Here, queer, filled with existential fear

Hello! My name is Fey and possibly the most important thing I have to say on here is regarding my pronouns and how I expect to be treated here (IE: With respect towards my identity).

What follows onwards is basically a guide for what you should and shouldn't use in reference to a trans person, so I'm placing it in a spoiler, as it's likely that some of you already know how to treat me, seeing how there are non-binary sprites in Reborn (You have no idea how happy that made me). The only part I need you to know is that I'm agender and use they/them/theirs as pronouns.

Apologies if this is horribly formatted, I'm doing my best.

'I am a non-binary individual, and I identify as agender, which basically means that if you were to ask me what my gender was, I'd have to reply with a confused shrug. I don't feel any gender particularly applies to me, and so I use the label agender to show this, even if it may look like a gender itself.

I use they/them/theirs as pronouns, and it shouldn't be difficult to work out where each one goes. Just pretend I'm a large crowd whenever you want to refer to me in the third person, if you can't work out where to put each pronoun yourself.

I MUST REQUEST THAT YOU DO NOT USE GENDERED TERMS WHEN REFERRING TO ME, AT ALL, EVER. This sounds very much like it's being shouted at you, but it's simply because I want to be listened to. I'm not angry! I will be if you use a gendered term though, or use "he" or "she" when you should use "they". If you're confused as to what a gendered term is, it's pretty much anything that has to do with any gender. I understand that you might use something as a gender neutral term, but if I don't like a term, I'd really appreciate it if you stopped using the term. This is because of something which makes my life a joy and wonder to live, called dysphoria, which basically means that a person calling me bro or using he/him/his to refer to me, I want to scream. If you can't understand why this happens, it's probably because you don't have dysphoria, which is fine and quite honestly a stroke of good luck for you. At any rate, just don't use anything like "Bro" when you talk to me or about me.'

Regarding where I am in Reborn, I had a save file where I was in the process of trying to beat Noel, but then my computer died. I've recently begun again, and I think my proudest achievement was getting a shiny torchic with speed boost on my first attempt. I'm also proud that I didn't cry when I first saw Kiki die. I'm not proud that I named my medicham after her, or that my tumblr is now titled "kiki deserved better".

I'm sorry.

Anyway, this just about wraps up what I want to say. Oh, and that I've been playing since around Christmas, and started my new file around a month ago and have around 24 hours of playtime on it. And that if someone can edit my file to the point where my mystery egg will give me a frillish rather than azurill, I will weep tears of joy (Probably not literally.).

If you want to get to know me better, my tumblr is squarernoms (This is squaremons because I make too many puns) and possibly the most personal thing I have on the web. Anonymous messages are off because of some stuff that happened, and I don't intend to switch them back on, so you'll have to pm me on here if you want to talk and you don't have a tumblr.

All that's left for me to do is apologise for making it look like I was going to end this two paragraphs ago, and for this post's length.

Welcome to your Wonderland~

Well, do you think the term "xe" would be acceptable? It seems as if it is the most popular for non-binary people, and there is one non-binary character in the Reborn game who prefers to be called "xe". If not, I'll just call you "they" then.

"We hope to see you again!"

I understand that others use xe/xem/xyrs, but I prefer they/them/theirs, and I'd really appreciate it if you used those. Using xe doesn't sit right with me, and as you wouldn't use he for a woman, you wouldn't use xe for someone who doesn't like xe.

Hello Fey,

I think you'll enjoy your stay here.

Also, I know it's important to you that people treat you with respect and acknowledge who you are as a person.

However I think it's only fair to ask that if someone makes an honest mistake in regards to this, you respectfully correct them.

Love,

Dark

Don't even worry about it. This thread's all about you, so milk it for what it's worth.

Anyway, welcome! Enjoy your time here!

Oh, sorry! I didn't realise that my correction came off as rude. I thought I just said that I liked one set of pronouns over another, and gave an example of why you should use they/them over xe/xyr,, but I guess I worded it quite strongly. It's just that it's something I'm passionate over, because it's who I am, you know?

Wilcommen, Bienvenue, welcome.

You apologized three times. Are you Canadian?

And I was wondering, a lot of people I know use "dude" and "gurl" in any given situation, to anyone no matter if they're male, female, or non-binary. What is your stance on that? (I personally tend to call people "gurl" a lot, partly endearing and partly having forgotten their name)

In regards to Helia, I'm English, thanks, and I'm afraid I don't like dude/gurl, because it feels gendered to me? It probably sounds weird to you, as you don't use them as gendered terms and I get that, but it's really important to me and I just don't feel comfy with them.

And thank you to everyone who has welcomed me!

Captain is not a gender specific term. Anyone can be referred to as "captain".

I may or may not have just found a new endearing term for people whose name I may or may not have forgotten.

Welcome to the forums. Enjoy your time in this asylum community. Cookies are in the room to the left and a fern-killing simulator is just down the stairs. To the right is a forbidden room where only those who are well and truly insane are allowed in. You'll get your respect in the forums so you should be fine. :)

our fellow members wrapped in straitjackets to your right.

Wait, when did those arrive D:

They must've forgotten about m- err, I mean, of course they didn't, everything is in order.

You see, I'm not among them because I'm fulfilling the very important task of letting new members know that Team Meteor is still hiring, and that you, too, can become a part of the New World~

Honestly, you should totally consider it. You'll even get a cool hood for free.

Now, welcome to the madhouse, enjoy your stay c:

Queer, I? Nay, but filled with existential fear sometimes too. I just manage to shove it into the back of my head most of the time and try to focus on other matters at hand as well as the aspects of life that make me... uh... not dive into a less-than-quarter life crisis.

Er, the point of that was to say that you aren't quite as alone as you think. We're a great community, I'd like to think, with an abundance of ears, shoulders, spines, and a bunch of other body parts and internal organs. Oh, I meant it metaphorically, of course! Don't worry. just don't touch my chocolate and we'll be fine

That aside, welcome to Reborn \o/ wololooo
