Poke'mon Battlegrounds- CHAPTER 2 [OPEN]

Hours have passed once more and the Magic Kingdom's Exploration team has Finally reached the shores of Mushroom Plains. "So the rumors are true.... there's a whole different continent on this side of the world." He said as he looked out in amazement. He then turned to Titania. "Go wake the others I'll drop the anchor and start to set up camp."

Titania - Gardevior

"Of course." She said to Vertex before she headed down to wake up the nappers. Though she though she'd have some fun with it so she used dream eater on them. She did in a way that didn't harm them, but it was supposed to scare them out of their pants. 'Oh I can't wait to see the looks on their faces when they wake up!' Titania thought to herself manically as she began to toy with their dreams in order to wake them up.

Ulkina (Latias)

She looked the Salamence dead in the eyes. The look on his face. Infuriation was at least half of it. Something else looked to be weighing in on his mind, but she couldn't put a finger on it, so she stuck to what she could deduce from the surface.

"I think I understand this little charade you're throwing up. You're scared aren't you? You're scared the kingdom is gonna go to shit, even Azauqyar is scared of that I'd think. You're scared that someone younger than you is going to ascend the throne. You're scared that Kruga may have been foolish. He was younger than us and he tried to fight all those Gyarados all by himself. You're scared we'll make the same mistake he did. It doesn't matter, because it was his word before yours. You've tried intimidating people into thinking that maybe, just maybe, Azauqyar would be a better leader. Hell he might be for all I know. Kruga's word before yours. He named Eric and me as successors, not you. The people would be willing to die for their leader, or else they'd defect to the other scums of the Earth. The problem is, I haven't made up my mind to see if I am worth dying for. Eric hasn't either. I know you're scared to death of death itself, but we have to give it hell trying."

Ulkina looked to the horizon and shut her eyes.

"The people of the Sky Kingdom need a leader who will take charge. I don't know if Eric is willing to do it, but I might."

Ulkina clasped the green scale. "I don't give a fuck about formalities when so many atrocities are being committed in this world. That's why you better get your shit together Stratos. Maybe you were wrong about brother. Maybe you were right. I don't know, and he isn't my problem now. He's yours."

She looked back to Stratos. "I am taking a leave. If your guards try to stop me, I won't be afraid to use force on them. I don't want toñ but you'll bring it upon yourself if you do. I need time to think. Maybe I am not a reason worth dying for. But maybe I am a part of the reason. Maybe Eric's another part. Together we can be the reason to die for. Until then, goodbye."

With the sudden speech concluded, she flew away from the castle, holding back her tears until she was clear out of Stratos' site. "I'm sorry Eric," she whispered. "I'm sorry brother."

Xeen - Kabutops

The fossil Poke'mon woke up feeling very displeased "When I said to wake me when we touch shore that is not what I meant" He scolded at Tinania. He then exhaled "Then again what should I have expected from a commander from the Magic kingdom" He got out of bed and used a gent;e water pulse on Zabuza so he wouldn't have to suffer the same rude awakening he did.

Titania - Gardevior & Zabuza - Frokie

The water pulse woke up the Frokie before Titania could mess with his dreams, "Wha-, are we here?" The frog asked the two near him. "You know you don't have to take things so personally. It was only a friendly joke." She said disappointed in Xeen's lack of humor. All she wanted to do was to joke around with them, though it seems that pokemon now-a-days can't even take a joke without getting angry with one another. "Anyways, Vertex is setting up camp we should go and help." She said before she went back up stairs and onto dry land to help. "I don't know what happened between you two but time's a-wasteing." with that he followed Titania onto the dry land.

[Sutoratosu]

Stratos- Salamance

"I swear to all the fucking gods..." Stratos muttered, face-palming after the whole little speech from the girl. "Everything you try to teach these children, all the lessons you try to ingrain in them so that they are ready and you will not have to defend your own people from them, but instead will only have to defend them as you would your own people... they all have such a way of misconstruing everything and missing the ultimate point. This damn younger generation...no idea what it means to rule."

Regardless, he kept moving, ordering those stragglers who had been watching to get their asses in gear. Before long they were before the Keep's front gates. Stratos instructed the guardsman stationed to go fetch Swain... there was something they needed to discuss about all this. After the soldier rushed off like death itself he turned to one of those knights in his entourage, choosing carefully...

"You there!" He said, eyes finally falling on a Hydreigon and a few sigilyphs. "Yes, you, go to the mountian's heart and tell the scholars of White Crescent we need an Odd Keystone! be quick about it!"

"My lord, but...what is an Odd Keystone?" one of the asked.

"Aye, and who are the scholars of White Crescent...?"

"Good Arceus, must I explain everything... They are the Clerics and Magi and Wise Men of this nation, the best within our borders, all gathered under one roof so that they may work towards a better future- understood? Where do you think all our healers and mages are trained? How do you think the knowledge was gained to built this city so high in the mountains, so close to the sky?" He almost felt as though it would be better if he just went himself and save the trouble... but he knew he could not do that. "As for what an Odd Keystone is, it is a prison used to imprison malicious spiritual entities, made active when placed upon a specifically constructed stone monument. I need you to go to the Order and tell them that we need them to begin constructing this structure immediately- look for the mark of a white crescent moon in the city, for those are the entry ways to their chambers. Now GO!" They asked no more questions, rushing off to fullfill the orders... Stratos turned back to the gates of the keep.

"Come on, damn it... how long does it take to find one old honchcrow?"

After setting up camp. the Exploration team sat down and had dinner.

Vertex - Bisharp

"Well, we made it" he grind. As he took another serving of the stew, he said to the gang "so what kinds of poke'mon do you think we will see?". He then took out a current map even though it was clearly it was now out of date. "I don't know about you but I think we may see Poke'mon we haven't even SEEN before"

Zabuza - Frokie & Titania - Gardevior

"Maybe we'll see pokemon that are trees or maybe bushes OR maybe even mushrooms!" The Frokie said excitedly.

"Oh come now, keep hyping yourselves up like this and it'll only lead to disappointment." The Gardevior said with a chuckle.

Xeen - Kabutops

"Its not that strange when you think about it." He exhaled, "I mean look at lord Krusher, he's twice the natural size of a tyrantrum" he paused. and looked out to the ocean "And who knows what lies at the ocean floor". he then looked back to the team " and let's not forget the fact that I'm a shiny poke'mon". He exhaled bubbles

"I bet they'll think that all Kabutops are green. It'll be funny when they find out that you were shiny the whole time." The frog laughed. Though that would be kinda strange to find out the first pokemon you met if that species is shiny.

"Like your in any position for telling jokes, at least we are all fully evolved" he exhaled with a grin. "Besides I'mm going to re apply my mud once we get moving come morning". He paused and looked up at the sky. "call me crazy... but do you ever think that maybe this world isn't the only one inhabited by poke'mon?"

The Sky Kingdom

The Sigilyph present had informed the mages about the guard being sent. The guard found his way to the scholars of White Cresent easily. It seems they were guiding him there. The commotion in the kingdom had alerted them and mentally locating the Champion and understanding his orders had been easy. The keystone had been prepared by the time the guard came. "Here, take it and go. Hurry. Also send someone down to the Crobat Caves. I think they will find the ghost there. I can vaguely sense him." an old mage told him. He hurried off to the Champion, relaying the information given by the scholars and handing over the Odd Keystone. He waited for orders from the giant.

Lt. Dravius rushed of in the direction pointed out by Stratos. He hoped to find the Lord Regent soon. Soon he was about to reach the coast and could notice a rather large being in the water. Looking up in the sky he could see the Sky Lord. As he got closer he recognised the beast in the water as Kyogre, the Sea Lord. Hesitant to interrupt the two Titans, he realised he had no choice. After the oath to protect the people of the kingdom, he knew it was his duty to inform the great dragon about the happenings in the city. He flew up towards the Regent. "Sir, if I may interrupt. You are needed in the city. The spirit Alucard has been plotting to take control of the Kingdom. It is believed that he was the one to paralyse the King before his final battle. He also controls Lady Ulkina via hypnosis and is attempting to try it with Lord Eric as well. We are searching the Kingdom for him now."

[syni-Haunter]

Syni finished her plotting and left the old Honchkrow to his squawking. It was easy for her to hypnotise her guards and leave their protection. She slipped into the shadows and roamed around the castle. She could see Ulkina having an argument with Stratos and then leaving. Perfect. This is the perfect time for me to speak with her. She slipped out of the castle unnoticed by the others. She followed Ulkina until the dragon had slowed down and then made her move. "Lady Ulkina, I am so sorry to hear the accusations against Alucard. I know how upsetting it must be for you. I was with him when the news started to fly around that he was wanted. I suggested he run and gave him the opportunity to do so. On hindsight it seemed rather foolish since we know he is innocent. Isn't he, M'Lady?" A tinge of doubt crept into her voice, along with a slight hint of hypnosis. Nothing too obvious, just enough to penetrate the mind of the psychic dragon and raise doubts. If she looses faith in Alucard, he will have no choice but to go through it alone. My words will be enough to bring Ulkina into play. Being young and emotionally vulnerable, Syni knew she wouldn't even need to hypnotise Ulkina to control her.

[Mirage-Zoroark]

"Fool, what are you doing here? You will ruin everything if they find you. This doesn't require your services. It needs precision not insane brutality." She whispered to the marionette pokemon. She dragged it into a dark alley and hide the two of them with it's illusion. "Leave this place. You are not needed. Go find some other soul to torture. My work here is done. I am heading back. Do not interfere here, else they can pin everything on you. The entire kingdom knows about your antics. They will know you have done something here. Goodbye." Mirage vanished into the darkness, leaving the ghost type alone in the alley. The Judge could be heard in the background.

[Komodojoe]

Velvet (Lopunny)

"Beats the heck outta me." Velvet said, looking up at the night sky. "It wouldn't surprise me if there was, though. I mean, there have to be places other than what we've seen or heard of, right? That's the very reason that we're out here in the first place. Not to mention that I've heard some weird things about how some of the pokemon that we know came to be what they are now. Heck, I've even heard that Clefairies originally came from the moon before. Of course, I'm not sure if that's true or not, but it's definitely something to think about."

[Ojama Yellow]

Ursa Maior (Ursaring) & Zaïre (Maractus)

Ursa Maior made a little bow. "I don't know, but this Pokémon told me he had news from the Magic Kingdom, and that he needed to see you." The Maractus nodded at those words. "Correct. I bring news from one of your messengers, a Gyarados." He looked in the eyes of the wandering Suicune. Just then, he did something that surprised Ursa Maior. He got on one knee. "I wish to follow you in your quest of peacemaking and peacekeeping, sir Rain."

Magister (Poliwrath) & Arianna (Jellicent)

Magister approached his king. "My lord, if you're done here..." His voice became softer, almost a whisper. "We have something to discuss. The Blue Orb." He gestured at Arianna. "She may know where it is located." Arianna was just floating around the throne room. "You know, you don't have to be this silent... I know very well that you are talking about me... I never knew that you were one to talk behind a girl's back, Magister..." Magister brought his hand to his face. "Please, my lord, let me go along when we go to look for the Blue Orb. I don't trust her if she were to go alone."

[Darvan Korematsu]

Ulkina (Latias)

Ulkina hadn't covered much ground before Syni had caught up to her. Tears were streaming down her face. She huffed, clearly winded. She could barely breathe and contain her emotions. "S-syni," she choked out. "I-I don't know w-what to believe anymore. The people I think might be right."

She wiped away the tears from her face. "That asshole dragon. I swear if I had five minutes alone with him I would just..." she trailed off and closed her eyes. She emitted a small psychic blast and screamed out to the world."The dragon is right, but he is misguided. I could see it in his eyes. He was a very small and weak one at one point, and he's since grown away from it."

Syni looked at Ulkina in sympathy. "Maybe I won't take that leave."

"C'mon Syni, let's go back"

[Chim]

Balthazar – Walrein (Permafrost)

“I meant the Sky Kingdom. They think they can look down on us just because they can fly. Nothing would please me more than to see your army shoot them down and freeze their wings. I can only imagine the desperation on their faces when they realize they are powerless against Ice,” Balthazar grinned. He made sure to stay behind the King while talking.

Napoleon – Empoleon (Underdark)

“I have decided our course of action,” the King mumbled. He shoved some more stone pieces over his board. “Guards! Summon Armadon!”

Otto (Samurott)

Otto smiled.

"Magister, you may go with her. Also, take a Messenger Ducklett with you, and have them return here if you have found the Blue Orb."

Otto then noticed a small glint out of the corner of his eye. he decided to wait to see what it was.

"Thank you, my king. I will let her know that we will be departing soo-" His sentence was cut short when he noticed that the Jellicent was no longer floating behind them. "Where did she go?"

Arianna (Jellicent)

"If we reel this in..." Arianna was talking to a group of Frillish and Jellicent. "I hope I can count on your assistance... All of you..." The Water/Ghost-types all cheered quietly. "Just as I thought... Let's do this... For our glory..."

[Darvan Korematsu]

??? (Lucario)

"I think I'm satisfied my pretty," a ghastly voice trilled. The spirit of the Lucarionite was receding for now. The girl felt weak, and fell to her knees. The harsh pink light of Mega Evolution once again enveloped the girl and transformed her back into her base state. The black and red eyes she once possessed were now gone. replaced by her normal black and red ones. She brushed her bangs in shame. Why did the spirit have to take over her mind? Why did she have to suffer the duality of sweet innocence and the purest of malevolence?

She did not want to move at all. She wallowed in guilt as the remaining charred crops that weren't ash slowly crackled and popped under the dying flames. She looked around at the little settlement and surveyed the damage. She counted at least twenty bodies viciously mauled, ranging from decapitation to being torn in half from the waist. She had even ripped off the wings of another Pidgeot during the gore some time ago.

She couldn't stay here in doubt and let the orb's spirit eat at her will. More than likely, someone would eventually discover the carnage and if she stayed here, she would undoubtedly be held accountable for her actions. Or more like the Lucarionite's actions.

Suddenly, a large shock wave came from out of nowhere. A loud boom and a rush of wind that blew her off her feet and scattered some of the corpses and dwellings. She had seen the smallest of flickering lights off in the distance earlier while the Lucarionite was busy savaging the people. She needed help. Maybe there were Pokémon who could help her rid herself of this evil within. Decidedly, he sprinted north once more. Toward the main domain of the Sky Kingdom.

Syni went back with Ulkina to the castle. All she needed to do was have her little trick play out. Alucard would be killed and the resulting destruction would lead to chaos in the kingdom. I hope they have caught him by now. I don't want to stay here longer then I have to. The more I stay, the riskier it becomes. If Alucard snaps out of the spell and is interrogated he could complicate matters for me. She started speeding up, hoping the Latias would follow.

Water Kingdom

The Gyarados waited till the King and his advisers had finished their conversation before finding an opening. "Your Highness. Would it be fine if I asked your people to join our mission? Any who volunteer would come with me to the Kingdom of Land to meet with the rest of my clan and Lord Rain. Once I am there, I will inform Lord Rain of your desire to hold a council with the Kings and him." He wanted to get the volunteers first, before making Nessie's personal request. While I don't agree with her thinking, I will not argue. The price for peace has always been the blood of innocents.

[Mirage-Zoroark]

The crowd turned to the Judge, listening to her words. None wanted to answer her question. Mirage realised that she would have to play some more here before things were to get started. In the disguise of a child she went up to the Uxi. "The King, Lady Judge. He ordered his guard to kill my father. All because my father wanted to listen to the good water lady. She wanted peace, and the King did not. So he jailed her. Even the queen was angry with him, and so were the people. We are tired of the war, tired and scared. The king didn't do anything to stop war, but jailed the nice lady and attacked those who spoke against him. My father was one of those. He was killed." Saying this the sandile "child" broke down into tears. It ran away from the Uxi and into the crowd. Maybe I over did things. Considering the state of the people though, nobody will think twice about it. The pokemon went and hid in the shadows, waiting to see the results of it's mischief.

[Aurorix]

Judge - Uxi

"What makes you so sure that Shidew placed an order to attack? Of course everyone was a little spurred up after his actions with the peace group but who says he was the one gave the orders to attack?" The Uxi spoke to the crowd. "I thought I made this perfectly clear with everyone, that reacting like this will only make it worse. The only way to find the truth is by trial. Bring the King, Queen, and the water type to the court. We'll settle all of this within those wall." With that she made her way towards the court believing everyone would follow.

Crystal - Espeon

"You heard the Judge, we're requested in court." She said as she got up and headed towards the court past the crowds. If either of them wanted any sort of peace within this city or help from this city they'd follow her towards the court.

[Nessie-Gyarados]

Nessie was waiting patiently in the jail. She could here the chaos outside, and then it suddenly stopped. She was worried as to what had happened. She didn't want there to be bloodshed. She was here on a peace mission. After a while some guards came and escorted her to a large chamber. It turned out to be a courthouse. There she saw the judge, one of the lake spirits, Uxi. It seemed that she would be having a trial. She waited along with a crowd and the Leaders of the Magic Kingdom. If she was to go back to her tribe this was her only chance.

[Komodojoe]

Sir Darius (Gallade)

As instructed, Sir Darius entered the courtroom with the rest of the crowd. He looked around to see the bailiffs already in their positions in the courtroom. Rather than stand with them as he normally would, he decided to sit down with the rest of the crowd. The closest bailiff approached him. "You're not standing with us, sir? You're the last one that I'd expect to be sitting down in the courtroom." The bailiff looked at both the king and the water type pokemon. "It's because of what happened with the King, isn't it?" Darius sighed. "That's the main reason, yes. I do not wish to be the one to have to say whether or not the King is guilty or not. It's bad enough that I'm seeing this before my very eyes. I do not wish to be a part of it as well. Besides, since I'm the third highest in command, the first two obviously being the King and Queen, I may also be questioned in this case." The Gallade said. The bailiff began to speak. "I see. Well, I can't force you if you don't want to. Just remember: we're doing this with intentions to make the kingdom a better place for everyone." With that being said, the bailiff went back to his post, leaving Sir Darius to his thoughts. "I sure hope so." The Captain said.

Otto (Samurott)

Otto nodded, and then spoke to the Gyarados.

"I have no problem with your finding volunteers. May you have safe travels!"

Otto then saw the glint again, and in the same location as the previous one at that.

there it is again... perhaps it's nothing.

[Darvan Korematsu]

Alucard (Gengar)

He could faintly hear the flap of wings and the stomping of feet on hard stone floor. He heard the voices of many angry guards and servants with their echoing voices.

Some time had passed since Syni told him to stay, and he questioned to himself where she was. Was she getting Ulkina? Was she helping to search to compile on the facade? He heard a much louder sound suddenly. Way closer. Alucard curled up in fetal position to make sure they wouldn't find him. He hoped Syni would beat them to him.

??? (Lucario)

A castle. The Lucario saw the castle. Large, grandiose, and splendid. The orb was carrying her toward the castle. She at least could conciously control herself for now. She found an old blanket and wrapped herself in it to hide herself, in case the guards might have known who to look for from the little settlement.

She felt scared. Scared of the flashbacks. Back in her momentary days of glory in the Land Kingdom as the Champion. She could hear the crowds cheering for her in the arena. The Land Kingdom made a smart move then by sticking her in the arena with gladiators double her age and expotentially more skilled than her. Of course, rumor had it, once the whites of her eyes went black and locked onto you, you were dead.

She walked through the streets shaking, afraid of the orb possibly wanting to act out right now. Several guards were flying around, asking about a purple ghost named Alucard. No one seemed to comply. She was using her Aura to dissipate any attention, and feel around the big city. She knew the orb spirit could barely contaon itself, as she heard the spirit giggling in her, and a small "Ooh" when a large Salamence flew overhead.

She didn't know where to go exactly, so she sat down thinking to herself while wrapped in the blanket. Where did she go from here?

She thought of the Champion days to herself. The crowds again. "Aria! Aria! Aria!." The announcer calling her up. "It's the Raksha Demon! Aria Wyatt!"

She would always greet them the same way. Those eyes shifting from white to the blackest night. She always greeted them before ripping them apart.

"I am Aria. And I will teach you the meaning of pain."
