E15 New Availability List

friebz

Question

So I thought I'd start up something that could help us all out and help us figure out which new Pokemon are available and through which methods (exactly how to get them will not fully be explained unless requested) these new Pokemon can be found such an In-Game Events, Limited Events, etc. If I'm missing anything (and I will probably miss a few things more or less) just let me know in the replies. Some of these additions are courtesy of Lostelle.

In-Game Event:

Turtwig (Agate Circus puzzle; where Dive was)

Totodile (Ametrine mountain, left side of split path in B2, hopping around a small area, talk to it before it goes under, need Pokesnax and during the morning)

Lapras (Dive spot in Ametrine Mountain B2 floor on Saturday, roaming around very large dive spot on right side of split path in B2)

Sneasel (Ametrine Mountain 1F on the right side; Rock Smash required. Can also be found in the Mystery Egg)

Squirtle (Mudkip replacement in Wasteland, needs to be a clear day)

Hippopotas (Deep Tanzan Mtn; Giant Steelix location, found in the wild)

Feebas (fish where Retaliate TM is found, very rare and tedious to find because fishing but worth it)

Fennekin (Generator room in Water Treatment Center, need to light up the field in battle w/ Electrode)

Corey's Skuntank (Ametrine Mtn, Sliver Card included)

Limited Event (all found in Police Quest Mystery Egg. A Growlithe egg must be traded for the Mystery Egg. Also includes Pokemon obtained in the wild found in the egg):

Axew

Larvesta

Frillish

Tentacool

Togepi (can be received in Coral Ward during E9)

Vullaby

Shroomish

Drilbur (can be found in the wild in Deep Tanzan in E14)

Staryu

Azurill (If save file is started before E15, Azurill will always be hatched)

Pawniard (found on Route 4)

Rhyhorn (found on Route 2)

Elekid (found in Calcenon City, need Electivizer)

Phantump (found on Route 4 at night I believe)

Starly (found on Route 3)

Cottonee (not sure where it is found in the wild)

Vulpix (available at Obsidian Salon in E14, available somewhere at Agate Circus in E15)

Sneasel (scroll up)

I'm pretty sure the limited event Pokemon are all found in the egg given at the Beryl Police Station, so if anyone wants to help me add to that list I'd be more than happy to make the appropriate additions. One hypothesis to include for the mystery egg is that for anyone who started their save file at E15, the Pokemon you receive from the egg depends on the starter Pokemon you choose at the beginning of the game (18 possible variables for the egg, 18 possible starters to choose from). However, this is merely a theory (a GAME THEORY) and has not been confirmed by Ame or anyone with a higher knowledge of the game's inner workings. This theory is most likely false.

As of right now, I'm not sure. Commander said earlier on in the episode that he could help with that, so I'd try PMing Commander sometime to get help for it since he's apparently very good with RPG Maker. Other than that, I have no idea how to change the variable of what you get from the egg.

I didnt really have time to look into the whole Vulpix thing since I was busy last night, but it makes sense that Vulpix is available too. I'll add that to the list

While I do know what all the Pokemon are in the mystery egg, I feel like I should keep it a mystery (there's still at least one Pokemon that hasn't been mentioned yet). There is also at least one of every type which is kind of handy for monotype runs.

So from the mystery egg...

- Grass: Phantump

- Fire: Vulpix

- Water: Azurill
- Electric: Elekid

- Fairy: Cottonee

- Flying: Togepi

- Steel: Pawniard
- Ground: Drilbur

- Rock: Ryhorn
- Poison: Tentacool

- Ghost: Frillish

- Dragon: Axew

- Ice: Sneasel

- Dark: Vullaby

- Fighting: Shroomish

- Psychic: Staryu

- Bug: Larvesta

- Normal: Starly

Considering what was said in other threads about 1 in 20 people getting their desired Pokemon, there's at least two others as well.

(He said there was one that hasn't been mentioned yet, all of them I pulled from this thread. >_>)

No there aren't 20. Unfortunately you had to go and put them all there rather than let people look for the last one >>. Although it can't really be helped, you were all going to find them at some point... At least you think you have. *Muwahahahahahahaahhahaahhaahahahahahahahahaha*

Can somebody please help me with this mystery egg stuff, because i'm about to go crazy!

I have been restarting my game pretty much continuously since ep 15 came out to get larvesta.(believe me I wish I was exaggerating...)

I thought i was being very clever as i wanted to find a save with a larvesta egg by saving right before i choose my starter and than playing with torchic (because its much faster that way) till i got the mystery egg and if it was larvesta i would reset an choose snivy instead because its my favourite. when i Finally got larvesta and restarted i thought it would be fine because i've read the mystery egg is determined when the save is originally created so i would be guarantied the larvesta again but it was a flippin tentacool which i was very ..."displeased" about.

Please may some of you smart tech savvy people have mercy on my poor tormented soul and tell me where i went wrong and if i can salvage this situation. :(

Pretty sure eveytime you start a new game the egg gets randomized again lol

??? Luxstra, I don't know what you're saying but the Mystery egg is completely random. There's a 1 in 18 chance to get a Larvesta so the likelyhood of getting one is very little. So if you want Larvesta that badly, you'll probably be playing through the early part of the game 20-30 times unless you get lucky.

I think what he's saying is that he restarted but kept a backup of each save from before he picked a starter. When he got a file that had Larvesta, he'd boot up that backup to choose a different starter (in this case, Snivy instead of Torchic) and play up to where the Mystery Egg was, so he'd have his desired starter and mystery egg Pokemon. But when he finally did get Larvesta and then reverted to his backup to choose Snivy, the next time he got to the Mystery Egg with that same file, the Egg produced a Tentacool instead of a Larvesta.

I'd say this indicates the randomization occurs when you choose your starter rather than the start of a new save file, unless he kept the wrong backup.

thanks for the fast replies even though i think i confused you with my kinda rubbish English... trying to type in a foreign language while your head begins to melt from frustration turns out to be a bad idea -_-

oh well ill have to try some more although i think i have terrible luck (despite florinia telling me repeatedly that luck is just an essentialisation of statistics and neither good nor bad...)

I said something, but deleted it to say something else. While I won't allow for Blaziken and Larvesta, I can redo it so that you can have Snivy and Larvesta. That's the only fair thing that I can do because this was an honest mistake.

Geeze, that's quite a bit of dedication. Eh, I really feel bad that I can't allow both Blaziken and Larvesta for this, but I have to keep it fair for everyone.

From my understanding of the situation, he never wanted Blaziken and Larvesta in the same file anyway (he only picked Torchic for test runs in each file to reach the Mystery Egg faster), so it's all good.

OP says you can find Feebas by fishing where the Retaliate TM is. Where is the Retaliate TM, then?

Caaaaaause I never found that

It's at the highest point you can reach with Waterfall through the Ametrine Mountain cave. Basically take the Ametrine Mountain path towards Calcenon City, but before you reach Route 3, you should run across a waterfall that you can travel up.

Well, then I reach a dead end with rock climb.

There's a dive spot in the Celestinine area (you can access it through Ametrine also). It's very big, kind of hard to miss when you see it. Dive, search for a way to get back up. You'll find a few waterfalls to climb and a pretty simple puzzle. Hint: bring Strength.
