If my info is correct, they will appear in Ep.3-4.

There is a recurring NPC whose final team includes your Pokemon, and another one whose final team includes Jericho's. Both are scheduled to make an appearance in Ep 2, but frankly I can't remember whether their initial teams will already feature the respective unevolved forms, or if they will start using them later on. Given the kind of environment players will be exploring in Ep 2, I dare say yours has much better chances of showing up compared to Jericho's.

I don't suppose you'll be giving out info on the rest of the pokemon we will encounter, but if you could choose one of these options, which would it be?

I'll make them general so you won't have regrets answering. What types will dominate the area of Ep.2?

After Pineapple's (legitimate) complaints that the variety of Pokemon available in Ep 1 was rather shallow, we put our best efforts into guaranteeing that all types would be equally represented in Ep 2. So yeah, of course some types are still going to be more common than others, but there isn't going to be a "dominance". You will be given a reasonably wide array of choices for each type. This is caused by the fact that players will be exploring the western side of the map you can see in the OP which, as I have stated many times, features many different ecosystems (grassland, rough terrain, even a desert) and thus a lot of diversity in terms of Pokemon caught. Also, events are going to be included to allow you to get your hands on even more species, fishing will become available, and... Remember how we stated that each area in the game is going to have an ultra-rare wild encounter that is of the Fairy type (or destined to evolve into that type anyway)? Well, not counting Elftik there are going to be 3 new such ultra-rare Pokemon, each in a different area.

So yeah, the game is just getting started, so it's still too soon to talk about a "turning point", but in Ep 2 we will really begin showing off our stuff

I would like to thank each and every one of you, from the bottom of my heart, staffers and fans alike, for making all this possible. But most of all, I would like to thank Zim: we have had our differences and our problems, our happy times and our sad times, but by sticking together through all that, we have both grown and improved as human beings, and our dream has come to involve and embrace more and more people every day. Here's to many more years together, my friend. As many as it may take to see this incredible adventure through its end, and many many more.

Phew, I am getting all teary already, maybe I should move away from the emotional stuff: I believe there was a promise of a big announcement for the anniversary, right? Well, here is a plot twist: there's not going to be anything of the sort. No "the following announcement" banner, no mildly ironic/snarky/trolly comments from the staffers, no new artworks of Pokemon or screenshots of new functionalities or whatever. Instead, what we are going to do is to publicly divulge an e-mail: who sent it, and to whom? And what is the e-mail about? And what does it have to do with the anniversary of this project? Well, read on to find out!

This man is known in the underground world by the nickname Newton. He has a past as enforcer in many low-profile criminal gangs, but after he found a job as bouncer in a popular club of Elysia City he apparently cleared his ways. He has since alligned himself with Ewan Locke, seemingly as hired muscle, and currently acts as his right-hand man. It should be stressed, however, that neither he nor Locke currently have criminal charges to their name.



This woman is the reason why this investigation even exists. Known only by her codename, Brigit Q, she is a hitwoman, a killer for hire who is currently ranked #17 in the list of the 1000 most dangerous wanted criminals worldwide. While she has always been able to evade arrest, multiple reports confirm that she is currently in the Graterras region, where she appears to have established a working relationship with both Locke and Newton. We should point out that their association with her is currently the only shady aspect of their otherwise perfectly legal activities: still, considering her reputation, that was more than enough to justify this investigation.

According to insistent rumors we have collected from various sources, it would appear that these three people, along with a fourth individual whose identity remains undisclosed for the time being, have formed an independent group within a major company of the region. Some even go as far as to claim that they are planning a takeover of the company itself. While insider trading isn't usually a crime that falls under the competence of Interpol, the presence in the group of an internationally wanted criminal is something that shouldn't be overlooked.
You are to verify these rumors, and find out the truth behind the existance and the purposes of this group. Remember that this is not an officially sanctioned investigation, as we did not have enough elements to justify notifying the local police department. You are therefore to use discrection: should you meet the targets or acquire critical information about them, do not engage them, we repeat, do NOT engage them. You are to immediately report to this command any and all of your findings, and await further instructions before opting for an action.

Thb, I learned who looker was through this game. No joke. I have never played canon games so before se7en to me looker was just a guy that appeared in the (unova, was it?) anime sometimes.

But yeah, codename "handsome" and the possible father of the canon protagonists according to a theory thread in the pokemon fanclub subforum, Looker's back!!! what mons will he be using tho, considering croagunk is not in the region? hmmm....

I am saying this to both Red and Cepheus. We ARE going to deal with the whole concept of crime in a rather mature, realistic fashion (as in, no cartoon-ish mafia or astronauts or eco terrorists or medieval knights or whatever Team Flare are supposed to be, but criminals behaving very similarly to how criminals would behave in real life), but this is still a Pokemon game, never forget that. Elements like fantasy gun control (scroll down until you find the Pokemon example) are still there.

Also, may I say that I am more than a bit disappointed by Cepheus? I purposedly slipped in, when writing this e-mail, many elements that one could spot by reading between the lines, that would hint at the existance of a larger backstory behind this whole thing. And there are mentions of a certain "major company", as well. I was expecting Cepheus Logic to find and piece together all such elements, but it would seem he let me down this time ;-;

well... Looker only uses Croagunk in the Manga and in Platinum (where he got his debut)

In X and Y he says he USED to have a Pokemon but he doesn't anymore... he might not even have a Pokemon when we meet "him" - he might just catch one since he "just arrives" and then it might be one we don't know about yet...

(maybe a flying type to keep an eye on those bad guys from a bove)

I'd say team flare are nazis, in a way? they want to destroy everything that is not beautiful in the world according to their ideals. They also want money and power. So yeah nazis in a way, but very fashionable ones at that.

Anyways, Cepheus logic will come thru in the end, I'm sure of it. Right now, Ceph is assembling a team of mini cephs to analyse the whole announcement, looking for clues, secret codes, and probably the illuminati too. Just wait and you'll see.
