TunaFishCan
I'm a new user at the forums here, and I'm very sorry my first post is a post where I'm asking for help, but can someone help rate my team and give some advice to me? I need rock coverage, but with archeops in my team, I don't have any pokemon that can counter electricity Gengar Lv. 75 Levitate Timid IV 26/10/24/31/20/31 EV 2/0/4/252/0/252 Moves Sludge Bomb Dark Pulse Destiny Bond Shadow Ball Charizard Lv. 75 Blaze Modest IV 29/11/23/31/24/31 EV 0/0/252/6/252 Moves Flamethrower Strength Heat Wave Air Slash Azumarill Lv. 75 Huge Power Adamant IV 26/31/27/11/31/24 EV 240/252/0/0/18/0 Moves Waterfall Play Rough Superpower Rock Smash(Need Aqua Jet egg move) Metagross Clear Metal Jolly IV 15/31/26/17/2/31 EV 6/252/0/0/0/252 Moves Bullet Punch Meteor Mash Zen Headbutt Hammer Arm Sableye Prankster Timid IV 31/12/24/21/31/5 EV 252/2/252/0/4/0 Moves Will-O-Wisp Foul Play Confuse Ray Recover Archeops Defeatist Adamant IV 19/31/27/19/21/31 EV 6/252/0/0/0/252 Moves Acrobatics Rock Slide U-turn Crunch
Etesian
Welcome to the forums! I don't think you need to worry about Electric types so much, considering how incredibly rare they have been. I mean, we had one fight Julia, one with Dr.Connal and no other Electric opponents ever since iirc, not counting the random nobodies. Still, Archeops itself does a great job against Electric types itself, since it gets EQ from pre-E13 breeding (Wooper>Corsola>Arche). It hits like a truck and outspeeds all Electric types bar Jolteon, Raichu, Zebstrika and Electrode, all of which are very frail, so you can handle those 4 with whatever. But if that's not enough, adding a 7th member and having a rotation or replacing one of your current team members is the only thing that can be done and, honestly, I'd get rid of that Sableye. It's only ever used in comp because it has healing and Pranskter status moves. In-game, we have healing items which make Recover just a waste of a slot and your team doesn't even care about getting hit that much? I mean, you have Gengar that drops dead to any attack anyways, Archeops which will likely be knocked into Defeatist anyways when it actually does encounter a foe that survives a hit, and Azumarill and Metagross are pretty bulky. You're basically using an entire team slot so that Charizard doesn't take as much damage from physical attacks, which isn't even needed, you have a ton of hard hitters, it's a waste of time to burn something if it'll drop dead in 2 hits from any member of your team anyways (baring Sableye). To sum it up: Give Archeops EQ instead of U-Turn (a worthless move outside of comp) and if you want to swap out Sableye, which I thik you should, say so and I'll think of what would go well with your team. Oh, and a comment or 2 on your other team members since you did say to rate it: -Dark Pulse does nothing for you since it has the same SE coverage Shadow Ball has, but without STAB. I'd say get rid of it, you only lose SE coverage on 2 things and neutral coverage on 1. Give it T-bolt instead (Stunfisk>Grimer>Gastly). -Charizard would be much more efficient if you made it Dragon Dance, Flare Blitz, Wing Attack/Shadow Claw, Dragon Claw/Outrage. -Works, maybe consider Belly Drum instead of Superpower since you don't really need it, but it should be alright if you keep it too. -Instead of relying on a rather weak priority move, you can give Metagross Agility and it'll be outspeeding everything anyways, letting you use the 2x stronger Steel move, or any other move for that matter. -Like I said, give Archeops EQ. And instead of Crunch which has nigh useless coverage post-Radomus, give it Dragon Claw, Dragon is a rather tough type to face and you have nothing for it (for now). TunaFishCan
Thanks a lot! I should rebreed archeops with EQ. Also I was waiting for the Charizardite Y(don't know when it'll come out though..) which is why my charizard is an extremely lacking special set right now. Again, thanks for the help! pyrromanis
Since you already have Charizard for flying coverage i would suggest to replace Archeops for a ground/rock type or any ground type that can get a good rock type move. Golem, Rhyperior and Excadrill are all good choices. You can breed your Charizard to get dragon pulse and ancientpower for some better coverage or go entirely physical with dragon dance/flare blitz/dragon claw/bulldoze(earthquake when available).Azumarill has acces to belly drum as an egg move but if you think is too risky you can go for aqua jet or even bulldoze to cover its electric weakness or to lower enemie's speed which azumaril really apreciates.Dark pulse on Gengar is unnecessary since shadow ball covers almost the same AND it gets the STAB bonus. You can breed it thunderbolt from pre-E13 but if you are bored to do all the necessary chain breeding you can just replace dark pulse with hypnosis, although it has terrible accuracy.Metagross and Sableye look fine

Fair enough, although it's likely gonna be quite a while still until we get that. Maybe keep your current one in the back while having another be a physical attacker so that it can actually do something? Non-mega Charizard really isn't all that good...And no prob, good luck! TunaFishCan
Thanks! Like Almost a House said, I think I should get a good rotation member like hard rock rhyperior! Also, I'm doing cross breeding with E12 to give gengar thunderbolt. Thanks again for the advice!

I mean, the only advantages of the Rhyperior, Excadrill and/or Golem over Archeops are more bulk (not so much specially) and STAB on EQ, but Archeops hits harder in general and it's so much faster that it doesn't have to take hits most of the time.
