Pokemon Se7en - Currently on hiatus

Recommended Posts

I have theories on how to get them, but I'll hold off the conjecture until one of the others is revealed, or Eevee is obtainable.

Meanwhile... what is the "highest base HP Pokemon from Se7en" in the ghost gym? The boat? The fairy? The Eevee? I didn't get the chance to see, since +2A lv20 Sinisect kinda doesn't discriminate :P

Also, my thoughts for the acclaimed Haunteon's base stats: They add up to 530.

Hp 110- It took a decent number (okay, coinflip survival of two) of hits from Adamant Rooder. This or Defense is high.

At 65- At a low level, 65 is still pretty good as far as attacks go, but it dealt what felt "lower" (Not OHKO)

Df 65- this or HP is high. Hedging on HP.

Sa 130- Everything died in one hit, except on resist/immune. I blame 0IVs, but may as well conjecture away :P

Sd 60- Never got to test its SDef, so... why not

Sp 95- Seemed decently fast, outspeeding everything that was at/below cap.

Came out looking like Glaceon with speed, I guess.

Stealing from Ceph's guess, then (since OHKO wars are apparently bad for judging stats) :P

65/95/65/110/60/130

Only swapped the defenses from Ceph's guess. If that's wrong, then I'm right that it's wrong, because I have no clue :P

It is fun not knowing what your Pokemon will be able to do until you experiment, though :)

HP - 65

Atk - 95

Def - 65

Sp.Atk - 130

SP.Def - 60

Speed - 110

I'll be expecting my cookie.

I remember you said in a previous announcement that you had TWO new eeveelutions (the one that had numbers next to every type). When did they become three? We knew the ghost and poison ones... what's the other type?

So I downloaded Se7en. I chose Lifoam as my first pokemon and got rekt by both Catherine and Tim :/ is this normal? And I thought pokemon reborn hardcore was tough

The battles against Catherine and Timothy's starters are mostly luck-based, since your mons are all level 5. You just had bad luck there :P

But we do intend to make the game harder than the canon games; Most Gym battles will be quite tough, and even more so when you haven't met the Pokemon you've fought before!

Indeed, haha I wish there was a walkthrough for the first chapter, I hate not knowing all the pokemon that can be caught and what I might be missing out on

There IS at least a playthrough on YT, but frankly, if you use it to know in advance what to expect, you will completely miss the point of the game. What makes our game unique is the fact that you don't know in advance what you are going to run into, even when you encounter a Pokemon you don't know its type, ability, stats and movepool, you don't know what evolves when, and so on. And it is not knowing that gives you the thrill that makes the game a continuous discovery, much like in RBY. Take this away, and the game experience becomes quite shallow IMO.

And yeah like in all Pokemon games of this world, the first battle(s) with the rivals are completely luck-based. To be beaten by both Cat and Tim, you had some really bad luck is all.

I hear you and it is fun, what I mean is as a completionist I get super paranoid I am not catching everything I can. I remember seeing a post you mentioned earlier in the thread about how many pokemon are available to catch in this episode but I am nowhere near it, then again I haven't gotten to the end of the chapter either. It is like you said there are completely new pokemon. I have no idea who they are or what they do. And I want to test them all now haha

vsduster_by_rbrnnova-d9o5lzg.png<-- new Duster

Duster got a little more "rugged" over time. Almost like he's tired of waiting for CH2 to come out to kick trainers' butts.

Nor gonna lie, this leaps and bounds better. Hat angle still seems slightly strange, but that's the only cocern I'd have.

Spectreon rolls off the tongue much better.

Whatever, Ghost Eevee is best Eevee.

Aside from Umbreon. Umbreon is bae.

Found it in Desolation a while ago, thought I'd check here, too. Searched thread for "cancel" but did not find it, so...

If you are holding a Pokemon (in the PC), and you press C/Enter, scroll down to (and select) Cancel, you will exit the PC... and the Pokemon you were holding is destroyed.

I'm starting to think this is a common Essentials bug or something :P

EDIT:

Minor Reborn spoilers, but it's what the bug sorta is, so...

Department Store elevator aide acts like the 7th Street one in Reborn, as far as what she says.

:< how much is completed?

You mean of Ep 2? We CLEARLY stated it would come either in the last week of february or in the first week of march, so be patient :P

Meanwhile, monday is going to be the first anniversary of this project, so expect a big announcement to celebrate. Hint: it will involve a recurring element of Pokemon games that was conspicuously absent from Ep 1.

damn... it's already been a year?

Not for you. This topic was started in may, so it's been much less than a year since you became aware of this project. But the exchange in a certain topic that caused myself and Zim to become interested in each other's ideas happened on january the 31st, and the next day I approached him with the idea which would later become Se7en.
