Your actual save file is called Game or Game.rxdata. The back ups created are much longer and have your name, badge count etc. These can be used to go back in time if you save and regret a decision/ interact with the stupid grand hall books. You can go back to a previous save by deleting the Game file and renaming a backup Game. To have multiple save files rename the Game.rxdata file something else or remove it from its folder then a new save can be played.
