Fate/Reborn

Story:

Growing up you certainly heard stories of great heroes. Legends from stories such as Graterras, Of Shadow and Flame, and ANKL. But never would you have imagined getting to meet those heroes. Well now you have been provided the chance. For whatever reason, you want something, you want this something so desperately you would risk your very life for the chance to obtain it. And you’re now being given the chance to acquire that something. Every five years a mystical artifact known as the Holy Grail chooses seven Masters to summon one of seven Servants to fight in a battle to the death. The winner of this so-called Holy Grail War will be granted one wish, with this wish you can attain whatever it is you want. In addition, you will also gain protection from disease and slowed aging


You may also be a servant, summoned by one of these Masters to fight and win the Grail for them. Your reasons for doing this may be simple or complex. Why is not too important, what matters is that you are here and you must fight

Setting:

This RP is set in a fictional city called Seigishi. This is a random Japanese city where the Grail War is held, chances are that your Master didn’t grow up here, but is from a different country entirely. This is simply where the Grail appears


Combat:

As this is a PvP-based RP, combat will play a central role. Standard RP forum battle etiquette applies; give your opponent a chance to respond to every action unless it is completely and utterly beyond the realm of possibility that they could, and essentially “play to lose.” That means being reasonable with the effect an attack has on your character; a giant, city-destroying laser is going to do more than make your character sweat, for example.


The Fate series does use a ranking system to help determine combat outcomes: these range from E to A rank, and serve as rough estimations of the relative power of attacks. A + or - next to a parameter represents an increase or decrease in the parameter due to another factor; these are called Rank-Up and Rank-Down respectively. A full explanation can be found here, but the above should be enough for the purposes of this RP.

Rules:

  1. Follow all Reborn Forum rules

  2. No bunnying/powerplaying/godmodding/etc

  3. Respect the moderators’ decisions

  4. Respect your fellow RPers

  5. Understand that your character will most likely die

  6. If you do not post for two weeks straight without reasonable excuse beforehand (EX: vacation, no internet, etc) your characters will be killed off to prevent the RP from stalling

  7. And try to have fun, that’s the whole point of this after all ^^

Characters:

Upon joining this RP you have three options for how you will participate:

  1. You may play a Master

  2. You may offer to play a Servant

  3. You may play a Master and Servant, but not a Master/Servant pair


Masters:

If you wish to play as a Master, you may apply for one of the seven slots using the sheet provided in the third post. Character slots will fill based on the order they are accepted, not in the order they are posted (you may not reserve a spot). If you have participated in a previous Grail War where your character survived, you may reuse them with minor updates based on the previous war’s events


Servants:

If you wish to play as a servant, you may submit a stat sheet using the template provided in the second post. Submitting a stat sheet is agreeing that you are willing to play that character in the RP if they are summoned. Note that, depending on how many different RPers join and how many different classes you submit characters for, you may not always have one of your servants summoned. If at any point you no longer wish to participate as a servant (or a specific servant), simply notify one of the Fate/Reborn moderators and your characters will be tagged as inactive


Summoning and Controlling Servants:

While in the standard Fate series it is possible to choose which servant you want specifically, for the sake of simplicity, in this RP you may only request which class you want. You may also only choose a class that has not already been claimed by another Master. It’s also possible to simply summon a Servant with no catalyst, in which case you will be matched with a Servant suiting the Master.


Your Master may order about their servant in any way they please, however, servants do possess free will and may go against these orders as they please. Your Master will also be given three Command Seals. When used, these Seals allow the master to compel their Servant to do anything the Master wishes, whether the servant would normally agree to it or not. The more specific the command is, the more powerful it will be; for example, a command to “come here” would result in instant teleportation, regardless of whether the Servant is normally capable of doing so themselves. A command to win the War, however, would do essentially nothing. A full explanation of Command Seals can be found here.


Servants will be summoned with basic knowledge of the world, as well as the basic knowledge of the War itself. (This includes the ability to speak the language of the area.) Servants summoned for multiple Grail Wars will not recall the events of previous wars or any information about the world they learned during them.

Servant Profiles

Stat sheets detailing the parameters and Noble Phantasms of all Servants available can be found here. Remember that metagaming is strictly prohibited. Many Servants qualify for more than one class; the class that suits them the closest is where they will be found. A point to note is that Servants that may seem "overpowered" may not actually work out to be so; this only lists abilities, not their costs, and makes no mention of personality. Here is a template:


Character (Original RPer):
Classes: Bold their primary class, and list all classes the Heroic Spirit qualifies for.
Alignment: Uses the DnD system of Good vs Evil, Law vs. Chaos. This is a general idea and not a binding statement.

Parameters
Strength: The physical power of the Servant. All parameters are rough estimates; ranks are used for comparison purposes almost exclusively.
Endurance: How much punishment the Servant is capable of withstanding.
Agility: The Servant's speed, dexterity, and reaction time.
Mana: The amount of magical power a Servant possesses inherently, as opposed to coming from artifacts or magical weapons.
Luck: How lucky the Servant is.
Phantasm: A rough estimate of how strong a Servant's Noble Phantasms are overall. This can be higher or lower than any of the Servant's phantasms. For example, a servant with many weak Phantasms might have a high rank, while a servant with a single Phantasm that is powerful but costly might have a lower rank.

Noble Phantasms:
Phantasm 1 (Rank Type)

Briefly describe the phantasm here. Noble Phantasms come in several types, depending on their nature. The most common types are Anti-Unit, Anti-Army, Anti-Fortress, and Anti-Self. The types primarily describe differences in target area and power; Anti-Unit Phantasms target a single person and have lesser costs, while an Anti-Army phantasm takes more energy and spreads out over a wider area, making them less effective against individuals.

Saber

Servants that were known for using swords or other similar weapons during their lives. They are considered to be one of the three Knight classes and often possess powerful melee Phantasms that make them difficult to fight in single combat. The class is characterized by high physical parameters overall, particularly Strength. They possess the class skills of Magic Resistance, allowing them to resist or ignore common magecraft, and Riding, allowing them to ride animals and control vehicles proficiently, regardless of their own experience.

Noble Phantasms:
Silver Knight’s Blade: Sword of Guardianship (C Anti-Unit)

Takeshi’s signature weapon. It is his primary means of defense and offense, and can withstand punishment no normal weapon is capable of. It is also far lighter than it should be given its immense length, and cannot be wielded by anyone else. No active ability, but it passively gets damage bonuses against anything that could be considered a magical beast

Silver Knight’s Rage: Knives of Retribution (C+ Anti-Unit)
Takeshi’s normal weapon is replaced by two thick, powerful curved daggers whose guards extend past his wrist. His normal green aura is replaced with one streaked with red and black, and Agility and Strength are Rank-Up in exchange for Mana and Endurance being Rank-Down. If summoned as Berserker, Mad Enhancement forces this to be used at all times.

Silver Knight’s Reach (E Anti-Unit, E+ if Archer)
A light machine gun Takeshi infuses with energy. It has no unusual properties, other than using mana rather than physical bullets and being hard to destroy while Takeshi uses it. It can fire blasts that have special magical properties, but this is heavily taxing on Takeshi’s mana supply.

Angel of Blades: Angelic Rainstorm of Silver Metal (B Anti-Army)
Creates a large number of copies of Takeshi’s blade that form up behind him like angel wings, then sends them flying in a single barrage at a target or area.

Snow's mighty dual Longswords. Also, the name of her deadliest Sword techniques. These Swords can freeze the air in the shape of a blade and send it flying at a foe, but even more potent they can whip up blizzards.

Booming Voice: E ((Anti-Unit.))

Using the power of Thunder magic, Snow shouts loudly sending unprepared foes and those not on solid ground flying. ((More focused version of her normal magic... this gives it the status of a NP rather than just a personal skill.))

Acid Breath ((Anti-Personnal/Anti-Phantasm)): [A] Due to having the blood and being made partially a dragon, Nadia can access her linage's Breath Weapon Type. As she is part Black Dragon. She spews forth a cone of acid so vile that it dissolves armour or any thing it touches. It can even dissolve Physical Phantasms((Has to be an actual object.)) up to it's own rank so long as it hits it directly. Grazes can lower the rank of the object until it destroys it completely. She only has the ability to use it once per encounter about.

Hell Hath No Fury Like a Dragon Scorned ((Barrier)): [EX] When suffering insult or being battered to near defeat Nadia becomes full of defiant Energy. Her vitriolic rage fuels her actions and she becomes nearly impossible to put down. Her Endurance is boosted to EX while under the effects usually lasting until her rage and pain subsides. Afterwards, she will still feel the effects of her wounds but will not die only being horribly injured unless something highly fatal is inflicted. ((This ability cannot be activated by Nadia herself.))

Dark Matter Manipulation((Variable)): [A] Nadia has the ability to manipulate the properties of shadows and Darkness able to change them into blades or other objects. It's nearly limitless so long as Nadia knows the proper make-up or close to it of an object. ((This is basically... Reinforcement magic, however Nadia mainly only has power of using it to manipulate Darkness.))

Blank ((Anti-Unit)): Rumored to be the prefect Sword, Blank is Nadia's Weapon of Choice. It's weight and balancing are perfect to the point it can reflect other Longsword or single handed weaponry away from itself. It is the ultimate sword. It also has the ability to Hamper other weapons special properties while they are nearby known the as Homogenizing Field. ((doesn't destroy the magical abilities of the weapon or cause the enchantments to break but dampens them or outright causes them to not work quite correctly.))

Sword Deluge ((Anti-Unit/Anti-Army)): [b+] ((Subject to rank up due to the Sword being Blank and shadow copies of it. It's Perfect balancing increases the potency of it's piercing capabilities.)) Nadia can use a large number of Shadow Copies of Blank to focus an attack made of a flood of surging blades. It can be all directed at a single target or Spread out to affect a larger area and multiple targets.

Caderyn Corraidhin, the Lightning Usurper 5*

Usurper's Roar: Lightning Charge of the Usurper (Anti-Unit (Self) A)

The unique ability to take energy in the form of electricity and run it through one's own body, increasing strength, speed, and reaction time. The boost in endurance is more "increased pain tolerance" rather than actually making one physically tougher. The charge shows in glowing eyes and the air around him sparking as he continues to draw in power from the environment. Repeated use in a short period of time locks him into an overcharged state, heightening his combat ability even further at the cost of making him savage and wild, his emotions elevated to their very extremes. It is extremely difficult to reason with him in this state, though it is possible. It will not end unless he is forced out of it somehow (either by damage to his spiritual core, a Command Seal, or deprivation of mana sufficient to cause him to begin fading) or if he is somehow calmed down.


Archer

Servants renowned for using ranged weapons. One of the three Knight classes, and arguably the most powerful. While their parameters may be middling or mediocre, they often possess extremely strong Noble Phantasms. This power is further backed up by their class skill of Independent Action, which allows them to act without support from their Master for extended periods of time. They also possess the Magic Resistance skill, though it is typically not as powerful as that of the Saber class.

Thunder Vine (C Anti-Army)
Similar to Shadow Vine, Thunder Vine lashes out with vines made of electrical energy, similar to chain lightning, which strikes multiple foes for a small amount of damage and striking Fear into them

Power Overwhelming (EX Anti-Fortress)
Lilith overwhelms a single Feared opponent with darkness and electricity, dealing a massive amount of damage to them. This attack may strike from up to five kilometers away.

Kouta, the Defiant Archer 4*

Kouta has the ability to redistribute and modify the energy flowing into his attacks and defense, granting him a number of "souls" to suit the situation. These will Rank-Up and Rank-Down his parameters, depending on the soul used. They include, but are not limited to, Guardian, Avenging, and Assault Soul.

Projection Bow: Sky-Lighter of the City (B Anti-Fortress)

Kouta's bow. Rather than using it to fire arrows, he uses it to fire concentrated bursts of mana. He can also channel massive blasts and area control effects through it.

Dust, The Lord of Heros. 5*

As the Lord of Heros in Graterras, Dust is the first and most powerful Hero. He represents wholeness of Body and of Mind and as such is immune to mental attacks of any kind. Also, while being in contact with the World, he gains a Rank up in Strength and Endurance. When the Soul is part of the body... it becomes nigh unbreakable as it ponders with the Body. Both are unbreakable when they ponder with the World.~ Dust.

Noble Phantasms:

Terranix Maul ((Anti-Unit)): A

Dust's gigantic maul made from pure stone. It weighs so much most others cannot wield it other than him. Dust is so adept at using it that he can throw it like a boomerang and it will return to him.

Mighty Terranix Crushes the Mountain((Anti-Fortress/Anti-Phantasm)): EX

Dust powers up for an incredibly powerful swing with his Mighty Maul. After charging power into it's head he lets loose an attack that can NEVER be blocked and must be dodged. If it strikes another's Physical Phantasm It destroys it causing it to catastrophically deconstruct. ((so only works on weapons or other physical objects...))

Gemlord's Plate ((Barrier?/Anti-Self)): A

Dust wears a mighty suit of Stone armour. In normal circumstances it is just armour, having no particular special qualities other than being made of pure stone.If Dust activates it however, it becomes an unending sheet of Gemstones not only ranking up his Endurance... but making it unparalleled. However, it causes his Agility to drop 3 ranks, making it nearly impossible to move.

Basalt Mode ((Anti-Army)): EX

Dust's Armour becomes one with the Earth making it impossible for him to move at all. ((his agility becomes Null doing nothing.)), however being one with the Earth he can break and reform it. In doing so he can fling boulders and other huge chunks of rock and stone at foes from afar.

Catrin "Vixen" Edelweiss, the Lone Vixen. 4*

Old Long Rifle ((Anti-Unit)): B

Vixen's custom Long Rifle. It was created using the design an older style of long rifle and modernizing it. It can fire powerful modified rounds that Vixen creates.

Vixen's Revolver ((Anti-Unit)): C

Custom made revolver for more close-quarters engagements. It can also fire the modified rounds that Vixen creates.

Galvanized Bullet ((Barrier/Anti-Unit)): C

A bullet infused with Lightning. It can create hard structures made from Lightning such as barriers or electrified nets. It can also be used as a stunning round that delivers a dangerous shock to an opponent.

Clouded Bullet ((Anti-Unit)): C

A bullet infused with the Cloud element. It is a bullet that can propagate itself up to 9 times each bullet being the same as the first. They track heat signatures and pursue until they hit. These bullets tend to be a bit weaker than her others as the Cloud Element doesn't give them any extra power then being able to make perfect cpoies of them self.

Permafrost Bullet ((Anti-Unit)): B

A bullet infused with Ice. It has the ability to flash freeze anything it hits causing serious tissue damage in flesh and major structural damage in physical objects. It use to severely cripple it's target by making them unable to walk or properly use their limbs by wrecking them. It can also be used to force an object out of commission lest it shatter to pieces.

Bullet of Cleansing Rain ((Anti-Magic)): A

Vixen's most powerful and secret bullet that contains her true elemental affinity, Rain. It power is that to dispel or wash away the ambient magic of another individual. This Temporarily shuts down their ability to use any sort of magic or Phantasms for it duration. They are still otherwise completely fine and can fight as normal. THe Bullet itself is a physical object and still deals damage.


Lancer

Agile, strong heroes that used polearms, spears, or similar weapons during their lifetimes. The third Knight class, though certainly not the least. Their phantasms vary somewhat more widely between Servants, but often use or boost their already superior agility to outpace and outfight opponents. This, along with their Battle Continuation skill, makes them dangerous foes that are difficult to escape. Similar to the other Knights, they also have innate Magic Resistance.

Kindle, the Dying Star 4*

Black Hole Guillotine (A Anti-Army)
Kindle’s most powerful assault sacrifices the majority of her mana to turn Crimson Reaper into a singularity which sucks in and destroys everything and everyone (except Kindle herself) within a moderate radius (approximately 40 meters) After using this ability, Kindle temporarily gains two full ranks of Mad Enhancement, wearing off after about a day.

Noriko’s spears can be and usually are wielded by manipulating the air currents around them, rather than direct physical strikes. They are difficult to destroy and strike with supernatural force, and as there are four of them they can deal strikes in rapid succession. However, they are unsuited for fighting massed opponents.

Divine Wind: Heavenly Wind that Cradles the City C
Noriko can use wind to grant limited flight to herself, and greatly enhance her own agility. She can also channel blasts of wind to knock her opponents around, though to do this with any real power she must land, rather than floating an inch or two off the ground as normal.

Fear Reflection: A+ ((Anti-Unit))

Due to Ignacio's Proximity to the Elder Gods and other beings of madness... he has lost the ability to fear. In fact, his mind turns the effects of any trying to cause him fear back upon their user. It's power is augmented due to Ignacio holding a Page of the Book of Maddening Waves.

Mad Seaman's Dance: A ((Anti-Army))

Ignacio summons a great wall of water casting reflections of himself everywhere around the area. He then begins a series of rhythmic attacks lashing out everywhere. Every Reflection's attacks are also real adding to the flailing of Harpoons. ((This also works in conjunction with Reflection of Madness Clones as they can use the ability as well.))

Rider

Heroic Spirits known for riding beasts (or sometimes vehicles) during their lives. While they have lower parameters than the knight classes, they often possess powerful and versatile Noble Phantasms that are suitable for both single combat and battling groups of enemies. Lily is capable of using her magic to change the physical properties of her prosthetic arms and legs for varying purposes, such as claws, blades, scythes, whips, projectile weapons, and varying forms of shields. The material she uses - a magically-enhanced mercury alloy - is such that it can cut through all defenses that are of an equivalent rank, while the durability and flexibility of the defensive options serve as a rank B protective Noble Phantasm.

Magical Space C

Lily has access to a barrier space she once created to store the parts needed to repair and upgrade her mechanical limbs, as well as to store other, lower-spec limbs for non-combat usage. She is able to access this space from anywhere, at anytime, and thus is able to quickly repair or upgrade herself on the field of battle. While the space itself is limitless, each item placed within it cannot be bigger in size than a standard oboe case.


Conversion Chariot C++

Lily's prosthetic legs can be magically altered to change forms at a whim, serving as her mount. The range of forms is limitless, ranging from human legs to bladed chariots to steam engines, so the rank of this Noble Phantasm is directly reliant upon whatever form Lily is sustaining at the moment.

Ferrous Finale EX

Lily focuses and unleashes her magic to transform herself into a being of metal and magic. Her entire body transforms into the same alloy that forms her prosthetics. In this form, she has vastly higher processing speed and magic control, resulting in her moving and reacting faster, along with employing accelerated mental processes. In this form, her defences increase drastically as she no longer has vitals to hit, and she has a minimal pain response. Her processing time for modular reassignment of her weaponry becomes instantaneous. This Noble Phantasm's effects are irreversible, and single-use. After this has been used, Lily will forever remain in her new form, which is incapable of emotion and will prioritise rational courses of action above all else. As such, there is a subconscious block on the usage of this ability, lifted only when a truly life-threatening situation occurs. Until then, Lily herself has no recollection of possessing this ability.

Part of the riding gear that once belonged to the great Mercury Dragon Glister. It can be used to summon forth his soul in the pinnacle of his form. It has yet another effect however. Lady Jachobim can use it to empower Glister using her own Life Force. With which Glister can wield his ultimate attack, Luster Purge. Will be explained later below.

Mirror Blade. ((Anti-Unit)): B ((B+ when reflecting light into Glister's Wings, which in turn reflect the light once more.))

A sword made of a special reflective material that focuses light into powerful beams. It can also be used as a focus for Lady Jachobim's Spells, being the perfect catalyst to gather the light and reflect it as well. It can also reflect back over light based attacks.

Luster Purge ((Anti-Fortress)): EX

This attack does not belong to Lady Jachobim but instead to her Mercury Dragon companion Glister. Using immense power, Glister summons forth a great ray of Light that vaporizes most things it comes into contact with. It blinds anything that survives due to the intense amount of Light summoned. Glister can;t summon this power entirely on his own and needs the assistance of Lady Jachobim unless it is a life or death situation. ((in which Glister will expend most of his life energy to use the attack himself.))

Luster Scale ((Barrier)): A

Another Phantasm that belongs to Glister. Glister can summon a Luster scale by pouring magical energy into one of his own scales. Whoever holds this Scale has their Luck boosted by immeasurable levels, so much so it is said to rival that of the Gods. ((ANYONE who holds the scale has their Luck temporarily become EX level. The scale however only lasts about an hour or two.))


Berserker

Berserker is a unique class; rather than requiring a particular skill, the only prerequisite for this class is that the Heroic Spirit went into some sort of madness during their lifetime. The central feature of the class is Mad Enhancement; the Master trades the Servant's sanity for power, ranking up parameters in exchange for destroying the reasoning of the Servant. Some Masters choose this voluntarily, summoning a Servant normally suited for another class as Berserker to push their power past the limits of reason.

Summons a cage of pure Lighting around himself. It traps himself and any other inside of it. The walls are made of hard light that fills anything that touches it full of electricity. It is Unbreakable to normal attacks, but can be shattered by magic or somehow dislodging the cage form the ground.

Passively, The Gentleman is immune to all illusions and mental effect no matter the rank. ((yes even EX)), When activated, The Gentleman may imbue the weapons he creates out of his hatred with the pure energy of the void. This effect destroys the very soul of those he hits with them dealing not only physical damage but damge to the opponents mana and sanity. This drains a huge amount of mana quickly however.

Angel-Down Blade ((Anti-Unit)): [A] A blade in the shape of an Angel's wing. It has an anti-magic shell that while active stops the use of any magic within it's perimeter. This includes Ambient magic in the area. However, due to being Berzerker... it's aura doesn't function.

Demon's Skin Bulwark ((Barrier)): [A] A Shield riddled with the horrible visages of hell and suffering. It can never break no matter however powerful the force. It also absorbs magic as it it hit and eventually can dispel a huge blast of dark energy. However, due to being Berzerker it doesn't function at all.


Assassin

This class is often filled with Spirits that are not properly Heroic; they are stalkers in the shadows, watchers in the darkness, and murderers in the night. The Assassin class has the weakest parameters of all classes, even being surpassed by the Caster class, but compensates for this with their Presence Concealment ability, which makes it difficult or impossible for the senses of Master or Servant to detect them until it's too late.

As Phantom has traversed the mirror dimension many times, he has built up a resistance to the effects, allowing him a longer amount of time than others who may end up there. Lines of what seem to be pure light. They'e controlled with gestures and can be used as slashing or piercing weapons, along with acting as chains or ropes to bind foes.


Caster

These Heroic Spirits were primarily known for their knowledge and usage of powerful magic during their lives. While they often lack the powerful direct combat abilities of the other classes, they have access to a wealth of magical techniques that almost always surpass the strength of modern magecraft, sometimes to truly stellar extents. They are masters of planning and strategy, making use of their unique abilities to trap opponents in an unwinnable situation. Ruler

Ruler-class servants are endowed with the power to immediately discern the true names and powers of any Servant they encounter, and possess a Magic Resistance that often surpasses the ability of the Saber class. Their most powerful attribute, however, are the Command Seals they personally possess - two for every other Servant in the Grail War. However, the Ruler class does not normally appear in a Grail War; they are summoned by the Grail itself in the case of a Great Grail War. Personality: Onyx is a master of the psyche, her entire life has been devoted to studying the human mind. However, these studies have made her paranoid. Her conclusions about other humans tell her that not a single one of them is to be trusted. This, ironically enough, has made Onyx quite deceitful; her refusal to trust others also makes her untrustworthy


History: Onyx is the heiress of the Thorne family. The Thornes are a rich, high-ranked family of mages. Beyond that, little is known of her. Her family kept her well hidden throughout the years, it is said she is a prodigy and her seeming mastery of the human brain and expert knowledge of magic attest to this. Why the Thornes safeguarded her so carefully is unknown, some have speculated that they knew the Grail was coming, others simply think Onyx’s paranoia might be somewhat hereditary

Often dresses in somewhat formal attire, He carries a simple-looking knife reinforced with runes and owns a full-sized sword similarly enhanced, though the latter rarely makes its way into public for obvious reasons.


Personality: Idealistic and strong willed, with more than a hint of arrogance. He considers himself to be above those that do not share the same principles of honor that he does. Despite this dismissiveness, tends to be very polite and will not insult another unless deeply enraged. Holds grudges. Follows his own ideas and goals above all else.

History: Siegfried comes from a relatively new family of mages; the Eberhardt name is not one that is well-known for any reason. He studied with the Mages Association, but left upon hearing rumors of a ritual occurring in the East that could get him much further than any amount of tutoring he received, along with a strange set of tattoos that mysteriously appeared on his left hand around the same time...

Skills: Earth mage specializing in rune magic. Fourth-generation mage; possesses no Magic Crest, though the blade he carries has been passed through his family for generations and started being reinforced by his grandfather. The knife is similar.

Appearance: Average in height, with black hair tied back in a ponytail. Typical Japanese facial features, including slightly slanted eyes, an angular, sharp facial construction and thin lips. Her skin tone, however, is a beautiful white that appears translucent in the moonlight, a mark of her mixed heritage. She will wear anything that is convenient, though she is most comfortable in a loose kimono. She has a penchant for wearing revealing clothing, and carries around a plain paper fan that she usually tucks into her obi - if wearing a kimono - or down her cleavage otherwise.

Personality: Cynical. She has glimpsed the darker sides of humanity, and this has warped her somewhat. Her sense of morality tends to diverge from the norm, and she prioritises the ends over the means. She subconsciously flouts her sexual appeal, to the point that even the way she walks accentuates her various assets and brings them into the spotlight. However, she has an unexpectedly sharp intellect, especially when it comes to the analysis and interpretation of body language.


History: Born out of wedlock to a prostitute, Yukine knows not who her father is. All that he left behind when he disappeared was a single tome: a copy of his life's work as a mage, inscribed with Yukine's name on the inner cover. Growing up in a brothel, the management groomed her to follow in her mother's footsteps, providing her the training and examples needed to please any client who may seek her out. Throughout it all, the only companions she had were her mother - who was well and truly subject to the brothel management, and often tried to distance herself from her daughter - and the tome. As she grew up, she read the tome, read it and reread it many times over, whenever she felt tired, or pained, or upset, or overly humiliated. The more she read, the more she learned. As time passed, she would sneak in various moments to practice what she had learnt, calling forth the magic of her unknown father, firing up the Magic Circuits within her body. As time passed, she became proficient at these magics, by no means a master practitioner, but proficient enough to be considered a specialist. Finally, on the night after she turned legal and serviced her first client, she was clutching the book in tears, wishing for someone to confide in; to take refuge in. With a heart of desperation, and a cry of lonely sorrow, the Gate of Heroes was opened.

Skills: Yukine is a Wind mage specialising in illusion magic that tricks the senses. She also has a modicum of experience in self-defensive street combat, as well as a full repertoire of skills tailored towards seduction and peaceful coercion.

Janus Abernathy (Lancer)

Appearance: Tall (6'3" or so), has messily organized hair, no special visual characteristics besides green eyes. Very normal-looking. Almost boring, if you're a pessimist ;D

Personality: Very lively, always seeking to amuse himself, even if it means going against the grain and seeming unorthodox in others' eyes. If he's satisfied, that's what matters. When it comes to competition, he will do what it takes to win through means of sowing confusion and unrest. He will stop if it takes extreme means to win, though.

History: Born from a family broken apart by strife, Janus learned to make due with what he was given. Resourcefulness is his forte; he managed to use the family's separation in order to steal enough to keep him alive. To Janus, what it means to be a friend is to give and give. In return, he will fight for his friends- similar to a mercenary.

Skills: Defense-oriented Wind magic. Few combat skills besides basic self-taught self defense. A clever tinkerer, so Janus can prosper with resources he's given- or stolen.

Illiana Prokofiev (Saber)

Appearance: Illiana stands at 5'8 and is staggeringly thin with ghostly pale skin. She has thick blonde-white hair that reaches the base of her spine with cold, piercing grey eyes that stare from her soft, rounded face. She wears long pants and sleeves, always in varying shades of blues, greys, and blacks. On her right hand, she wears a ring adorned with runes.
Personality: Illiana is shy, never speaking first to those she doesn't know or isn't comfortable around. To one getting to know her, she seems polite to no end and afraid of insulting them. It would almost seem as though she has no spine or will to stand up for herself unless provoked.
History: Illiana comes from a Russian family known for their skill as Wind mages; the Prokofiev line was utterly surprised when the girl's element ended up being Water. At a young age, her parents insisted that she take up Kali martial arts, believing that the fluid fighting style would benefit their daughter as a Water mage. They flew her in a teacher from the Philippines, and she began studying the art for what would later become seven years of devoted practice. She left her family at the age of 16 and began to travel the lands, apprenticing under various Water mages in order to gain proficiency with her magic. While she studied, Illiana came to acknowledge that she had an affinity for healing. As she began her work on her own, her name became more well known to those around; eventually, young Water mages would come asking for her to teach them. However, Illiana never felt as though she had learned enough, and when red tattoos appeared on her neck, she began to feel as though Japan would help her in her quest. She quickly began to make her way to Japan, hoping that she would be able to increase her knowledge and skill in a new environment.
Skills: Water mage that specializes in healing minor wounds. Proficient user in Kali martial arts, both with and without a weapon.

Appearance: 176 cm tall, weighing around 60 kg, Frog is of average build. His hair is brown and unkept, long enough to cover his ears up, his bangs falling all over his pale face with the cutely crooked nose and grey eyes. He wears glasses and painfully colorful clothes. You know the fashion term color-blocking? Yeah, Frog color blocks. Badly.

Personality: Frog is an odd critter... He is human, yet he claims to be a frog as well. He is loud, clingy, restless... sometimes even annoying, and he is never bothered by matters which don't involve him. Easily excitable, easily bored and doesn't speak much (but when the conversation reaches a topic he has huge interest in, he won't stop yapping). He also seems to be shy in bigger groups, while keeping his nose up high all the while, as if he considers himself to be on a higher level than most others. Appears innocent enough though...

History: Frog... no, Frog has grown to deny his real name, as well as his family, friends and past. For what reason tho, can anyone tell?

Skills: The element of Fire. Unpredictable, untamable and difficult to tamper with. That is Frog's element. However, he understands not that is is Magecraft he is using because he had never been thought what his power is. To him, it is a power inherent only to himself. A power he unlocked through his meditations. As well as that, he subconciously uses a low telephatic ability to... well, control frogs, read the minds of frogs and generally just communicate with frogs. He can also put small scale curses on others he resents if given proper instruments. No special combat capabilities, although he is naturally agile. Twin boomerangs and a yo-yo dangle tied against his hip, along with 7 various sized... uhm... kitchen knives, he uses to hunt and defend himself. He isn't a master, but he's not bad either.

Servant: Caster- Sylva

Vance Hollow (Rider)

Character (Player): Vance Hollow

Status: Alive, competing

Gender: Male

Age: 20

Alignment: Neutral

Appearance: Vance stands tall at around 6', bearing emerald green eyes beneath his unruly black hair. He is fairly fit, bearing a strong jawline and slim yet slightly muscular body. He usually wears a black jacket, blue jean, and sneakers when he goes out.

Personality: Vance is the epitome of laziness. He does no more than he has to to get something done, providing he can even muster up the effort to do it in the first place. His physical fitness is purely because of his luck with the gene pool, finding himself with a high metabolism and natural muscle development. Beyond his laziness, Vance is easily and constantly bored. It's usually this boredom that causes him to actually go out and do something.

Skills: Vance was trained to use fire magic from a young age, being a 5th generation mage. While he caught on quickly, Vance takes little interest in magic, practicing only because he was forced to. Due to his natural aptitude and training, Vance is actually a proficient fire mage, though he may not show it.

A silence falls upon "Sigma"'s foe, with all sound being drowned by silence the longer "Sigma" is around the target and vision slowly turning monochrome. The longer "Sigma" is around his foe the more likely that the silence will drive the foe insane, increasingly so when the foe realises all that can be heard is their own blood pumping through their veins.

....And everything in between D - Anti-Unit
As the Foe becomes insane, "Sigma" will slowly deteriorate from their vision, to the point of where it hurts to look at him for anything longer than a brief period at a time, though ones endurance can prolong how long they can look at him for before the pain becomes unbearable.

All the other colours E- / C under the combined effects of "Life--Death.." and "....And Everything in Between" -Anti-self/Anti-unit

When acting by itself, "Sigma" is able to create illusionary duplicates of himself, with small, barely noticeable differences between every duplicate. When the foe is under the effect of Life--Death as well as And Everything in Between the duplicates become perfect copies and can all attack.

The RP, I know plenty of Fate lol. Like I don't really understand how anything is structured because nothing is even from the Interest check... and I really don't like it.

I'm, honestly not sure what you're struggling to understand. I mean, I think a couple things changed since the interest check, but for the most part it's all the same. It's Fate, and the Servants are characters from other RPs on the site (which is literally all the interest check said outside describing Fate a little)

< THis brain is tired and dumb from reading character Profiles... do cut me some slack. Reworking Graterras Characters to work as servant though will be hard... since the easiest ones to do would be op as hell((Divine Knights etc..)), and normal characters are harder to focus at least for me..

Also, Huk, don't worry about OP. If they have troublesome personalities or high mana costs it can easily counteract seemingly OP powers (I mean, Lilith can two-shot almost anyone with Shadow Vine>Power Overwhelming, but it costs her quite a bit and getting her to even lift a finger is gonna be hard AF without using a Command seal)

Also, master burden is a really difficult problem for high tier servants, so everything balances out well.

Illyasviel has the equivalent of EX mana, as she has numerous and incredibly advanced circuitry that draws directly from the World itself as Homonculi of the Einzbern are capable of. Even then, without the grail's support, she felt as if her entire body was being ripped apart when Heracles, one of the most powerful servants, moved around.

Also in Fate Apocrypha, you see a master having the most overpowered servant around(Karna) and then when Karna uses just his prana burst skill, he drains so much prana his master almost dies lol.
