Fumble
*This won't be updated in the future.* So here we are: Henceforth, publicly askin' for or distributin' illegal files such as ROMs or cracked RPG Maker will be a warnable offense in the forum. So don't do that, please. Onto the list! Forum Fan-Games These games have download links or threads that can be found here on the forums and already have a demo released. - Pokemon Reborn Hardcore- Pokemon Desolation - Pokemon Red and Blue Deluxe - Pokemon Spork - Pokemon Revelation - Touhoumon Faith and Prayer Version - Pokemon Regal - Pokemon Entropy - Pokemon Loyalty Discontinued or Seemingly Discontinued:- Pokemon Redemption- Pokemon Aegis: The Sunlit Lands - Pokemon Distrust (DRTHH Inspired) - Look on PokeComm for this And now, for the games not on the forums! An asterisk means that I haven't played the game enough (or at all) to really know it all that much. P.S. You can always suggest another game or say why a game should be ranked higher or lower~ Just no extensive gore or (seemingly) dead fan-games, tyvm. RGSS Player Fan-Games: These games, made with both Pokemon Essentials and RPG Maker XP are played on a RGSS Player. They have to be downloaded, then unzipped, and then they can be played. Pokemon Crimson Skies ☆☆☆☆☆☆ Description, by Florio: The story of the Zhou region is one of epic proportions. The Zhou Region is the very first region inhabited by Pokemon, and therefore contains all Pokemon in existence (as of Gen 6). But there is more to the Zhou Region, and that is the Crimson Skies. The Crimson Skies is what is created when the four legendary Crimson Item's come together (the crimson staff, crimson pendant, crimson crystal and crimson tablet). The Crimson Item's are used to make the Crimson Skies, which is a dimensional rift that brought all Pokemon to the world. The Crimson Skies are even said to be the true origin of Arceus. When the Crimson Skies are summoned, many legendary Pokemon appear out of the dimension rift. The legend's of the Crimson Skies are well known, and some truly fear the Crimson Skies. But other people believe that the Crimson Skies aren't real, and are just an urban legend. However, your grandfather Viktor knows the truth about the Crimson Skies and the threat they pose to everyday existence. He, along with other people who have knowledge of the truth, form a council that dedicates their lives to protecting the Crimson Item's, along with the Sacred Temple's of the Zhou Region. They are known as the Temple Guardian's. However, the leader of Team Crimson also knows the truth about the Crimson Skies. His goal is to obtain all the Crimson Item's, and strike fear into the world with them. He desires to open the Crimson Skies, and to attempt to control all the most powerful legendaries. You and your grandfather, along with your Rival, witness the Crimson Crystal being stolen by Team Crimson. After this, your grandfather sends you on a journey with the new Pokemon he just gave you (Chikorita, Cyndaquil, or Totodile), along with your Pokegear, to go to the other Sacred Temple's of the Zhou Region and meet the Temple Guardian's. He warns you to watch out for Team Crimson, as they will definitely be encountered on the way. He knows what they are after, and he entrusts you to stop them. With all 721 Pokemon (and some being Event Pokemon), 8 Gyms and an Elite 4 (6 Gyms currently), the new Zhou Region, and a couple somewhat challenging battles, this fan-game is a pretty nice break from the easy main games and the hard fan-games like Reborn. In addition, the graphics are great, and some of the locations are pretty creative. Haven't played the game myself, but it could be interesting! However, grinding is something big in this game... Pokemon Ethereal Gates ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Despite having a decent Pokedex of Fakemon and very nice maps, as of the current demo, it's too hard to grind up, and the plot seems relatively easygoing, almost as if it were a real Pokemon game. I did like how if you inputted a password, you could get different Pokemon, though! Anyway, hopefully this game gets better as it develops. Pokemon Fusion Generation ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Pokemon Fusion Generation is a fan-game with an all new twist: fused Pokemon, thanks to Bill, who actually has a dark secret! If you can find this game, it's definitely worth playing, cuz some of the fusions in Kanto are hilarious. However, Nintendo took it down, so I won't go into too much detail on it, but perhaps another download link exists... (Hint: Check Youtube)! Pokemon Godra ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ This game is alright. The creators have definitely put a lot of effort into this game. Here, every single decision you make will determine your ending. You even have a little quiz for your starter Pokemon, which includes 8 Pokemon for each type excluding Dragon and Fairy, meaning you have a choice between 128 Pokemon! In addition, there are two sections of the region Godra, West Godra or East Godra, each with different places and Gyms, and depending on which one you choose as your home also determines you career. Speaking of careers, you could be a Professor, a Ranger, a Warden, and more, plus the list will continue! Still, there's quite a few typos, uncustomized music and stuff, and little direction, being a bigger game. It does have potential, though! Pokemon Insurgence ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ TheSuzerain's second game, but this time it fixes multiple problems that Zeta and Omicron had, like a better plot: You have been chosen by one of the Pixie Legendaries, Mew, and may be the destined one to defeat all of the cults, each having their own agenda for their quest for power. You'll meet other friends, some of who have also been chosen by a Pixie, while battling the Gyms of Torren. This game also brings some features from Zeta and Omicron, like Delta Pokemon, fanmade Mega Evolutions, Secret Bases, Outfits, and another new "trio" of Pokemon: Delta Bulbasaur, Delta Charmander, and Delta Squirtle (and also Eevee if you would like! Just saying, Eevee gets a Mega in this game, but not its evolutions, so that's something you could look forward to.) This game follows Generation 6 mechanics, as well. Even though this game is still in development, Pokemon Insurgence is already a great, challenging game, and it definitely has some potential to be one of the best as it gains more updates! Pokemon Island ☆☆☆☆☆ Pokemon Island has a creative twist to Pokemon games: No more Gyms or Elite 4. Instead, we're bringing back the Colosseum, only on Pokemon Island! Other new things have appeared on this once only Pokemon inhabited island, making it a popular place for both Tourists and Trainers! Still, this game doesn't have all the recent features. It goes up to Gen 5 Pokemon wise, and lower for Abilities and whatnot. Still, this completed Pokemon fan-game is fun! Pokemon Legends of the Arena ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Legends of the Arena throws away the classic get badges - beat evil team plot and adds a simpler plot: 5 years ago, the region of Aria was going through a civil war, due to the International Pokemon Championships. Now, you decide that you want to compete in the Championships, along with many others, and you want to win. While this game is still in development and is slightly grind-y, there are many features, such as an Eeveelution starter, side quests, Item Boxes rather than Balls (like in Colosseum / XD), and important characters having their face shown when talking. It's definitely a pretty and fun game! Pokemon Litharreon ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Even at a demo with only 3 Gyms, this game has already shown a lot of potential. Here's a summary, by the creator, Saving Raven: You explore a world back in the year of 1956 in a region known as Lithos. Lithos was founded by a great man who left the only known Region at that time when he was at the age of 17. The expedition was lead by this man and 50 other people; him, his 5 closest friends, close allies who would aide in the construction of a new region, and dozens of dedicated followers. Within months they found Lithos in the year 1921. By 1951 the region had been populated and explored to an extent, but there were many areas still unexplored. Among the booming Region was the Pokémon Gym Challenge, in which 16 of the Region's toughest trainers gathered to be challenged by any trainer. However there were more trainers than ever who trained for their chance to be named the Strongest Trainer in Lithos. Due to the excessive amount, the Leaders changed the Challenge within 5 Years. They broke the Gym into 5, spreading across the whole region, and housing 3 of the toughest trainers, 2 leaders - the 2 strongest chosen among the original 50 settlers by the 5 close friends of the Region's founder, and the 5 friends themselves, the Gym Masters. Defeating all five Gym Masters and all ten Leaders grants access to the greatest challenge, the access to Battle City. In this year, 1956, the story unfolds You are the Hero, no one knows what you are. To understand you would be to alter the conception of Aura itself. You are an anomaly, you are the one. One summer in 1956, you awake after a strange dream and start your very own journey after receiving a very unique Pokémon from the local Professor, and unbeknownst to you, you embark on a journey to answer such questions and learn about your dark past, and even darker future. Throughout your travels, you will explore a relatively new frontier, meet many strange new people, some of whom will become close friends, others...not so much. In addition, you'll encounter a deadly bounty hunter, a strange Detective, a humorous group of Haters; and unravel events of the past, and even the plans of a powerful organization. Your goal is to travel through the land, scouring for leads on the whereabouts of your dear friend. Along the way you will face many trainers, unravel a deep, plot twisting lie, tear down an evil crime syndicate, build one up, travel through time, deal with the psychological and emotional realms of the human soul, find a love interest, and find out who you are, and what you're meant to be. Well, that pretty much wrapped this game up. Some cool features include: 3 rivals including young Professor Oak and Agatha, Outfits, a couple new Fakemon, and more! I can't even begin to say how much work this game is going to have, and I do hope it stays finished! Pokemon Raptor EX ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Raptor EX is one of the older games, so it doesn't have all the new features (I believe it's up to Gen 4), but it's still a fun game, nevertheless. It takes place in an all new region, where you, a Trainer (who is from the Pokemon Ranger game), are going on a journey to defeat the Gyms and take down Chaos Sixteenth before they get the 16 Plates of Arceus. Plus there's mini-games! If this was updated, it could be a lot better, but this game is still a nice one, and one of the earliest Essentials-made games! Pokemon Solar Light / Lunar Dark ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ This fan-game takes place in the region of Rikoto, with all new Fakemon! (The real Pokemon appear after beating the Champion). It's your average, battle-all-the-Gyms-and-be-better-than-your-Rivals-and-beat-the-evil-team game, but with all the new Fakemon in the game, it's a refreshing new start! Pokemon Uranium ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ In this game, which takes place in the tropical region of Tandor, full of new Fakemon, you play as a Trainer who lives with his Aunt (your mother is dead and your father works as a Ranger), but your Aunt is too old to support you, so your local Professor decides that you could be a great Trainer, so you set off on a journey to collect all the badges! However, there's been some recent incidents of new Nuclear type Pokemon, super effective against all Types but also weak to all types... Personally, I love this idea, as well as some of the new Fakemon (and plus some have new Mega Evolutions)! This game is still under development, even after 6 years, but there are already 7 difficult Gyms. This will be a completely new experience for you people out there looking for a new game to play, and a very enjoyable one, too! Pokemon Zeta and Omicron ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ These games are different versions of the same game, with a couple version exclusive Pokemon and villainous teams, like how Pokemon X has some different Pokemon than Pokemon Y and Pokemon Ruby has a different villainous team than Pokemon Sapphire. Here's a description by the creator, TheSuzerain: The game follows a young hero of Nyasa Town as he/she fights against a terrorist organization to avenge his/her home and save the world. The game takes place in the Vesryn region, which is made primarily of three landmasses: the mainland, the Chrome Circle as well as the Vesryn Spear. The Vesryn Spear is only accessible after beating the Elite 4 and contains the second section of the plot, and then the second region is accessible afterwards. There is a wide variety of locations such as underwater cities, cities in the clouds and even in space. After Team Asgard / Team Olympus finally strikes, it comes down to you to save the world, meeting characters from older games along the way, and avenging what is dearest to you in a story filled with twists. Good luck! Journey across the world to help defeat Team Asgard led by Odin (Zeta) or Team Olympus led by Zeus (Omicron) before they abuse the power of certain Pokemon to become gods themselves! And why not, for a change of pace, visit the Aroma Region? A terrible plague has taken over the region, turning Pokemon into shaded, corrupted versions of themselves. What will happen? Only time- and you- can decide. Pretty interesting! Plus this game takes place into two different regions, as stated in the description: the Vesryn region and the Aroma region! There are some returning features in these games, like Shadow and Delta Pokemon or Secret Bases, as well as some new ones, like a place where you could trade and battle with other players, a system where you can choose if you'd like to play in a challenge mode like a Nuzlocke, and a new trio of starters: Bellsprout, Magby, and Horsea. Don't worry, some Pokemon have different stats and movesets now, and there are also a couple Fakemon, Fake Mega Evolutions, and Fake moves in this game! Still, even though this game has so much gameplay and some battles are pretty challenging, the plot is a bit lacking. Overall, this would be a decent game if you are just looking for a game that you could play to kill time.
Fumble
Emulator Fan-Games / ROMs: These games, usually ROMs, are Pokemon games that can be played on an Emulator, whether it be a Gameboy Emulator or DS Emulator or whatever. After downloading, they can be opened up on their specific Emulator. Pokemon Advanced Adventure ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ In this game, you play as a poor Ash (starter: Pikachu) or poor Misty (starter: Togepi). Your Rival has taken over the whole region, and you have to defeat his loyal Gym Leaders and defeat him so that order is back to the region! There are also Tyrant Pokemon, which are similar to Delta Pokemon: they have different typings and different colors and/or additions. Pokemon Adventures ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ The Pokemon Adventures series follow the stories of each of the characters in the Pokemon Adventures manga, with Red, Blue, Green, and Yellow done or in progress. It's interesting, especially since the Pokemon Adventures' first two chapters focused on Red and Yellow, so with these games, you can easily follow the others! Plus, these games are very accurate! That's pretty much it, so if you want some plot, well, either read the series or play the game! Pokemon Altair / Sirius, Vega, and Procyon / Deneb ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ These three sets of games all have new regions Fakemon, but they're mainly Megas and new evolutions/pre-evolutions (which may be a pro or a con depending on how much you like Fakemon). They also update movesets and add new moves. Their Fakedex definitely has some pretty nice sprites, and the games are pretty challenging (grinding makes them a bit easier), but the thing is... they're in Japanese. Luckily, some people have translated Altair / Sirius and Vega, although they'll still have some typos. In addition, Procyon / Deneb don't seem to have been updated in a while, which is a shame. Still, these games are pretty enjoyable either way! Pokemon Alternate Evolution ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ This Kanto fan-game is very interesting, being that it changes up everything you knew about Pokemon evolution. What a Pokemon evolves to might be changed, and some Pokemon might get new ones! Heck, there might even be more than 3 Pokemon in an evolution line if you got the right one! In addition, it also makes battles somewhat harder, and some new things were added, like May and Brock! Thankfully, not every Pokemon has been implemented, so it won't take as long to try using every item, trying to level up your Pokemon, and trying to max happiness with all of your Pokemon in an attempt to evolve. *Also, some evolutions are based on the Tyrogue line's way of evolution, so... good luck with that. Pokemon AshGray ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Pokemon AshGray is for the fans of the Pokemon anime (or at least the fans of the first few seasons of the anime). Here you play as Ash, travelling through the Kanto region and the Orange Islands, following his story. Misty and Brock also occasionally follow you, and of course, Team Rocket is almost always there! It's pretty accurate! The most minor episodes only have small appearances, like one random Trainer who is very similar to a character that only appeared for one episode. Anyways, I'd definitely give this game a shot, even if you hate the new anime! Pokemon Brown, Pokemon Prism, and Pokemon RijonAdventures* ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ These games take place in Rijon and/or Naljo. They add new characters, Types, Moves, and whole new plots! It's still your average collect all badges and games, but with the new types and Minigames and crafting skills, these games are really nice to play! Also, RijonAdventures takes place 20 years after Brown, if you wanted to know; Pokemon Dark Rising, Dark Rising 2, and Dark Rising Order Destroyed ☆☆☆☆☆ The plot of the games are pretty great (although super long so I won't type it in here), but the thing is, the difficulty of the games aren't true difficulty. Rather than Reborn difficulty, where Gyms have competitive teams, the Gyms are really just super high leveled, meaning you have to grind. I remember that when I was playing, I had a level 40 something Gabite, around the same level as the other Trainers, and my other three Pokemon were in their 30s or 20s. If you can deal with grind fests, try out these games, otherwise don't. Pokemon Discovery ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ In this Pokemon game, after a ship crashes from an unknown force, you, as a new sailor, get an Eeveelution as a starter, and head out to look for more survivors. However, there are plenty of threats on the island you've crashed on, and there's still the unknown force to deal with... This game is really nice in story, and even though it's a pretty new one, it's really cool. Also, I do like the number of choices, as well as the sprinkle of Fakemon here and there. Also, rather than Gyms, there are "talisman fragment events", which I'll let you guys see for yourselves what they are. This game is definitely worth checking out, and I'm excited to see what's in store for the game in the future! Pokemon Flora Sky ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Flora Sky takes place in a different Hoenn region, populated with Pokemon from Gens 1-5 (but not all of them). Due to all of the Legendaries fighting, the portal between the Torn World and the Real World has been opened, and you must close it before Teams Aqua and Magma get to it! (Also, collect all the Badges, cuz Wynaut?) Anywho, this game is another one like the real ones, but the plot is decent and I loved the locations (especially the farm town!) It's a nice game to play if you want something more relaxing! Pokemon Gaia ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Gaia takes place in the Orbtus region, where it is believed to have had a prosperous civilization be wiped out by unnatural earthquakes, and the only things that remain are temples and idols of the past. Professor Redwood has chosen you and another talented trainer to figure out the mystery behind Orbtus and save the region. With a great plot, plus many new features (i.e. special/physical split, Gen 4-6 moves/abilities, infinite TMs, etc.), this hack has a lot of things going on for it, and it has won a couple of awards! It's still in beta, but it has six Gyms already, so that should take a decent amount of time to play! Pokemon Glazed ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ With three regions to explore, being Tunod (Donut backwards), new Johto, and Rankor, plenty of Gyms and Rivals, Pokemon of all Generations, and even a couple appearances of the Real World, it's no wonder why this game was nominated Hack of the Year! Plus you have the Sinnoh starters, Shinx, and Riolu as starter choices, plenty of Legendaries (some of which are targeted by the evil team, which also has a foul-mouthed Pikachu in a scarf <3), and even some minor events meaning passwords to battle and potentially catch a Legendary! This sweet little game also has a Donut Shop, which is the only thing you need to know that you want to play this game! Pokemon Light Platinum ☆☆☆☆☆☆ In this game, you travel through the Zhery and Lauren regions, collecting Gym Badges and battling Team Steam. There are also multiple Rivals in the game, and after the whole game, there's a World Championship to compete in! Yeah, that's pretty much it. There's nothing outstanding about the game, but it is being converted to a HeartGold hack, which will have much better graphics, as well as Pokemon following you and more Pokemon from newer generations! That's something to look forward to, but as of right now, it's pretty average, like your classic Pokemon game. Pokemon Moemon ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ In this FireRed patch, all Pokemon have been turned into pretty little Moemons. Cute, huh? That's really all there is to it, but I do like the new Moemon sprites! Pokemon Outlaw ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ In this FireRed hack, you play as a 15-year-old orphan (male sadly, since if the creator added female or non-binary, they'd have to change the whole plot for them) in a changed Kanto. There are quite a few jokes in the game about topics that some may be sensitive about, so that's why it's only a 7. The creator does not mean to offend anybody if you are offended by a joke. Pokemon Quartz ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Taking place in the Corna region, this translated fan-game has a whole new Pokedex full of Fakemon, as well as an evil organization named Band Ambar, which strives to inflate the sun to increase the power of Electric type moves. While there are many typos and curses, you have to give this game props for being one of the first fan-games to have Fakemon. Pokemon Ruby Destiny: Reign of Legends, Rescue Rangers, Life of Guardians, and Broken Timeline ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ This series, although not completely connected to each other, is definitely great, although some are better than others. I'd recommend Rescue Rangers, being a PMD fan, and Life of Guardians was probably the best one that had a Trainer. Broken Timeline is on hold, so we won't see that being updated for a while, but I can say that each game takes place in a different region, with completely different plots, and some pretty nice ones, too! This PokeCommunity thread probably could explain them all better than I could, so here: http://www.pokecommunity.com/showthread.php?t=313984 Yay, less work and less space consumed! Pokemon Snakewood ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ This Pokemon Ruby hack is pretty cool: You have to travel around post-zombie apocalyptic Hoenn! With zombified Pokemon and some destroyed areas, this game looks just like how I'd imagine it to be. There's a whole lot to the plot and villains and stuff, so I'll end it here, but this is a pretty cool game to check out! Pokemon Sweet ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ This is your regular Pokemon FireRed game, but now only 100% more sweeter! Places, Pokemon PokeSweets (both Appearances and Names), 12 Types, Moves, Abilities, etc. have all been slightly altered to fit the Candyland theme! In addition, Team Rocket now is equal to Team Sour, a villainous team who wants to take over by using the Chocobuns (the rulers of the region)! Also, a whole lot more Double Battles have been put into this game, to make it even harder! One more thing is that you can't leave Gyms after going into them, but you can always re-challenge the Gym Leaders, making this sweet game have even more diffivulty (but I'm sure you Reborn players won't have any trouble!). If you're ever feeling in the need for some candy, Wynaut try out this delicious game? Pokemon Touhoumon* ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Here in this Pokemon FireRed hack, Pokemon are Touhou characters! And so, Abilities, Moves, etc. have also been changed up a bit! Locations are also slightly altered. If you enjoy Touhou characters, this is the game for you! This is kinda short, but that's all I have to say about this game... Pokemon Victory Fire, Resolute, and Mega Power ☆ Resolute is challenging. But by challenging, the creators mean grind your team or else you won't be able to continue the game. Plus, there aren't any good places to grind... It's just... no... Also, in Victory Fire, you don't even get any Pokeballs before the first Gym, causing many people to be stuck. At least there's a lot of gameplay, but still... Excuse me back there. In this game, you are a Trainer in the Sylon region, trying to get all the Gym Badges, but also fighting the evil Team Mirage. There's two other regions to go through, Tyron and Johto. The others aren't too bad, and they're kinda like a regular Pokemon game. I also liked how you could see the face of who was talking, like in PMD. However, Resolute ruined the whole series for me... Remakes: (Pokemon Sacred Gold / Storm Silver, Volt White / Blaze Black, Volt White 2 / Blaze Black 2, Liquid Crustal, Pitch Black / Pure White, Liquid Crystal Pokemon Neo X / Neo Y, FireRed Omega, Expert Emerald, Emerald Omega, Shiny Gold (X), Vietnamese Crystal, Blaze Red, New Hoenn BW, CrystalDust, TPP Version, Blue Kaizo, Bloody Platinum, XY: Naturia etc.) ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ These games are just remakes of the regular Pokemon games, but have more NPCs, Pokemon, Items, etc. available (early, for the most part). (Some also continue into other regions, which is cool.) For instance, Volt White / Blaze Black have Pokemon from previous generations, not just Unova ones. Along with this come harder battles, especially Gym Leaders and other significant people. They may have 6 Pokemon, fight you in a Doubles/Triples/Rotation, and have more healing items! They also may change Pokemon, whether it be their movesets or their typings, and they can alter the story and text a bit! In addition, the games have features returning from other games and sometimes updated graphics! It's a nice break from the easy regular games, and they become even harder with a Challenge, like a Nuzlocke!*Vietmanese Crystal has a whole lot of changed dialogue, cuz it's "translated". Sburbmon* ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Sburbmon is a romhack of Firered replacing the cast with characters from Homestuck, somewhat like Touhoumon. Pokemon become main characters like Rose and Dave, Gym leaders are carapacians cosplaying Denizens, and your professor is Doc Scratch. Since this is homestuck's kid, expect loads and loads of metahumor, poking fun at the archetypal elements of a pokemon game. Features: 151 new fakemon! (eventually) 8 gyms! (2 in current release; note that because the leaders are grouping mons by homestuck aspect and not typing, the 2nd gym has more varied types) Horses! Troll Cosplay New maps and music up to cerulean city! More Horses! Link to Thread: http://sburbmon.tumblr.com/
Fumble
Miscellaneous: Everything else, whether it be an App, a website, a MMORPG, a mod, or something else! Goomy Clicker 2 ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ This game is honestly just really cute. You just have to spam left click on Goomy to get Goomy points, then use those to buy upgrades that will help give you more Goomy points. That's all to the website, but you can also import/export your save file from one computer to the next (or a mobile device), which is something pretty interesting. Anyway, all Goomy fans should play this! Pixelmon ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Combining the building and exploration of Minecraft and the catching and battles of Pokemon, the mod Pixelmon was born. In this mod of Minecraft, Pokemon and Items and Trainers have been implemented into your Minecraft world! While the only thing to do in singleplayer is to complete the Pokedex of the game as of now (They're still implementing Gen 6 Pokemon, I believe), in multiplayer, you can trade, battle, etc. There's even some servers with Pokemon Gyms, where you can battle somebody for a Badge. It's a nice way to have fun with your friends and Pokemon at the same time! Pokemon Adventure ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ This website game is pretty easy, and even children can play it (although children can also play Pokemon, so I don't know where I'm getting at...). It's basically the adventure of a Pichu trying to get little thunderbolts to train, but in a Mario kind of fashion. Each level has pipes and enemies you can stomp on, but they can also hurt you if you touch them. It's a pretty cute game, and it's great for killing time. Pokemon Diamond / Jade and Pokemon Diamond 2 / Jade 2 ☆☆☆ These games are bootlegged copies of a Japanese only game, sold as "rare Pokemon games". However, they're not and are banned from sites like Ebay, so the easiest way to find them would be to play them online. They have a whole new region and a lot of Fakemon, but they also have "Engrish" and many bugs. I'd really not play these games... Pokemon MMO ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ This MMORPG is essentially the story of Pokemon FireRed, but this time, you can play with many other people! And you also could go through Hoenn! You may easily communicate, battle, and trade, all in one game! It's a bit easy, but you're still taking part in a large community! Plus there are weekly tournaments, where you can hone your battling skills! This multiplayer game could be a lot of fun, and you can easily make new friends! Pokemon Mystery Universe ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ PMU is another MMORPG, but this time in a Mystery Dungeon universe! It's fun, since you can play with friends, and also there's a couple new dungeons and stuff. Plus that music is so nostalgic... *sighs* (And if you like this, you should totally try out Reborn's Mystery Dungeon fan-game. I know I said I wasn't going to mention fan-games already on the server, but how can I let a perfectly good opportunity for promotion go to waste?) Pokemon Super Eevee Edition ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ This game only has Gen 2 mechanics, for nostalgia and also plot purposes. I'll explain: You are Gold, a new trainer, and have found an Eevee that can transform into any of its evolutions at will! Meanwhile, the Hypervisors, creator of your Gen 2 world, have become greedy, looking to update your world with Gen 3 mechanics... which needs your world to be deleted. Luckily, one of them defected and needs you to kill the others, before one month is over and the world is destroyed...Cool! In addition, battles are more like Final Fantasy IV and lower battles, which is interesting. There are also unlimited move slots, four Pokemon on teams only (but all battle at the same time), trophies, etc. This is a much more creative twist to the Pokemon games, and it's definitely a great game to play! Pokemon Tower Defense 1 and Pokemon Tower Defense 2 ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ These two games are your classic Tower Defense games. In PTD1, you follow the story of Kanto, taking on the Gyms, beating Team Rocket, and preventing Pokemon from taking the Rare Candies at the end of a level by having your own Pokemon situated on a spot just next to the hordes of Pokemon. PTD2 is the same, but you get to walk around Johto (so you're not limited to a level grid). There are slight twists on the plots, but I won't spoil that! Anyways, there's also a transfer method, so you could bring your PTD1 Pokemon into PTD2 or simply trade with others! In addition, there's a weekly Mystery Gift! Anyways, PTD2 is still under development, but there's still plenty of adventure and Gyms to go through! Pokemon Type Wild ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ Pokemon Type Wild Download: http://oneweakness.com/pokemon-type-wild.html Section: Miscellaneous Controls: To configure controls, go to Options -> Keyboard and set them to like: A - Light Punch / Select Normal Skin / Select Bonus 1 S - Heavy Punch / Select Normal Skin / Select Bonus 2 D - Light Kick / Select Shiny Skin / / Select Bonus 3 Q - Heavy Kick / Select Alt Skin #1 / Select No Assistant but add PP100 Bonus so you can perform combos for finishing blows. W - Special (Use Shield?) / Select Alt Skin #2 E - Assist (Use assistant unless you accidentally waited or pressed Q on assistant selection) / Select Alt Skin #3 (Make sure you read the combo list like Down+Right+S is Gardevoir's projectile) My Comment: This game is similar to Pokken Tournament but in 2D. I found this game on shofu's popular uploads and it was interesting. If you can't afford Pokken, at least there is a fan-game out there. Randomizers ☆☆☆☆☆☆☆☆ All of the real games can be randomized, meaning they have different Pokemon in different places, different Trainers and names, different Trainer Pokemon, and even a couple differences in dialogue! Some have even been made harder... It's fun playing your Pokemon game and getting an Arceus in one wild Pokemon encounter and then a Sunkern in the next! I'll get a list of ROM hacks when I update the ROM section. Added your suggestion, BTW.
Deleted User
Flora Sky was an enjoyable ROM Hack. As was Liquid Crystal Uranium's Fake mon were.... eh One to avoid and never play: Pokemon Resolute The game where you have to do insane amounts of grinding for every gym leader and there are absolutely ZERO good ways to do so. Added this to stuff to do, as well. I'll talk about how Resolute kinda sucks about the grinding, I suppose. I've also played it before, and I couldn't get past the first gym because my Pokemon were too underleveled... Also added a whole lot of ROMs... that section is going to be hell to finish... BIGJRA
I recommend Snakewood for its creativity, some fakemon, and nothing else really. Another popular one is dark rising, I really don't recommend it since the 'challenge' is just loading the e4 and champ with level 100 legendaries. Glazed is my favorite so I recommend it to all GBA rom players!!

Solarance
Oh yeah, Pokemon Sweet is a ok rom hack. You can add Pitch Black and Pure White, Fire Red Omega, Expert Emerald, and for those lucky few people who have a 9.2 or below 3DS with a flashcart, Pokemon Neo X/Y. Light platinum is a meh ROM game, it is currently being ported on HG/SS. Edited June 6, 2015 by ! HC ! PokeLuke
Fumble
Added some of the worse ROMs, added the Apps section, and added the Star System. If you disagree with some of my ratings, tell me and give a good reason, and I might change it later! I don't know much about the Dark Rising series, so that may be something to change, but I do know how much you have to grind, so yeah.
kirlial
Not sure what it'd fit under best but I'll mention Pokemon Tower Defense and it's even better sequel, both web-based. In it you play through a weird but fun story where instead of regular turn-based battles, your team are 'towers' attacking the oncoming pokemon to prevent them from proceeding. It sounds weird but Pokémon still learn their attacks and still level up by defeating enemies and you can catch more Pokémon as you advance. You can also trade Pokémon online on it online. Levels are challenging and will require a lot of strategy. Both games are complete though some extra features are still being added to PTD2. If you want an MMO, there's the Pokémon MMO too though I found it underwhelming. It has a large community though. There's a few Rom hacks I could mention but the ones I'm interested in are still far from complete.
Omega_Ra1der
To add on the raptor ex, it is download-zip-play game like reborn. At first, both the controls and the screen are bs. And it reuses zeta and omicron music so much that I can't even. Pokemon Godra: It is a pokemon game which your choices makes the differene. There is two side of the godra region. East and west. The east side is hard mode and west is easy mode.
Solarance
And it reuses zeta and omicron music so much that I can't even. The music that Zeta and Omicron uses are the base songs that come with the Pokemon Essentials addition to RPGMaker, except for the legendary theme. And Raptor was made way before Zeta/Omicron. Darvan Korematsu
*Flips through a list of Pokemon-themed games I have played* I made a thread somewhat similar to this, I think in the Wasteland some time ago. But anyways, I'll throw a bone. Mostly ROM hacks. One particular ROM series I enjoyed was the Ruby Destiny series. Now some have played Reign of Legends, but let's be honest, that one fucking sucked. The second, Rescue Rangers, is way better from a plot point, but it's a Mystery Dungeon type game with regular battle formats. Now the one I wanna suggest is Life of Guardians. Holy crap, I dunno where to begin. Follows the standard 8-badge system, although there's a steady level curve and a bunch of Fakemons and the likes. If I vouch for a game, it's Pokemon Ruby Destiny - Life of Guardians. I'd give it a solid 3.5 to 4 stars. The biggest qualms I have are a terrible post game, and an overreliance on a little pyramid thing that tells you where to go if you're lost. Other than that, new protag art, that's not too shabby. Although other trainers were recycled, it's irrelevant. New music that flows nicely with the game, and a split storyline at select points. Like for instance at: There's a part where you can battle the Electric Leader with a Zapdos you just saved from the evil team as an official battle Iif you choose. You can also join the evil team. But that's all I have to say about that game. It's a real diamond in the rough. If you want, I can give you the full rundown later via PM Chubb. nemesish
I´d like to add a suggestion: -Essentials made: --Pokemon Crimson Skies (Good story, nice interface, non laggy 3d sprites, currently has 6 gyms)--Pokemon Lithareon (a young Prof. Oak is your rival) -Rom Hacks: --Emerald Omega (Expanded Dex- some Hoenn/Sinnoh/Unova pokes + Sylveon added - VERY very hard)
Fumble
...fml why did I decide to make this thread Alright, adding all of your suggestions to the OPs. I'll also throw in Pixelmon, too. @ kirlial I loved the Tower Defense games, so I'll definitely be putting those in. Maybe the last OP will be a Miscellaneous thread. @ Darvan You could send me a PM, but not now. I already have so many suggestions to make... T-T Y'know what? Until the list gets shorter, there will be no more suggestions. Once I finish everything but the ROMs, suggestions shall be opened again! Anyways, did some more formatting things, so I should have most of these done hopefully during the night. Anyways, if you're interested, here's my plan: Update the rest of Miscellaneous games, since that's the shortest. Update the rest of Essentials games, since that's the next shortest. Update the ROMs with games I've played before, since I know more about them. Finish it up while accepting more suggestions!
Fumble
Double post, I know, but UPDATE: I managed to finish a large chunk of the list by combining the "remakes" ROMs into one description! Anyways, the Miscellaneous shall be updating soon, and later the Essentials will be, too! I already finished the MMO, so yay! Suggestions for Miscellaneous ONLY are opened! Autumn Rain
Suggestions for Miscellaneous ONLY are opened! Is it considered to be miscellaneous if it's built off of RPG Maker but never on Essentials? Also, also, also I think you should add this link as Amethyst and Jan were there: http://www.pokecommunity.com/forumdisplay.php?f=

If not, it should fall into the Miscellaneous category. (Although this is sorta a loophole...) Anyways, I'm updating the OPs again~
Fumble
Touhoumon pls? Though you might have a lot of work to do with the ROM hacks already. Alright. I'll take your acception and Follow's PM. But... you could've just waited until the list was more completed... Oh well, I still have higher priorities, being the Miscellaneous and Essentials sections. They could be Apps, MMORPGs, Websites, Online games, etc.
