[SPOILERS] Finding out how to get the Electric Room to work

I'm stuck at this part. I do indeed have the Beryl Key, i dunno what does yet cause ive been walking around for past 2 hours. But i go back into the room and everytime I fight the Electrode it spams Explosion before i get a chance to do anything, and on the occasions where im faster that it, It always dies. v_v

Any suggestions?

Well,perhaps you have some Pokemon with disharge? That move is required to start the machine(perhaps also some other move,but I know for this one). If you have,try to use it yourself. Or you can bait the AI by using water type pokemon,so the electrode tries with that discharge and on next turn you simply kill it.

Cool, i caught the electrode and discharged it myself. Then I got the Fennekin, so now im like........ Now what lol

Yeah there is a puzzle similar to this in the Power Plant.
