Any smash 4 wii u tips for a regular link/luigi user?

Idk. Link's boomerang was always more trouble that it was worth. But the charged arrow hurts. Throw his bomb to get them to go where you want them. His dash attack does as much as a smash attack if you can land it. Spin to win, if they want back onto the stage.

I got rekt by a greninja player. Do a sonic and run up and grab alot. And I don't remember what all he did, but side smash is good too.

and I don't do luigi. But luigi tornado for vertical recovery and punish ledge guarding, stay in the air and finish air attacks while moving/sliding away to avoid retaliation. Nobody ever expects the spanish inquisition! his dash attack punch flurry and tend to not block for long enough. Point blank luigi torpedos, spam the green booger flick. look up his air combo.

if u wanna play Luigi most of his combos come from down grabs and also there is a competitive smash player called boss, he is one of the best luigi players out there if he isn't the best already. u can find him in lot of tournaments on twitch or I watch these channels on youtube which shows tournament matches between competitive players. https://www.youtube.com/user/Rurounikeitaro/featured

I agree on the boomerang attack because one good rang and the opponent goes off of the stage. Arrows, I would have to get the habit of using arrows to slow the attacks. Interesting on the dash. So as for recovery, spin to get back on, yeah I practice with the mii swordfighter. (which have a similar set.)

I make note to start the combo by grabbing the shield then down b. For the channels, will study the combos.

i secondary luigi and link

for luigi

dont spam Up B trying to kill

Only dash attack when you think you will hit most hits or when there falling

Down b is your friend for on ledge to off ledge stay close to the stage unless its cut off and diagonal you get a jump and a up B it also works with side B then up B(it can also kill)

Grab a lot when safe grab up throw jump and down B is good damage and can kill if thrown high enough

Down B on the ground to catch up to anyone that rolls too much

For link

dont spam dash attack punishable

A little risky close to stage but as soon as you recover far from stage pull out a bomb and go to the stage if you up B and not go far enough the bomb will hurt you and you can Up B again \(if your close the stage and you hit the stage you gotta tech or it can be to far for your up B

Never fully charge a arrow unless a person is off stage and really doesn't work out in death match(i forget what its called :()

Your down air is a early spike but its better to use when a person is hanging on stage ran towards them jump as they try to get up attack and hit them up and back down at high percents you wont get the 2 hits so dont try to go over the edge unless your certain you jumped high enough to recover

Bombs bombs bombs bombs bombs and more bombs (cover any smash attack attempts never let someone under you or in the air with you easy damage throw it at someone recovering use for recover hold it till the blink then throw it at someone who catches it a lot)

don't try to spam grabs its punishable since you have end lag

for people that like to clean the stage with there faces too much(rolling too much) your dash attack is where to use this as it can can it you run faster than some characters roll

Throw side B behind you at the start and then go towards your enemy when it returns if your in front of the character roll back as it pushes them back and you dont collect it or if your behind them it pushes them towards you for a easy grab since it travels

This ^ was for Link most people i know just put link and not Toon link

Link is a mostly defensive fighter - he does really well when the opponent comes to him (or stays at a distance) and he can fend them off / outplay him with a combo of his projectiles and hard-hitting attacks. He's also got some beast options for finishers if he gets a good read or is able to punish. However, going on the pure offensive with him can spell trouble if you miss something.

I don't play Luigi, but I understand he's one of the top five characters in the game rn, so there'll be no shortage of tips if you have a look-see.

Ok, what is the good and bad match-up for both of these. I can tell dark pit in a large arena is bad match-up for luigi

EDIT: Mael, why* not with a question mark because this keyboard is canadian.

Luigi's down throw leads to a lot of combo options like up tilt, up air and nair.

Nair also breaks him out of a lot of combos.

Definitely a good watch, also smash corner in general is a really good channel.
