Ability Capsule Mechanics

Just a quick question, I've heard that the Ability Capsules now specifically change a Pokemon's Ability to the next one? Like, if I use it on a Swift Swim Goldeen, I'm guaranteed to get Water Veil and never Lightningrod? I'd like to reconfirm coz my water mono run needs Lightningrod Goldeen.

On a side note, any other ability capsules other than the one at the factory?

Ability capsules, at least as far as I know will go to the next ability in order including hidden abilities. They didn't use to work like this instead just giving a random ability, but now for example if Mightyena starts with Intimidate, it'll move onto Quick Feet, and then Moxie.

The Ability Capsule can switch your Pokemon's Ability to the Hidden Ability, if I remember correctly.

There are a lot of Ability Capsules to find. The vast majority of them you will find lying around, so search everywhere!

Actually in reborn they can. Since ame made it so that HA pokemon can be caught in the wild she also changed it to were the ability capsules can make your pokemon have it's HA and like Aurorain said, it will cycle through its listed ability's.

The capsules cycle through the abilities in a specific order, including the HA's. So, if the pokemon can have two normal abilities, it can take two capsules to get the hidden one. They abandoned the random pick due to bad luck being really infuriating at moments, amongst others.
