Big Huge Giant Update! :D

Aha! At last, we're doing this. I actually meant for this to happen two weeks ago. The plan was this: Update the forums, and then make the big giant update and everything would be [i]spiffy[/i] and [i]new[/i] and [i][b]awesome.[/b][/i]

However, that didn't happen because of various site derpings which were not finally remedied until a day or two ago and so we are doing this [i]now[/i] instead, and it will still be [i]spiffy[/i] and [i]new[/i] and [i][b]awesome.[/b][/i]


Firstly, I'd like to announce our [b]two new affiliates[/b], if you haven't noticed them already. First up is [url="http://www.indoplat.com/site/index.php"]Indigo Plateau,[/url] a general Pokemon fansite that's pretty well put together. They've got their own Pokedex, as well as a ton of sprites, and assorted other content. Definitely worth a look.

Secondly... Okay, funny story, so. This site is called [url="http://z13.invisionfree.com/pkmnkingdom/index.php?act=idx"]Pokemon Kingdom,[/url] and I have not had any contact with the owner... Who apparently goes under the name of Red. Was that our Red from long, long ago? I don't know! But when I was looking in the site records at sites linking in to us, this was one of them, and sure enough, they have our affiliate banner at the bottom of their page, so I figured I'd return the courtesy. It seems to be pretty slow on their side of things, but the forum itself looks like a community role play game, which if you're into those things, can be extremely fun~


Next! The [b]new mods[/b] are finally being announced! Or as it may be, the new and old mods. Firstly, [b]Tyler[/b] is rejoining the staff, though as himself this time, being that he's going to continue helping out with league (which will return, don't worry, but perhaps not immediately).
Secondly! [b]Kitty[/b] is resuming her staff position~ The older members will recall that she had resigned some months ago, but being that she's back now, we're giving her [s]a reason to stay under her own name[/s] a position back with us. After all, she has been working to get a certain part of the site underway, which I'll talk about momentarily, along with[b] Izaya[/b]!
Izaya is the only truly new mod, but we all know and love him, and he's around all the time anyway, in addition to also [s]doing Ikaru's work for him[/s] helping out with the site~

Your eyes do not deceive you! [b]Sprite shop is back[/b] in action with a vengeance! I won't be holding to the same schedule as I did before, but I will continue making items at least semi-regularly.
Additionally, I finally got in the database and cleaned up the mess that damn Sandslash made... So prices have fluctuated a bit. Don't worry, it's nothing like it was before, I've kept the scale the same, but don't be surprised if you notice some differences.

So, there's all these new items. Chances are you're gonna want some $R to buy them with.
So I have a bad news, and two good newses:
First the bad: With the forum update, it looks like [b]you no longer get $R per post. This is a glitch[/b] and you SHOULD be getting it, but aren't. We'll get it fixed ASAP, along with the avatars.
So no per-post income. What's one to do?! This is where the good news comes in.
Firstly, [b]Caption Contests will be making a come back[/b], starting tonight. I've got about 10 weeks of images lined up and ready to fire off, and there'll be plenty more surfacing in the mean time. But, we can't have you all depend on something as unreliable as winning a contest for your income, now, can you?

So, [b]we will continue to honor payment for Pokedex Sets, manually[/b] if necessary. In fact, we'll even give you [b]triple[/b] if you make the first set for a Pokemon that has nothing posted for it yet, and [b]double[/b] if it only has one set.
But we understand that you can only find so many sets to post. So!

[b]The Pokdex Project is moving into its next phase![/b]
The work on the sets can continue simultaneously, but in the mean time, we're going to be rounding out the [b]MoveDex[/b]. I'll post the exact details later, but here's the general gist of it.
We'll give you a set of four moves to provide the information for. You do that, and then give us a heads up. An admin will check it over and after we verify that you've done your part, we'll give you $R 50 on the spot. That's not a bad deal, and there are plenty of moves to go around. But, like I said, I'll post all the details in a bit.
