadly I killed all other Elftiks because mine had good IVs. Now I have the feeling that if I try searching again, I won't find it.

I would have replied to you the 1st time but I have absolutely no idea. I just get used to whatever controls the game I'm playing has, so this is something only Az can tell you for sure :/

And yea that thing is supposed to be rare. You lucky son of a gun, I have only ever found ONE and I had no pokeballs at the time ;-;

I haven't actually found a Moulroot yet though, which is why I went for Pikireig.

Then again, it only took me one encounter to find the bug needed for it when I went out to catch all the bug types in an attempt to figure out which one was needed for the trade.

I don't think you'll find any moulroots in the grass, unless it's a really small chance.

Ok it appeared you solved the other issues first...

Anyway, it's not hard to adapt, I'm just wondering if the option is available. The only thing that bugs me is that I've used to the other controls and when trying to do something fast I mess up with the controls and lose unnecessary time doing it lol.

...wuuuut? Not even once. Not, even, once.

Speaking of which, why did XXX's OPRoot have the good physical moves and ours at the same level, none? :P

Mary was not too hard....except on my first attempt she managed to freeze my fully set up Mouroot....and then the bunny right after, I was salt

We specifically put Banshy there to keep people from being "lol set up with Mouroot and win". Just like Voodusk is there to keep people from attempting the same with Ebounny. I tell you, winning a badge without losses is VERY difficult in Graterras, can't wait to see people attempt nuzlocke runs...

Unless the AI decides to use disarming voice instead of powder snow, which happened with me two times out of the three battles against her. Also, is mouroot by any chance that pokemon mentioned before with one of the highest attack stat?

Nope. That would be the ace of the second gym (just in case you thought things would be getting any easier from now on) :P

Well they will be. We now have more damaging moves to avoid being walled by Cursed B00ty Ebounny :P

*casually switches his sig to a mini Se7en showcase*

For me the gym fight more or less came down to just killing everything with Sinestro (I think I may have butchered the name, I forget what its name was, the dark/bug evolved pokemon) on my first attempt - it got overleveled during the fight which was a bit of a nuisance but it almost soloed the fight for me (I had to switch out to another pokemon against what I think was a ghost/fairy and then I debuffed it a bit and then healed before finishing it off with Sinestro again). It probably didn't help that my other pokemon were all underleveled (pretty much all level 9-10) other than Sinestro, so I kind of had to rely on it, but most of her pokemon couldn't do much damage to sinestro while it could 2HKO most of her pokemon (or OHKO if it gets a fell stinger off).

One of the unusual things that's been giving me some difficulty this time is that I just don't know what types everything is - I'm not really used to this at all since I know the types of all canon pokemon off the top of my head, but simply not knowing the typing of everything I'm fighting against makes the game just so much more difficult to deal with, and on top of that I have no idea when (or if) my pokemon my evolve or what abilities they learn etc. so I can't really develop strategies other than just picking 6 pokemon almost randomly and then leveling them up.

The name you're looking for is Sinisect. Cool nickname for it on Sinestro tho, I call mine Sin xD

It is technically possible soloing Mary with just sinisect, as it resists 70% of what her team can through at you, but the level cap is there to prevent you of getting too lucky. Still, even with that, it is possible that the mon listens to you all the time no matter what level, but again, that's a very, very lucky feat.

Anyways, the problem you describe about not knowing the types, stats and levels of evolution/move-learning, that's pretty much intentional on our side. You're supposed to go in blind, fight things without knowing what they can do, and catch and use mons you don't know what will evolve into or what they will be able to do.

This was intentional btw. Nowadays anyone can beat any Pokemon game simply by strategizing in advance, possibly with help from Bulbapedia/Serebii/Smogon (to the point that Ame had to come up with the field effects to keep things fresh in Reborn). We tried to take this away from players, in order to recreate the original feeling of Gen 1, when you played randomly, innocently if you will, without a pre-determined strategy.

Also, what the hell is a Sinestro? Did you mean Sinisect? o.O

On the same note, what level is Elftik's evolution? I want to know before I make my "tik army"

We can't tell you the exact level, but think of it this way: if its evo's sprite appears in the game's folder at this point, then the mon evolves within the level cap of the episode.

And how many elftiks have you found in order to consider it an "army"? why do you find so many of these things? dammit ;-;

Fun fact, I've personally only found one legitimately through random encounters, the others were created for testing purposes so I HIGHLY doubt someone can get that many, considering it's THE RAREST pokemon in the game.
